They don’t even follow their own policy . Hit and miss who handle your case or run front desk that day .
Too pushy to sign you up and I was suppose to try gym for 3 days to make up my mind .
2nd day I got charge $20 to get in .
Too aggressive to sign up and seems like they are not confidence of their services they’re providing .

So let me install your story these People canceled my membership because when I call them and cancel or put a stop on my account because I’m having a surgery, they didn’t put it in the system. The person I talk to you and they said I have a default not paying for the bill because I stopped all my credit cards. I called them to see if I can pay my past due balance because after a month they had people calling me 10 times a day I was past due and I told them I will come and get the things situated after I get better so I paid my balance, but they still canceled my membership I brought them over 20 people and it didn’t count so guess what we’re all going to the next gym thanks a lot guys for your dirty sauna for your dirty pool for your dirty hot tub

As a local gym rat I had a great experience trying out this gym on a 7 day trial! It’s awesome that they offer it.
Pros: the whole gym is very very clean and not too crowded which are huge plus’s. Has a really nice selection of machines and plenty of free weights and benches, also love all the different rooms and mirrors they have.
Cons: The staff are way too aggressive in trying to get you to sign up. I understand that’s their job, but I don’t need to receive a call every single day of my trial and every day after leaving voicemails asking if I want to join yet. My knee jerk reaction is to blame to cooperation, the staff probably rely on mainly commissions to make ends meet. Even initially when signing up for the trial, the first phone call I got and the in person meeting I felt like I was being pressured to give an answer right then and there, the gym is great so let the customer have their experience and formulate their opinion. The constant calling turned me off, the only other deciding factor against joining are the hours. I wish they could do 24 hrs with keycard entry.

Was a member at Brick Bodies Padonia for years, but I left a year ago to try a gym in Hunt Valley that is closer to home. What a mistake. As soon as I fulfilled that one-year contract I cancelled and headed back to Brick. Brick Bodies is the best gym in the Baltimore area, hands-down. As a local, family-owned gym, it's on a totally different level than the generic franchise gyms popping-up everywhere. So, I am back. A special thanks to Ali Nesbitt for an excellent customer experience getting me back on-board.

After my last fall in January 2025 inside my house, I dedicated myself to getting to brick bodies for the aquaburn classes. I go to Physical Therapy and the biggest gains are when I combine PT with strength building at Brick Bodies. Special shout out to Ailyn the aqua burn instructor for the core work and the hip exercises. I feel more confident and stronger when walking.

It would make a huge difference if the closing time was pushed forward an hour at the least. For example M-Thursday 12 Midnight, Friday 11pm, Sat-Sunday 10 pm. Just way too crowded as of lately especially in the latter hours. A bunch of high school/college kids and all the new people from Crunch have made it way more congested. And how come you offer discounted memberships to people that come in off peak hours (after 8pm)? Most of us pay regular price and come at the later hours to avoid the crowds and now it’s even more crowded at the later hours and we still pay the same price!!! Not cool!!! Please extend the hours!!! Most gyms have extended summer hours. Also the gym is filthy when I come in at 9pm. The locker room looks like an earthquake hit, dirty towels everywhere, piss all over the floor, equipment all over the place. This gym is slowly deteriorating. I miss when the Bricks lived in the area and would oversee everything. Now this place is just falling apart. No air conditioning when it’s 95 degrees out. Why was the gym always freezing with AC blasting in the dead of winter when it’s 10 degrees outside.. And now we got fans everywhere with no AC when we actually need it now that it’s 95 degrees in the summer?!?!! Please get it together and stop sending me these useless annoying emails. Just listen to your long time valued members. If this keeps up I’m moving to OneLife Fitness in Hunt Valley. I can’t be the only one that feels this way.
Thank you for extending M-Thurs hours. It’s a start, but makes no sense not to extend the weekend hours too..???

We’ve been members since 1985 and we would not consider another fitness center in the area. I’ve had several trainers over the years and currently I am training with Lynn Cox. She is the most attentive and best prepared trainer that I’ve ever had. She schedules our sessions in advance and has a plan for each session. She knows my limitations and how to push me. I would recommend her for anyone looking for a new trainer.

I recently had the BEST tour experience at Brick Bodies, and I can't say enough great things about it! From the moment I walked in, Angela was welcoming, professional, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping me get started on my fitness journey.

I have been a member of BB for 2 years now. I and a signature member. I love the app and how it allows me to book any classes I want. My 5 year old learned to swim in just a few weeks of private lessons. The aquatic team has been nothing but amazing! Ms.Cherl has been nothing but patient with me . She answers emails and calls swiftly! She encouraged me to sign up for swim lessons. With the guidance of Alex, Claire, Concetta, and Cheryl my 5 year old and myself have felt more confident in the water. They have been kind, patient, and informative about water. My 5 year old use to be terrified of the water . She now walks in with confidence when time for swim lessons, or any body of water! I can’t take any credit for that. We are having a wonderful experience with both the swim instructor (Sydney) and coordinator (Cheryl). From the start, they are easy to work with and made the setup process smooth and stress-free. Sydney is kind, patient, and gentle with my children, creating a safe and supportive environment that helps them feel comfortable right away.
Sydney is clearly very knowledgeable and comes well-prepared for each session. It’s obvious how much she cares—not just about teaching skills, but about connecting with the kids in a meaningful way. The team is always willing and ready to assist whenever needed.
After just one week, I already see my children confidently practicing what they learn during our own pool time at home. Their excitement to apply new skills and keep learning speaks volumes about the quality of instruction they receive. I’m so grateful for the positive start to their swimming journey!

Started my weight training journey at nearly 50 in April. Erika gave me the tour and signed me up. She was patient listened and answered all my questions. After signing me up she asked me to stop in and say hello the next time I was in-I did and still do every time she’s in. She’s always available to say hello and to encourage my progress (with my baby weights, lol). When I don’t know many others at the gym just yet, she has been wonderful. Ailyn Corona is a new water aerobics instructor at the Padonia pool. She brings an energetic and fun dynamic to the classes. She will break into a dance party mode during a repetitive set, adding that fun vibe. Her workouts are balanced and provide cardio and strengthening. I’ve been taking swim lessons from Sydney and I’m very happy. I used to be very afraid of water and not even walk near the pool. Now I’m swimming and working on swimming at the deep end to get over my fear of deep water. Cheryl is amazing and always works with me to schedule my lessons or reschedule when things come up and always there to say hello and give me swim tips!
My son (5) has also been taking lessons and is now able to swim. I now feel comfortable taking him to the pool and not to worry about his safety. We love Brick bodies and specially the pool! Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about my yoga teacher, Sandra Nicht . Her classes are incredibly energetic and uplifting, the hour just flies by. She gives clear, thoughtful direction throughout, making it easy to follow along and really get the most out of every pose, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced.

wish i could give 0 stars. first came in thinking i could have a workout with a free trial i saw online. i was then given a tour and at the end one of the staff members told me i had to sign up for a membership in order to workout that day. I then signed up because i needed a gym for the summer but i signed up with the silly “non pro membership” in which i could only come in after 8pm or before 1pm on weekdays. in addition the staff there was generally always unprofessional or seemed like they didn’t want to help or answer questions especially the middle aged blonde woman at the front desk. i was also told that i could have a guest once each month. however i came in the next day with my quest and my guest was told that he had to pay a 20$ fee for the day despite being told by one of the staff that he could come in for free. What good is this gym if i feel like i can’t workout here. This gym is also constantly packed with people and overpopulated. I always have to wait 10-25 minutes for a machine or a bench. I strongly advise against signing up for a membership here.

When my friends ask me why I like Brick Bodies so much, I really struggle to find one compelling reason. Is it the huge facility? Is it the spotlessly clean environment? Is it the wide range of equipment? Is it the large number of free classes to choose from every single day? Is it the wonderful pools? Is it the amazing Group Fitness Instructors? I'm going out on a limb here and saying it's all of the above! My next reviews will be Group Fitness Instructor-specific, so people looking to join will see how wonderful so many of them are.

I'd like to start off with the best personal trainer I've ever had...Sean Raftery! He leads the Actively Aging small group training class, and he slays! If you are a woman of a certain age who is interested in lifting weights and doing circuit training that is perfectly APPROPRIATE for your age and abilities, this is the class for you. Sean is completely aware of each of his client's physical limitations (think injuries, weak areas, etc.) and tailors the workouts to accommodate them. The classes are lively and fun, and such a great bargain! I've been taking this class for over a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I get a great workout and have made some new friends. It doesn't matter if you've never lifted before -- Sean will help you become more confident and excited about coming to the gym. We even do lots of balance exercises, which is a crucial skill we all need to improve as we age. Sean is a true gem -- he cares about his clients and their wellbeing and offers his class 5 days a week! Run, don't walk, and sign up for his next class!
Moving along to the next incredible group fitness instructor, I have nothing but great things to say about Dolores Aaronson! She does it all! Swim classes, barre classes, who knows what else? In her group swim classes, she works with us "older" folks wonderfully well, encouraging us and challenging us, yet never making us feel bad if there's something we can't do, or aren't great at. She's friendly, approachable, always smiling, and obviously caring about all of us. And clearly she walks the talk, demonstrating that, even as we age, we can still look and feel physically fit. She's always upbeat, but not annoyingly so, as many group fitness instructors can be. She never talks down, and keeps an eye on our form and efforts. Dolores is another great reason that Brick Bodies is the best!
Another wonderful group fitness instructor is Kelly Phillips. She's wonderful for barre, swim, and meditation/breathwork classes. She's very knowledgeable and kind, never judgmental, so easy going and caring. I've loved every class I've taken with her!

I joined this gym in order to work with a trainer. I was paired with Lynn Cox and have been working with her for almost a year and she is all around amazing. I started once a week, moved to twice a week, and am now starting 3 times a week! She has made me feel so comfortable in the gym (I have A LOT of anxiety surrounding gyms) and also is so positive and motivating. She knows her stuff, but never makes you feel like your best is not enough. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer! The gym has a lot of amenities, great parking, and is super convenient if you live in HV, Timonium, cockeysville, etc.

I was initially hesitant about getting a membership here after over 10 years of experience with gyms and fitness centers. I don’t go for big box gyms typically because of cleanliness, customer service, and the cash grab. However when I walked in, I took a tour with Peter and he was genuine, intentional, and understood that I didn’t want to be sold. I didn’t want the car salesman experience. Peter was wonderful! Halfway through the tour, I already knew I was getting a membership here. (Mind you, I don’t like gyms with annuals either.) It was how respectful everyone was. I’m so glad to have joined. The team has been really kind. Kurt and Traceie are helpful and they continue to uphold the values that any members would want from their gym. Fitness is a part of my mental health and how I keep my energy up after a long day. Highly recommended this location, Peter, and the entire team! P.S. I’m always looking forward to my works out because of y’all!

I do a lot of traveling and have worked out in gyms all over the country. On a recent road trip, I had the opportunity to workout (swim, strength train, cycling classes) in gyms in IA, KS, TX, NM and AZ and my experiences in those places gave me a real appreciation for what we have right here at Brick Bodies. The facilities at Brick Bodies are quite clean and well maintained, the selection of equipment is wide and varied, and the instructors (my experiences at Brick Bodies are primarily with the Cycling and Swim instructors) are outstanding. I love the Spivi system used for the Cycling Classes. I have worked out in many a gym, in my lifetime, and Brick Bodies is simply the best I have found. Anywhere. Period!

The gym itself isn't bad, but the gym goers themselves are. The locker room can be horrifying and people can be rude for no reason. The turf is usually busy and it's hard to find a spot, especially when that one guy pulls up a bench, gym bag, and mat right in front of the rack with all the equipment taking up so much space. The staff don't say anything, but they should. The treadmills aren't calibrated correctly and also aren't the best. Don't recommend the personal training as they don't correct their clients' form, and in my experience, they wouldn't listen to my fitness goals and wanted to deviate from them. Also consistently wanted to reschedule my session to suit their own schedule. I'm leaving this gym and don't recommend. The staff is friendly, lots of amenities and equipment but not worth dealing with the people that go there.

Told me I had a free trial then I started getting charged for a full membership which I tried to cancel but was told that I signed a contract with them for a normal membership with a commitment. Anyone who knows me knows I am an advocated for this gym. I tried every surrounding gym except crunch, and PF, and when I first joined 10 months or so ago the wait of the gym was superb. However, in recent visits I can’t help but to notice the decline.
Gym equipment: 7.5/10 they used to mark when a machine is broken or down but when I recently told night staff the leg press machine was broken they laughed and said something like “I think it’s been broken”
Gym staff: 5/10 I think they choose when to be friendly and greet. Mainly night staff will ignore you on entering and leaving hardly offering a towel.
Cleanliness: 10/10 not much has changed especially with staff steadily cleaning
Overall experience: 8.5/10 I personally have had to hunt down points for my perks (I’ve had two people who joined by my referral and I didn’t get my points for one until I reached out more than once), and the experience that one of referrals has been having is unsatisfactory (she has been over charged 25.99->28.99 for months with no explanation until she reached out for clarity on leaving the gym, unfortunately, and her process on that front has been tumultuous to say the least).
My best advice is, read your contract, and enjoy yourself with the machines that work. Don’t get loss in imperfections and overlook the plethora of good qualities.

Guys: READ THE CANCELATION terms before you join. I made an expensive mistake of not reading them and not asking about it and obviously they won't tell you about it when you join. I had to pay 6 months worth of membership fees to cancel. This fee is the most expensive and ridiculous policy I have seen at a gym. The reason I canceled is coz half the time I am waiting for a machine, it's crazy busy, good for them I guess - make money from members and from people who are cancelling huh. Win win for them. As for me, nothing I can really do, except never recommend this gym to any of my friends and family because of these sneaky money grabbing tactics by this gym.
Update after the useless response by the "Owner".
I never said I did not sign up for a 12 month contract. I did, but you have to pay all the rest of the months to cancel? This is not an extremely limited membership (like a spot on the vessel to Mars) where I took a spot and you can't refill that spot again. And as a great gesture you came to a middle ground? 6 month fine? Ha. Cancelation fee should be may be a 2 month fine. You never mention that while joining, it's all easy, nice and simple while joining. Like I said my mistake was to not ask and not read your sneaky fine print. Anyway you got my 6 month money for nothing. Enjoy it.

This location’s pool is nice and clean. Towel service is great. My husband & I took swimming lessons with Hannah and she is amazing! Very attentive to our questions and is great at teaching both adults and kids. They take learners of all levels as well. I’ll continue to take lessons here with Hannah in the fall. I do wish the lanes could be less crowded during our night lesson time.

I have had Thai massage sessions with Louis Roman for the past 6 months, and it's an incredibly relaxing and therapeutic experience. Aside from his professional demeanor, he’s personable and takes the time to ensure you’re at ease before each session begins.
Louis's technique is outstanding; he clearly has a deep understanding of anatomy and knew exactly how to address the tension I was feeling in my hip flexors and lower back (common for me since I have a desk job and sit far too much). After the massages, I feel relaxed and notice a significant improvement in my muscle tightness. I would highly recommend Louis to anyone looking for a great Thai massage.

I joined Brick Bodies almost 2 years ago because I wanted to get back in shape and build muscle. I was drawn to Brick Bodies because it had a pool and I love to swim. I also knew I needed help to build muscle because I did not know how to use any of the equipment in the gym or what workouts I should do. I was paired with Brad during my welcome workout, and he has been my trainer since then. Brad took the time to explain how each piece of equipment works and the science behind it. He is extremely knowledge in exercises and how each one would help me achieve my goals. He has a good sense of balance for when to push me and when to adjust strategies. With Brad, I have achieved three of my goals and cut time off my swimming, which was an unexpected benefit! I would highly recommend him as a personal trainer for all levels, whether you are just starting out or a seasoned gym goer!

I've been a member now for about 12 months and I have been working with Chris Simmons for at least the past six and he has been an awesome coach. I was focused on building strength when I started, which is not always easy for an older person like me, and he always puts together a challenging routine for our weekly sessions. I've never been a gym goer before but decided to join BB after a friend referred me. The gym is huge, but not overwhelming which makes me feel comfortable going despite my inexperience. You'll always find the cardio equipment you need, even at busy times. There are so many different classes throughout the day which my wife goes to a lot.
