I started going to the studio after I had back surgery two years ago. After multiple physical therapy (PT) appointments, I was kind of done with PT. I signed up at this studio and was surprised at how many of the things that they teach were things that I was doing in PT! I have now been going for about two years and absolutely love it! All the teachers are extremely well-versed in Pilates, and although they all have different teaching styles, they are all great in their own way. After years and years of waking up with an aching back or something hurting on my body, I have been pain-free since doing Pilates and can say it’s primarily due to going to this studio. So happy I found them and am thankful every morning I get out of bed without something hurting!!

I had high hopes going into this Pilates class, but unfortunately, my experience was a complete letdown — mostly because of the instructor. Diamond... well, let’s just say she was not the supportive, motivating figure I was expecting.
First off, she was so focused on correcting everyone’s form in a way that felt more like a drill sergeant than a guide. Every time I got something wrong (which, sure, I did), her response was less about helping me get it right and more about making me feel like I was failing. At one point, she told me I was “doing it completely wrong” in front of the entire class — no encouragement, just pure judgment. There’s nothing wrong with corrections, but there’s a difference between helpful feedback and making someone feel like an idiot.
Her teaching style was very rigid — no room for any personal adaptations or suggestions. When I asked if I could modify a move due to a knee issue, she barely acknowledged me, rolling her eyes before muttering something about “just trying harder.” Not exactly the compassion I was looking for in a fitness class.
As for the class itself, she didn’t explain the moves clearly, and there was very little focus on helping anyone at their own pace. It was all about her way, and if you couldn’t keep up, too bad. By the end of the session, I felt frustrated, disheartened, and worse than when I started. Pilates is supposed to be about building strength and confidence, but all I left with was anxiety and sore muscles from trying to keep up with her unreasonable expectations.
Honestly, I think it’s time for Diamond to work on her people skills. Pilates should be inclusive and empowering, not an exercise in public humiliation. I won’t be back.

I have been a member here for years and the work has definitely changed my body. I'm a particular fan of the Transition classes which are a half step between Level 1.5 and 2.0 and are a great way to practice elements of the more challenging moves before advancing. Classes with Devon and Debbie and Angel are stellar. Each teaches in a unique style but they are all very knowledgeable about the reformer and body mechanics. They care about your safety and applaud your increasing strength. Classes are never the same and never boring!

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE
I did the intro class with Eric and I just can't say enough incredible incredible incredible. This is definitely going to be my go-to pilates studio. I can't wait to start my membership here.
The vibes are so pure, so genuine, so gentle, so loving and friendly and fun. I kept telling my friend next to me I feel like I'm at Disney world.

I relocated to Bethesda in June and immediately joined Club Pilates. I’m by no way an expert, and I have been “practicing” Pilates since 2000 — all over the USA and in Italy. I absolutely love this studio. The instructors that I always work with are Angel, Claudia O, Helen and Zach. Each have their own unique style, are extremely professional and dedicated to ensuring each class is not only challenging but fun, too. The facility is very clean and orderly. And finally, a very special shout out to Simone! She’s a fabulous young woman, so accommodating and welcoming! I have also witnessed her on the receiving end of badly behaved clients — she’s handles herself confidently and without losing her cool. A true professional!
Thank you!!

This place refused to cancel my fiances membership after multiple requests to. We were charged for multiple months after the first attempt. They would say it was canceled and then we would still get charged and then when we would contact them they would say they wouldn’t reimburse us the charge per their “policy”. They did not cancel it until 3 months later when corporate sent us an email.

I started Club Pilates a couple of months ago and have been loving it! I had a favorite instructor, Breana, who, unfortunately, left. I’ve tried classes with the other instructors, and they’re all great, but I’ve found my new favorite in Claudia O! She’s so personable, and the classes are always a blast. Definitely worth a try! :)

Class was at 12, I was there, no joke, at 12:01. Not 12:05 or 12:10 but 12:01. Receptionist wouldn’t let me get into the class :) I had to go back home
UPDATE after reading owner’s response: Advice to everyone after reading those reviews and how they trap you with memberships that you hardly can get out of, don’t go there 😂. At no point during the booking process did the representative inform me that I needed to arrive a few minutes early, or that failing to do so would prevent me from entering the class. I reviewed the email sent prior to the class, which states:
"Here are a few tips to make your class experience the best possible:
• Please arrive a few minutes early to find parking and sign into class."
Nowhere does it indicate that arriving early is mandatory. Furthermore, I was in the loby speaking with the receptionist at 12:01 for a class scheduled at 12:00. Rather than labeling me as careless, it would be more constructive to communicate expectations clearly, specifying to clients that arriving early is essential to attend the class. This would avoid any confusion in the future. Seriously what is this customer service?

If you want to get a great work out in, in a beautiful studio with incredible instructors then you need to come visit CP Bethesda. I have never felt better physically. I signed up seconds after the trial because it WAS THAT AMAZING. Don't waste anymore time just go and you can thank me later.

I’ve been taking classes with Angel for the last year and she’s fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable and takes her education of Pilates seriously. She will make sure your form is correct and is a great class leader.

So, I will NEVER be coming back to this location. I went to a class with Helen as the instructor on 6/23/24. It was a 9am Reformer 1. I am not a beginner. At this point, I have taken 49 classes, and I have a passport membership. Helen is VERY unprofessional. She was LOOKING AT HER PHONE the ENTIRE class. I’m not sure if she was texting, watching a Pilates workout online so that she could copy that, or both. But, I have NEVER been to a Pilates class where the instructor uses her phone to teach 😒. Then, she wasn’t even cueing us correctly because she was “distracted” by her phone. She even apologized for being distracted smh. It seemed like she was also getting irritated when certain attendees would have incorrect posture or form. But, if she was ACTUALLY PAYING ATTENTION, she would have been able to see the form of every attendee in the class. The ONLY reason I came to this class was because it was the only studio that had availability for today (6/23/24). However, I will NOT be back and Helen NEEDS MORE TRAINING. Like I stated before, this is the first time in all of the Pilates I’ve taken where I left feeling dissatisfied. It’s unacceptable.

Very rude and impatient front desk person canceled my appointment when I arrived at the studio, saying as a beginner I cannot take this class. But they letted me registered at the beginning. And most importantly, no refund.

Club Pilates in Bethesda is amazing! it’s been a great experience and I recommend it to everyone. The staff is great and always helpful. The classes are challenging in a good way (because isn’t that what you want when you workout?). The instructors are always helpful when you cannot do something or need any help. My favorite instructor is Angel, so if you get a chance to take her class, I highly recommend!

I completely felt so uncomfortable at this location. I did not feel welcomed the first time I had a class there and the instructor, Angel, made me feel as if I didn’t have worth to be there in her class. She kept singling me out because she’s never seen me in her class before, not knowing I’ve been doing Pilates since August 2022 and pointing me out about the most minute, unnecessarily pointers in front of the whole class when she could’ve done it in a low tone or just in private. All you have to do was tell me something once and I got it, she saw that so she did not need to call me out in front of everybody after the class either it was uncalled for, unnecessary and unprofessional. This location is not worth a dime.

I frequented this place for 2 months and I was informed that I would pay monthly and that if I wanted to stop there would be no fine. Who informed me is the manager.
I warned in advance that I would be moving and now they are saying that I have to pay a fine of 1 month. They said I signed a contract and I didn't. I asked for the contract, they sent me a contract signed by a software, as it is not my signature. Yesterday, someone from the collection contacted me: ABSURD, I won't give them my money! I'll go to court if necessary, but they won't earn money without working!
This establishment is unethical. They saved my credit card without my consent. They show contracts that have not been signed by the customer. Unacceptable, shameful. I tried to argue with them several times, and they keep charging me now through collection. I have all emails saved.
Now I noticed that there are other customers going through the same situation that I am going through.
Don't fall into this trap!

Updated: I honestly would have expected better customer service experience from this place.
I reached out via phone in December to inform them that I was unable to attend future classes because I had a recent health diagnosis. They informed me, I needed to provide a 30 day notice by completing this PDF form and sending it back via email which I did. They were completely inconsiderate about by health concerns and proceeded to charge me for December and January then threatened to send me to collections even though I did not attend a single class during these past 2 months.
I suggest you don’t commit to any membership plans with this place because regardless of what happens to you - you’ll still have to pay and provide a 30 day notice and like me still get charged an additional month past the 30 days which is ridiculous & rare in comparison to other fitness facilities that offer various classes with reasonable contracts. Oh … and your credits don’t roll over lol
I should have read the reviews to this place first. They are simply money hungry / greedy and no …. A 30 day notice requirement was not something I remember being emphasized when I committed. You should list this out in a contract and clearly stipulate that regardless of your health, mental or financial state- you will still be charged regardless of attendance.
By the way - I attended this class with two women in the beginning who had similar experiences - but the upcoming reviews will speak for themselves.

WORST customer experience ever! There’s no easy way to GET OUT of this club. I signed up for a monthly membership. When I couldn’t make it to the sessions because I hurt my back, they said my 4 sessions will expire and I can’t transfer them to the following month. They kept charging me the next month after I told them I wouldn’t be able to attend those sessions either—as I was in the physical therapy. To make it worse, they charged me for another month when I cancelled, because of a « one month cancellation notice »! Basically, they ROB you at every opportunity they get.
Update: Just read through the response from the owner. Bullying is their main method when it comes to customer service. No apologies whatsoever for their vaguely written, never explained orally, and exploitative policies. Save yourself some trouble and stay clear of this HORRIBLE place. There are many better options in the neighborhood for the same price or less.

Really happy with my experience at Club Pilates Bethesda so far. I had been a CP member in WPB and Miami and absolutely loved my experience there and all the instructors. When I moved back to Bethesda, I wanted to test it out here and I’m really happy I did.
The club is very clean and the members take care of the equipment nicely. I love that you can pretty much always get into a class or move off the waitlist if you’re within the first 2 spots. I have take classes with Angel, Debbie, and Javier and they are all such great instructors. Angel is just an absolute doll, she is so funny and sweet. Javier will work your core OUT and makes you sweat but you feel amazing after. Debbie is such an expert in pilates and really ensures you are doing the correct form and learning the classic pilates moves. I would say my only negative call out is I wish there were more classes. I would go every day if I could and they don’t typically start until 8 and there are only evening classes a few days a week. Other than that I love CP Bethesda and I’ll definitely be continuing my unlimited membership!!

Truly great instructors. They guide you through the steps with precision and offer such variety that every class is different. The classes are small enough that you get personal attention to make sure you're doing the actions correctly, and if you have some physical limitations they provide alternate ways to do things.

I have been going to this studio for over a year now, 6 days a week at times, the instructors and front desk staff are phenomenal, in my journey to less improving my core and relieving my back and muscular pain from acute pain syndrome, they have been great partners, the instructors are very knowledgeable of anatomy and physiology, they are very professional and kind above all they are very safety conscious. I would love to shout out especially Devon, Angel, Zac and Debbie, these great humans have become part of my daily life and my journey in managing my pain and becoming healthier, I don’t know what I would do without them Devon is my personal angel I love her!!!!!

Saturday mornings are my feel good
morning with Claudia at the Club Pilates in
Bethesda. I take two classes - , Classic Reformer
and Suspend. These two classes are the perfect fit for a complete workout and
have toned my body so much that I've found
curves that haven't been around since my
twenties (I'm now in my late 50s). Another
great thing with Claudia is her cuing. Her
instructions for each movement is so precise
that it is virtually impossible to do any of the
movements improperly. She also makes
sure to check on every single student to
ensure their bodies are in proper alignment
to prevent injuries and that each of the targeted
body parts are moving in sync to maximize the benefit to your core.
Pilates has been my go to exercise the last
few years. It's helped me feel grounded and
healthy. In fact, it’s the only exercise that I don’t dread doing. I actually look forward to going to class.
If your are ever in downtown
Bethesda, give Club Pilates a try. You will
get a full body workout. There are many
different classes that they offer to strengthen both your
core and your lungs. Most people don't
think that they get a good cardio workout
with Pilates but Club Pilate’s Suspend, HIIT
and Cardio Sculpt classes gets your heart
pumping without too much stress on your
joints.

I've been a member of this studio since before it opened a few years ago. I'd been taking Pilates on and off at another studio, and loved how my body felt, but just couldn't get into the vibe of the studio. I liked the idea that CP is a club, where the other members are friendly and warm.
When the studio first opened, they were still experimenting with class times and I was lucky enough to get a few solo classes or classes with just one or 2 others. That was actually very helpful. I haven't done any private lessons, but I think they'd be beneficial for anyone who is new to the practice. Even though I knew my way around a Reformer and had several classes before starting with CP, having the individualized attention was transformative. The important thing was that the instructors keep finding new words, phrases, and ways to demonstrate each motion. Many of the exercises target muscles I didn't know I had, so it's not always easy to identify what should be doing the work or where I should feel something. Encouraging and supportive instructors who aren't afraid to help, make adjustments, and take a minute to explain details after class make all the difference.
All that said, and as a former teacher (in schools, not Pilates), teachers have personalities and unique pedagogical styles. I'd encourage anyone who might be on the fence to try out a few different instructors. Find someone whose teaching style works with your learning style. A benefit of a busy studio is that there are several instructors who offer classes at varied times and levels. Don't be shy - ask another student if they'd be comfortable supporting you during class. There's a bunch of (fun!) equipment, and that can seem daunting, but we're a friendly bunch and happy to help welcome you in or back to the practice. (Pro tip: look for people wearing socks with the Club Pilates logo - we earn them for reaching milestones, so that can give you a clue as to who might have a few more classes' experience.)

If I could give 0 stars I would! Save yourselves the agony and do not go to this place! I joined the Bethesda Maryland location on October 26th. I was met with Eric Halo, the Regional Manager who assisted me with signing up. When I spoke with Eric I was specifically told in person that due to covid 19 the 30 day cancellation policy was no longer effective. While signing me up he had a bit of difficulty with my email address and processing payment and so he mentioned he would be sending a 4 digit code to my cellphone number and that this code would be used to process the payment.
I was contacted by the location to see how everything was going and at this point I asked to change my membership as I would prefer to take the classes one by one as needed. I was met with the pushback which came as a surprise to me. When I requested to speak with the manager I was told a message would be left and it took over a week and a half for anyone to respond back to me. At this point I received an email from Eric where he then tried to deny ever mentioning this and then changed what was said to say now a one month cancellation fee was to be enforced.
Eric sent over a copy that had been electronically signed with my name and he is now trying to say the 4 digit code was the authorization for the monthly charge/membership and not for the payment of $229 that was originally mentioned. I was never given any hard copies to review in person as I would have immediately questioned it as it does not reflect what he said in person. This location threatened to send delinquent bills for a service I never agreed to sign up for. They then tried to send a month of charges to collections as I had to notify my credit card company of this location's unethical practices and stop any further charges from being processed. I find it alarming that the workers will bait and switch customers and then falsify documentation when they are saying something is meant for another. I have contacted the corporate office and spoke to the VP of customer affairs once. He mentioned he would ask the manager of the location to contact me and they will not contact me. The VP of customer affairs will now no longer return any calls/messages I have sent him.
Also- while reviewing the document Mr. Halo sent over they don’t even have my full home address on the document which further proves I was never given any document to review/sign as I would have corrected any issues on a contract if I was indeed signing up for something. I wound up paying a month of services I never signed for to avoid anything hitting my credit rating. At this point it isn't about the money but they shouldn't get any customers with the way they practice! With the way the world is now I understand companies are struggling to stay open but running a FRAUDULENT scheme is not the way to try and make money.

After swimming competitively as a kid, all through college, I had major tendon, bursa, and scapula issues. The helpful staff at CP Bethesda have worked with me to focus on correcting 25-year-old problems and building strength throughout my core. My chiropractor has noted the improvement in my posture and balance, and my dad tells me his doctor is hoping he’ll take up Pilates too. I’m grateful for the CP team’s good humor and inventive exercises, which keep me coming back for more.

Ok. So I don’t leave reviews often unless they’re bad. However, I am leaving a review for this Club Pilates because it’s sooooo freaking awesome. I was looking for a Pilate reformer classes for almost 2 years in the area but was disappointed every time I tried a new place. Well, let me just tell you that this place is frekkin awesome. The classes are great, the instructors are amazing and the staff is the bomb. Lots of good and positive energy coming out of this place and all the individuals taking the classes are the sweetest people. Been going for a little over a month now and I am not only looking good, but feeling like I have a Pilates club I belong to. Highly highly recommend trying it out. You won’t be disappointed!
