I started Pilates less than a month ago and I wasn't sure I did the right thing by signing up for it (mostly due to my lack of flexibility...) but I am already looking forward to every class! People there are friendly and helpful, and the workouts challenging but "smoother" than I expecting (at least so far...) so overall, it makes for a enjoyable and gratifying experience!

I attended a free intro class and fell in love with Pilates! Have been going once a week for almost 3 months. The staff are all so kind when you come in. I’ve been taking classe at Club Pilates in SOMD, and it has been a great experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the instructors do a fantastic job guiding beginners through the movements. They make sure you feel comfortable with the equipment while still getting a solid workout. The pacing is just right, challenging but not overwhelming. Great event! The location was great. The instructor Emma was very knowledgeable and high energy. She went around to everyone there to individually get to know everyone and whatever limitations they may have. She made some great on the fly adjustments as needed through the class. I went to my first in-studio Pilates class last night. It was just a 30-minute into, but we used the reformer and other wall mounted equipment. It was a great into for how the classes are structured and what the equipment is like to actually use. I had seen the stuff before but never had the chance to try it out. They explained the pricing structure and membership info in detail at the end. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Seems like a great place for fitness and community. (St. Mary’s County, MD)

As a clumsy, unathletic girly I’m always a little anxious when I join a new gym.
If you’re in the same boat, don’t sweat it! Everyone at this studio is kind and enthusiastic about fitness. They’re happy to help you settle into your Pilates practice.
If you’re a beginner I suggest a class with Maria. Her instructions are incredibly clear and she almost always throws in an exercise that uses the reformer in a fun, novel way. You’ll get a great workout and you’ll have a blast.
Shannon’s classes will test your endurance and form.
Emma will turn your class into a party, if you want a high energy class she’s your girl.

Okay so first of all… I took the intro class at Club Pilates and I was instantly hooked. The vibes? Immaculate. The price? Honestly, such a steal for unlimited classes—I was like, sign me up right now. 🙌
Kara led the intro class and she was soooo fab. She explained everything in such detail and made it super easy to follow. Like, I didn’t feel lost at all, which NEVER happens when I try something new. She seriously gave me a great idea of what to expect, and it just felt so welcoming and not intimidating at all. ✨
Also, Kim the owner? Literal angel. She made getting started such a breeze and was so warm and helpful. And Cheyenne (hope I’m spelling that right!!), who signed me up—sweetest human ever. So kind and helpful and just made me feel like I totally belonged there.
Anyway, I’m already obsessed and planning to come like, multiple times a week. So if you're even thinking about trying it—just go. It’s such a vibe. 💕💯

I’ve been taking a majority of Maria’s classes recently and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them! She dispenses a constant variety of movements that gratifies anyone who gets sick of routine workouts easily. Regardless of the level or class, she’s become dependable in any of them to get a satisfying workout. As someone who requires a lot of flexibility in booking classes, not having to worry about the quality of workout while finding times that work for my family’s schedule is chef’s kiss.

Every Pilates class I’ve taken has incrementally built a stronger foundation for my wellbeing. While the studio is clean and employees friendly, they do not leave you alone after taking your first class. I did not sign up straight away as the prices were much steeper than anticipated. They do not list them anywhere publicly but they are $239 for unlimited classes, $179 for 8 classes a month, $105 for 4 classes a month with a $149 enrollment fee. Every day since attending the intro class (about a week ago) I have received a daily phone call, voice mail, text, and email asking to sign me up for a membership. When I asked the general manager about other Club Pilates locations she did not even know there was a Waldorf location despite saying she had been on the phone with the regional manager. There are other studios that are not Club Pilates in the area with lower prices and better reviews.

They take the time to make sure my alignment is correct and that I’m using my body in the correct form. Warm and inviting!!! The instructors are mindful to accommodate for anyone medically cleared by a doctor to attend fitness classes with past injuries or special circumstances, such as pregnancy. Classes range in intensity and routine structure to offer a range of options for every fitness level. All of the instructors here I have taken classes with were great; they were knowledgeable and put together fun, yet challenging class routines. Shout out to Maria, Mariel, Kara, Jen, and Andrea. Highly recommend! I was so nervous about trying this since I’ve never actively exercised before, not on purpose. Everyone was so welcoming and not one time have I ever felt out of place. So far I have only attended the intro class. The instructor was very informative and easy to understand. The studio equipment was clean and in excellent condition. For me the studio temperature was a bit chilly. Booking classes is easy but finding classes to attend together with my friends was limited for the first week . Looking forward on getting started twice a week.

Starting taking classes in Dec and it has been such a great experience! The manager and staff are incredibly attentive, and the instructors are not only kind, but provide clear and thoughtful instruction that makes classes both welcoming and still challenging enough for me. I have really enjoyed the variety of classes that club Pilates offers. I haven’t done anything like it before. The office staff are very kind and helpful particularly when trying to find classes that fit my schedule. The only down side so far is class availability, as they fill fast, resulting in being wait listed. Other than than they are great workouts!

I have been going to club pilates consistently since June of 2024 & absolutely love it! Everyone has become like family & the instructors and front desk ladies are so personable, make you feel welcome, and are so knowledgeable & supportive. I started attending classes regularly when I found out I was pregnant (about 5 weeks along). I did a ton of research, consulted with my doctor, who was very supportive & also a Club Pilates member, and decided this would be best for my body and health as I go through my first pregnancy. I set a goal to complete 100 classes before I gave birth, and I just hit that goal at 36 weeks! I recommend Pilates to everyone I know, and I genuinely believe it has helped me have a smooth, pain-free pregnancy. I can’t wait to return to the club once I heal from giving birth. If you are contemplating signing up, this is your sign 🫶🏼

This was my first experience with Pilates and wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a very pleasant experience. The studio is very welcoming and the staff was very friendly. I took the free 20 minute introduction and at first it didn't seem to have done a whole lot as far as working my muscles, but I was mistaken, because after the 2nd day of not doing it, my legs are sore but not an "unbearable " sore, more like a "Oh I didn't realize that muscle existed" sore, but my muscles actually feel great!! I would definitely recommend them and they seem very committed to making sure everyone has a great 1st experience with Pilates. Will be joining very soon. Thanks Club Pilates!!!!

Highly recommend!! I love this Club Pilates located in California, Maryland. Been a member here since 2020. All the instructors are very experienced and each brings a unique work out every time. No one work out is the same. The instructors are very helpful and will give you alternate moves if you have a problem with any certain body parts.
My favorites are flow and center and balance. This is a great way to get yourself in shape and toned without much risk to injury. I usually take a 1.0 or 1.5 class. If the 1.5 is a little tough, you can adjust to your own fitness level and instructors are great at observing if you are struggling and will give you tips on adjusting the moves to meet your level so you can keep up. They will also give you more challenging options as well if you are able. There is never any pressure or embarrassment if you struggle. Unique thing about Club Pilates is it is good for all age ranges.
I’d like to say I have a favorite instructor, but they are all excellent and each brings their own unique style to the table. I frequent Sherry, Kerry and Andrea‘s classes because they have timeslots that fit my schedule.
Sherry’s flow 1.0 class is one if my favorites. She works a little tai chi in at the end of each class and offers great stretching, strength training and helps you work those teeny little muscles you didn’t know you had. I have pain in my lower back, but her class really improved my condition and I don’t have the pain that I used to have when I sit down and stand up. I walk out of there feeling energized and stretched with a slight ache in my muscles —but the good kind that help you know you are toning and gaining strength.
Andrea’s classes are awesome. She is very skilled at ensuring you’re applying the proper technique and excellent at communicating the moves. She keeps the lights on so she can see that you are applying proper form and working the correct muscles. Some people complain about the ceiling lights, but I appreciate them for the reason she is keeping them on. I just close my eyes when I’m laying down on the reformer table. Her instructions are so clear you don’t need to watch her. I really appreciate her style because I feel it’s important to ensure you’re working the muscles as intended in her workouts.
Kerry is another of my favorites. she makes her workouts fun. She’s bubbly and funny. She too is great at communicating the moves and ensuring you are using the right form. Kerry really challenges me and I walk out of her class feeling awesome and too with a slight muscle ache that helps me know my workout was effective. I also feel really stretched and refreshed after her classes.
Bottom line… Every instructor I’ve ever had at Club Pilates has been top-notch. you're always greeted with the smiling happy face when you arrive and you leave feeling great.

Club Pilates is a fun way to exercise. The equipment is great and they have several instructors that teach several different levels of classes. As a beginner, I am really enjoying the classes. Only drawback is the classes are pricey.

Recommend. So far, so good! I enjoyed the intro with Kara and my first class Reformer Flow 1 with Andrea. Both instructors were very helpful in suggesting appropriate adjustments for my hip, knee, and neck medical issues. I am rebuilding core strength & balance after surgeries. Although I expect to be a bit sore, I’m very pleased that the exercises are challenging but also confident in the instructions from the staff. Pilates is just what I needed to get going!

I have recently developed osteoporosis. I love Pilates and wanted a specific Pilates program to help me mitigate my bone mass loss. I decided to try Club Pilates for help and scheduled a private session with Andrea Wilson. She delivered exactly what I wanted. She patiently listened to my health issues, my physical limitations and my travel demands. I now have exercises I can do at home and when I’m on the road. I will definitely see her again to update my exercises on a regular basis.

I've been a member at Club Pilates SOMD since they first opened. I have thoroughly enjoyed every time I have gone. I am progressing at my own pace (illnesses, surgeries, life etc. gets in the way!) and don't feel like I have to keep up with the Jones. I can do some things and not others and may never be able to. That's ok. The coaches give the modifications based on our individual needs. They are knowledgeable, kind and a lot of fun.

Last year after doctor told me I have stage -3 cancer and no longer I am able to do Pilates, I called SOMD club and requested cancellation until farther notice based on my oncology doctor. They lied to me and they were charging my credit card every month as I was going though intensive Chemo and Radiation treatment at Johns Hopkins and fighting for my life. They don’t care about you as a member, only see you a big $$$$. If they did this to me as a cancer patient which I was fighting for my life, think again, how easy they can milk you for every dollar. Please don’t trust them and absolutely stay away from them. You have many choices to be healthy and do exercise.

This was my first time ever going to a Pilates. I really enjoyed my time and went with a friend who introduced me and encouraged me to come along. I think it is a great time for one hour session a little bit steep in price ($25 for ONE session) however I do feel as though they meet your needs when it comes to Being someone New and joining a class of people who have been there before. The environment was very nice and clean, and the equipment was in very good condition. The instructor was incredibly nice and had assisted whenever members had questions. It is a class that you go at your own pace and I really appreciated that. I felt safe and supported.

I attended my first Cardio Sculpt class at Club Pilates in SoMD and really had a great time! The class was physically challenging and very enjoyable! Their club is alway clean and staff is friendly and helpful. They have classes for all levels, small class sizes for more one on one instruction. Prices/ membership is a bit expensive, but worth it!

I kept going back and forth about going and taking the free class. Finally bit the bullet and did the free intro class and liked it. I went ahead and joined for 8 classes a month, figure I would do 2 classes per week. I have now completed 3 full classes. Each class was with a different instructor, and each instructor brings something different to the workout, which I think makes it fun and not boring. I am an older woman, on the very plus size and was not sure I could do it. I thought of every excuse not to go to the class, but talked myself into going. There are some exercises I cannot do yet, but the instructor makes sure to show me something different I can do. I feel that the pilates classes will work for me the more that I go. So as you can see, I am enjoying the classes, and can only get better with each one. The instructors are wonderful and everyone I have met there so far are very encouraging. I do recommend Pilates for anyone that wants to give it a try!

I really enjoy going to Club Pilates of SOMD.Each class and each trainer offers something different from the other. The classes are challenging, but not so intense that it makes you feel like you can't maintain going for the long-term. I've seen people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and fitness levels in the classes I've attended. The atmosphere is welcoming, encouraging, instructive, and motivating. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind, encouraging, and enthusiastic. They enjoy what they do and it shows!
I walked in unsure of what to expect and a little apprehensive about committing myself to "one more thing." But it's turned out to be one of the things that I look forward to the most each day I go!
It's been a very positive experience; both a challenging but very enjoyable way to incorporate movement, exercise, and strength building back into my daily routine.

After over 150 classes, I’m finally leaving a review. Honestly, there’s no place I’d rather be than at ClubPilates SOMD - the instructors, the staff, and all the people who I enjoy workouts with have made an incredible community. The instructors and challenging, but supportive. I’m in the best shape of my life - my muscles become more and more defined with each passing month. Joining SOMD club Pilates has been the greatest thing. All instructors are FANTASTIC. So accommodating and helpful when you have questions. The app is super easy to use and book out workouts months in advance. They always have a fun event or spirit week going on. Love this studio! I have been a member since the studio opened in Fall 2020 and have taken over 750 classes. I look forward to these classes so much! All of the instructors and staff that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting over those years have been phenomenal. Each instructor can create their own workouts so the classes are always unique and never boring. The waitlists can get pretty long, but even with waitlists you have a really good chance of getting into the class you want as people will cancel. I took classes throughout my pregnancy last year and 100% believe doing Pilates helped so much! I was able to freeze my membership for a few months too while recovering. If you have any health concerns or injuries the instructors are very knowledgeable and can work with you to do modifications.

Decent classes but PREDATORY membership practices. Avoid if you can't afford to sign up for the unlimited package, the set number of classes per month will bite you in the butt, especially if you're schedule doesn't allow for some flexibility. They lied to me about which classes I could attend while pregnant and then wouldn't make ANY membership exceptions when I told them the classes I was 'allowed' to attend didn't fit my schedule so they weren't an option. The specific store people were nice enough but corporate Club Pilates doesn't care about their members and will milk you for every dollar no matter what the circumstances. I absolutely DO NOT recommend.
