My husband and I had a great intro class today with Jessica. We really had a fun time and loved the reformer machine set up. It makes it more effective and safer to really work your body. We are already signed up for our next class and are definitely going to be getting a membership. We felt the prices were very reasonable for the location. In our opinion, what makes this whole experience worth is that it's a workout you actually look forward to! You can go at your own place using proper form. You feel how it stretches and trains your whole body during and even after. As we have been experiencing general aches and lack of flexibility, we want to correct that and I think Club Pilates will help us get there!

The into class was very good and the instructor Dee was thorough and made sure the movements on the reformer were done correctly and with ease. I was sore the next day but I like that kind of sore, lets me know my muscles are working in a good way. I will definitely be signing up. Thank you!

Amazing teacher. So precise and detail oriented. I felt very comfortable and confident with her class. I left feeling like a new person. Lisa knows what’s she’s doing and really considers all her students needs while teaching. I am a student currently training to be a Pilates instructor and she inspires me to be like her.

Club Pilates Riverdale Park is truly top-tier! The instructors are phenomenal and bring something unique to every class. Teresa and Michaella always deliver challenging, effective routines that push you in the best way possible — you leave feeling stronger every time. Alisa and Voni are incredibly knowledgeable and take the time to ensure your form is right, making each movement count. And if you’re looking for motivation, Jennifer and Jessica bring the high energy and encouragement that make the classes fly by. The atmosphere is welcoming, the studio is clean and well-maintained, and the variety in classes keeps things exciting.
Ten out of Ten!!! Highly recommend to anyone looking to level up their fitness with a supportive and inspiring team!

I am really enjoying my classes at Club Pilates Riverdale Park. I've been twice to Michaella's classes and her classes are run at a good pace that makes the time fly by. Her Playlists are great and keep me motivated as well.
Alisa is very knowledgeable. I always feel more mobile after her classes. She has modifications if you need them. She's attentive and provides guidance. She's one of the best instructors I've ever encountered.

While the thought of taking early morning Pilates classes may make some groan (or yawn) and turn over to get a few more minutes of sleep - Stephany’s early morning classes are worth getting out of bed for. Her energy, her intuition to switch up based on what she’s getting from the class, as well as her ability to easily pivot to something else if she thinks another exercise may be more beneficial are only a handful of the reasons why it makes getting out of bed and getting to class worth it!

I went for a free trial class and had ther pleasure of being instructor by the "dynamic duo" ( they're sisters 😍) of Jessica and Jennifer!
They are energetic, encouraging and professional and my experience with them was awesome! They show consideration for any health challenges a person has and kindly make moderation suggestions and assist with have the proper posture, which is important if you're trying not cause more damage to a already busted body ( speaking of myself 😆).
Jessica, specifically, is an outstanding instructor!!!

Jessica: She's so fun, amazing, and energetic it makes me politely want to smack her if you know what I mean. She's an actual representation of the emotion “motivation” she always seems to know the right time to say “we are reaching for your goals or the highest point you want in life” just when you want to give up on that sumo squat on your toes. I've had two classes with her and she's honestly my favorite.

I have been a member of Club Pilates RP since it opened back in January. I can honestly say I have finally found the "workout" for me. The instructors are truly the best of their kind. Instructor Chauna is not only sweet and kind, but so helpful. I appreciate that she always helps me if I'm confused or fixes a move that may not be correct. Her positive attitude makes the class so fun. She truly enjoys what she does. Instructors Jen and Jess are also my faves. They are so fun. They always change up some of the exercises which I appreciate. We have mini dance parties and get to do the worm at the end of classes. Their love for Pilates definitely shows. They're classes are always the most fun and dynamic. All three also have killer playlists.. :)

Although I can't go as often as I'd like, I've really been enjoying pilates with Club Pilates. I'd never used the reformer before and I LOVE it! It gives me a really great workout that makes me feel strong without leaving me feeling completely dead and exhausted when I leave (which is usually what I hate about working out). But I'm still sore the next day, which means I know I was doing something right! I particularly enjoy Denita's classes--she's one of the most innovative instructors. No class is the same, and we end up using all types of equipment (and in ways I never could have imagined)! Definitely check out Club Pilates; it doesn't take long before you start feeling stronger and more aware of your body.

I have had an unlimited membership since their opening and have appreciated the updates and communications from management. The staff are friendly and understanding. There is a variety of classes and instructors for all your fitness needs. I appreciate how diverse this community is in terms of age, size, etc. I get different experiences based on each instructor and you may develop preferences but all of them are kind and I have felt that they all genuinely care.
There are plenty of parking options nearby and I have not had an issue to find something with getting to class at least 5-min early. If there isn’t street parking, there is a small lot behind the studio and a larger parking garage a block away.
I think the staff have been very clear about attendees arriving 5-min early and not allowing people after 5-min of class starting because it is very disruptive. I definitely have a better experience when I arrive early to fill up on the delicious filtered water and get in the right mindset for class.

I love this Club Pilates location conveniently located in Riverdale Station! It is clean and well equipped, and the instructors are supportive and inclusive! I am a plus size person, and I have a tough time squeezing into some positions or using some equipment. The instructors are willing to provide support and modifications for me which I really appreciate! Pilates is low impact with a focus on core and strength instead of cardio (unless you take the cardio class!) which is helpful for someone stepping back into an exercise routine.
I enjoy the early morning classes with Denita, Alisa, and Stephany. I've also attended a number of the level 1 classes at other times of the day, including Restore which is a great stretch and roll out class.
The more classes you take and the higher your status at the studio, the easier it becomes to book! If you were having trouble booking in January, come back now to try again with not so full classes. :)

I know some people are upset about the limited classes but usually if you come to a class last minute there’s usually an open slot. You get penalized for canceling last minute/ no show which is totally fair considering how in demand they are.

A waste of time and money...
I can only get in to the 5am or 6am classes on Mondays... So, those are the classes I go to. Instructors have been late. Classes do not start on time, which cuts into class time because they still end on time. I've had an instructor complain (more than once) about teaching the morning class DURING CLASS. Instructors are still half asleep and instruct very poorly.
It shouldn't matter the day or time of the class; I should be getting a professionally instructed class with a prompt start time every time.
I am canceling my membership and would not recommend this location.

I like the Riverdale Maryland Club Pilates and instructors. I appreciate the financial, technical and moral support from management to get me started in a positive way. My experience isn't a 5 star one because the problem of notifications by email vs phone or text hasn't been solved. Email notifications of WAIT-LIST status is not acceptable. Failure or success of admittance into a class should be by automated phone messaging or at least by text. Doctors offices and others have been confirming appointments by automated phone calls for years. It is not new technology. Why can't CP use something similar? And why isn't this TOP priority for a new CP with waitlists AND empty class seats?

They have totally over subscribed memberships and canNOT fulfill what they promised.
Pros: clean facilities and some great instructors (if you can get in a a class), Jessica is wonderful!
Cons: the space to take off shoes and coats is VERY tight - there isn't room for folks in the class to get ready - you have to take turns. They need to move the merchandise to create more room
MAJOR CONS: getting into classes is a total crap shoot, especially if you work. I bought an 8 class a month package in order to take 2 classes a week. This has not been possible. You can only book classes once the month has begun and by then the 1st 3 weeks are already booked. This month I was only able to book 1 class on the app. Desk staff got me into a 2nd that had been added and the rest were all wait listed.
I asked to reduce my membership to 4x per month and I was told I'd have to sign up for 3 more months if I wanted to reduce my subscription and then they recommended that I go for a more expensive unlimited membership so that I could book earlier, but a friend with an unlimited membership hasn't even been able to even get 8 per month.
The manager is not responsive. Staff takes notes about complaints and says that management will get back to you, but then they don't for ages, if at all.

DO NOT JOIN THIS STUDIO. It is very clear that this studio did not cap membership passes as they are overbooked and have waitlists for every course for weeks out. I am paying a monthly membership--after I asked them to cancel it after their opening date was pushed back so many times mind you, but they charged me ANYWAY--and I cannot get into a single class. This studio has engaged in false advertising and fraudulent practices to secure memberships from the community. If you cannot accommodate the members you've coerced into joining your studio, you cannot continue to sell membership passes. They are engaging in practices that are just begging for a class action lawsuit.

I’m so glad this studio is finally open. I’ve been hoping to start Pilates since 2020, after recovering from a spinal cord injury. My physical therapist recommended it as the best exercise regimen to maintain strength, stability, and flexibility given the seriousness of my injury and lifelong effects. However, that was 2020 and we all remember what was going on then. All of the studios near me closed or only offered private classes, which were much too expensive.
Cut to summer 2024. I was still interested in taking up Pilates and while I loved my gym at the time (OrangeTheory), I was just too injury prone for the HIIT routine. I needed a slower and more controlled workout. So I’m doing a little web searching to see what is available and, lo and behold, they were opening a studio nearby! The founders membership was a steal, so the decision was easy.
I’ll address the elephant in the room: yes, the studio opening was very delayed. At times, I felt impatient and frustrated. I was so ready to get started! But during the wait, they didn’t take a dime from me. That also means they weren’t making money on their business. I can only imagine how difficult that kind of financial burden was for the owners. To not be generating income for at least 6 months on your business and have to keep your members engaged and willing to stick it out? And all when inflation is doing a number on our pocketbooks. Sheesh. Communication could have been more frequent during the wait in my view, but in putting myself in their shoes, I felt like patience and grace were what needed to be extended. I was not the one hurting during that period.
I will say, I have not found it difficult to schedule classes. I’ve taken 10 so far and only do weekday evenings and weekends. I have been on the waitlist for some and not gotten in, but was not surprised given how late I signed up. I do have the benefit of an unlimited membership as well as the practice of staying ahead of online scheduling from my OTF days. These types of fitness classes require some planning a couple of weeks in advance, especially for a new studio.
I’ve really enjoyed the classes so far. The level one is an easy pace, perfect for people new to Pilates and the reformer. The instructors are growing, finding their groove, and putting their personal touches on their classes. I’m excited to try level 1.5 because I feel ready for the pace to pick up. Folks are kind and inviting. If I could be there everyday, I would!
I would suggest to make the introduction courses the full class length. Not to extend the time doing physical activity, but to do more of an introduction to terminology, the reformer, spring board, mechanics, philosophy, etc. I did feel a little lost at first, but I easily picked up on things after a class or two.
Keep up the great work! Always looking forward to my next class!

Very Disappointed!I was one of the first 50 to sign up and get a membership.I been trying to incorporate Pilates in to my everyday wellness routine and was excited when I found out they were opening one near my home. However delay, delay, delay month after month. I waited and was patient finally there open 6 months later. I was only able to sign up for one class the first week after that GOOD LUCK. There were no classes available to book anything, everything was booked up until the following month. Mind you the membership is not cheap. I decided to cancel my membership since it was impossible to schedule a class. I still had 7 classes left.
I cancel my membership and explained why I was canceling to management via email.I was very sadden and disappointed that I had to cancel. However I got a response saying oh by the way you have to pay a$100 cancellation fee??? I was taken back like what. I just explain to you that I can’t book any class because you guys don’t have the availability never and I have to pay a cancellation fee after I waited 6 months for u to open that’s ridiculous.

RUN!
I’m writing on behalf of my daughter.. she found this place that was scheduled to be open December 2024 and opening was delayed by 2mo+. Excited - she called around November 2024 about membership and was told the typical monthly etc.. etc.. she agreed with this VERBAL contract, paid, and then receipt and copy of contract was emailed.
Monthly membership was almost $200 for a total of 8 classes.. and like all Pilates studios this one was booked 2 months out and the waitlist is LONG! Especially the after 5pm classes.
Was only able to book one class for the month of February and was told that you have to use the 8 classes within that month.. this was not disclosed by he rep she spoke with over the phone..
She decided to cancel because of scheduling constraints and then was told that there’s a $100 cancellation fee.. so that one class cost us almost $300! They could at least have waived the cancellation fee but NOPE!!
Run from this place! Run away fast!

For ppl thinking of getting the unlimited pack: You basically pay close to $200 to not get into a single class. Given the lack of thought into the design of the space, the classes fill up instantly because the one room available is so small. This month I paid $200 to take one class (insane!).
There are technical issues on the app’s waitlist feature, where you can get bumped out of a class even if you made it “in.” I even had an employee call me to confirm my attendance in a class because I was booked and then I somehow got unbooked in the course of the same conversation.
Save your money! And I didn’t even write about the disorganization with the delayed opening because that’s a whole other thing.

I wish the layout was more thought out, it gets overly congested when classes are flowing in and out, there’s a huge room off to the side that I’m hoping will eventually be incorporated into the waiting area so that there can be more room for people waiting. To get to the restroom you have to go through the Pilates room, which could be inconvenient/awkward instead of it being off of the lobby.

I had my first class at this location today. I had been a member at the Woodmore location, while waiting for this one to be completed. I had 74 classes under my belt already, but this was still a good class. I hadn’t taken a class for almost a month due to the timing of canceling my Woodmore membership and switching over to his one. I was exclusively taking 1.5 classes after my 10th class and was worried the level 1 wouldn’t be challenging enough, but it was just the right intro back into it! I Jessica was my teacher today and she definitely has some great energy! I had attended a barre class down the street before showing up for Pilates, so I really needed the energy she brought to the table 😂
I’m so glad it’s finally open! The studio feels bigger and the reformers are more spread out than they are in Woodmore, which is nice. Anyway, can’t wait to go back next week.

The studio is beautiful but it had a 3+ month delay to open. Staff seem to employ rules at random without much flexibility. The waiting area gets overly congested making it difficult for new class members and leaving class members to put away their stuff smoothly.
