The fields are new. Parking is not good for big tournaments. There is no warmup area.
*Updated It truly is a shame ,this field really has some potential. This whole complex has potential.I gave it time since my first tournaments here a couple years ago, but they still haven't gotten regular restrooms. The parking is always atrocious. Because of the tournaments that they host are really not made for the amount of people / teams that they let in... until people stop start boycotting the tournaments that they host here that they overbook this really won't get fixed. To be clear, I have been here various times with various different sporting activities. And it is the same for all ..too crowded, not enough parking, a really low class experience i am giving one extra star only because the fields themselves are absolutely great.

When you’re expecting 1000’s for a tournament you use simple math. 1 portajohn for every 40 attendees. Not only 20 for 1000’s. Some of the most discussing accommodations I’ve ever seen. Stuff flowing over the top. The walkway down the middle elderly and wheel chair couldn’t walk because all the rubber pebbles on walkway. Need to plan much better in future.

Turfs are nice, but lots of erosion around the fields apparently neglected and only getting worse over time. Can be tricky for those not steady on their feet or pulling a cart. Not handicap friendly 😔

I really hate this place, we moved here almost a year ago and the noise pollution this place produces along with the giant ridiculously bright lights is mind boggling. How could anyone in local government allow this to happen? Property values are getting ruined, every weekend as early as 7am i have to hear screams and whistles non stop until as late as 930 pm. This isn't just a recreational school sports area, there are probably a thousand people at a given time screaming and yelling all day and there is no attempt at any sort of sound mitigation or respect for quiet hours. Harford county has all sorts of permits and restriction for building in regards to homeowners but this travesty checked out and passed? The second we break even on our mortgage we are leaving, which is a shame because this is an otherwise nice peaceful neighborhood

Terrific facility - part of CopperMine - 8 full-size fields for lacrosse - artificial turf on all - beautiful layout. Bring a chair or blanket - no bleachers.

Parking can be a challenge for tournaments. Zero trees/cover from the sun, bathrooms/concessions building is still not done, and the building is a curious mix of tent and permanent structure. The parking area closest to the field needs to be posted better for one-way traffic.

Years since opening and they still should not be open. Extremely inadequate parking. Facility is has been constantly "under construction" for years now with numerous hazards you have to watch and avoid. Literally, 3ft deep holes in the sidewalk, some sections missing entirely and have large drops. It's a wonder they're not under lawsuits for injuries. They've claimed bathrooms and facilities are coming for years now as well, but its still all port a potties and food trucks. It might be ready by 2030 would be my guess at this pojnt.

Fields are nice but that's about it. A third of the parking is taken by vendors and port-o-potties. Accessibility is practically non-existent as is any shade. Worst of all, there is NO running water at this place. One of the worst tournament facilities I've ever been to.

A great experience.
Referees did a good job. Grounds crew kept everything clean.
Good food trucks.
Parking can be tight, leave yourself extra time, you MAY end up 1/2 mile away

Awful venue, inadequate parking and no regard for accessibility. While the fields are ok, the surrounding facilities are poor. Central path between all fields is narrow and covered in loose gravel. The small strips of land between the fields are uneven and only partially grass covered. Good luck to anyone with mobility issues trying to attend an event. Parking is awful as well. They host events that attract far more vehicles that can be accommodated. No enforcement of parking rules exist. Cars are parked in the grass, on sidewalks and covering accessible ramps. Port o pots are located in the parking lots... Both reducing the number of spaces and putting people waiting in the path of traffic. This place should be shut down until they work out these dangerous issues.

Parking is terrible, sidewalks are so narrow two people have a hard time passing one another - stairs are even worse, there isn’t any room for teams to warm up/no place for teams to congregate. Poorly planned site, but is surely making a killing bc of so many turf fields in one place.

Fields are top of the line. If you do not get there early in the morning during events, parking is horrendous, you may have to park down the road. They kept the portable toilets clean. There not really any shaded area so best to bring your own.

There are 8 nice turf fields at this complex. Parking is quite limited. There are currently about 10 port-a-potties at the parking lot near the entrance to the fields . The permanent bathrooms are still under construction and will most likely not be available until late 2025. I guess they're coming, slowly but surely. This complex is located within minutes off I-95, near a Royal Farms. There's a delicious creamery nearby. It is surrounded by homes and apartments, so let's be considerate of those neighbors living within proximity. It doesn't seem they are thrilled about this complex being so close to their neighborhoods.

I attended a large soccer tournament there today. It's out in the
middle of nowhere. By early afternoon the portable toilets were disgusting and had ran out of toilet paper. There weren't enough of them (about 20) for the vast number of people (probably a few thousand) at the site. The parking was inadequate by far. Some cars were parked half a mile away. The back fields are far from the portable toilets and parking. The main house is still under construction. The fields were artificial turf which was fine and it was good to have food trucks and area for tailgate tents. Paths to the fields became covered with small gravel and were too narrow during peak times. The ramp looked non-ADA compliant. I didn't see a map or signage (wayfinding) for where the fields are. The MoCo soccerplex is much better.

Great turf fields for soccer. Parking is a little tough but not the worst I've seen. So why just 3 stars? First, most of the fields have no area for incoming teams to warmup. Imagine if you told someone "build me 8 rectangles for kids to play soccer" and the person did exactly that. Just 8 fields stacked side by side with very little room between. In addition to no space to warmup, there's very little room for parents to watch their kids.
Second: no real bathrooms. Just portable toilets. Which, to their credit, start out in great condition. Not so much by the end of the day. Looks like they're building a structure that'll hopefully include bathrooms and concessions.
Overall, it's got potential to be a great facility. The turf itself is in great condition.

The complex is obnoxiously placed in between three different neighborhoods it appears. Thankfully they have put a fence up so no one is urinating or defecating directly on my fence and onto my property anymore. But the quality of people that frequent this place is outright astounding. I am in my 30's I don't care if I hear profanity, but my 2 separate neighbors who both have either a newborn or toddler I'm sure don't appreciate it. There have been multiple times where I assume it to be games are still going on and it being passed the hour for noise regulations in Harford County. Not to mention the light pollution. Whenever they have those obnoxious lights it could be pitch dark and you could see every ant in the grass in your backyard. This facility has most definitely lowered the property values in the area and it's not even affiliated with the county. So no kids from Harford County are playing here like at the baseball fields in Havre de Grace being all Harford County and partially Cecil County baseball teams. This was just a cash grab for rich people to come and play somewhere else because they didn't want this abomination in their own backyard. It's really sad to say that when the Army apartments were vacant and prior to them being gutted and used by the county for the things they did that the homeless people who stayed in those buildings had better manners and treated the local neighborhoods better than the people who frequent this location do. I've called Coppermine before to speak with a manager about images I had of a grown woman directing her child to urinate on my fence and he was super apologetic then and thats when I was told the fence was being built. Too bad the fence can be scaled and judging by how the people who frequent this place have treated our neighborhoods prior I don't have much faith in them staying away from the fences at all. Coppermine are a horrible company who don't care about who lives they possibly could impact. They're just another business looking for money and lining their pockets meanwhile the people in the area have to deal with the traffic increase and the increase of particularly uncouth individuals baffles me. Thankfully I will be leaving Harford County altogether soon enough.

This place is a disaster!! No parking, Port potties are DISGUSTING (no toilet paper, no sanitizer, and no where near fields, dusty, no tent area to set up, no grass, No shaded areas, lack of staff, no medical tent, This is a horrible experience and no one should be charged money to play here. Sad that Coppermine owner wants to only set up areas for turf fields but gets greedy and does not care what facilities look like.

This location is incredibly poorly designed. Narrow walkways that should accommodate large numbers of people, areas where grass was planted but (unsurprisingly) did not flourish have been turned into mulch beds,no indoor bathrooms, parking spills into the nearby school and neighborhoods. No space for pop up tents to shade players or spectators from roasting upon the blistering summertime turf. Perhaps the biggest travesty is the lack of open space for teams to warm up or congregate. Awful. We dread coming here.

This huge complex brings in wealthy families from other areas to play in Edgewood behind houses. The residents have noise pollution to deal
with from early morning until late at night. The players and families stand right by their properties and talk. People who work night shifts are kept awake by all the noise of whistles and horns and crowds. Money makes might.

I am beyond furious with the new sports complex built by Copperplex. This is a disaster for our neighborhood! Our once quiet community is now overrun with cars and people. Every day, I have to deal with loud noise from screaming kids and parents. Even worse, some people are using our backyards as toilets! It’s disgusting and unacceptable.
The lack of planning on Copperplex's part is astounding. They didn't consider the impact on residents at all. Now my backyard is flooding because of their poorly designed drainage system. Weekends are a nightmare, with cars parked everywhere and traffic jams making it impossible to leave my driveway.
We’ve had enough. Fifteen of my neighbors and I are setting up a lawsuit against Copperplex. This complex has destroyed the peace and livability of our neighborhood, and we won’t stand for it any longer. Copperplex needs to be held accountable for this mess!

Who the heck designed this park? Is construction even finished? It’s laid out so poorly, inaccessible, and just an overall cluster.
The walkways are narrow, incomplete, and don’t connect. The fields are crammed so close together, there barely enough space to walk with chairs/tents/wagons. The common area between the fields is built on a slope, so it’s hard to walk on.
There’s dirt and dust everywhere. Even silt fence still up in areas where patrons should be able to walk.
The playing surfaces are covered with loose straw, trash, and other debris.
By far, the worst location I’ve ever been to for one of our tournaments. What an embarrassment for the town.

Update 2: when leaving, I finally saw the “handicap” port a potty There is not enough sidewalk for this to be wheelchair accessible and requires you to go off the steep curb to access. No changes were made to accessibility while I was present.
Update: after posting, Copperplex staff came over and offered accommodations.
************
If I could give a zero, I would. I am extremely disgusted with the fact that there is no handicap accessibility at the Coppermine Copperplex. I am currently wheelchair bound and this facility is no where near complaint with any useable accessibility measures. How this facility passed any building codes/zoning is beyond me. As you’ll see from the pictures, all methods of egress are blocked. Not only is the handicap ramp inaccessible but tents have been erected by the facility that block the sidewalk.
I was unable to use my wheelchair to access the fields. I was able to use crutches and have my daughter carry my wheelchair. My condition is temporary, someone with a different disability would be completely unable to access the facility.
Once inside the facility, the sidewalks are partially blocked by tents. This creates congestion and is difficult for wheelchair maneuverability.
There is no handicap port-a-potty.
If there were an emergency requiring rapid evacuation, I would be in danger.
The first photo shows the blocked handicap curb. The second photo shows tents blocking the sidewalk to the handicap ramp.

Copperplex is, hands down, the worst venue my kids have to play lax at. The fields themselves are well built and of high quality but that is the only nice thing about the Copperplex.
A non-exclusive list of things that make Copperplex insufferable:
- A HORRIBLE lack parking! The dedicated lot itself is tiny leaving parents to hunt for parking in adjacent fields, schools, and roads, which are already full during NGLL and tournament play.
- no warm up areas for teams
- no shade designed into the facilities and landscaping…compounding this is Copperplex’s “no pop up tent” policy which is awfully during daylong tourneys
- fields are crammed up against each other making horrible traffic jams between field and walkways in between games
- no space for pop up tents or teams to sit together during day long tournaments
- no dedicated bathrooms
- the residential neighbors, rightly so, HATE this facility due to a complete lack of care or consideration from the designers to engineer privacy into the park. It’s dropped in right behind people’s backyards. I would be furious if I lived here.

It’s incredibly sad. We have lived in peace for years here and have enjoyed our privacy until now.
