This yoga studio made me appreciate yoga again, in particular the CorePower Yoga 1 and Community Flow class led by Sarah: Sarah is a fantastic instructor and has a formula for her class that works, focusing on the foundational, the core, balance and just enough challenge to feel a strong sense of accomplishment leaving class. The studio is clean, well-lit (I especially love that there are some windows), and well-located (with validated parking).
The only feedback I would have for the studio is to offer more non-heated, or warm Corepower Yoga 1 offerings and potentially having Yoga 1/2 available on ClassPass. While hot yoga is great, itβs not as approachable, especially for pregnant or trying to conceive women, older community members, and those new to the practice/getting back into shape.

Tried my free week and I will say, I enjoyed my class but my belongings were stolen from me during my first ever class and this studio was not very helpful. My white Birkenstocks were stolen right out of my cubby as well as my Lululemon Yoga Mat. $150 down the drain. They charge $4 for a mat rental and with a stolen mat, this experience hasnβt benefitted me. When I came into the studio to ask if my mat was in lost and found the reception desk said βit might still be in the lost and found in the womenβs locker roomβ Of course, a nice mat like that wouldnβt stand a chance in a community lost and foundβ¦ why would their staff place my mat there instead of behind the counter or so. I talked to corporate and they said they werenβt able to help me with replacing the items and asked me to file a police report. Overall, really upset about my experience here.

I agree with the person who said that the place is a workout chain instead of a yoga studio. During my first class I started to blackout from the heat and walked out of the room, the female instructor chased me and told me to "suck it up". In another opportunity a male instructor would tell us not to drink water during the hot yoga session. Awful!

The front lobby needs work. It is dark and the clothing racks are not placed to make you feel welcoming. The people in the front should spend more time fixing the front lobby clothing racks than talking about who is going to teach the next class. Other students in the studio can here them talking. There were 6 people in the front desk and no one was taking the time to make the front more welcoming. I rock a ton of studios and CorePower in the metro area and this is the most non-welcoming CorePower. The insane thing is that it is in the most expensive location, so I expected more. Also, the location is not easy to find. Please place a sign outside. Even an instructor and another student said the same thing to me and my friend. They said we got lost too. Listen to your audience. My friend and I rocked Tenlytown and she said wow, it is night and day. You are right, this place is amazing compared to Bethesda. My name is well known in the fitness world (NYC, DC, MD, CT, VA) so put it out there.
The class was super dope!!!

This location provides top tier workouts, theyβre always creative and high quality. The downside is they tend to cater to their very fit customers so not all instructors provide modifiers in a class. As a plus sized person this can be a turn off. As a queer/lgbt person this studio also feels very strong in the straight and white subculture but everyone is very kind and welcoming.
Iβve worked out at this location at least dozen times, everyone is always pleasant. They offer good time slots for sculpt and have convenient free parking (studio provides vouchers). If you park in the underground lot make sure to take the elevator up to the 2nd floor or you might get lost walking around the building.

I was excited to try out CorePower after seeing a lot of good reviews and hype on TikTok. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience.
My first time here I was surprised by the lack of friendliness. I was not greeted or shown around the space. I did the Hot class which I overall enjoyed but had a negative experience with the instructor afterwards. She was going around after class and told the person next to me they did a great job, she then came to me and said "And you, you did...fine". It was very un-yoga like and made me feel uncomfortable.
I was also disappointed in the lack of modifications. There were no modifications offered in the class. In fact, the instructor made a comment about how you don't alter the pose to fit your body, you alter your body to fit the pose.
I have done a lot of yoga and am fairly knowledgeable on yoga practice. This studio and instructor do not follow the true meaning of yoga. This studio is a workout chain, not a yoga studio.

The parking is awful!!!!!! They share a garage with Petsmart, jeep, enterprise, and now the st. James gym. There are never any spaces. Go somewhere else.

I came here for a class for the first time ever in Bethesda and got lost on my way from the parking garage. I ended up being 2-3 minutes late.
The door was locked, and a woman came up while I was knocking on the door and just stared at me with a blank look on her face. I tried asking her to let me in and she shook her head and said β no, you were late.β I tried to explain that I live far away and got lost and she responded by cutting me off with a mean and horrible attitude.
No apologies. no compassion. There are way better places than corepower Bethesda to practice your yoga and they are probably much cheaper. 0 stars.

I signed up for the three free classes special for new students. I previously took one free class at the Adams Morgan location. For that lesson I arrived 15 minutes early, as instructed by the website. No one was there to open the door until right before the class started which was very irritating. For my second free class I chose the Bethesda location. I arrived precisely on time . Yet no one was there to open the door. It hadn't even been one minute after the class start time, I knocked on the front doors repetitively but still no once came. I waited for 30 minutes to see if anyone would come out to check the door because I could hear the instructors voice from inside (and I assume that she could hear me knocking) and I wanted to at least get my parking ticket validated. No one came out.I had parked in the parking garage below the petsmart as instructed. The timestamp on my parking ticket also proves that I arrived before the class time started.
This is honestly one of the worst yoga studio chains. I can see why they were having a three free class special. I completely understand the policy not to open the doors after a class has started, but instructors should be more attentive about opening the door. Especially when they have the list and total number of students available to them in the check-in system.
Thanks for the free class special! A waste of gas and parking money π

It is great to be back in studio! The staff has been extremely accommodating and making sure safety standards are kept during class. It makes me feel reassured and comfortable practicing in person during these very crazy times. Highly recommend!

The instructors are great, And it feels like they actually care for each individual student. Yoga is helping me sync my mind and body to push it to limits that I didnβt know existed. I do have my favorite studios, and CorePower is one of them.

From start to finish one of the most fulfilling workouts I've experienced. The session felt like there was no rush and the instructor was attentive to those in need. If you don't like to sweat try something else. Rachel Rocks!!!

I had a free week to try out the space, the instructors were super friendly. Everything was clean and hygienic.
I took advantage of the week and took 4 classes and can I say Iβm officially hooked. I feel alive with so much energy. Iβm for sure going to buy a package and become the fit girl I dream to be.
One suggestion will is for them to provide disinfecting wipes to clean yoga mat at the end of the class.

This place is great, they have all levels of classes and offer them throughout the day. Sun B.'s classes really stand out, she is great at creating sequences that cater to all levels. She takes the time to both demonstrate and explain the poses so that everyone can work on protecting their poses and ensure they are doing it correctly. Her passion clearly shows as the play list and sequence flows nicely leading up to the more challenging poses at the end. She is mindful of potential injuries and that all bodies are different and encourages students to listen to their bodies. This allows everyone to safely alter poses while still gaining all the benefits of the class. She also switches up her routines and playlists regularly allowing students to work various body parts even if they take her class daily. She is highly trained and has made teaching yoga not only a hobby but her life passion. She is truly unique.

This is by far the best workout I have ever done. Instructors are outstanding and the Sculpt class really moves. Has provided me great results in the year I have been going (1-2 times per week). Will continue to go as often as possible.
