I can’t recommend Miete Georgewill at Coreworks highly enough! Her Pilates sessions are the perfect blend of calm energy and powerful instruction. She creates such a welcoming and peaceful environment, but don’t be fooledβ€”her workouts are incredibly effective and leave you feeling strong and refreshed. Her attention to form and detail ensures you get the most out of every move, and her playlist? Absolutely top-tier. It sets the perfect vibe for each session. If you're looking for a mindful, motivating, and genuinely skilled instructor, Miete Georgewill is it!

I just started Pilates for the first time back in November and I am so glad it’s been with coreworks! The studios are always clean, they have a nice array of classes on the schedule, and they have great instructors. Miete is the BEST instructor and has me looking forward to class every week. She is so nice, has great energy and is encouraging. I love the energy she brings to class and the variety of moves we do every week. I have recommended coreworks to a few friends and will continue to do so!

My experience at Coreworks was amazing. Donna was incredibly prompt and helpful when I inquired about membership via email. The woman at the front desk during my first class was also very friendly. Fran, the instructor, seemed highly knowledgeable and led the class calmly and professionally throughout. Overall, it was a comfortable and clean atmosphere, and I couldn't find any downsides.

I had wanted to try pilates for several years but always found a reason not to take the leap of chance. After finally realizing that I had officially outgrown the weightlifting gym community and no longer had a passion for it, I did a lot of searching to find a pilates studio to try out. I knew I needed to be open-minded because I may not find the right studio immediately, but I am beyond thankful that Coreworks was my first try. I immediately felt comfortable and safe trying something brand new that I have always had a strong interest in. It has almost been a year now, and I am still just as in love with it as when I was when I started. Every instructor is driven by the motivation for you to have proper form and succeed while also pushing you to be the best that you can be. What is also great is that not every instructor has the same tempo and approach, so depending on how my body is feeling, I can sign up for the right classes, whether I need more gentle movement and stretching or challenge and strengthening. I would recommend Coreworks to anyone in a rut with their fitness journey and looking to be a part of a wonderful community. I am forever grateful to have discovered and taken a leap of chance with Coreworks!

Coreworks is amazing! From the moment you walk in everyone is willing to help and support you. The environment is clean, warm, and has a calming aura. Prior to beginning and signing up, I found Amber on Threads. I was looking for a new pilates home and there she was! Amber was/is AWESOME! She helped me set up a trial class, sign up for classes, and provided recommendations on what I should take. I was super excited to learn more about Tower Pilates and her video tutorial supported my signing up for the class. Although this isn't my first try at pilates, I was still nervous because it was a new place. Amber has made this an easy transition back into pilates. Unlike other pilates studios, I feel like the interaction with the instructors are more personal. Both Sarah and Amber intentionally check in on each individual as we're going through different movements. I feel comfortable that my form is being checked and addressed, with advice on how to do it properly, especially as they increase the intensity. The experience at Coreworks has been nothing short of fantastic!

I have taken 5 classes at Coreworks, specifically classes with Amber and each class has been phenomenal! After my first class, I was offered a new student package, which was an offer I couldn't turn down. The studio is neat, organized, clean and very welcoming. I can't wait to continue my Pilates journey with Coreworks.

I took my first Pilates class yesterday with Amber. I had never taken Pilates so I was nervous, but Amber was an excellent and patient instructor. Additionally, the studio space was clean and inviting. Amber has gone above and beyond to help me with scheduling and coordinating future classes to best take advantage of the new student special. I’m excited to continue my Pilates journey and take more classes at Coreworks!

I had my first class with Amber today and it was great! The class was fun and informative as I navigated Pilates for the first time in a while. I even decided to book more classes to continue my Pilates Journey. Again, thank you Amber for being a great teacher and look forward to more classes!

I can't say enough good things about Coreworks! From the moment you walk in the door, Donna is fantastic in welcoming you and even includes a thorough tour of the studio. Scheduling is a breeze with their easy-to-use online system through their website or the Mindbody app.

As a newbie to Pilates and the equipment, I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming all the instructors and community are. The vibe is nonjudgmental and supportive, making it a comfortable space to learn and grow. The equipment is clean and in great condition, which adds to the overall positive experience.

I highly recommend taking advantage of their current new student special of 12 classes in 30 days. Michele was a fantastic instructor for my first class, explaining the proper breathing techniques, which really helped me get started on the right foot. Chris incorporated a lot of much-needed stretching within the workout and did a great job explaining what the different springs represent.

Sara is extremely knowledgeable in different movements and knows how to add more to each movement if needed, helping you to challenge yourself and progress. Sarah has such a calming presence, which makes the entire experience even more enjoyable and relaxing.

All instructors are great at walking you through every single movement and what you should be feeling and where.

If you're looking for a welcoming, supportive Pilates studio with excellent instructors and top-notch equipment, Coreworks is the place to go!

My introductory month is coming to an end, and I have nothing but the highest praise for this Pilates studio. I was new to Reformer/Tower machinery, but every teacher made me feel welcomed and supported. Front desk support was superb. Facilities warm and inviting. Teachers are really knowledgeable and instruct well. Thanks, Coreworks!

Beginners class was a workoutπŸ₯². Moving muscles that apparently have not been used before lol. The instructor was very patient for the super beginner. I felt very comfortable being in an uncomfortable place. I am 258 lbs with social anxiety without a buffer (friend).

I lucked up on these class, trying to push myself socially out of my comfort zone, on Groupon. Bought the 3 pack of classes. If I were able to stack several more Groupon priced classes I'd be in fitness heaven.

I plan to do my best to make time to continue coming. I want thoes core muscles πŸ’ͺ🏾🦾πŸ’ͺ🏾πŸ’ͺ🏾

I have been training at Coreworks Fitness in Columbia for 15 years. They are a top notch studio. As a professional dancer, pilates is one of our staples. I am grateful to have such a high level staff to work with. Master trainer, Michele has worked with my champion Irish dancers and is one of the reasons for their success. Mother/Daughter team Sarah and Fran are a forced to be reckoned with. I highly recommend this studio for all body types, all levels.

I highly recommend CoreWorks Fitness Studio for in-person classes as well as virtual classes. I had almost three months of in-studio experience there with barre classes, mat Pilates, and equipment Pilates classes. I was new to these types of exercise, and the instructors were welcoming. All of the instructors were helpful, encouraging, and knowledgeable. The studio was a clean and comfortable environment. Due to COVID-19 statewide closures in spring 2020, the studio’s instructors posted a variety of wonderful (and free!) workout videos on their YouTube channel and then started live virtual classes. At first I was too self-conscious to have my camera on, but soon realized leaving my camera on during these live classes allowed for instructors to give real-time feedback and guidance for form and posture, to avoid injury and focus on the muscle groups intended for each exercise. CoreWorks Fitness Studio offers virtual classes 7 days a week, so their monthly unlimited plan is extremely affordable if you consistently take a few classes each week. I find I can attend more classes virtually compared to when I attended in-studio as I do not need to factor in drive time or make child care arrangements to exercise. All of the instructors remain helpful, professional, and fun while teaching virtual classes, and they switch up the exercises and choreography so the classes are not redundant and muscle groups are being worked, challenged, and stretched in different ways. The studio has been able to resume in-person classes with careful safety protocols in place, but luckily continue to offer the virtual classes as well. Their website is easy to navigate to pay for memberships, sign up for classes (in studio and virtual), and they are communicative via email to answer any questions. These classes have been a big part of my β€œself care” for physical and mental health, and I highly recommend people check out this studio! If you’re unsure, explore a few of their free YouTube videos, then consider a virtual class. I have nothing but positive things to say about each and every instructor of whom I’ve had the privilege of taking their class (both in-studio in the past and now virtually).

Peter is great! I love his philosophy and his compassion. I’ve know Peter for a few years as a massage therapist and he understood my personal situation so he looked for a way to provide me the one on one personal training that fit my budget and time. I am happy to learn from him about the whole body care from proper movement to building physical strength to mindfulness and meditation. I have truly enjoyed the sessions to date and will be sad when they are over. I love working with Peter!!

The gym is nice and clean. I like the variety of equipment and exercises available. The members and staff are friendly and the cost is reasonable too.

Cannot say enough good things about Coreworks! I first did the intro unlimited new client package, and since than now have an unlimited monthly membership. From the instructors, variety of classes, times, locations, and the studio itself- everything is amazing. I have truly had such a positive change in my body and am so much stronger (and getting stronger) after each class. The instructors never make you feel uncomfortable and are always helpful and not condescending if you cannot complete the full circuit of the movement and/or they adjust you so that you can work towards the full position/movement. Love, love, love!

update (6/2019):: I love coreworks! They are amazing and the instructors are phenomenal. I wish they offered more early afternoon classes and weekend afternoon classes, but hasn't stopped me (well.. only sometimes) from attending for over a year now. I don't think I have ever maintained fitness classes as much as I have with Coreworks. They are awesome!

Why do I go to Coreworks? The level of knowledge and expertise the instructors have and their commitment to well-being. Love the design of the studio in Columbia. I appreciate that, in these times of short attention spans and the use if gimmicks to get people into a workout routine, Coreworks has held fast to its premise: pilates and core srengthening. They are welcoming to all age groups, which is fast-becoming rare at most workout facilities. Their only fault is they are too accommodating to latecomers to class - people who regularly consistently predictably come late, which is a sign of selfishness and disrespect to Coreworks and those of us who arrive on time. They may not mind being late, but I mind your persistent disturbance as you disrupt my class time. I have been attending Coreworks since 2006 through kidney surgery, breast cancer, and spinal surgery. Pilates has always been my go-to when healing and in maintaining health and good posture. It should be yours too.

It’s a shame that companies don’t realize that the people that they have answering their phones can make or break them.

I called and asked very simple questions like do you have Vinyasa yoga and what is the pricing and when is it available. The person who answered the phone couldn’t answer any questions and was a little rude β€œI don’t know what that is” β€œwhat do you want β€œ
β€œWe have mat classes” β€œ tell me specifically what you wantβ€œ. Even after explaining that I wanted to continue with movement and not static poses first-rate and weight loss, she still has trouble

I would expect β€œwe have a class like that called X and it is offered on X days and x times. it cost X amount of dollars to try or be a member.”

It’s probably a great place but I’ll never know.

I've been going to Coreworks since last June. I've spent most of my life competing in athletics and athletic events. Volleyball, softball, mud runs, races, you name it. I'm so grateful I found Coreworks and the knowledgeable instructors there. They have a variety of class styles and for the first time in my life I'm exercising with a new purpose: functional movement. Class is as challenging as you are willing to make it, and most importantly you know you're taking care of your body (and not just beating it into the ground).

Fran and her team are very open to feedback, and add/change classes based on member schedules and preference.

PS I've recently begun supplementing my membership with a cheap athletic club so I can still lift free weights whenever I want. Pilates & weights are my perfect combination for a strong lean body

Thanks Coreworks!

Attended a Balanced Body CoreAlign2 training. Studio was clean and the people that work there seemed very friendly. There was adequate space for the equipment and students.

Sara was our instructor and is VERY knowledgable. She went through every exercise, in depth, and gave us plenty of modifications and "common questions asked". She also gave us excellent feedback for us for our future instruction.

I've taken another pilates teacher training course here before and the instruction was also very good.

If I lived closer to the area, I'd definitely consider taking classes there as the instruction I've received has been excellent.

It's obvious that every single person who works or works out at Core Works truly cares.
