Owen is a true teacher/instructor! Taking lessons from Owen has been a great experience. For one, I see him as someone who is vested in my success and my golf goals. It is clear he cares and is very affable, but also he has the ability to communicate clearly and the drills to get the body to follow. He also takes full advantage of technology and video capture so you can see what he sees in your swing and then posts the critical parts of each session so you can refer back to them when at home or practicing. After only 5 sessions, we have already significantly reworked my swing so that I'm much more consistent and making much better contact with the ball. Owen met me where I was with my understanding, my physical abilities, and swing, and then taught me from there - in the process providing me a sound understanding of everything he's taught me and WHY it works. It is clear he just doesn't teach to get you to fit a paradigm. His teaching has given me the ability and understanding to check and self correct, which I believe is very important. When I got frustrated early in the process, he was encouraging - which I appreciated. I started seeing Owen about a year ago and if you’re looking for a phenomenal coach and someone who understands the golf swing look no further. The way he teaches is outstanding and understanding! I’ve been working with Owen over the past month. I am new to golf so we are working on my swing from the ground up. The way Owen not only demonstrates and teaches during the lesson in a manner in which a beginner can understand but the videos of our lessons he sends for review plus the coaching app where I can send videos and receive constant feedback to ensure I’m practicing the correct techniques has been amazing and super helpful. It's amazing how much Owen helped me accomplish in only four lessons, but my swing + grip were transformed! I saw immediate gains out of the greenside bunkers (after only one lesson) and in my short game around the green; then we started expanding to wedges and iron play, without overdoing it.

Owen is the best. I have taken lessons with other pros and places like Golftec. What sets Owen apart is he is willing to look at each golfer individually. A golf swing, and the mechanics to build a decent one is not a one size fits all situation. Owen knows this and treats each golfer differently, he isn't trying to force "his process" on each golfer and hoping for results. I would recommend Owen to any skill level of golfer. I highly recommend Owen Dawson, PGA Golf Instructor! I was a 110 golfer when I started with Owen five months ago. I am now consistently in the 90’s and just scored my record low, 88! Owen is by far the best teacher I've had in the game of golf. He is committed to improving your game and his methods of teaching work. I'm only a few lessons in out of the 10 hour improvement, and am already seeing the benefits and understanding my swing better. I will likely continue taking lessons with him long after.

He uses technology and cameras to record the session and instruct. It's super effective for those who are visual and kinetic learners. You can re-watch your lessons on the app, incase you forgot a step.

Owen encourages contact through the app in between lessons where he provides tips and instruction on the drills that he wants me to work on in between sessions.

I recommend Owen to anyone who is willing to devote the time and energy required to improve their golf game. In my case, I was an experienced golfer who had never really learned the proper golf mechanics. Owen helped me remold my swing, basically from scratch. Getting lessons with Owen was the best golfing decision I’ve made since I started playing the game. I’ve been playing for 10 years now, using clubs that were handed down. I ultimately decided lessons would be more valuable than new clubs. Owen has an incredible system that allows you to see firsthand the good and bad in your swing, then have access to the entire lesson for future reference. He gave me a drill that instantly solved a horrible slice that id been developing. He saw things in my swing that I couldn’t, and was able to fix it. Owen helped me lower my index from 9 down to 6. I'm a senior golfer. Owen hasn't tried to revamp my entire swing. He suggests small changes that help me make better ball contact, even if my swing isn't perfect. Owen has also made some great suggestions for my short game shots.

What I like about Owen Dawson is he gives you homework, by that I mean drills for you to work on until your next lesson. I find this to be very helpful, because without the drills you can lose sight of what you need to work on until the next Lesson. Also I was never a guy that used training aids, but Owen changed that. Along with my drills he gave me some training aids to help me with my swing, the result was unbelievable. I highly recommend Owen Dawson as a golf instructor If you’re serious about your golf game and getting better.

I recently completed a set of four lessons with Owen. He is a terrific coach and communicator. He listens and offers suggestions to improve your game, not change it. I’ve already seen improvements in my short game and more consistently from the tee. Definitely recommend him.

Owen has been instrumental in the development of my game over the last 3 years. I highly recommend Owen Dawson - I came to Owen after 20 plus years of playing golf - all self-taught. As you can imagine, I've developed some bad habits over the years. I have had instruction from various golf pros over the years and Owen is by far the best. He works with my physical limitations and always gets the most out of “my swing”. He does not try to teach to a single approach or technique. His short game and putting instruction are also superb. Both my son (12) and I have been taking lessons with Owen for the past four years. He has a way of working with kids and simplifying the swing for them. My son continues to enjoy the game and look for to his lessons. For me, Owen did not try to totally change my swing but tweek and adjust to help me gain more consistency. The use of video is really helpful for instant feedback. I decided to try and fix my swing rather then buy a new driver and think that would fix my swing. Thus far it has been money well spent!

When I started taking lessons with Owen I had barely picked up a club. I did not have the good fortune to play golf as a child so Owen had his work cut out for him!
He was patient, clear, and used technology as well as tried and true techniques to help me learn and improve my game. On the range:
Owen's private lessons don't stop at the range. He takes the time to send you a video with voice commentary to remind you what to focus on. One lesson can do so much. I look forward to a follow up lesson soon.

Short game:
After taking a small group lesson for chipping around the green my game has gained so much confidence. Bad thoughts simply do not come in my head which can be detrimental around the greens.

Owen not only has the latest video and track-man tools available, but also makes good use of less hi tech training aids if needed. Being a remedial student, Owen has creatively set up a drill for me with an alignment rod to come in under to flatten my swing plane. Owen also goes the extra step and sends me edited video with annotations and a narrative.

I highly recommend Owen for beginners to low handicap players.

Owen does two things particularly well, in my opinion. First, he is a master of recording technology, and it really helps me to see what I need correcting, and what the new move needs to be. Second, Owen knows what the best next step should be in your own journey to a better swing. I have taken one or two lessons from Owen each year for the last three or four years – one relatively small step at a time, and then worked on grooving that step. In that period, my index has dropped about 8 strokes, and in 2007 I won the Club’s “Most Improved Player” award. Kudos to Owen!
