Having worked on a gymnastics training facility, I am quite picky. I have found the staff to be inclusive, kind, and willing to work with their clients. The instruction is decent. As with ANY work related jobs, some instructors are better than others, but all are decent. This is our second year there. If I wasn't pleased, I would not still be here.

For a business with such high demand, Docksiders Gymnastics has a very antiquated registration process. All registration is in-person. You have to come to the facility during a work day and stand in line for a spot in a class that may or may not have any openings by the time you reach the front of the line. For people standing in this long line, there is no communication as to which classes still have availability and what is now full with a wait list. So you can wait in line for over an hour just to be told there are no spots available and there is already a wait list 10 kids long. If Docksiders Gymnastics will not invest in an online registration and waitlist system, they could at least have a better in-person registration experience with multiple people accepting applications and increased communication for class availability for those waiting in line. Their current process is absolutely absurd for the year 2022.

Where to begin? Signed up 2 of my girls for a week long summer camp. They required a $110 Family Registration fee of on top of the $590 camp fee. One of the instructors TRIED TO PULL OUT MY 7 YEAR OLD'S TOOTH. She apparently cleaned her hands first (eye roll..we are in the midst of COVID) and attempted to pull my kids tooth. WHY???
My good friend took them every day and this same instructor questioned my 7 year old about her family dynamics while she was in the bathroom. Are your parents divorced? How many sisters do you have?
**I have to give the owner credit. He was very responsive and handled this matter with professionalism and courtesy. He assured me this wasnβt something theyβve ever had happen before and he met with the entire staff to ensure it never happens again.

Instructional lessons are very organized and the kids get a lot of skills training. The instructors are very knowledgeable and hands on. My life have not made teams yet, but I do watch many of the teams practice and I'm very impressed with the level of performance from the students.

My daughters have been going to Docksiders Gymnastics for the past 3 years and have absolutely loved it especially taking class with their favorite teacher Ms. Lisa. :) I love watching my girls grow with the gymnastic skills. I would recommend them to anyone considering placing their child in gymnastics!

My daughter goes there and they seem to favor some kids over the other and they never give constructive criticism so the girls on her team have terrible form and have trouble with basic skills. The couches also don't take it seriously so the girls are doing very bad at meets.

My daughter has been a student at Docksiders for 4 years. Miss Lisa is her teacher. She has a standard of excellence that is unparalleled and inspires my daughter to work hard and never give up. Docksiders, Miss Lisa & the entire staff continues to give my daughter high quality training and positive encouragement. I recommend Docksiders to anyone looking for a quality gym full of hardworking & dedicated professionals.

For the past 5 years, I have watched 4 of my grandchildren thrive at Docksiders Gymnastics. Beginning in the baby class, they are not only learning gymnastic skills, but positive social interaction as well. The Teachers are knowledgable and friendly, and the gym is always full of young people hard at work. One teacher in particular, Lisa Welsh, has had all four of my grandchildren. She has unbelievable patience with the little ones and it's amazing how much they learn all while having fun! yhree is my grandchildren, ages 2 through 8 are still taking class with her on a weekly basis. Lisa has a gift for bringing out the best in her students. She has a way of making them believe in their ability and build confidence while trying to master new skills. I have seen the strides that the oldest has made just this past year! Lisa is a genuinely caring teacher who wants only the best for her students and always has their best interest at heart. I am totally happy with my experience at Docksiders Gymnastics in Millersville and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place for their children to learn and grow!

I started bringing my daughter to the Docksiders tadpoles (mommy and me) program in the fall of 2015. We were looking for something that would give her more exposure to kids her age and provide her with some fun physical play time. From the beginning, our expectations have been exceeded. She always looks forward to going to class (she wants her leotard on from the time she wakes up on her gymnastics mornings). Mrs. Lisa is wonderful with all of the kids - encouraging and supportive of their efforts, even on those tough toddler days. My daughter goes crazy when she sees the teachers enter the gym and she knows it's time for "tada"! The class is broken up into multiple different stations which keeps the little ones focused. Stretching, singing, tumbling, climbing...great mix of activities, and there is something new each week. And of course, they all love getting stamps at the end of class! We'll be signing up for the next spring session soon.
I'd recommend that anyone looking for a gymnastics program try Docksiders. We've had a great experience thus far, my daughter has enjoyed making new friends and has developed and refined her large motor skills...all while having lots of fun with Mrs. Lisa in a great environment for kids.

We moved here three years ago and my daughter had been doing recreational gymnastics for two years. At Docksiders Ms. Lisa was her first teacher and saw potential in her. She was moved to an invitation only class taught by Ms. Lisa and Ms. Cheree. I was thrilled to see my daughters skills improve, but more importantly her love for the sport and her coaches. This gym does a great job at balancing the important aspects of teaching discipline, dedication and perseverance, (essential to success in this sport) all while laughing and having fun. After 3 years here, my daughter is now a member of girls level 3 team with Ms. Megan and Ms. Kayla. She still talks about and sees Ms. Lisa all the time, and because of her wants to be a gymnastics coach when she grows up. My daughter is proud to wear the Docksiders colors, not because of what she has learned here, but because of her teammates and coaches that have become her second family. Everyone here is loving, and supportive, I could not have asked for a better place for my daughter to learn gymnastics and gain excellent role models!!

Docksiders Gymnastics is one of the best gymnastics programs you will find in this area! Not only did I start my gymnastics career there in the Mommy and Me classes with Mrs. Lisa but I was able to compete as a gymnast for 18 years at Docksiders and receive a scholarship to a Division 1 college to compete for my University. I also had the opportunity to go back and work as a coach and pass on my gymnastics knowledge to the children in the class programs. My experience and review for their program deserves nothing short of all 5 stars!
Docksiders is a place where parents can take their children and know the care and attention given to each class is directed by wonderful instructors who want to see kids have a good time and learn something new. When I was young my first classes were with Mrs. Lisa, who has been working there for around 30 years. She has directed the class program in a way that is most beneficial to each child and their individual skill set. It is so important for children to have a physical understanding of their body and be able to develop hand-eye coordination at a young age. The exercises, drills, obstacle courses and skills that Docksiders sets up for each class aims to help every child develop that basic understanding and work on any other area the child may be struggling with such as dealing with fears, flexibility, strength, problem solving, and even socializing skills and building confidence!
Docksiders is a Gymnastics Gym and therefore has hundreds of girls coming through the doors everyday to work hard, spend time with their friends and have a good time. If you, as a parent, are too concerned about the available space in the gym (which there is an entire section designated to the class program in the gym), cleanliness of the waiting room or the gym (which is vacuumed and cleaned numerous times each week but there is something called Chalk which is essential in the sport of gymnastics), or putting your child in any sort of playful or fun competition where they are able to win prizes, coloring pages, or even leotards and candy because they overcome a fear, stick a skill or perform on the high beams for the first time, you are not seeing the true work and effort that is being put into every class at Docksiders.
Docksiders aims to build your child up, help them become a better person, and be able to solve problems on their own. From experience, I can say Docksiders is one of the best programs you can put your child into if they are looking for a fun place to meet new kids, have a good time, be around coaches and instructors who truly care about kids, and of course JUMP IN THE PIT :)

My daughter has been going to Docksiders for 3 years and we absolutely love it! We started with Mrs. Lisa and she is fantastic! She truly LOVES these kids and it shines through when she teaches them. My son also went for a year, in the beginning he was shy and would get upset being separated from me. Mrs. Lisa helped us and worked through this stage with us and was really caring toward him. My daughter has also had Mrs. Cheree, Mrs. Kayla, and Mrs. Megan. LOVE THEM ALL! Can't go wrong with this gym for your child!

I have been taking my daughter to Docksiders for 4 years. She began in the mommy and me class and we have been hooked ever since! Ms. Lisa was her first teacher, and I truly believe she is the reason Gabi fell in love with gymnastics. When my daughter was three and a half she was given the opportunity to move to an invitation only class taught by Cheree and Lisa. I was astonished at the level of training, discipline, and care that these young girls were given. Gymnastics became something that my daughter wanted to do daily! Four years later, she has been blessed with the opportunity to work with many different faculty members, each helping her blossom into the gymnast she is today. I now have my son enrolled in the mommy and me class and he has a very different personality than his sister. He is more rambunctious and doesn't necessarily want to listen all of the time. Ms. Lisa has been a saint with him and has never stopped encouraging him to keep trying. I have seen a huge improvement in him and I can honestly say it is because of Lisa's direction, patience, and support. I look forward to many more years of training and friendship at Docksiders!

We've been coming to Docksiders since my daughter was one and a half and in the Mommy and Me class and my son was in the Pre-School class. They loved those classes and asked each day if it was "Gymnastics Day." My daughter has progressed on to an invitation-only class for the last two years. She has so much love for the sport and loves coming to class. We've had great experiences with all of the teachers we've had (Ms. Theresa, Ms. Haley, Ms. ChereΓ©, Ms. Kayla, and Ms. Lisa). My daughter is very outgoing and talkative and all of the teachers (past and present) take the time to listen to her in the gym. My daughter has had Ms. Lisa for the last 2.5 years and she just loves her. I know how much Lisa cares for my daughter and all of the kids she works with. I love how much self-discipline my daughter has been taught in her classes. I know that it will take her far in the sport and far in life.

I tried calling here to speak to the manager and got some rude lady on the phone. She proceeding to have an attitude with me and then hung up on me. I was just inquiring about the different programs. Never have I ever had such horrible customer service. And apparently this person was a teacher. She won't be teaching my kids. Stay away!

For those looking at this gym for team training, the gymnasts are well conditioned, and well trained. For your interests in recreational classes, however, the students aren't acceding properly because of poor training. The coaches don't take the sport seriously for the recreational gymnasts. They are too progressive meaning that they will allow a gymnast who can't do a proper forward roll to train for back handsprings. They don't correct form either, such as basic straightening of the legs and squeezing tight in skills. For those students that have been taking docksiders recreational classes for years, are still stumbling on the basics. On top of that, the space provided for the students is terrible. While the team members are using 3/4 of the gym on REAL professional equipment, the recreationals are cramped into a small sliver of the gym using pathetic equipment. Overall, this is not a very good place for the training of recreational gymnasts. And trust me, I'm even sugar coating this a little.
