Amazing costumer service, the staff are kind and really helpful. I enjoy my time at gym EVERYTIME. I’m able to get all my workouts done with no interruptions. Their Locker room are surprisingly clean. They don’t have all the equipment in the world but if your looking for a quality workout with good energy. This is the place to be.

The AC in the group fitness room has been broken for months in the dead of summer. People also abandon their weights and workout equipment in the group fitness room, so people taking classes have to move them from the middle of the floor.

Also, since mid-Aug, the Kids Club has permanently closed.

So now no AC, fewer amenities, but gym fees remain the same...SMH

Less than 1star if possible. I don't even go to this gym. I got an online trial&when I went in for the tour. The front desk attendant was so dismissive I decided to walk out without completing the tour. Gym owners, the people that sit in the front of the house will make/break your business. The amenities &location was an attractive selling point but the staff is a total turn off& ultimately lead to my decision to not be a patron, not even as a guest.

LA Fitness is a mediocre gym, just barely good enough to get a workout in depending on the time you go.

Regardless, the staff here (and at many other LA Fitness locations) are a joke. Many of the front desk staff there lack professionalism and seem not to care about anything. They are poorly trained and either give you attitude or don't care to look at you in the face. Half of the time I can barely hear what they are communicating if you try to ask them an important question.

Also, like some other reviewers, the A/C at this place may not function or be on all the time, so it CAN get disgustingly hot, humid, and smelly.

If it weren't for my budget, I'd avoid going to LA Fitness and go to someplace like Gold's Gym or something.

This gym has progressively deteriorated over the past few months. If only management cared to make an effort. The place is overall very filthy- everywhere. A/C is often not on or not working, it is HOT. And the one worker has no idea how to turn it on or do anything. One Saturday morning the gym just didnt open, no notification or warning, people showing up and waiting over an hour outside. Trainers for scheduled classes just don't show up. Also no notification.There is a moldy smell at the entrance and in the weight room. Many equipment broken for long periods of time. Great location but disappointed with the lack of care and maintenance at this gym.

I have been member for more than 8 years l visit this location at least 3 times at week, is always so dirty, to the point that looks that in the after noon is so dirty, this place could be great but just need a good cleaning and maintenance, l wonder if the heath depart will approve this place as a healthy for the community, it used to be better but since management change get worse, today l call 8:45 pm on 7/7/22 and the from desk person said he doesn’t even know where is the sauna, he said he only has one month working here and doesn’t know nothing so waisted money if they need to charge more money ok put a price and customer can decide if pay or not but this place could be a place where everyone could get a disease 🦠 is a big risk because they don’t have a maintenance and cleaning person to keep cleaning, as everyone can see l posted the pictures l just took today, and unfortunately to be able to post this l have to pick at least one start but l wasn’t going to give them no even one .

The first bad review I've ever left. I signed up for a personal trainer. When I show up, the trainer coordinator, Ra was out because she was at the beauty supply store. Apparently, she needed some oil for her hair. 45 minutes later, no one shows up. I sign up for a trainer based on the condition that I not work with Ra because I can't work with no-shows. I later find out, she's the only one who schedules the trainer apparently (according to the other 'Ra'). This place is ate-up. I signed a very substantial contract for a trainer, and no one shows up. No one calls. The general manager, David, however seems very professional. Hopefully, he can turn around this horrible establishment. It does have potential. Get rid of the non-workers.

Compared to other LA Fitness gyms I have been to this joint has nice workout halls and good space area. The downside is that the washrooms here are really dirty, I do not know if they really clean them. The closets too need some upgrades and repairs. Because most lock handles do not work. Please please please don't go here unless they fix it!!! The pool has black particles at the bottom. The ropes that seperates the lanes are filthy. Hair floating in the pool. The hot tub is stained horribly on the sides and the bottom and also has white substance floating at the top of the water and the jets were not on. The showers have globs of hair in them. The sauna has broken wooden bench. And clearly hasn't had a thorough cleaning in awhile. I regret not taking pictures to show exactly what I'm telling you. I challenge this location and all of its employees and owners to correct all these safety issues and prove me wrong because I don't want anyone else to experience what I did on 5/8/22.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Front desk employees are useless. They have very limited knowledge about the gym or amenities. Can only access fitness class schedule through the app, but in reality the classes are first come first serve regardless of reservation. Cycle bikes have broken pedals so make sure you show up early to get a good bike. General managers are super aggressive and pushy for you to purchase a personal trainer package. Very similar to a greasy car salesman. Clean facility but needs major customer service training for all staff.

Staff is horrible. For almost 2 years now I have suggested they have extra disposable masks for members because they can rip or simply forget to bring one, but no they’ll rather kick you out mid way through your workout or send you away. Something that can easily be solved by buying a couple disposable masks, this is something so simple and small and shows how little this gym cares for its members. Let me not get started on how machines have been “in repair” for 2-3 years, just get rid of it and get a new one or simply get rid of it. Cheap gym, horrible staff, bad decision.

I was there Friday as soon as they open and the weight room was a mess, the weights were all over the place and some even in the cardio room. Management need to place more cleaning/sanitation stations around the gym. You literally have to walk back up to the front of the weight room to get cleaning/sanitation supplies. I thought after closing; the workers cleaned up the gym like putting the weights back on the rack. I guess not. I didn't see anyone cleaning at this place like I see at others.

A handful of weight machines are out of service or locking pins are damaged. 1. There is NO hand sanitizer stations, when I tried speaking to a African American lady with braids at the front desk.. she told me to spray cleaner on my hands with harsh chemicals. I then asked a janitor and he got smart with me and did not refill it.

2. There was no more spray bottles most times and no paper towels. How would we clean the equipment? So no hand sanitizer to wipe our hands after each work out and nothing to clean the equipment with. During a pandemic this is totally not okay.

3. When I went to laurel, it was cleaner, they had bottles, had paper towels and seemed like it was ran properly with management. If you have that pass go to a different location. You might catch covid here, vaccinated or unvaccinated.

4. Lastly it stinks, don’t believe me? Go inside.

Very poor customer service!!! The club has apparently been sanctioned for people not wearing masks; they have in turn gone completely overboard!!! POLICE were called on a me because my mask fell below my nose while I was running. Police! They didn't warn me or anything but an Amanda Bedswell immediately asked that I leave with the police! I've seen clogged showers multiple times and been there less than a year. Consumers Beware: DECEITFUL & MANIPULATIVE tactics used by General Manger Robert H. & staff. As a former L.A fitness member residing in the Bowie, MD area, I was contemplating continuing a membership with L.A. fitness and signed up for a guest/trial pass at this location. This turned out to be one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a gym and has strongly impacted my decision to take my business elsewhere. General Manager Robert wasted 3days of my time, by choosing not to honor my VALID guest pass as stated by the L.A fitness corporate policy; but instead He used deceitful and manipulative tactics, by “making up” his own policy, in which he claimed a former member of the club could not use a trial pass, in order to get me to sign up for a membership under him. After I refused to do so, Robert continued to attempt to bully and intimidate me into signing up for a membership by claiming that I could not use my trial pass; it wasn’t until I asked him to show me where this rule was listed in the corporate policy did he finally activate my guest pass after 3 days. After 15 mins of digging around for confirmation on this fabricated policy; Robert could not find anything as this rule DOES NOT exist. Neither Robert or operations manager Katie L. Were apologetic over wasting my time. Please please consumers take your business to any other la fitness branch or gym

I'm done with this location --- the clientele just makes this gym completely trashy. I'm gay and I've gotten called a fa***t (or the Spanish equivalent) by the clientele so many times it's ridiculous. There are tons of closeted creepy old guys who just sit and stare at people (especially if you are a guy). Staff are not out on the floor enough to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen. Dudes are always clogging up the toilet and getting feces all over the toilet seat. You can't walk barefoot in the bathroom without getting piss all over your feet. Weights are always disappearing, and you can never find them. Equipment gets broken and takes weeks to get fixed. The clientele does not clean the equipment after use. I use the Bowie and Laurel locations, and they are not like this at all.

Actually the nicest one I've seen. I would avoid the pool and spa as older people seems to use the gym just for that.

Not the "prettiest" L.A. Fitness I've been too, but they have plenty of weights, not too crowded (so far, i haven't had to wait for a machine in two weeks of going) workout room is kept clean, pools looks nice (from a quick glance), staff is very friendly. You can hit chest and back from every angle with the machines they have (incline, decline, normal) which is one of the reasons I don't go to planet fitness.

Where they could improve: locker rooms/restrooms need a major upgrade, improved hours (they close too early) and a few boxing bags in the room where classes are done would be awesome, most la fitness have that. Also, no basketball court kinda sucks.

In all, they do ok with the limited space they have. (Maybe take out the racquetball courts that no one uses and put a basketball court?)

Some of the people are lying on here the pool area do nt stink and people are not being harassed they aren’t going by the rules then . If y’all was we won't be saying nothing to people so therefore nobody is harassing nobody
