Hi Joe! Wanted to let you know that the level of service from the trainers I work with is EXCELLENT! Their professionalism, knowledge and strong focus on proper technique is phenomenal. Plus, designing each workout based on my needs or issues (had some low back issues this week after walking in parade last week) is greatly appreciated. Was nice to continue my workouts this week without aggravating low back until I could see my chiropractor.

I have been at EIF for almost a year now and my only regret is that I didn’t start sooner! When mid-life body composition changes weren’t responding to the cardio-heavy workouts I’d done for most of my life, I knew it was time to switch to strength training as the foundation of my fitness plan. One consultation at EIF and I knew I didn’t need to look any further. I have never had the body type of someone “strong” and I came in to EIF feeling intimated and out of my element. Dylan and Dave are amazing coaches who have not only helped me strengthen my body but my mindset as well (the changes to both have been pretty extraordinary over the last year!). They thoughtfully tailor my workouts to meet my goals, keep me challenged, and get results. They expertly know how to push me farther than I think I am capable of, and always safely. I feel very fortunate to have such kind, caring, and knowledgeable professionals in my corner. Without question, the program here works -- my strength has significantly increased, and my body fat has significantly decreased. They even have this 50-something doing pull-ups for the first time in her life!

I went into Excellence in Fitness a bit skeptical, not really expecting much beyond your typical workout routine. But I have to say, my experience has been exceptional—and I’m honestly blown away by the changes I’ve seen in a short period of time.
The coaches here are phenomenal. They genuinely care about you as an individual, not just another person on the schedule. You can tell they’re invested in helping you reach your personal goals, with a deep knowledge of fitness and a dedication that feels rare. Every session is tough, no question—I leave physically exhausted but also on a mental “high” that keeps me coming back for more.
The workouts themselves are well-designed and challenging, and I can feel my progress each time. It’s the kind of place where you look forward to every session because you know it’s making a difference. I've been going to Excellence in Fitness for about 9 months now and I've seen drastic improvements in regaining my strength and losing weight/inches. After I had shoulder surgery and graduated from rehab, I wanted to find a trainer that would guide me through my workouts so I lift property and makes sure I don't re-injure myself. They certainly have a process that works and I highly recommend this program.

I am in my early 40s and started at Excellence in Fitness after numerous attempts to make a change on my own. Having never used a fitness coach, I didn’t know what to expect. Never pushy or intimidating, I soon found a thoughtful ear laser focused on helping me achieve my goals and overcoming my fears and obstacles that have kept me from achieving them. For too long the hustle of life subordinated my own fitness and health to other obligations. With EIF my exercise routine became automatically built into my weekly routine. They feed on a personal desire to improve and are there with you hand in hand to facilitate it becoming reality. Now a couple months in, I honestly feel like the trajectory of my life has changed. I’m seeing physical results but beyond that my ability to manage stress, maintain high energy levels, and keep a positive attitude have all improved dramatically. I also feel more confident, find my clothes fitting better, and am able to enjoy more physical activities that I’ve always enjoyed such as hiking national parks (such as Yosemite). I am grateful for my trainer, AJ, and look forward to continuing this journey toward the best version of me. If you’re on the fence about whether to pull the trigger I highly encourage you to give it a try and couldn’t recommend EIF and their expert crew more highly.

I have been to lots of gyms and I have never been to a place like Excellence in Fitness. The trainers are top notch (Dave, Dylan, etc) and they will push you, but not break you. They really understand the logic behind this unique training philosophy. They will develop a personal program to meet your exact needs and no one is left out regardless of your physical skills. I have been going for five months now and plan to continue for a long time. Health is the real wealth and this place will make you very best you can be over time. I cannot recommend EIF any more highly. Give it a try as there is no hard sell or long term commitment. Thank you Joe, Dave and Dylan!!

EIF is the BEST! I'm 65 and have been overweight and sedentary for most of my life. When I retired, I realized that I didn't have the strenght to do many of the things that I wanted to do. I've never stuck with any sort of exercise program, but I've been going here 3x a week for about 8 months so far. My strength, flexibility and posture have all improved dramatically.
Joe and his team are great and take a personal interest in your success. They make it so easy to get a complete workout in 30 minutes. All you have to do is show up and they take you through every step. Dylan has been my primary trainer, since the start, and I can't say enough good things about him! He is knowledgable, patient and knows just how far to push me to challenge me, but not to a point where I would be discouraged. He always seems interested, attentive and personally invested in my success. Ethan is my weekend trainer and is fantastic as well. I am so glad I found EIF and am grateful to the team for all they do!

I love EIF!!! All of the coaches are exceptional. They work with you closely and are so attuned to your ability, and really push you, encouragingly, to exceed what you thought you could do. Every session is another learning experience as to how far you can safely push yourself to exceed the last sessions bench mark. Everyone is professional and a lot of fun to work with even though you may be cursing them under your breath during the 30 minutes you are there to improve yourself. I recommend EIF highly to anyone who is ready to make a change!

Working with a skilled personal trainer should be part of everyone’s health regimen, especially if they’re old enough to remember who Cyndi Lauper is (I <3 Cyndi Lauper). I always thought fitness was about abs. After suffering a herniated disc a couple of years ago, I have a new perspective. It was a slow process getting back to being able to do the things I used to do. The big consensus advice from friends was to ‘take it easy’. The progress I’ve made working with AJ and Dave at EIF has been far greater than anything I accomplished while resting (not that resting is all bad of course). They have helped me get into the best shape of my life, and shown me that a half hour with a pro is way better than any amount of wandering in a gym. They worked with my limitations and taught me to never give up. Thanks guys!

I go to EIF because it is the most efficient and the most effective way to build a solid foundation of strength, that keeps my whole body fit and energized throughout the week. 30 minutes, 3x a week with their professional coach who is trained and certified in their specific program. I've been going to EIF for over ten years! My husband goes (who never worked out before!- he loves it) and now that my son is of age, we have him going to. He plays soccer and I know that building strength is a way to prevent injury. He loves it too! He is building his foundation early and also reaping the benefits of strength and knowledge! But, I would say it's never too late! Everyone can benefit from the simple, yet complex exercises that are carefully thought through and developed and then personalized. I could go on and on, but if you're on the fence, I'd say don't wait another day. They say the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today. I love my EIF!!

When I challenge them to get me to the next level they challenge me right back with the personalized plan to achieve it. I joined EIF almost two years ago and love it. They're great at working with you to tailor a workout that's right for you. For someone like me who has always had trouble working out consistently, it's provided me with an atmosphere where I actually enjoy the work-outs. I just completed my second workout at Excellence in Fitness, and I can’t say enough good things about this studio. I’m not a spring chicken (63), and I always feel very intimidated at gyms I feel like I need to get in better shape to go to one, and I never know what to do. This is a completely different experience. Having a one on one trainer makes all the difference. He seems to know what areas I want to improve first without me telling him. And I’m not worried because he is constantly making sure the workout is effective with no injuries. I’ve seen what a difference this fitness model has made in my daughter, and I’m very excited to see the difference 30 minutes, twice a week can make.

I came to Excellence in Fitness following rehabilitation for knee and hip injuries. Although physical therapy helped me get back to running and playing sports pain-free, I needed to rebuild my strength in my leg and Excellence in Fitness ended up being the perfect place to do that. Their equipment and trainers are great, particularly Garret, the trainer whom I spent most of my workout sessions with. Excellence in Fitness is more expensive than your traditional gym, but it is worth the one-on-one time you get with personal trainers. If you have a weight-loss or weight-gain goal, or just want to learn how to properly workout and lift weights, this facility is the right place to go with!

Went to Excellence in Fitness Annapolis charity fund raising event today with my girlfriend. We both got complementary sessions. I am a member, she is not. The trainers were great as usual. My girlfriend learned a lot and I got a great cardio session with a different trainer than my normal one. These people are professional and watch out for you as they test you to you limit. This is not a gym, but a life changing experience. What a terrific team of trainers to keep me motivated and challenged. I didn't believe that 30 minutes, three time/week would have much impact, but my muscles are responding, my energy levels are up & I keep going back for more. EIF is top shelf in my book! From the moment you walk into their immaculate facility you get a sense that these guys know what they are doing. I have been going for almost a year now and what a difference they have made in my life. The equipment is stellar and designed to give you the maximum benefit for your work. The program is designed to the individual so no matter how bad of shape your are in, like I was when I started, or any limitations you might have, they will develop a program that is right "for you" that will improve your health and the way you feel about yourself.
As for the trainers, they are great! Having a one-on-one coach really benefits me much more than going it alone. My coach designs my workouts to keep it interesting and work all the various muscle groups to achieve maximum strength development. He motivates me to push that "little-bit-more" to keep progressing towards improvement. More importantly though, he keeps me from injuring myself which often happened when I use to workout on my own. But even days I have to change, and yes they are great about trying to accommodate my scheduling needs, I will occasionally end up with one of the other trainers and they are all just super folks. I never feel intimidated or like I don't belong there.
I've done a lot of different exercise/training programs throughout my many years and followed the "exercise" books and routines prescribed for the equipment. I have never walked away feeling the benefit (and "good" pain) from my long workouts as I feel in just a 30 minute workout at EIF. Exercising at EIF saves me a lot of time and provides a much greater impact and benefit to my health than I was ever able to achieve on my own.
No matter where you are at in your current health, if you want to have some improvement in your health, feel better, sleep better, eat better, and have some fun doing it - then I highly recommend you go see Joe and his team at EIF.

Excellence In Fitness will get you in shape! The trainers here are all committed to your personal goals, whether it is gaining strength, losing weight, cardio, better diet...they do it all. And they make the exercise a lot more enjoyable than just walking up to a machine and willing yourself through another boring regimen. They are always mixing it up to engage new muscles and throw challenges in front of you, then constantly support and encourage you through the challenges. The one on one format is perfect for focused training and allows more interaction with the trainer so not only can you tone and gain strength, you can also ask all the questions you want about exercise and health in general to come away from each session a lot smarter about health and fitness. Ideal setup for anyone with a busy schedule. Highly recommended.
