Only thing missing is a pool. Lots of machines, spaced out so they are easy to get on and off. Lots of free classes.

I visited in the evening around 5:30 pm and upon arrival I was not greeted by the Caucasian male at the front with a red shirt on that said staff on the back. I waited patiently until I got fed up because at this point I was clearly being ignored. I WAS STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM AND HE ACTED AS IF HE WAS USING THE COMPUTER. Never acknowledged me, never said hello, never smiled, NOTHING. So I asked for assistance from the blonde hair woman there who understands how customer service works. If this is how I’m initially treated at any establishment this is a clear indication of the environment AND I SHOULD’VE LEFT IMMEDIATELY. Any-who, she finished setting me up and answered all questions about the cycling/spin class I wanted to attend. I proceeded to wait for my friend and when she arrived she signed up and we waited in the cycling class until I realized that it was time for the class to start and no one was there. My friend and I walked back to the front desk and the same rude guy was at the front. He saw me walking up to the desk and he immediately turned around and acted as if he was doing something else AFTER we made eye contact. My friend and I looked at each other and asked β€œdid that just happened?” I was disgusted, at this point any chances of me signing up for an actual membership there was out of the question. A FLAT NO. The blonde hair lady ended up helping us once again and had to call the instructor to find out where he/she was at. The instructor cancelled the class apparently for the entire week via Facebook. I asked how was I supposed to know about this and why 45 minutes later of me waiting did I just find out about this after all of the questions I had about that class in particular? This is by far one of the worst experience I’ve ever had at a gym or any business to be honest. That guy at the front needs to be fired because that is NOT how you treat your members, potentially new members, or anyone.

Clean and friendly environment. I enjoy the women’s gym area separate from the main gym space. The smoothies are great.

A good gym. They keep the equipment in good working order. It is spacious. There is a separate, smaller women's workout area. I wish the handicapped shower stall in the ladies' room had a hand held shower.....it is not really accessible for someone who can't stand to adjust the shower head.

I moved out of town and have been trying to cancel my membership for months. Letters , calls, nothing does the trick. They keep telling me I have to come in to the gym to cancel my membership even though I live more than an hour away

I know i signed up for 2 years membership but i stopped going to the gym since last July because of my back problem. I got back spasm a few years back when i was in New York and since then it has not been the same. I thought i can go back to the gym and do light exercise to stay fit but it got so bad that i have to stop. I called up the gym and see if they can give me an exception and explain my situation but the guy had no sympathy. Even though he saw on records i havent been to the gym since last July and with my explanation but there is nothing he can do because i signed a contract. He wanted me to go get a doctor note. He thinks we can just go to the doctor anytime we want and get a note without making appointment, and maybe wait for a month or two to get an appointment. The trouble just to go through this to cancel something that is legit is just so hard for me to accept. I hardly write a review on anything, but i feel so strongly about this that i had to give them a bad review. Also the gym is not worth $29.99 for 2 years contract. The only thing i ever used at this gym was the elliptical and maybe 3 other machines because of my back. I guess the lesson learn here is that if you have a medical condition, dont sign up for 2 years membership.

This is the only gym that managed to make me stay a member for over a year now. Besides the great facilities and affordable rates, the staff are really nice and supportive. I’m never transferring anywhere else.

Great gym...chock full of classes, professional trainers and a great all- inclusive monthly fee. You will definitely love this fitness club. Like no other I have seen at a star 6 level. Very clean, employees are professional and friendly.

Friday, Oct 20 @ 11AM after hearing a slew of metal music was taken to my limit with a song: "kill, kill, kill." I went to the front desk to ask if they could put on something less aggressive. I got the dead eye from the young woman. The young man asked one hat I wanted. He changed the music while speaking in a dismissive tone that that music is played at all the gyms. I would not hire either of them at my business. Customer service score for her a zero, for him a 1 for helping me, though begrudgingly.

The cleanest gym in the industry! Professional, polite, friendly staff, awesome machines, it’s never packed because it’s big, there is no waiting time to use equipment. Clean lockers, bathrooms and sauna.
Excellent management.
Membership fees are half or less than other local gyms, which I personally visited or was a member of, and are not better nor cleaner than the Fit.

Well-equipped gym with a broad selection of classes. Classes do not require a reservation and are small enough to enable the trainers to focus on you and your form. Members range from newbies to pro and there is no feeling of anyone being judgemental.

I have been a member of many fitness centers/gyms dating back to Holiday Spa in the basement of what is now the Towson mall, to Fit Gym now. Location changes have had me at well over 6 different gyms over the years.
Fit! offers a wide variety of classes, an abundance of free weights, machines (well maintained), and space to pursue whatever fitness goal you may have. The gym is laid out well, and has huge additional space next door (accessible through the main gym, as well as it's own front door) where they have larger classes, and hold HIIT classes. The classes, for the most part are free. There are a couple classes that require an additional fee (HIIT Class included), but that's kind of how it is. The HIIT class is great though and worth every penny.
Over the years you will see a high staff turnover rate in gyms like this. While Fit! is not exempt from this either, I have been a member for well over year, and the core staff remains. They are friendly and courteous. They greet you with a smile and a 'hello' when you come in and wish you a good day when you leave. That may seem like small potatoes to some, but it's a big deal to me. I have seen reviews here where people complain that staff are inattentive or not engaged. I COMPLETELY disagree. Yes, they are at the front desk for the most part, but we are adults and lifting safely is not rocket science, nor are they babysitters. Let's face it most of us don't want to be bothered once we get into our routine, whatever that may be. That said, when I have asked for help and some expertise from the staff they were quick to help, informative, and one on one. The gym is kept clean, and machines are maintained. There is an annual fee of $29.99 (I could be a little off) that is used for maintenance of the equipment. I have no problem with that!
Now onto the atmosphere, LOL! We all know gyms can be the fitness version of a night club. I am not much of a socialite, but that doesn't seem to be the case at Fit! The people at the gym are generally very friendly, and for some, like family. It can be as social as you want it to be. However, the gym floor is not a clique, so much that you would ever feel like you just walked into a private social club, and were the newbie on the scene.
There are other clubs that are much more expensive and may offer more. Fit! is perfect for me, I lift, I do cardio, and it allows me to relieve stress from my day at work. The cost is extremely reasonable, and the hours are great. You want to get huge and lift crazy heavy weight, you can do it here, you want to just tone, and stay in shape, you can do that as well.
If your deciding on a place to pursue your fitness and health goals, I hope this review helps with that decision.

Nice gym, helpful staff at the front desk, etc. BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE CONTRACT! My wife and I joined the gym after a trial membership we bought on Groupon. We were planning on moving out of Towson within a year of joining and we didn't want to commit to a contract. We explained this to the guy who was helping us and were assured repeatedly that we wouldn't be under contract, that we would be month-to-month and could cancel anytime. This assurance was the key factor in our decision.
We were never shown a contract. We were asked to sign a little digital pad by the register and were told that it was "terms and conditions". At this point, my wife asked what the terms and conditions were for, because again- WE WERE NEVER SHOWN OR INFORMED ABOUT A CONTRACT- and were told that it had to do with authorization for automatic billing, acceptance of the gym's policies, receipt of our key fobs for entry, etc.
Fast forward to June of this year, we go to cancel our membership because we moved to Columbia. I called the gym, the person I spoke to said they'd need a letter stating my intent to cancel, sent via certified mail. I sent the letter, called a few days later to make sure that they got it, was informed that they got it, my membership was cancelled and I'm good to go. I make it a few more weeks before I get my CC statement- two charges from Fit! Gym. I called and find out that I was being charged because I am still under a contract until September! My wife calls and is emailed a copy of the contract, signed by me. Remember those "terms and conditions"? Surprise, it was really a contract! I'm on the hook for about $60 a month for a gym that's 35 miles away until September. To add insult to injury, I was charged a total of $114 this month because they included their "annual fee" (something else not disclosed to us when we joined).

TL;DR- The gym is nice. The gym's business practices that border on being deceptive are not. Ask to see a copy of their paperwork before signing anything from Fit! Gym.

Best gym I've been to in the area by a wide margin. I have floated around different gyms in the Baltimore area and the only other one that comes close for the price is golds gym, but it's too far south to drive to. Best gym in north Baltimore for sure. Clean and awesome selection of equipment. If you like weight lifting this is the place.

I've been to quite a few gyms, and this one has it's pros and cons

Pros
-They have many facilities. They have a ton of equipment that a lot of other gyms dont have, including HIIT equipment, A Studio made just for HIIT, etc.
-They recently upgraded their weights and machines and I do appreciate the nicer things in life.
-The monthly no contract prices are pretty sweet for students! 25 a month. Simple.
-Friendly Staff

Cons
-None of the water fountains work, ever haha.
-The gym environment can be quiet sometimes. I like to see people getting a good workout, it can be extra motivation

To sum it up, It's a nice gym and if you live close by, it will suit your needs. However, it doesn't have anything that pops out that makes me want to go out of my way to come here. Cool experience though.

Staff is unintelligent and argumentative. Staff also does not know how to handle situations pertaining to children or gym cleanliness. Not worth the money what soever for this sub par, filthy, atrocious gym. They also are behind a phishing scheme collecting additional money from unwilling customers. Watch out. Bullies behind the front desk and behind the management. I'm curious to see if they have this comment deleted or not. We shall just to wait to find out whether justice and truth prevails over authoritarian treatment.

I love this gym! Been a member for about 4 months and it's great! I do the student month-to-month rate, which is perfect for any student's tight budget. I get access to everything that members have access to, including the workout area, cardio theater, classes, and more! I love the fitness classes! They really motivate me to go when I have a busy week with school. This is a great gym for everyone!
