Since I’ve been coming to this gym I’ve not only gained muscle and strength but I’ve learned how to workout properly with my professional trainers! Julieanne and Asya know what they are doing. They are very supportive, knowledgeable, sensitive to my situation and informative. They know when to push me and ease up. They have supported me during my journey and have prepared me for my upcoming surgery. I am truly thankful for them both and couldn’t have gotten to the point of where I am now without them! I am so glad I found this gym and highly recommended it to anyone looking to improve their fitness and health.

I joined Fitness Together a couple of months ago. It was difficult to make the investment in myself and my health, but it has been so worthwhile!

After you join, you get paired with a primary trainer. I have the great pleasure of working with Asya, who pushes me to get stronger, ensures that I work out with great form, and keeps me accountable on the things I need to do outside of the gym to improve my health.

The training regimen is thoughtfully structured, with 6 week sprints of 3 exercise routines before you have an assessment of your progress (sit & reach, push ups, plank, vO2 Max, body measurements, etc.) then enter a new sprint. Each program is tailored to your goals.

Fitness Together is also very flexible if you need to reschedule your session. They send out notices with open spots, communicate promptly via text and email, and have worked with me to find a consistent schedule that works. While I really enjoy working with Asya, I know I'll be in good hands with any of the other trainers on staff as well (have worked with 4 of the 6 trainers, and all have been great).

Would highly recommend joining if you are trying to improve your health. It's been great to see & feel the progress I've made in a short time.

I finally found a program I can stick to with consistency. Working with my trainer, Julianne, holds me accountable. She makes working out fun, pushes me to work harder than I would on my own, while also listening to me when I am not 100%, making adjustments to the day’s routine. I’ve been going to Fitness Together for a year now, and it has been instrumental to turning my life around. Before I discovered them, I suffered from numerous unhealthy habits developed to cope with mounting stressors from chronic injury and collapsing relationships. I was binge eating and I had felt terrible in my skin, having been the heaviest I’d ever been, and every day, moving felt like advancing the timer on how much my body had left to give. I also fell into a period of self destruction with a dependence on substances.

What I found at Fitness Together was a genuine, non-judgmental and progress-oriented interest from the staff, in not just my “physical fitness”, but in my overall well-being. I quickly understood that the key to escaping my low point was a difficult but rewarding perspective shift to look at the way I live and try to set myself up for success everyday. The number of aspects going into this was overwhelming at first, but what helped was the immense patience shown by the staff and particularly my main trainer, Julianne.

Julianne is incredibly kind and energetic, yet still just as strong in her focus. The programs she’s designed for me have all been rewarding in different ways and I never feel nervous about what she has in store for me. And just as importantly, while I always felt various degrees of disappointment in myself for failing to meet health goals here and there at home, I never felt afraid to be honest with her about my negative progress. Never once was I made to feel bad for making mistakes, nor encouraged to scold myself. At the same time, I was always sternly reminded, through thoughtful discussions and checkins, of the impact that my decisions had on my own wellbeing, to make sure I understood that I was doing myself a disservice if I made excuses. I appreciated this, because it gave me the autonomy and the big picture I needed to accept the right decisions for myself, rather than someone just telling me to make them.

After a year of ups and downs in my daily life, but still committing to show up as much as I could, I am down 20lbs and am much happier with myself in the mirror. My strength has reached new heights as I can now perform certain lifts at over 100lbs, and some even above my bodyweight! I no longer feel like moving around in my home is a burden, and I have improved my reliance on home cooking and am making huge progress in cutting my takeout habits. My chronic strain injuries have mostly vanished, and I have many new strategies for addressing them when they occasionally resurface. I can enjoy life again without feeling like my body is working against me.

Their definition of accountability is gracious, just providing consistent, unyielding encouragement to get back to the right habits and to walk away from the ones that are holding you back. I’ve been really happy with my health progress here and I find the environment and energy of the team is just the right combination for me to look forward to coming in every week!

When you walk in the door, you are greeted by name, and they even gave me a balloon for my birthday. You aren't going to a gym, you're joining a family.

I've only been attending 6-7 weeks, and I'm happy with my decision and investment. The personal attention to my health goals is exactly what I needed. The training sessions are appropriately challenging and specific to you. The trainers give instructions for proper form to avoid injury and encouragement to finish the set and build on your success. My work schedule is irregular and so I have worked with most of the trainers. Thank you to Asya, Tony, Julianne, Sam, Luke, and the conductor of the orchestra Devin. (I haven't met Blaise but I certain he's fabulous too!)

Training with Asya is fun and I trust her. Been going to her for two years I believe. I have had rotator cuff surgery done initially and then I had issues with my back prior to coming to her. She worked with me to ensure that I did exercises going forward safely. We are currently working on an exercise program and incorporating calorie intake. I started training at Fitness Together nearly 6 months ago to improve my fitness and get better at my pickleball game and rock climbing. I've taken on these active hobbies to counteract my previous sedentary lifestyle and to prevent future health issues like heart disease and diabetes. The training programs and coaching are methodical and have allowed me to safely meet my fitness goals. My pickleball opponents are demoralized and there are way fewer walls that I can't climb. I am so happy to have found Fitness Together studio! From my first sessions, I have felt that every trainer listens to my goals and concerns, then tailors the program to fit where I am on my fitness journey. I have been going to Fitness Together for 4 years & love the place! The studio is clean, cheerful, and has full range of exercise equipment - both aerobic & strength training. The trainers are personable, fun, and highly qualified to develop a fitness plan to meet each client's needs and goals. During the training sessions, the trainers give clients feedback on their performance of each exercise and encourage them to 'push a little harder' to improve outcomes. There are occasional studio- wide 'Fitness Challenges' with small prizes to those who participate & meet the challenge goals. Although each client had set days & times for their training session, the team is always willing to be flexible with rescheduling to other available time slots. They really strive to make fitness & strength training fun!

The facility, owner, trainers, and my workout program are great. I joined FT because I wanted to be healthier and get in shape. I've tried working out on my own but I would injure myself because I didn't know what I was doing or I would give up due to the lack of motivation. I'm not sure what I expected when I joined but this was one of the best things I've done for myself in a long time. Never in my life did I think I'd be lifting weights! I’ve been a Fitness Together client for over ten years, and I’ve always appreciated the skills, background and intelligence of the trainers. I’ve worked with at least seven different trainers, and they’ve all been highly skilled and attentive.

Since Devin Zahor took over the franchise, the quality of the trainers has gotten even better. I’ve now worked with three of them, and they’re great — as is Devin if he handles my workout. I’ve been working with Sam for around 80% of my workouts, and he’s wonderful. His own form for demonstrations is very impressive, and he has a wonderful ability to identify and teach form improvement. His knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, including exercise and stretching modifications for injury and other limitations, is beyond impressive. I would recommend him absolutely without reservation.

My FT experience has definitely made a positive difference in my life!

The staff are knowledgeable, positive and courteous. My personal trainer is flexible in switching to alternate exercises if I have an injury, and keeps progressing my routines as my fitness increases. Setting and tracking goals for six week periods keeps my motivation up. I'm seeing good results that I wouldn't have achieved on my own or just from videos. The trainers at Fitness Together in Ellicott City are some of the best I've ever worked with. Week after week the workouts are challenging, and I never get bored. In a very short time I've seen amazing results. The facility is top-notch, and the equipment is clean and very well-maintained. Prior to coming to FT, I worked out at a large, high-end gym in Columbia. Although this gym offers a variety of classes and programs, there is no comparison to the personal attention you get from the FT trainers. I can also schedule my workouts to fit into my busy life, which makes it much easier for me to stick to my commitment to getting in shape. Thanks FT for being exactly what I need!

Fitness Together is a wonderful place to workout and to get into better overall shape. 

Although many people join to lose weight, this is not the sole focus of the gym. Overall health is.

I have been working out there for a very long time. At one time I was overweight because I wasn't ready to commit myself to modifying my eating patterns. Even though I did not lose weight during that time, working out made me a stronger, calmer person. At my annual physicals, all the markers for good health were great, indicating that the working out had more benefits than just weight loss.

When I decided to commit myself to losing weight, my trainer was very supportive, taking measurements, calculating BMI, etc. on a regular basis. There is now a nutrition component offered to further assist clients in improving their health.

If you have any physical difficulties that would require special attention during workouts, this is the place to come. I have some problems with my knees and also my back. My trainer designs my workout plan with this in mind making sure all muscle groups get appropriately exercised while not unduly stressing vulnerable areas. If I feel a particular exercise is over-stressing my knees or back, she listens to me and makes changes. (Without accusing me of whining!) This is definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach.

One of the best things about Fitness Together is the positive atmosphere. All the trainers are friendly, enthusiastic and supportive. Clients can work out with one trainer or several different ones, whatever is best for them. It is obvious that the entire staff works as a team keeping the clients’ goals and best interests front and center.

Joining Fitness Together, located in Ellicott City, Maryland, is the single BEST thing I’ve done for myself in the last 18 months. The trainers are not only certified trainers; they have degrees in physiology related fields. The workout gyms are state-of-the-art and immaculately clean.
Having one-on-one weight and fitness training has been the best workout experience of my life and I have a lot to compare it with --- I have had memberships in many gyms, i.e., Bally’s, Curves and various exercise classes, all with the same result ---- little or NO improvement in my strength or conditioning.
I believe the lack of improvement was due in large part to the fact that in those environments I received little or no supervision or guidance. Since I started working with a terrific Fitness Together trainer I have gone from “osteopenia” bone density – back to “normal” bone density, I have been able to stop taking two medications, and by maintaining my improved conditioning I will soon be able to stop taking medication for elevated blood pressure.
The training experience has been phenomenal -- the trainer focuses only on ME, assesses my form, and provides me immediate feedback. This has helped me improve my ability to train and achieve results which has improved my self confidence enormously. Regularly, we re-evaluate my goals. Monthly we have group meetings with other folks being trained, and we discuss nutrition, our challenges, and share our successes. I believe training at Fitness Together has added quality to my days, and should add years to my life. Thank you Fitness Together Team! Beth

As a middle aged overweight woman, going to a gym was torture !!! Then I met Joan and Felicia at Fitness Together and my world changed !!!! They are wonderful and my trainer Duanita is the very best !!!!
