Had my first class today at foundry fitness and it was AMAZINGGG. My boyfriend and I went and as a beginner I felt a little scared I would get it right away but Eric(owner) made sure to give me reassurance if I was doing anything incorrectly or could do it better. He also makes sure to provide alternative exercises if I couldn’t exactly do the “harder” ones, so I didn’t feel left out and could continue my exercise. Everyone was super nice and and supportive. Once our schedule clears up, we definitely plan on signing up. Please try even as a beginner, you won’t regret it and you”ll come out feeling strong and empowered!

Very good place! Game-changer for me. Best instructor ever, always seeing that you feel comfortable and that you know what you are doing during the training pass. I had the trial pass and I am seeing forward to join up soon

Foundry Fitness has been a game-changer for me. I did F45 for over a year, but I’ve seen more progress in just one month here. The workouts are super effective, and the coaches are easygoing and supportive. They really work with you to make sure you’re getting the most out of every session. Highly recommend!

The best workout class, hands down! Eric and the trainers are amazing, they spend time teaching form, and we have yet to do the same workout twice. After the first few humbling classes when we realized we were not as in shape as we thought, my husband and I kept coming back and we love it. Classes are filled with people of all different athletic abilities, and we feel healthier and stronger!

As much as I want to like this place, I can't find any. First of all I walk everyday for at least 30 thousands or more steps so I'm not a sloucher and I'm not overweight either I tried several times to speak with the staff at the gym however everytime I see someone there they either training or cleaning up. And if they cleaning up after the training they keep telling me to come back another day. So anyway i decided to try to test the class through ClassPass. So I came early 10 minutes before the class start and still unable to get any information at all other than just sign the release form and join the class Boy it was quite an experience it's like a non swimmer being pushed into deep end of the pool and expect you to swim. So if you are beginner I would say NO don't try the class. The classes seem more of endurance type of class or what I call it orange theory with steroid. I wish they have more beginner classes and explain what to expect for the first timer.

Dropped into two classes while I was on travel and this is one of the best gyms I have been to. Trainers were awesome, gym had a ton of equipment, and workout routines were challenging. If I lived in the area I would definitely join this gym.

Not a review of the gym itself, but the folks who work there. :) They participated in the Kentlands Trick or Treat this year giving stickers and things to kids, and it was super cool of them. My kiddo was really little and was amazed/shocked to see Batman in person. She now says "Batman lives in the Kentlands!" when we are there. Thanks for participating in that for the local community, it was a cool thing to do!

Going back. It's so great and effective. Tried for 2 months prior to our marriage and It helped not gain more weight. Now that festivities are over, we're returning.
Be ready to sweat. It's fast paced and encouraging. First few days were torture for us because we were not used to the intensity but it gets better with time. I had to learn to pace myself since the first 2 times almost put me into Rhabdo.
I love that the trainers help modify based on my capability. Will update based on progress

This is where you want to be if you care about your physical fitness. The workouts can be intense, especially in the beginning, but there is no substitute for hard work! Friendly people, clean gym.

Love this place! It feels like you are getting a personal training session but you have the support of a group fitness class. All the trainers are super talented, I am trying to get back after baby and even though I am not in as good shape I don’t feel intimidated everyone is very supportive! You can completely make your workout as challenging as you need. So glad I found this place!

Go. What are you waiting for? Don't be like me and put it off. I have watched people work out at Foundry Fitness for years. My neighbors told me that I would like it, but I always assumed that I was not in good enough shape and would be embarrassed. I piddled around on the treadmill and the stair-master on my own, thinking I was doing well. Finally, I attended a free class and realized what I was missing. The instructors are the best part of the place and really the reason I keep going back. They are always in a good mood (even at 5:15 am) and really great at helping you improve (whether you are in great shape or like me and have a ways to go). The hour-long classes work on both cardio and strength. For people like me who cannot yet do everything, they suggest alternative activities to help you progress until you can do more. For those that are in great shape, they push them to do more. They have something for everyone no matter what your fitness level is. Go.

I love this place. The transformation I've seen in my body shape and my strength is incredible. It's like personal training in a group atmosphere. Don't wait to "lose weight" to start, there are all shapes and sizes of people there and we know we are all in it together! The trainers, all of them, are awesome; they are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and inspiring. The place is spotless and membership is VERY reasonable, as well. I didn't think HIIT was for me after trying several other programs, but this is the place. I hardly miss a day. Try it! First class is free!

I've been going to Foundry Fitness since January of 2014 and the promise that Eric made that first day has come through, "If you come and work hard, you will improve". While I'm by no means one of the advanced folks that come to the workouts I can see that weight has been lost and my endurance and strength have improved. Hell, I was able to do a proper pull up on my own for the very first time since high school. Yes, that is "a" pull up, hopefully next week I can do 2.
Eric and the rest of the staff are awesome. I've had sessions with them all and each person is unique but every workout has been fun, hard, and worth it.
They focus on proper form and will come around to help fix individual people. The best thing about them is their ability to provide you with alternative workouts if you have issues due to injury or lack of ability. There have been times after a long run where my knees and shins are a bit tender so they'll adjust the exercise for me.
The majority of the workouts use your own body weight with sprinkles of dumb bells, kettle bells, heavy ropes, big weighty medicine balls, and a large tire. There hasn't been one day that has matched another.
I highly recommend coming to try them out. Even though there may be people much more fit than you, there is no elitist attitude here. Everyone is friendly and encouraging. Currently I go there about 3 times a week.

Like many others, I struggled with my overall fitness over the years and with finding the right gym, workout, etc. A couple years ago, I came across a couple of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts online and gave those a shot at home. Those workouts, while challenging and interesting at first, became repetitive and boring after a while. However, full body workouts that combined strength, agility, and cardio training piqued my interest. That interest led me to Foundry Fitness.
I looked around at various fitness offerings, including the traditional gyms, at home DVDs, and “boxes” but nothing quite appealed to me like Foundry Fitness. I did their free introductory class, joined the same day, and have not looked back since. Eric and team have a great and holistic approach to fitness that I can best describe as personal training in a group setting. Workouts combine a balance of multiple fitness approaches, including plyometric, resistance, strength, cardio, etc. Each workout is different so boredom has not been an issue. Adding to the variety and appeal is each trainer’s particular style, which often introduces some nuance to a particular movement but remains consistent with the other trainers’ and the overall Foundry approach.
Also unlike many group class gyms, the Foundry Fitness team encourages you to attend as many classes as you can/want. Again, because the workouts vary day-to-day, recovery is not really an issue. I started at three times a week and have since increased to five times a week . . . perhaps because of increased endurance or faster recovery but I think it's mostly because I started to see results within a couple weeks of joining. In fact, I think my wife noticed too as she joined a few weeks later.
Finally, everyone at Foundry Fitness from Eric (the owner and head trainer) to Cherine, Tungi, Brittany, and Pierre (the trainers) to the members foster a unique community feel that makes it fun to show up and push yourself both physically and mentally. Members are of all shapes, sizes, and ability. Foundry’s “personal training” approach accounts for this member diversity. The trainers will always modify movements to individual ability whether it be due to experience, strength, or injury. In fact, I have old shoulder and knee injuries and each trainer will always offer a modification to ensure I’m not at risk of re-injury. Your health and staying injury-free are always the team’s top priorities. The trainers are also available for personal training, which I’ve recently taken advantage of by working with Eric. Sure it’s going to cost more $ but I’ve found it was worth it to get a deeper focus on some particular areas of need. And besides . . . the combination of lots of available class times and the affordable monthly price make the overall investment in my own fitness and health well worth it.
I highly recommend Foundry Fitness to anyone interested in trying a unique and fun way to get into or stay in shape.

Signing up for Foundry Fitness has been one of the best decisions of my life. I have lost a little over 40 pounds in just four months thanks to the very experienced trainers and encouraging classmates. Not only did I lose weight and gain muscles here at Foundry, I have acquired more confidence in myself and have become more driven in the other activities I am involved in.
Eric, the owner, has assembled a fantastic group of dedicated friendly trainers who are all equally excited to see everyone improve. Each one of them checks every participant for good form to prevent injuries while encouraging everyone to push harder to make the most out of their workout.
Currently there are a total of 38 classes throughout the week, each class running around 1 hour daily, some starting 6am and the last ending at 8pm to accommodate anyone's schedule, which leaves absolutely no excuse for anyone to skip! What I like most about the classes is that each class is always unique and that they contain a combination of weights and cardio exercises. It all depends on what you want from the workout. For example if you want to work on your cardio you can use lighter weights and keep up the routine taking fewer breaks. If you want to only work on weights, you can use heavier weights and go at a slower pace.
Because everyone's fitness level is different, the routines are designed to be manageable for beginners and can be strenuous even for the very fit. You simply go at your own pace. For example a routine requires a set number of reps for one particular exercise. A beginner may try their best to reach half the amount of reps while the veterans may push to do more than is required. The goal for everyone is to complete each exercise routine and eventually complete it using either heavier weights or do more reps in the given amount of time.
As my fellow participants have stated below, everyone is in this together. Both beginners and advance athletes will have a great workout doing the same exercise routine and will bond over experiencing similar pains while mastering old exercises and learning new ones. It has been a remarkable 4 months since joining Foundry. I am excited to see where my physical and mental state will be in the coming months! I highly recommend signing up for anyone who wants to improve their quality of life!

I love Foundry Fitness and highly recommend them for all age and fitness levels. Even though I've been an occasional gym user for decades, I am not athletic and I don't really like gyms. The Foundry Fitness staff emphasizes the ‘fitness’ part and they customize workouts based on their client’s needs. I’m in the shadow of 60 but I don’t look it and I want to stay that way. Eric the owner is my trainer and has designed workouts based on my need to improve balance and stamina and work through some injuries from 20 years ago. In my first seven months, I am hitting those goals and I regularly get compliments on how good I’m looking lately. Sign up now. They have group classes too. It’s worth it.

Foundry Fitness is not like any traditional gym that I have been to in the past. I have struggled with my weight and get easily bored by the monotony of what traditional gyms offer however, at Foundry nothing is ever the same. I would best describe it as having a personal training session that in group setting. I am recovering from a broken ankle injury and still have been able to find my pace and not feel too intimidated by the type of workouts because the amazing trainers will modify the type of exercise that is being done in the class based on your fitness levels. The workouts vary from jump rope, to going up and down stairs, push up, pull ups, using dumb bells, jumping jacks and the list goes on and on. Although that may sound scary it is fun and gives you the feeling of great accomplishment especially after you are done with the workout.
The owner Eric, trainers Brittany, Tungi, Pierre and Cherine are all amazing. They all make time during the sessions to work with everybody on a one on one basis as much as they can whether it is a personal training session on a group session ensuring that everybody is doing their workouts correctly to avoid any injuries. The members of the gym whether they are beginners or advanced are very encouraging and friendly which gives a family sense of community. This is a place where one can say that you are able to work hard with challenging workouts while having fun. It is very rewarding and worth it.

I can't say enough great things about Foundry Fitness! I am 4'11 and have always had to watch my diet and exercise. After years of aimlessly walking around gyms and seeing minimal results, I finally found a gym and class model that I can stick with! I've lost 26lbs since October (7 months) and am in the best shape of my life. But, more importantly, I had a blast doing it! The classes and personal training sessions are dynamic and constantly changing to challenge both beginner and advanced members.
Eric, Tungi, Cherine and all of the trainers are fantastic. They keep you motivated and push you to your physical limits. Best of all, is the family dynamic. This is not the type of gym where you put on headphones, ignore everyone else around you, and crank out 30 minutes on an elliptical. Everyone works together whether it be through partner exercises or commiserating over how sore they are!
Foundry Fitness will transform you both mentally and physically!
