I had my daughter's 7 year old birthday party here. It was great! They let me come a few minutes early to set up, had activities ready for the kids to do and helped us clean up. The kids were engaged the whole time and parents commented how organized and smoothly it ran. I highly recommend this gym!

I was only there for one week, but coach James was so welcoming! I let him know I was visiting from out of town so it was obvious I wasn't going to sign up for a membership. Despite this, he still took time to make sure my form was good and that I got great workouts in! If I'm ever back in town, I will definitely come by again! I can't say enough good things about this place and highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

I can’t believe I had not reviewed this gym before. I have only visited this place twice. The coaching and programming was excellent, pretty bummed I hadn’t heard about this Box before wasting time at a couple of other gyms. I am not a member here, but this is the ONLY gym I would consider joining if something were to happen at my current CrossFit Box ( where I am really happy) I was visiting my friend and the owner was amazing, you can tell he takes pride in his gym and making sure his coaches are the best! The way the gym is laid out is genius. The space and all of it! I also really like how they had a question of day. It’s a great way to get to know your members and have them interact with one another. If you are looking for a great community, solid coaching, and fantastic facility!

I have been doing personal training sessions for the past month with Wylen here, it honestly has been great, I started out here & have improved so much! At first it was tough getting to the end of workouts & by the few couple workouts in the end I was able to complete them & feel so much better & stronger— It has been a tremendous help getting back into working out & having someone keeping me accountable as well as helping me use the weights & doing the exercises properly which is what i needed ✨ so grateful & so excited for my fitness journey to continue thanks to these sessions & a great trainer! lt seriously helped me level up in my fitness journey & appreciated how we made every session count!

Great traditional CrossFit box, complete with gym dog! Upon arrival, coaches & athletes were super warm and inviting. Equipment is assorted for each person, so there’s no issue with not having what you need. Programming seems on point since the WOD was your quintessential CF movements. This gym has amazing staff and the community is one of the most supportive groups of people you can ever find. When I had found this gym, it was because my wife wanted to get back into shape. She had done CrossFit before, but I had no experience with it. I wasn’t really sure about it at first since I had never even worked out at a gym like this before, but everyone helped me out. They made me feel at home and really taught me the fundamentals before they let me run. I grew so much in just 10 months mentally and physically because the coaches always respectfully push you. The owner Butch is also very understanding in unexpected situations that arise.
There are just so many wonderful things about this gym, I would recommend it to anyone.

As someone who has historically had a love-hate-relationship with fitness, I feel as though this gym has inspired me to enjoy working out again! Butch is so infectiously passionate about crossfit that you can’t help but give each workout your all. Both the trainers as well as other gym-goers, are all super patient, welcoming, and understanding, fostering an environment of comfort and trust! I was in town for a week and I had the opportunity to drop in at Wrecking Room. I usually like to hit up as many gyms as I can when I travel but I enjoyed this gym so much I worked out there all week. The coaches deliver great timely feedback and the athletes are a tight knit community that made me feel at home. I will be back when I visit again!

Everyone is so friendly, I love this gym! The gym members are so nice; the owners and coaches are amazing! They will meet you where you are at and work with you to reach your goals. You can go at your own pace/intensity level and the coaches are able to help modify workouts to fit your needs and abilities. I was able to continue working out through my entire pregnancy by modifying the workouts. You have to start somewhere so you might as well start here!

It’s not often you find a gym that inspires and encourages you as much as Wreck room Crossfit does. The coaches are so supportive and have the educational background in sports conditioning. You also receive the necessary personalized attention when you begin your workout. I may never be able to do so of the things but, I get a lot of inspiration from the people around me to keep going. So I do. Highly recommend joining Glen Burnie Wreck Room Crossfit if for no other reason but to put a good sweat in and have some fun doing it.

I was encouraged to try Wreck Room CrossFit in the Linthicum/Glen Burnie Area. This was to help me meet a goal of daily exercise going forward in life. I was able to join for the 1-week trial. Only two days into the trial and I am really encouraged by the Coaches! The workouts change daily and give you the cardio and strength training needed. You surely feel the workout as you leave and mine was with slight modification and less reps. I cannot say enough good things about the people I have met, bot those attending/working out and coaching. Fellow gym members and Coaches alike encourage and build up. Would like to specifically point out Butch, who has been very responsive and helpful, each day, as questions come up. He was there to great me and help learn their process/program the first day. Today I had a very patient coach, Megan. I was not doing well with picking up a very simple process, so Megan saw the struggle and offered a modification. Megan was encouraging and patiently gave me the same directions until I was able to grasp. It is a challenge for me normally to join a gym, being introverted. However, they sure do make you feel comfortable, whatever level you are at with your fitness goals.

I came in for an inbody scan to baseline how much muscle I have, and how much I should be eating. I had a great conversation with Butch about it, and then tried out their 1 week trial! The gym was nice and clean, and everyone I met there was incredibly nice. It's a bit far of a commute for me, but I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Thanks Butch for being my first exposure to CrossFit! It was a great experience.

I’ve been at Glen Burnie Fitness and Nutrition for over two years and love it there! My husband and teenager have also joined. The workouts are different and challenging every day, and I leave class feeling accomplished. Whatever your fitness level, there is a scaling option. I also recommend the teen class! They have fun, and it’s a great in-between-sports activity. The BEST part is the people- everyone is encouraging and coaches are great!!

Great workouts - vary every day. 3 years of attendance, I can say I am stronger and fitter than I have been in decades. The friendly supportive coaches are the best! I recently joined this gym and cannot be happier. I was a little bit nervous as I am new to CrossFit but that nervousness quickly went away. Butch and the rest of his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and awesome. I have learned a lot in the first few weeks and now know that every exercise can be modified to work for you! For example: I cannot do pullups but there are alternate exercises that get those same muscles working in hopes that one day I can accomplish them!
All of the members have been very welcoming and the staff makes sure that they are providing tips throughout the workout to ensure you are doing each and every exercise properly and safely. The gym is extremely clean and they are adhering to all Covid requirements. I look forward to attending many more classes. They offer a free trial class so come check it out! =)

Love working out here! They push you to succeed, without making you feel like you're failing. There's always a modification if you can't pull off a certain exercise (ugh pull ups.) I started working out here to help me stay fit through pregnancy (and to get a hold of those Covid calories) and it is the highlight of my week!

So far I have been a wreck room crossfit member for 3 1/2 month. The coaches there are awesome because they aren't machines bent on Your destruction. They watch how you work out and assess some of your limitations. They let you know if you should scale down exercises or when to start pushing your self a bit more. Best part is that they aren't pompes muscle heads that yell at you and make you feel uncomfortable. One example is an exercise called toes to bar which they know everyone can't do so you can do the alternate. Last night the coach gave me pointers to progress toward being able to do the toes to bar. Best part is they teach you everything you need to know about how to perform each exercise. Beyond the coaches the members come from all walks of life and different levels of fitness. No one is stuck up and jokes are thrown around daily which make some hard exercises feel more fun. As you all know we live in a covid world but the set up at the gym feels like they put a lot of thought into your safety. They have a large designated area for you work out (giant square). You have to wash your hand as you come in and when not in you Square you have to use your mask. BUTCH gives you and sit down and an evaluation. He talked to me about my goals on loosing weight and the importance of water. He recommended other services but didn't try and over sell it. Look its crossfit so its intense at times regarding the workouts but i consider most of there workouts to be high intensity so i went in with that mindset. Just give it 100% and you really can't go wrong. I started going there weighing 270 (6'2ft tall) and am now 243 working to a goal of 220. Diet plays a huge role but exercise is a major part of it to. Also when I first started I was doing 2 times a week and now am up to 4 times a week.. All in all this gym is awesome and I really look forward to going everyday.

First time crossfit’er. Had some nerves about starting something new with my exercise routine (especially CrossFit) but the staff @ Glen Burnie fitness made me feel right at home. They explain everything so clearly and have really worked me through the workouts step by step. Love the atmosphere. Very clean and organized. Allison is an awesome, patient instructor. Butch did an absolutely awesome job in getting me set up on the path to success with my dieting and eating game. Within a month I've been able to drop 5.5 pounds of body fat, gain a pound of muscle, and not starving myself in the process. He showed me how to quickly and efficiently create a meal plan, grocery list, and even how to prep food in a time efficient manner. Wish I had come here sooner, but better late than never. Looking forward to losing these last 30 pounds thanks to him 👍

First, forget every stereotype you have ever heard about Crossfit. Next, leave every piece of doubt you have about "not being able to do Crossfit because it's too intense," at home. No matter your fitness level butch and the coaches make crossfit work for every athlete that walks through the door.

I have gone to Wreck Room previously, but have been away at school in FL, but made sure to get a month membership when I was home on break! The coaches are all great and the other athletes are amazing! It’s a very encouraging environment with people from all levels working out together and all working equally as hard. The coaches are great at making sure everyone has good form and to push you when you need it. I love that they incorporate cardio/endurance into the workouts as well, I’ve noticed a good amount of CrossFit gyms lack on that aspect. Nutrition is also important to Butch and he offers services on that as well. It’s really nice to have a gym that is so well rounded! I can’t wait until I’m back full time so I can be a member all year long!

I wanted to tell everyone who is thinking about trying out Crossfit to give it a try. And give it a try a wreck room. As a PE teacher lots of people say crossfit
Doesn’t teach form . Well that’s not true. Wreck room is big on form, no getting hurt and getting the best out of you.I am a petite female and the coaches are not trying to load me up with heavy weights . They offer scaling down or up workouts to each individual person. The ongoing individual coaching through out each work out is super beneficial and important to meet your goals.
I also have a very short attention span. So CrossFit is great for me. Everyday is a different workout. My goals were not to lose weight just to get stronger and in better overall shape. I am only one month in and love going as many times as I can a week. As a single mom I decided to give this a try this summer for me. And I love being a part of Wreck room this summer. Wreck room is top notch CrossFit facility . Reason to try Wreckroom CrossFit : super clean and tidy , organized facilities and workouts , caring and knowledgeable coaches . Try it you won’t regret it... plus the members are encouraging and makes you push your self to the next level.. again if gonna try CrossFit try it at Wreckroom..

Wow, what a great community! I make a habit out of finding several places to stop into when i'm traveling, but once I stumbled on Wreck Room, I stopped looking at other boxes. I have been a member at GBFN (Wreckroom) since February. In the past 10 months I’ve been fortunate enough to work with every member of their amazing coaching staff. I suffer from exercise induced asthma, plantar fasciitis, and an old knee injury. I thought those things would limit what I was able to do in a CrossFit gym. I was wrong. The coaches are always prepared to model workouts, modify individual exercises, and accommodate my needs. They are approachable, knowledgeable, and patient. I loved the Foundations classes because they helped me to feel comfortable entering the group workouts. The CrossFit classes themselves go above and beyond my expectations. The gym is a warm and welcoming environment where everyone makes you feel like family. I have worked with personal trainers and nutritionists in the past trying to manage my weight and become more active—I spent a ton of money paying for those services. This is a one stop shop for all things health related and I am saving money by paying one low monthly fee. Above all else, please know that GBFN makes their members a priority. They are organized, friendly, and supportive.

My husband and I were in town and wanted to do a drop in class. I emailed the owner and within the same day received a response that we were all set up to join a class. Butch was very kind and gave my husband and I great pointers throughout the workout. The box was clean with friendly members and a great workout. Afterwards Butch gave us some handouts he usually gives to his members regarding nutrition and encouraged us to email him with any questions. He seems like a very caring and genuine person. I came to this gym with no CrossFit experience. I met a great group of people who were kind and supportive. Butch and all the other amazing coaches create a great atmosphere and really care about the people at the gym and in the community. They will help you reach your goals. Since I moved at of the Glen Burnie area, I have not been able to find a gym with such a great vibe, it’s more than a gym. If you’re looking to try CrossFit, get fit, or just meet some great people I highly recommend checking this place out!

Very well run business! They care about the health and success of the members. I've known Butch, the owner, both personally and professionally, for over 2 decades, and this guy has the drive and passion to do good things. This place is definitely one of those 'good things'! Butch is smart, has built a great team there, and is making a difference in a lot of lives! Unfortunately I'm not a member there, but as I was there for an event a few months ago, what I saw was pretty impressive... The members were competing in teams again each other, but moreso they were competing against themselves. Most everyone I chatted with had just achieved a new personal record... Everyone pushed and motivated each other. It was fun and exciting to witness the energy and enthusiasm. Awesome place!

I've known Butch for almost 7 years, first as a crossfit coach, now as a gym owner. His coaching is excellent - he has a great eye for detail, the ability to cue verbally and an encouraging, fun vibe. All of his individual talents have transferred to the culture he has created at Glen Burnie Fitness and Nutrition. As you may know, your crossfit experience can vary widely from box to box. If you are new to crossfit, this is the perfect place for you - you'll feel welcome, safe, challenged but not intimidated. If you are seasoned, Butch and his team will make sure you get a run for your money. Best spot in the area by far!

I’ve been a member of Wreck Room for almost two months now. It is challenging but I really love it. The coaches and members are incredibly supportive and encouraging. I have been a member for almost a year now and I love it. All the coaches are great. They keep eyes on you to make sure you are safe when you’re doing crossfit. I live in Annapolis, md and I don’t mind driving 37 minutes to get to the gym and I will not change to a different gym because I don’t think there is a good gym like wreck room!

Amazing gym. I started three years ago, I have been a part of the gym at my best. I have been able to nurse ankle injuries and still modify workouts. I had to take time off and come back as a beginner. This gym has worked with me through all my personal goals. People and coaches are great and accommodating. Haven't lifted a barbell since high school gym class, I graduated in 2000 and took gym class as a freshman... I have to admit that I was skeptical in going to CrossFit after seeing the beasts on the Crossfit Games. But that was before I met the owner, Butch, who ensured me that his gym wasn’t “that” type. Being older than most of the members, I was nervous that I’d be the Achilles heal in the classes as I’ve never worked out. This couldn’t be further from reality. Not only were the coaches extremely supportive, but then members were equally positive. It’s an incredible environment and I’d highly recommend no matter you age or abilities. Don’t worry, with enough effort, you’ll get the results you desire.
