I mostly take the group classes. The instructors are the best, especially Kelly. The only negative I have regarding this club is they consolidated all of the classes to one room. The classes are very popular and by consolidating all classes to one room, it has caused a chaotic transition between classes. Ironically, the huge space that once housed the yoga room remains empty and unused.

Gold gym is the perfect place for me use for my rehabilitation process I use the exercise bikes to follow up the exercises I do in rehab I use leg extensions for building up my thigh muscles and the hamstring machine to build up my hamstring muscles and the calf machine to build up my calf muscles 💪

Home away from home. If they paid me to work out instead of charging me I'd just keep my clothes here too! Staff is helpful. People respect your space. Everyone I've seen here actually works out. Very few sit on the machines with their phones out. Even fewer interrupt your set when you have on your face of focus.. Gold's is always expanding! I’d say this gym could easily be a 3/4 star place because most of the machines do work fine. But the biggest problem is the odor. It’s honestly unbearable. When you’re trying to do cardio, the smell is so bad that it completely throws off your focus. It’s hard to even breathe comfortably because of it.

Another major issue is how people record their videos all the time. It’s not even just the tripods — it’s the constant filming in general. People just record everywhere, and you end up in their background without any consideration. It’s really frustrating because I don’t want to be in someone else’s video. They just need to respect people’s privacy.

Lastly, there’s the issue of weights being left on machines. A lot of times people just don’t bother to re-rack them, so you find weights scattered around or left on the equipment. It just adds to the overall inconsiderate atmosphere.

This gym stinks like STRAIGHT UP SEWAGE. The stench has been around since I joined and they're not looking to fix it. It literally smells like a sewage tunnel in the front part of the gym. It's very off putting. I'm worried whatever is leaking might be potentially leaking into the drinking water.

The equipment and staff at this gym are great and it's constantly being updated by the owner to replace worned equipment or bringing new equipment in which is very appreciated but that stench is atrocious.

I don’t know if there are enough words in the dictionary or the world to describe how much I love this gym. I am disable, a wheelchair user and with my limited mobility, I am able to use plenty of gym equipment with relative ease. I do have some issues with some equipment sometimes where I end up requiring help, but the staff and even the gym goers are always available to help when needed. The staff is kind and helpful, the community is great.

Not the best. Someone told me that this was the best goals gym on the coast and even the best in Maryland. And I didn’t see it at all. I get it, after normal business hours people stop caring. Seriously, considering changing my gym schedule to come during the day instead of at night because of the facility. There’s no reason why paper towel dispensers aren’t full, weights thrown all about all the staff isn’t doing anything and trash. The same bottles and wrappers have been in the same place for days. Be proud to come to work.

Been a member for 3 years. Got military orders and had to move away. Was gone for two weeks and they said I had to cancel in person I was out of town. Then when I went in two weeks later they said I had to do it online or during working hours. I finally figured out how to cancel and by the time I figured it out they charged me $84 for me and $84 for my wife to cancel because my annual dues were within 30 days. If it was easier to cancel I would have saved myself $168. Will never be a member of Golds gym again.

I would have joined the Golds gym where I’m moving. Not now.

I even called over a month ago to ask them hey can I schedule the cancellation and the lady at the front desk said come in person when you want to cancel the week you are leaving. Guess that was the wrong guidance.

Ive been a member for over 15 years this place has went down hill. They won't allow you to bring your older kids as guests now? or maybe we were just the example. On top of that you cant even join except for certain times.

the employees are rude and dismissive. Im canceling my membership today as a business owner in the county this is not representative of what a business should be.

I’ve been going to golds gym of Crofton off and on for years and I absolutely love it. The kids place is phenomenal. They have such a Great set up and a secure system for checking in and out! Changed gyms because it is impossible to do anything here. The equipment is poorly managed and I feel like I have to wash my hands after each time I use the equipment. There’s not a hole lot of space to do anything beyond lifting weights and using equipment — forget isometric or body weight exercises because there’s hardly any open space outside of the room where classes are held. It’s like a maze trying to get from one area to the next. The exclusive women’s area is not managed well, and half of the equipment is thrown around or haphazardly stored in a random tote. I tried to give this gym a chance but the combination of poorly managed equipment, overcrowdedness, and grimy feel to everything, I had no choice but to go to a different gym.

I loveee this gym! I haven’t been going for too long, but the variety of equipment is so good and the Lady Gold’s section (the section dedicated to women) is really something to appreciate. This is my favorite Golds. I have one 5 min from my house and drive 25 min to this one. I love that they have the equipment sectioned off by body part so you don’t have to go all over the place to workout your legs, glutes, abs, arms etc everything you need is in one area for that particular body part. The equipment is spaced out pretty well not all crammed together like the one I bypass to come here. They have such a wide variety of equipment as well. Definitely the best gym in the area!

I was a member of this gym for about 5 years before it really grew.

Great staff, clean facility, it was a great place to work out.

I returned to the area several times a year for business, and I always stop by if I'm going to be in town for at least a week to work out.

And normally I'm able to buy a week pass, but this time the pass was not available and I had to sign up for a month.

The gym is still very clean, the machines are all functional, there's a great mix of old and new and I really enjoy the older equipment.

The gym has expanded exponentially in size but the front desk staff we're still friendly and professional.

Every time I return to the area I will return to this gym to work out.

But hopefully in the future they'll have a 7-Day pass for people just traveling through town.

My friend (male) and I have been members for a few years and participate in a Saturday morning fitness class together. Last Saturday, before I arrived a few minutes late, my friend was waiting for the previous class to end and clear out of the exercise room and he was using his cell phone. A lady apparently decided that he was using his phone to photograph her and contacted the front desk, who sent two men up to confront him. My friend offered to let them look at his phone and then tried to get set up for class, but the continued hovering presence of the front desk staff and their awkward question about what he was doing as he waited for class to start drove him out of class to an elliptical, where they continued to harass him. Today, I spoke with the GM Anthony with goal of convincing him to provide the staff with some training on how to appropriately handle customer complaints. My friend should not have been assumed guilty and after offering to let them see his phone, the staff shouldn't have continued trying to bully him into leaving. Unfortunately, Anthony made it clear that he didn't care - Anthony's response was that someone will always be unhappy. I went to the BBB website to file a complaint and discovered that this Gold's has an F rating due to lack of response to previous customer complaints.

After working out at multiple gyms in Maryland including, The Annapolis Y, Foundation Fitness, Rise, etc. Gold's offers the best gym experience at the lowest price. I have only been to 3 gyms around the COUNTRY that have this much great equipment in one place. I have had a membership here for about the past 15 years I believe.

It didn’t take long until I decided to upgrade my membership to the supreme (whatever they call it - the top membership package). The amount of available/free resources and amenities is awesome. And they also remodeled and expanded significantly. I’m still discovering more and more “new” areas of more fitness activities. It’s great. Regardless of the price, it’s worth every penny.
