If you're thinking about starting yoga, I cannot recommend Grace Studios highly enough!!! I've moved away from Silver Spring and this is one of the places I miss most.

I took my very first Yoga class four or five years ago at Grace. I have always been a perfectionist, so starting new things often brings about a bit of anxiety. Not only has going to this studio given me a great base and understanding of Yoga practices, that I've used now at other studios, but it has helped me be more comfortable with trying new things and with 'failing', or as they might say playing and practicing!

Jade leads many of the beginner classes and she has such a friendly, playful, and welcoming demeanor. I'd highlyg recommend starting there. All of the instructors are lovely, but my personal favorite instructor is Sun. She emphasizes proper alignment and offers many different modifications and approaches to reach a pose -- in a way that works for your body. She focuses on building strength, connecting with your breath and developing and growing your practice in an approachable way.

I always knew the instructors here were special, but now that I've spent more time at different studios, I can fully appreciate how dedicated they are to making yoga safe and inclusive for everyone. They are incredibly encouraging and I am so grateful to them. I have been to classes where there is more focus on the appearance of a pose rather than how it feels in your body and how it is meant to strengthen or stretch. This is not the case at Grace!

Developing a regular practice has also helped my body feeling stronger, more flexible and less sore; but, it has also become an important part of keeping a positive relationship with myself and my mental health.

Finally, the classes that I've gone to developed a real community. We'd occasionally go to brunch together and swap stories about our lives. The studio is woman owned and the owners show real care not only for the students, but also for the instructors (or so I've heard).

Thank you, thank you thank you! I will miss you all quite a lot!

I have rented Grace for six years now for Yoga Therapy sessions with clients, and every time I walk into that gorgeous space I feel lucky. It is an oasis in the world because of the physical beauty of the studio and the people behind it.

Grace is a wonderful yoga/pilates studio for everyone!
I have enjoyed my membership by taking a wide variety of classes with different teachers and they are all lovely. The staff, teachers, and owners are warm, welcoming, kind, helpful, and generous.
Grace offers classes for all levels and many classes offer variations depending on what you body needs.
They also have wonderful mindfulness practices weekly that are powerful and grounding.
I highly recommend Grace!

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Grace in 2022 and I cannot recommend the course highly enough. If you're considering being a teacher or just want to deepen your understanding of all of the aspects of yoga--philosophy, poses, anatomy, breath work, meditation, diversity and inclusive teaching, yogic science and medicine, teaching styles, the business of yoga and more--this training is for you.

I was fortunate to be part of a truly amazing class of students taught by two wonderful teachers, Michele and Jade. The curriculum alone is well-rounded and challenging without being overwhelming, but the wonderful people who were part of my class made the experience transformational.

I have gone on to teach yoga as a sub at Grace and in other settings. I felt well-prepared to put my training to use and so grateful to Grace for the gift that teaching yoga has been in my life.

Great studio. I've been coming here for several years, since Sky House yoga closed down. They have a wide variety of classes with different feels and levels of challenge, and the instructors are all really knowledgeable and warm. You can really find the right balance of physical work and just feeling good that you made it to your class. The space is serene and light - and the temperature controls work GREAT. Multiple summer sessions on sweltering days, and it stays comfortable for the whole class. Highly recommend, they are so welcoming to new students too!

I have been going to Grace since 2016, and it is my happy place! There is a wide range of classes and all of the teachers are incredibly welcoming and kind. The studio has a diversity of students and teachers--age, race, body type, gender, etc. All are welcome!

I was part of the 2023-2024 Grace YTT class, and it was a life-changing experience. I signed up because I wanted to deepen my yoga practice, but I got so much more out of YTT. The classes build camaraderie and trust between teachers and students, so not only do you learn about yoga, but you also build a supportive community. The guest teachers were so helpful and made us consider so many perspectives and ideas about yoga. I finished YTT feeling confident that I could teach yoga, but also more comfortable and confident in my own practice. I highly recommend YTT to anyone who is thinking about it! It is worth it!

I've enjoyed every class and every instructor I've had here so far (been going for a few months). It's a calm and clean space and the instructors have all been great at guiding and giving cues. Absolutely check it out. Especially if you are new to yoga or feel intimidated - this is a very welcoming studio for beginners and the students range in age and ability. It's nice to look around your class and see, yoga is for anyone, yoga is for everyone.

This is a great studio. Many types of classes. They also offer a lot of core-strengthening classes. Class pricing is very competitive but, even better, they frequently offer specials. The best of all - thus studio is one of the most diverse I've been in.

I went to Grace Studios for my 200 hour YTT program and it was a great experience. I enjoyed how well they spaced out the 200 hours, so it didn't feel too overwhelming. I loved the range of styles the two teachers (Jade + Michele) brought to the lessons. As well as guest speakers that came and provided different insights and perspectives on special topics. During the months of the program, you share a lot of moments and become close to the students in the program as well. It was a great experience. 10/10.

I’ve been attending Grace regularly for the last year and highly recommend it. The space is beautiful and all staff are very welcoming to the many different types of students in attendance. I especially adore classes with Michelle, Jade, and Lauren and Amy’s strength class forces me out of my comfort zone. Try it out. You won’t be disappointed!

Simply put – Grace is incredible. After years of struggling to establish a fitness routine, I feel fortunate to have found a place that's welcoming and encouraging. Something that stands out to me is that the instructors emphasize that this is YOUR workout and they're there to guide you, which equips me with the confidence to push my limits when I am comfortable. The wide-range of classes continue to challenge me each week and have become critical to my week. I look forward to each class.

I could go on and on, but if you're new to Grace, I'd recommend the free intro class and new student unlimited special, which is a great way to try out different classes with zero pressure. :)

My husband and I did the free intro class and we were so impressed from start to finish! We weren't put on the spot and marketted to as expected with a intro class. The instructor was very welcoming and clear. The class was easy to follow yet a great workout. This was my husbands first ever experience and I'm so glad it was at Grace studios because he was so nervous going in but there were multiple men in the class and he felt comfortable. They have a new member special for unlimited classes for 30 bucks and the current member for unlimited is 50 per month which is amazing.

First time doing yoga and I LOVE it. Mind you, I live a very sedentary life style, so I felt like going into a yoga studio is daunting. I took the free beginner class with Jade and I will definitely sign up for the monthly membership! It was so relaxing and it also challenged me. I left with open shoulders and a joyous feeling. Jade and Amanda are awesome!!

I went to Grace's this morning to enjoy a morning session. Today was my first time visiting this studio and Jade was not only very welcoming but extremely helpful. I signed up for the Yoga Basics and Meditation class. I went feeling lethargic but left with a boost in energy. The studio was spacious and clean. I enjoyed my session today with such a fabulous instructor. I look forward to attending again!

A few months ago, my friend and I tried Grace Studios for the first time. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very kind staff member who showed us how to check in on the iPad and gave us a verbal tour of the studio. We enjoyed the class a lot and my favorite thing about the studio was how clean the floors were. I noticed that it is common at other studios to have dirty floors, which is inconvenient since some yoga poses require you to put a hand or foot down on the floor instead of your mat. All of this was great; however, after class the instructor came up to my friend and I and made a body shaming comment to my friend, which both of us found extremely offensive. We had a great time up until this moment, but that comment soured the whole experience for us.

Love this place so much! I’ve been to yoga, Pilates and the strength classes and love each of them. Instructors are fun, knowledgeable & focused on overall strength rather than making your body smaller which I appreciate. It’s a welcoming, diverse space with affinity classes as well for various identities.

You could not ask for a better yoga studio or more knowledgeable, kind and professional instructors than at Grace. They were and are a lifesaver during the ongoing pandemic, quickly switching to virtual classes, fixing the glitches that come with those new to Zoom quickly, and just being there with a consistency of style and thoughtfulness that is so welcome during turbulent times. Whether you are brand new to yoga or as I am, someone who has practiced through multiple injuries for years, they take you out of that anxiety producing place and nurture your body and soul equally. I've practiced at several other studios, and never found such dedication to making sure students understand how to do the poses correctly and without injury, and offering an array of options in how to do them. Their philosophy is you know your body and they know how to make your yoga practice the best it can be. Owners Lenore and Michelle are responsive and wonderful to work with. I'm not someone who gushes about much, but if yoga is part of your life, Grace Studios is the place to practice it.

This Place is top notch. My wife and I spent a brief time here before having to move across the country due to the recent pandemic, but the customer service and commitment to excellence was truly incredible. We started looking forward to our weekend yoga sessions at Grace. The yoga aspect was amazing. We were so nervous for our first class, but the instructor made us feel at home and helped us feel like we belonged and so there is no need to be Nervous if you are thinking about starting yoga CHOOSE GRACE today!

I had walked by Grace for over a year as I was coming home from Metro. When I started taking classes at another studio and a friend mentioned that she had a membership at Grace, I had to try them out.

I went for my first class - and did not even have to pay! Then I purchased the unlimited first month pass - and promptly got sick for two weeks. Michelle and Lenore allowed me to extend my initial pass to make up for the time I was not able to use it.

After a month of classes with different instructors, I was hooked and bought a full membership. The instructors are amazing - they get to know the regulars - and both Michelle and Lenore are beyond compare as far as owners.

Grace does not cancel classes at the last minute - they make sure a class is covered. They hold classes on holidays too! They offer workshops, retreats, teacher trainings. They also offer a variety of classes every day - yoga, mat pilates, and strength. I have been a member for nearly a year. Sometimes I make it three or four times a week; other times I only make it to one class. Having a membership offers flexibility to do either one. The studio "vibe" is so important, and is so positive - they really care about their students. I'll be a member as long as they will have me!

I love this studio- the best in the area. After moving to the DC/MD area I spent a long time finding my "third place" and often resorted to self practice at home because most of the gyms, yoga/Pilates/Barre studios I had encountered were very corporate-y, focused on only one style or "brand" of workout that feels very structured and less authentic in my opinion (e.g. purebarre, corepower yoga). Some other places tend to push sales a bit more than I like. I really enjoyed Grace because of the quaint, authentic, welcoming atmosphere and the wonderful community. The instructors are so knowledgeable and from diverse backgrounds, so the workouts vary to keep students engaged. They offer yoga, Barre, Pilates, and strength classes for a great variety and all of the props are available at no extra charge. I love workouts of all forms, but I feel like large chain gyms and corporations that push sales are the antithesis of yoga, so it was a blessing to find this studio that is very personalized and a "hidden gem" so to speak. I also enjoy catching up with folks after every class and I leave feeling so energized. The community is so close knit and the owners are absolutely lovely.

This very special studio is celebrating 5 fantastic years today! Congratulations to Michelle and Lenore for creating such a welcoming space for wellness in downtown Silver Spring (yoga, pilates, barre, strength) My new favorite class is Lenore's Thursday p.m. pilates class--a mix of modern and traditional pilates. Her cues are precise, supportive, well-informed and so affirming.

I visited this place today with my cousin. We went thinking it was Yoga day, but turned out to be pilates day. Even though I haven't done either in some years, I enjoyed this experience very much. If I lived in the area I would definitely go frequently, but I may have to sign up just to do yoga days with my cousin. I loved the energy of this place and I so needed it today. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
