I wish I could rate this place higher but the consistent amount of mess ups kind of builds on itself. My contract was completely incorrect to my name and the details I gave on the paper. Somehow my name was completely different in their system and I was treated as if that was my problem. I had called to “”pause””” my membership as I could not afford the 28 dollars for a gym I would not be using anymore, and I am still being charged. I am a student and I cannot afford my bank account to be constantly charged when it should not be. The atmosphere is fine and the equipment is reasonable but this behavior towards customers is unacceptable.

Great 24hr gym that's not over packed with people. They also have a large outdoor pool. They also offer free classes that's included in the membership. The monthly membership is $26, which you can cancel at any time.

I’ve been to many gyms in the area but this is the only one where you feel like you’re more than just another membership. The staff are always super helpful, friendly, and word hard to make this place a clean and safe environment for everyone. The gym manager Sean goes above and beyond to make this gym the best in the area.

I’ve tried quite a few gyms and this one is hands down my favorite. The atmosphere is laid back, no loud club music, it’s never crowded, and it’s always clean. The staff are all friendly and helpful and so are the members. Lots of machines and free weights, and lots of room to use them all.

Sean, the manager, is one heck of a guy and does his absolute best to make sure everyone feels safe, welcome, and comfortable. Best gym around by far.

I have trained at every gym in Hagerstown. My home is at Hagerstown Sports and Fitness. They have more than enough equipment to satisfy all fitness needs. Their pool is a wonderful add on with a splash pad attached. They have great child care with well trained staff. The staff of the gym are nice people always willing to help. Their manager, Sean, is a class act. Always friendly and willing to help and offer advice. This place is a one stop shop for health and fitness.

Went there to try to get a membership, and some guy with a tattoo accused me of trying to follow a kid. I have been calling and went in person, ringing the doorbell, but no one is answering. So, I went to the side to see if someone was working at the pool I passed by the kid on my way to the pool. The kid was coming from the opposite direction. . Then I waited in my car because I didn't want to wait in the heat waiting for someone who works there. I was harassed by some guy; I just went there to get a membership. Have the evidence first, then you can accuse all you want. I told the guy to check his cameras, but he said he was too busy. Yet, he has time to accuse someone without any type of description or evidence. You guys are surrounded by apartments there is a lot of people who could have been following that kid

Privately owned gym with swimming pool, basketball court (both outside), daycare and gym (inside), showers in the men and women's bathrooms, 2 private workout rooms for yoga or stretching or any type of class you can muster up. I like it cause it's never more that 15 people in there when I go which is often. It's also really clean and organized. They stay are great too.

I go 5 days a week. They have the heaviest dumbell in the area. The only thing I'd change is that they have multiple "class" type rooms but all of the workout equipment is right on top of one another. They could lose an empty room, spread the equipment out and add more equipment and it would be better off

I have visited several gyms in the local area and one in West Virginia and this is the best gym i have worked out in. If you are serious about getting in shape, this is the place to do it. Great staff and atmosphere. It's open 24/7 and has an outdoor pool for the summer.

I switched to HSC&F from a commercial gym and I’ll never look back. The atmosphere is welcoming for all types of members, there is a wide variety of equipment, and the facility is always clean. The membership also includes the outdoor pool, which is a unique amenity for fitness facilities in this area.
The new manager, Sean is very personable and promotes an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere. The membership price can’t be beat for everything this gym has to offer!

Treadmills need to be updated and fixed. I was there two days ago and out of 9 treadmills only 2 were working. Cardio equipment is old and the whole gym needs a re-do. Please paint this gym another color. Jailhouse green is not motivating to me. I'm only a member because they are open 24/7.

Haven't been to their gym since March. Called to cancel my membership, was told to come in person. I moved 3 hours away from Hagerstown and wasn't able to visit them on a whim. My membership was "paused" until I got charged three times in the same day. $75 dollars is a week's worth of groceries for me. I visited the gym after figuring out that they reopened to cancel my membership, I was told that I was caught up and they won't refund me.

Great price. Quiet environment. Friendly regulars. And quality childcare. This gym is not as well stocked as others, but that is well made-up for in price and convenience. As someone recovering from a two year illness and trying to lose the hundred pounds gained, it is nice to come to a place where I don't feel intimidated by the regulars. The machines are always well kept and the locker room is clean.

Poorly managed, dishonest.

My partner and I were members here for over 2 years. The gym used to be Anytime Fitness but is now under different management and a different name. I notified the management that my partner had accepted a job out of state and we were going to be moving. The manager told me that she needed proof that we were actually moving (a lease) and I needed to give a months notice. I accepted this response at the time, but as time went on we had a difficult time finding a place, and could not produce a lease within a month. More time passed, my partner called the management and asked her what we needed to do to end our membership (just to clarify), the response- just turn in your keys. At this point we were getting mixed messages with her, and I realized that she just didn't believe me when I had originally told her we were moving. Things got crazy, and we ended up moving. We tried continuously to contact them after moving, asking if we could mail our keys in, or if there was any way they could work with us. No response. We could not make the trip down during the week because of our work schedules, and they have limited weekend hours. We finally chose a Saturday to make the 2 hour drive to turn in our keys. Their website said there would be a staff member there from 11-3, we arrived at 1:30.. no one was there. We put the keys in an envelope and wrote a detailed note about the situation and asked them to stop charges to our account. Surprise.. we were charged for another month. I called and the manager actually picked up, she said there was nothing she could do about it, because she didn't physically have the keys in her hand until after the 1st of the month, but she wasn't in the office so she couldn't do anything about it now. I would highly recommend thinking twice before committing to this gym.
