I purchased the Groupon of 10 classes to try it out feel the classes and see how it would work for my schedule and how many classes I can actually take if I decided to join by the end of this month. The studio is really nice small but nice I had classes with different instructors Debbie, Nikki amazing instructors they know how to teach and assist new clients unfortunately Ashima is rude and doesn’t seem to have the patience for new members that are learning the sequences. I am a teacher and I work with Kids and parents and there are ways better ways to correct and redirect a new person in class. That was already one thing that I would not like to take a class with her again. Then another bad experience was that I call I there is traffic on a rainy day I am coming from work DC I walked into the studio and the lady at the desk tells my that if I was 8 minutes late I could go in. No flexibility whatsoever considering weather it was frustrating but it made it clear that this was not a studio J would like to join and pay the rate they charge with little flexibility and some rude instructors. I was lucky to try out Club Pilates in Gaithersburg and that I can compare there services I will go back and sign up with them.very disappointed that I walked away with not a very positive experience.

I like that it's not a really big studio. They have separate rooms for mat related classes and reformer related classes. I really like the variety of classes that they offer. You can attend a class as early as 6am and as late as 8pm. They have a nice selection on the weekend as well. Instructors like Sarah, Nat and Sue are good guides and so informative. There are two bathrooms, a comfy waiting area, water, however, no showers.

Sarah Ramsberg is the best fitness instructor I’ve ever had. And I’ve taken a lot of different group fitness classes! She is so attentive to your body’s alignment and needs. I recently took a trial Pilates IMX class at this wonderful woman-owned studio, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. The instructor took the time to carefully explain each movement, emphasizing proper form and alignment, which made a huge difference in how I connected with the exercises.
What really stood out was the patience and attentiveness throughout the class—they truly took the time to understand my needs and offered thoughtful adjustments to help me get the most out of the session. I appreciated how they focused not just on movement, but on engaging the right muscle groups and being mindful of how your body works.

IM=X is my go to spot for pilates! I moved to Maryland a few months ago and after being disappointed by the gyms in the area, decided to pick up pilates. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking to take a pilates class. I tried this place with my parents (who don’t really speak English well) and we have loved it! The team is very kind, patient, and accommodating. We’ve had scheduling conflicts and they were willing to work with us. The instructors are also kind and supportive no matter what your level is. They pay attention to new students and fix your postures throughout the class but also don’t neglect those when are regulars. They have welcomed my parents and worked with them which honestly means so much to me as they need a lot of guidance. I really like the community they are creating here.

I was new to Pilates in 2023 and a friend introduced me to IMX in King Farm. Linda offers so many packages to help a beginner become acquainted with the proper body mechanics - pelvic floor engagement, rib stability and breathing techniques. I highly encourage anyone who is just starting out to take advantage of the one on one plus unlimited monthly package to get started. I worked with Sarah for a month and took fundamentals classes to get the basics down before trying to move up in levels. I think it made a huge difference in my ability to follow instructions and engage the proper muscles.
I went from 2 classes a week to 3 and now 4-5 a week and it is one of the best parts of my day. I mix up barre, hybrid mat and all levels/ interval/ intermediate reformer classes to continue to challenge myself. I am on a yearly unlimited plan now and take full advantage of it.
This is an awesome studio with great instructors who obviously enjoy instructing and love to bring in new challenges to keep us on our toes (no pun intended).

UPDATE: It has been 2 months since I started, and IM=X Pilates is the best decision I have ever made for me and my well being. I feel better, with more energy and better body position (sitting and standing) than I have ever been in the las 10 years. The attention to not just the type of exercise but the position and the breathing has done wonders. Love the instructors, the different classes, how easy it is to schedule and how friendly everyone is. I recommend it 150%.
UPDATE: Just came back to classes after a 2 month hiatus after knee surgery. Pilates at IM=X is by far the best workout for my new knee: it is helping with stretching, stability, core strength. Try it, you won’t regret it!

IM=X Pilates at King Farm, the place to have a great Pilates workout. The varied schedule allows anybody to get at least 3 good classes a week. The instructors help with correction position and teaching different variations so you work every part of your body. The new 75 minute platform class is amazing!

No matter what your level, I would say this is the perfect Pilates studio. I am taking private lessons. Within two minutes, the instructor determined the real cause of my uneven walk and made one simple recommendation that made a DRAMATIC difference. I also noticed that they seem to be a community as opposed to simply a business. The instructor (Sarah) really cares and has customized my training. I LOVE this studio!! The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and have been teaching for years! Shout out to Sara and Nikki , and Linda! (Ive been a member for 4 months and only have taken their classes - but I hear rave reviews from other members about the other instructors as well. - I feel both challenged and supported by them in their classes. They are very much interested in teaching safely, with an emphasis on form and doing the exercises correctly. I’m 60 and active but had a hip replacement and knee surgery. My body aches and pains have disappeared; after class I am energized and pain free. I’ve been to classical Pilates classes and have done privates elsewhere - by far this studio is the best! Very down to earth, nothing fancy - just great, safe and challenging classes. Every day I choose from 8-10 classes, varying levels of difficulty. I never get bored and learn something in each class.

After reading many 5 star reviews for this Pilate studio, I decided to give it a try. So far I like the atmosphere. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. They keep challenging you and encouraging you. The IM=X® Tower class with Sarah was great. I was nervous at the beginning as it was the first time that I was leaning how to use Pilate orbit to work on abdominal muscles. With the help from Sarah, I was able to do most of the exercises and had a great workout. Today I also enjoyed a Pilate class with Sarah. I felt that I learned a lot from today's class. As other reviews mentioned, Sarah is a great instructor.

This studio is absolutely amazing! I’ve done a trial class & a private session with Nikki, and she’s very knowledgeable and thorough. I also attended Linda’s class yesterday, and it was fun! I’ve only been doing heavy workouts like BJJ and other types of martial arts, as well as CrossFit and heavy weightlifting. I always thought Pilates was overrated, but I was 120% wrong! I’m already addicted, and signing up for a monthly membership was a no-brainer. It’s helping me a lot with posture and symmetrical body balance. I cannot wait to see more improvements. IMX Pilates is excellent. A way to strengthen your core without just doing sit ups! Instructors are watching and correcting you through out so bad habits don’t develop and you use the equipment properly. Took a while to get the breathing down which makes all the difference. Pilates stretches me out so thoroughly that I want to go do something cardio but don’t always get to it. Love IMX!

My daughter had the time wrong for the class. We arrived late and were told that we couldn’t take the class but one of the trainer quickly, resolved the issue by getting us register for another class. I have been going for two years and love most of the instructors. Debbie and Linda as well as their yoga teachers (Natasha and Pearl) are excellent. The facilities are clean and there are many different class levels and types to choose from.

I took a class with Natasha today and loved it. She was very knowledgeable and a great instructor- she took the time to explain all of the movements, demonstrated everything, and was also very encouraging. The studio is large and clean, staff was friendly, would definitely recommend!

I love working out at IMX Kingfarm. Everyone is so kind and helpful. The classes are challenging enough where I don’t feel out of place but feel like I’m getting a great workout. I love this place! IM=X Pilate has amazing instructors, conveniently located and opens early! Sarah, Ashima & Nikki are great! They are a GEM! April is my absolute favorite instructor in this studio. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious, making every class a fun and enjoyable experience. I always leave April’s sessions feeling both physically challenged and mentally rejuvenated.
Her clear explanations, attention to form, and detailed instructions ensure that each exercise is performed correctly and effectively.
Barre classes and the Hybrid-Xercizer are definitely my favorite workouts at IM=X.
