My son loves Kaizen Karate! Coach Nina is a great instructor, really motivates the children and gets them excited about karate. We also did a birthday party with the Kaizen team which was fantastic-- Coach Nina went above and beyond to make it a wonderful day for everyone.

This review is mainly towards the customer service at Kaizen. My daughter was taking karate with Kaizen as part of her after school program and I reached out to the office to request feedback on her to gauge whether we should continue investing in classes given that as parents we don't have visibility into the classes since they take place at the school. I contacted Jaime at Kaizen in November 2023, followed up multiple times and up until now I have not received any feedback. I get a response that a follow up is being done, yet no reply until I write again to remind them of my request. This is poor customer service, and as paying clients, this is not a request that is beyond ordinary to simply get feedback on performance. I would not recommend this company for this sole reason.

My son has been attending Kaizen Karate classes and summer camps for 7 years, since he was 5 years old. I can't speak highly enough of them. The coaches are truly inspirational and are teaching him so much more than just karate -- the importance of patience, a desire for kaizen (continuous improvement), and so much more. And he's having fun at the same time. I never thought I'd be a karate mom, but he asked to join when he was in PreK, and his commitment hasn't wavered. Not even through virtual classes during the pandemic. I look forward to seeing how they help him grow for 7 more years!

Kaizen Karate is a phenomenal karate school. Should be everyone’s first choice. I’ve had three kids grow up with them from beginners (now one black belt, one advanced, and one intermediate belt), all going strong. The instructors are great with kids and adults both, are fantastic mentors in and out of karate class, and the school is like an extended family. They are serious about skills development and do not nickel-and-dime parents or give out black belts easily. Sending our kids there is one of these decisions we ever made.

Kaizen Karate is a wonderful karate school for kids and adults. Coach V is extremely skilled, very friendly and very supportive. He and the other coaches take the time to get to know the students and work to support each one individually based on his or her needs. We are so pleased we found this program and highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn karate.

I would give Kaizen more than 5 stars if I could. The coaches are very passionate about what they do and treat you the same whether you are a beginner or advanced. It is difficult to find activities that my older daughter will put so much focus into, but the positive attitude by everyone has motivated her to do so. My youngest daughter is very difficult to get into any type of group class, but Coach Chris has a positive energy that has helped her feel welcomed and definitely not intimidated. And as an adult beginner, I have always felt welcomed not only by Coach David and the rest of the coaches, but also by the other adult students. Finally, any teacher or motivational speaker can take lessons from Coach V. He can control an entire gymasium through his positive energy and without coming across as controlling or dominating. He always enjoys speaking with anyone one-on-one.

Kaizen Karate really is a great company that truly cares about teaching karate the way it’s supposed to be taught. Some dojo’s give belt promotions out very easily, but with Kaizen, everything is earned so you know that your skill level corresponds with your belt level.

The instructors are all very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. While I solely attend the adult classes, after seeing some of the kid’s classes, I can tell that the kids really enjoy their time in class and have a ton of fun learning karate. Overall, whether you’re taking karate as an adult or signing your child up for classes, I highly recommend Kaizen Karate!

My daughter has been with Kaizen Karate for 10 years. She currently attends 5 classes/week and is about to get her black belt soon. This isn’t some cookie-cutter karate where you earn a belt by paying money and/or showing up. This school teaches real karate and how to fight, compete, respect one another, build integrity and confidence... my daughter is 15 and calls this her family. She also attends the summer camp which she tells me is her favorite time of the year. Great place. Great instructors.
