So i wanted to try out this swim school for my now 8 month old baby and unfortunately we will not be coming back because something is off with the water! I don’t know if it’s the PH, the chlorine is too strong, or the water is just dirty but something is definitely off!! Me and my baby did the mommy & me class and when we got in we were both fine, after a little bit my face started burning and then my child’s face started turning red and he had a really bad allergic reaction. I will not be bringing my child back to this swim school. save your time and money. Clearly not safe for parents or children!

It’s very neat and fantastic place for kids to learn swim lessons. I brought my older daughter on 2013 now I bring my youngest one, it’s a lovely place and they both are so good at their skills now.

KFSS has really stepped it up! My daughter took classes here before the new management and it was ok- but now I see the difference and it is clearly being managed with the customer in mind. Highly recommend!

SAFTEY ISSUES HERE! Do not send your child to this school. They put children in dangerous situations and provide zero actual instruction. They frequently put children with extremely different skill levels in the same class and the instructors cannot keep eyes on all children in the class. The level 1 class consists of either my child sitting on the step or on an instructors hip. No attempts to teach a single item listed in the class objectives in 6 lessons. Biggest waste of money and honestly should be shut down with the unsafe behaviors.

Justin, the current manager, has ratcheted up experiences at this KFSS! He is always pleasant and professional, paying careful attention to patron’s needs, ranging from Warm Water Therapy for senior citizens to classes and intensives for children. Furthermore, he’s added creative options to the traditional swim curriculum to give holidays a special activity, for example, Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad.

Totally unprofessional people dealing with customers. This used to be a very wonderful swim school since my older child ( who is now 20) used to come her. She spent about 5 years here until she became part of the first swim team. However, now I know why the reviews are so bad. The people are so unprofessional and very rude. They change schedules without proper communication. Do not waste your time and money here.

UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE MANAGER. Very POOR customer service! Will NEVER go back.
And i hope you don't waste your money here either.
Bear with me, This is long, but try to read, it might help.
This Kids First Swim School is the WORST. We have been here since 2018 with my first child (but had to stop during covid in 2020 and came back this year 2024) now with my second child as well.
This branch have had different owners and managers. I've always had issues with this school (but the worst had just happened). I am not one who would just give up easily as soon as they find something bad about the place, i am more of a let's stay and try to make it work kind of person.
Anyway, my most recent experience happened at the end of July. My children were supposed to get a make up class one sunday afternoon (which i confirmed with one of their staff the day before as we were at the school for my children's usual lesson). The following day, we came in, there were 2 people in the front desk (TRISH and a college student) and they both looked very confused. So commeu wint one or mer stal me udy velure ds we were at the school for my children's usual lesson). The following day, we came in, there were 2 people in the front desk (TRISH and a college student) and they both looked very confused. So l approached them and told them we're there for a makeup lesson. The manager (whose name is TRISH) started saying that we are not supposed to be there as we are not on the schedule. I tried to tell her that one of her staff confirmed we were supposed to be there, but she won't listen, and doesn't seem to understand me. We kept going back and forth, the other person who was beside her (a college kid i think, she is one of the staff members) was also trying to help with the situation but TRISH (the manager) said "BUT she is not the manager, I AM", to which i replied “I know that's why I'm making you understand me".
But she did not try to find a solution, instead she used words like "we are done here", "you are disrespectful", "you are stressing me out"
, and more. Another issue i brought up that day was how come that even when i have requested for a specific teacher, i still get different teacher each week, TRISH responded "i don't have to explain anything to you" but then told me (in an irritated and angry voice) exactly what happened to the teacher (which TRISH technically violated the teacher's privacy).
Moving forward, i was able to find the owner of this franchise, through the help of another Kids First Swim School branch, and when contacted seemed to be very nice, and had told me she was going to call me back to let me know what they can do to fix the situation, never really called me
back.
I was really hoping I could at least get a refund (of $256) since i have already enrolled my kids for the month of august but because of what happened, i decided i don't want to take my kids back there anymore, TRISH the manager, said they have a NO REFUND POLICY. I was hoping the owner/assistant owner could help me with this, but i never really heard back from her.

Manager Trish is super unprofessional and her attitude when someone asks a question is upsetting. I signed up my child for swim lessons and I truly was not impressed. The manager is not doing her duties as a manager I often see her just sitting around doing nothing while the teens run the business. Truly upsetting.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! It is an unimpressive and terrible swim school. The owner is very rude and the teachers are not knowledgeable on dealing with kids. The place is run by immature college students. There is a different teacher working with your child everytime and they never introduce themselves or work to build a relationship with you or your child. The facility is disgraceful and the pool looks old and rusted. I took my child out at 4 weeks and lost money but I urge you not to waste your time or money on this swim school. Try another establishment that is more professional and actually works to educate your child on the sport of swimming.

We've used Kids First in multiple locations. This location, like the others utilizes a structured instructional format incrementally adding skills as students master prior ones. For the reviews talking about slow progression, the lessons focus on fundamentals. Some levels and ages will take longer than others, depending on where the student is. Our older child more or less mastered level 7 and is now a strong swimmer. It did take several years, since he started at a younger age. Older kids may progress quicker, and the instructors here will advance the kids mid session to a new level if appropriate. Highly recommended.

I went to this business for the first time for my baby’s swim lessons and I was disappointed as soon as I walked in the door. The place is old, run down and dirty. There were piles of overflowing trash in the main lobby area and broken furniture. The large women’s changing room had limited seating and only one small place to change your baby’s clothes/diapers. All the changing areas in general just looked old, neglected and dirty. As far as the actual swimming lessons, they were satisfactory and the instructor was hands on and showed everyone individual attention. I won’t be booking additional lessons packages with this particular location again. It’s possible that some of the other locations may be in better condition than this one.

No results. My kid did two rounds at level 1, and he has grown 0 and has 0 new skills. They won’t push the kids to add a new skill, such as putting face underwater etc. Growth seems optional here. My kid had a great time splashing around however. One flaw with this place is the design of the pool. All kids, no matter how small can touch the bottom during the whole lesson. While that seemed great to us at first, we soon realized that he is just wading back and forth and is not being challenged.

Signed up for a set of 6 semi private lessons with them, a few of those were canceled last minute, once we went in to find out there was no instructor available that day and once they reached out to let us know the pool heater was not functioning properly. So really out of 6 classes we got 4 and I was never able to reschedule the 2 classes my daughter missed. The owner wanted for us to join regular classes for make ups and that’s not what we signed up for. Really hard to get a hold of them on the phone but I should’ve known that from the start since I had the hardest time signing up because they rarely answer the phone.
I should have a credit for 2 semi private lessons but they don’t refund and wanted me to sing up for another round of 6 so we could get the discount for the 2 missed classes. A joke!

Do not go here. We had our son signed up for lessons. We go on a Sunday and no instructor showed up. We then tried calling for the next week and a half and no one answered and their voicemail was full. Due to the lack of being able to reach them/no show from the instructor, we wanted a full refund. Finally was able to talk with someone and they said they have a no refund policy that we signed. Thing is we never signed anything. The person said oh well it’s all over the facility. I’d take my kids elsewhere.

This place is rigged. After 6 sessions they kicked my kids out without letting me know because they found someone for private class during the time slot my kids were attending semi private lessons. When I reached out to front desk the lady at front desk responded with rude attitude. They only care about money, they don’t care about kids and their progress and for entire 6 session they never gave report cards or progress report. This place is waste of money and waste of time. Beware before you take your kids there.

This school closed with no notice in the beginning of the pandemic. They took our money and we never heard anything ever again. We're due at least a minimal note about what happened and do not deserve to be entirely ghosted.

Very bad! After 4 session small group, my kid stay the level 2, then we registered a private lesson, we hope the coach can help my kid resolve the difficult on the back float . But after 6 lessons, nothing we got! still stuck on the back float! Still in the level 2.

Oh My Goodness! If a teacher can't help kid resolve the difficulty and move to next step, why we need a teacher ? Actually, I watched every time, the coach Ms Kelly was not very earnest, sometimes she chat with the other coach ,sometimes she just near by my kid and let she do by herself. I don't think she is a good coach.

So we quilt from this school.

First time in level seven my daughter did great. After a year going to other school I changed her here since it was suppose to be more challenging. Secons time suppose to be level 8 they match her with a level 4 student. Asked why she was wasting time and their answer level 8 is a review of the other levels. Previously she was all the time in 5 feets no help swimming back and forward with our help and then they start in 4 feets holding the kids. No sense no challenge waste of time.
