I know Jason for more than 10 years , heβs the best kickboxing coach Iβve ever seen.. his way to teach students is based in pure technique, solid , clear and effectiveβ¦ all his students become champions . Facts. For me being his student is like a therapy , I highly recommend his classes for people who want to start this awesome sport ,or if they want to win competitions. Trust me, he is a very talented coach and a super nice guy!

Really enjoying my time training at this gym. I do wish there were more options to train in the morning tho. Iβm taking time off work and focusing on training in the meantime and have nowhere to train until 5pm.

Youβll be in a facility with top-notch instruction and an unparalleled vibe. The human side of this gym is what makes it so special to me. I have yet to experience it anywhere else, despite having been to many countries and multiple gyms.
I started training at Level up around the pandemic. I already had fight experience but never seen next level in terms of instruction. I had taken 4 free trials at various places to determine whether or not I would continue to pursue fighting. 10 minutes into the class I was sold. He, along with the team got me from a losing record to a regional title and a renewed self-esteem.
Coach Jason was the first person Iβd met in the parking lot while he was headed out. Fast forward 3 years later he has been the mentor Iβve always needed. The same exact statement could come from so many other members, both competitors and non-competitors.
Whether youβre looking to compete, throw a few punches to stay fit, or give your children an outlet, I wouldnβt pass up on the opportunity.

Decided not to try my son here soley based on the unprofessional comments made by the owner, in response to bad reviews. Potential customers are paying attention to how you handle customers. βπΎ

Very unprofessional business. Coaches disrespect students for personal reasons, and management fails to address the situations professionally. Will definitely take my business elsewhere.

I started training here on the day after MLK's bday. Unskilled at boxing or muay thai. And I can say, the coaches are the "real deal". They walk it like they talk it, and never make U feel beneath them. They add humor and seriousness 2 the training that makes U wanna come back, day after day. Not sure how other gyms work, but Level Up is the gold standard 4 me personally. Anytime I struggle, the coaches lift me up. Their patience is unparalleled. I will never stop training here, and I'm 49 going on 50. Everyone who's interested in self defense or body conditioning and fitness should train here...

I attended the muay thai class there for about a year. Unfortunately due to some set backs I had to cancel my membership. Coach Jason is a dynamite Coach and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this Muay Thai gym to anyone who is looking for a technique, style, and accuracy. Hoping to get back there soon.

Great center for Muay Thai, Boxing and fitness. The gym environment is awesome and is very inviting for all demographics and skill levels. Coach Jason is a genius when it comes to striking and also is a talented designer and artist which is on display throughout the facility.

The service at Level up boxing is extremely terrible. I called to have my son's account closed due to school. The gentlemen that answered the phone told me that I could pause the account instead of closing it and the manager would reach out to me to see if I was still interested in a couple months. That's not what happened afterwards.
Not only did I get charged for the month, they charged me twice. Which I had to call several times in order for them to fix the problem. After that I was billed every month. Remind you, my account was supposed to be in pause status, yet I was billed for service. Every month I had to call to have them reverse the charge. It's completely ridiculous.
I was billed June 6th and once again, I called to have them reverse my charge. A woman picked up the phone and told me it would be fixed. I called today, the woman I spoke to earlier in the week answered the phone and placed me on hold, and never came back. I called them back and the phone went immediately to voicemail. They refuse to deal with the situation.
This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Every employee gives you a different answer regarding how things operate. No one has a concept of what they're doing and professionalism is nowhere to be found. You should know your customers accounts and what status they're in. I shouldn't have to call every month to have you fix a charge. If you're billing me every month when exactly is my account in pause? Who is doing the billing? Apparently they don't know what they're doing and shouldn't be handling it. It takes no time to issue a refund. It is not that complicated to do. I shouldn't have to call you several times in order for this transaction to be fixed. I've never been more frustrated with a company than I am with Level up boxing. But I guess this is what happens when you have a boxer running a business that requires professionalism and logic.
Don't waste your time going to this gym. The people operating this business are unprofessional. You can find a better gym that has better customer service and knows how to communicate with their clientele.

Great place, my sons train there. Coach Carlos Catania, 4th degree BB in BJJ is an awesome coach. Really good space with a variety of training partners. A lot of stroking classes too. This place is the whole package for those who want to train in MMA.

Id give it a 4.5 β Solid gym. Great facility. Professional. Organized. They have a good system in place. I reccomend it for Novice and Mid Level fighters. It seems to be more Kickboxing centric than traditional Boxing. They also have a great H.I.I.T. work out. I believe they call it "Befit".

Any workout at Level Up I've had was strenuous and exhausting, but I was glad I went. The trainers and staff are really encouraging and friendly. The environment is positive. All in all, it's one of, if not the best place to learn a martial art or get in amazing shape.

I started coming here just about a year ago. Other gyms really made me feel unwelcomed as a newbie. I was pretty self-conscious about slowing down classes and just felt generally unwanted at these gyms... like I was a burden. I take my physical fitness very seriously, so why would I waste my time at these places if they weren't going to show me any form of respect? So far, I have experienced nothing but patience from the other fighters and coaches alike. When I couldn't hold the pads right, the coaches showed me how. When I couldn't throw a punch right, the pad holder didn't get frustrated, they corrected me. Even when I felt like I just wasn't picking up Boxing, the coaches and managers helped to motivate me and keep me engaged. In just under a year, I've improved drastically in my BJJ and Boxing. It's a very dedicated but friendly atmosphere. You really do feel like your membership means something. This is a real fighter's gym, not whatever other gyms pass off as boxing (but is really Zumba with gloves). I'm still far from where I want to be, but I feel like I'm slowly but surely improving every time I walk out.

I found level up in August of 2014 because I wanted to box and lose weight. I looked at many options nearby, walked into level up first since it was relatively close and decided this was the place I wanted to be. I love this place it's a great environment to learn and work out in. I have been coming to this gym for 3 years and will continue to do so until I no longer can. Thank you Coach Jason for giving me that first boxing class those years ago; it was a stepping stone into a healthier lifestyle.

First things first the culture at Level Up is extremely inclusive, diverse, friendly, plus they're safety & training oriented. It's impressively a 50/50 ratio of men and women - unheard of in the martial arts world.
Level Up has BY FAR the BEST jiu jitsu instruction I've ever experienced with Sijara Eubanks. Coach Jason's striking is the best in the DC/Maryland/Virginia region - he's coached amazing fighters and knows everyone there is to know in the Muay Thai/Boxing/MMA world.
Highly recommend you drop in if you're passing through - it's only a $20/day drop in fee. If you live in the area... just know it's worth an hour commute each way for me.

I really enjoyed going to class here. The instructors were knowledgeable, and each class was challenging. However, I'm going on 7-month military orders soon, and wanted to put my membership on hold during that time. The longest they could do it for was three months. Obviously I don't want to pay for classes of which I can't attend, so I decided to cancel, and just re-join when I get back. But then I was informed of a 10% cancelation fee! 10% of what? I had the month-to-month membership because I knew I was going on orders. Needless to say, I'm considering not going back because of this. It's a shame -- I've been a member since Apr 2015, and really enjoyed the classes and the people. So my advice is this: join only if you know you're going to stick with it for a while, or else be prepared to be hit with that cancelation fee, regardless of what membership you're on.

What's been more important to me in my many years of doing Martial Arts has always been the people more so then the facility. The people I train with and the people who instruct me. At Level Up Boxing and Fitness I finally found both. Not only do I get the great facility, but I get an awesome family. Coach Jason, the Staff and my fellow students are great motivators as well as instructors. I just can't say enough about what a great place Level Up is to come and learn all you can about Boxing, Kickboxing and just Fitness in general.
Oh and by the way...... Coach Jason was the reason my Son, after only training with Coach Jason a short time, won 2nd place in the Nationals (World Kickboxing Association of USA)!
