Coach Wendall is an amazing trainer and most importantly, a great person. He has improved my strength, speed, agility, and mental toughness. He shares his wisdom from his time playing division 1 basketball, Muay Thai, and life experiences. I can comfortably say Coach Wendall has helped he in every aspect of my life!
He's the best there is!

Wendell is absolutely worth every penny, if you want your athlete to reach their potential MANA training is the answer. His knowledge combined with his dedication, have helped my son excel in baseball and football. He requires discipline and effort, which we appreciate. If you want to build a "monster" MANA training is your answer.

Coach Wendell is simply the best! I've seen him in action with clients in one-on-one settings, two-on-one, and working with entire teams. He is a true professional. If you are on the fence, you should definitely give Mana Sports Performance a try. My son probably doesn't play college baseball without him! And he definitely doesn't have the success he did without Coach Wendell.

I was lucky enough to work with Wendell Navalta from MANA Personal Training as an athletic trainer, and I only have positive things to say. I entered the program hoping to improve my athleticism for high school basketball because I had been cut from tryouts the prior year. I started at the very bottom and was the only athlete in the history of MANA to be unable to perform the program's most basic exercise, a “kick-out”. Wendell assured me that I would be able to do them without a problem very soon. I worked with him twice a week and within a couple of weeks, I could do kick-outs easily.
The real changes happened when I was introduced to the plyometric boxes. I started with a 15-inch vertical jump but using the training methods and techniques I learned from Wendell on the boxes, I managed to increase it to 23 inches in less than a year. One of my most memorable moments from working with Wendell was when I told him that I needed to be able to bench press 115 pounds within a month for basketball tryouts. Wendell and I instantly got to work, and I hit 115 pounds in a couple of weeks, making the team.
Wendell also focuses heavily on the mental side of sports, which I feel is the most important. He encouraged me tirelessly and inspired me to work as hard as possible. Now, I no longer play sports competitively, as I chose to pursue other goals, but his methods still stick with me to this day. Three years later I still use the same meal plan and training regimen he introduced when I started. My vertical jump is now over 25 inches and I bench press around 280 pounds. If I hadn’t had the opportunity to learn from such an incredible mentor, I doubt I would be anywhere close to where I am today. Wendell is the kind of person that you want to have a meaningful conversation with and who values the hard work you put in on your own time. I highly recommend Wendell, and his training studio, MANA Personal Training to anybody who wants to level up athletically or be a more focused athlete.

The reason we started with Coach Wendell and his program was because we went to a club lacrosse tryout and the coaches made the girls run sprints. Some of the girls were very fast and I realized that we had to get my daughter to be not only fast but also quick. We have been with working with Coach for 2 ½ years and my daughter has greatly improved in both areas. What has also happened is that her confidence in herself has shot up. For a 12-year-old, having confidence in what you’re doing, can expedite your progression in whatever you do.
Confidence has been the biggest success. Coach Wendell incorporates 30+ years of Muay Thai teaching into the workouts to have his athletes overcome fear and boost their confidence. This helps the athlete become comfortable in uncomfortable situations. So not only does he help his athletes become faster and stronger, but he also puts time into making them mentally strong.
My daughter has become faster, stronger, and more mentally tough. I would think these would be the reason that you would be looking for someone like Coach Wendell. My daughter has worked out at other training facilities, but none of them come close to working out at MANA. The difference is that Coach Wendell is running every session. You will not get passed around to different trainers who don’t know you.
Coach Wendell documents every workout, and you cans see the results over time. He uses tests that are used at Division 1 showcases and professional combines. By using these tests, it also helps the athlete become familiar with them. Over time this will help the athlete become confident when their day comes.
Consistency is key. Starting and stopping doesn’t work. You must put the work in week in week out. Your child has to show up when they workout, and as the parent you have to make time in your schedule to get them there.

We were very pleased with the results our son achieved with MANA and Wendell's instruction. We wanted to see our son improve his speed, he went from a 7.2 to 6.5 in the 40yd dash. He also increased his over physical stamina and core strength. Wendell's guidance also carried into addressing and helping our son with his attitude and emotional approach to his competitive participation. Our time with Wendell contributed to our son continuing his baseball career with St. Mary's College of Maryland.

In my late 50s, I began working with Wendell which continued for about 6 years. The impact he’s had on my life has been nothing short of transformative. Thanks to his guidance, I’ve lost weight, stayed fit, and even increased my strength—I’m proud to say my bench PR is 150 pounds!
Beyond the physical improvements, my overall health has drastically improved, but the biggest benefit has been the mental resilience I’ve gained through Wendell’s training. His incorporation of Muay Thai practices and meditation helped me navigate one of the toughest times of my life—my breast cancer diagnosis—with strength and grace.
Wendell’s unwavering focus on form and safety meant I never had to worry about injury, allowing me to push myself while staying confident in my workouts. I’m deeply grateful for the support, knowledge, and encouragement Wendell has provided, and I can’t recommend him highly enough."

Mana has been a fixture for our daughters for several years now.
Both started with him as a part of training and recovery for sports-related injuries.
However, they continued with him beyond recovery because their confidence and agility improved so exponentially.
Whenever they want guidance, not just for their sports performance but for life in general, they request sessions.
Wendell’s coaching style and strong character gives them the positivity and work ethic that they need to really thrive as student athletes and most importantly-young women.
