I loved this gym because it was smaller but nicely equipped. Had a nice environment and friendly staff members. Glad I joined when I did because shortly thereafter, staffing became scarce, the doors remained unsecured and it seemed like something was off. Couple of months later, during normal business hours there would be no one working. I had a question about a fee they charged but no one was available to answer me by phone or in person. Same day I reached out, an email was sent about closing for an unspecified amount of time. Days later we found out there was no reopening. If you had gone in person, you would have seen the court paper embarrassingly taped to the front door. Members were still charged even though the gym had remained closed. My experience here left me never wanting to join a smaller gym again.

The gym has been closed the past several months for undetermined reasons. In December, they didn't take out monthly dues because of that but they did in January. I enjoyed the gym and would recommend it if they would open up again. The location in Jessup is good albeit somewhat small and quite far for consistent use. If they open again, I would recommend it as an affordable gym option. The only issues I had with them was actually trying to sign up because the hours they are staffed aren't in line with my needs and there is no option to sign up online. One time I also went to use the gym early in the morning and the scanner wouldn't read my phone. It was a scanner issue as there was another person there experiencing the same issue. So waking up early and taking pre-workout only to have to go home and itch was not a fun time. If they would open up again, this would be 4 stars easy

Attempted to call multiple times over the past couple of weeks to schedule a tour and begin my trial here (per instructions on site/ email).
No one ever picks up.
Dropped by to see if I could get an attendant to help me in-person. Doors locked and people inside just looking at me.

Too bad. Could have had another membership. This is reflective of a “solid business” looking to grow and take customers’ money.

Excellent Gym! Professional and courteous staff.
In town for the week and paying the daily drop-in rate. (I don't believe you should take advantage of a gym's trial if you're not local and not going to join)
If I was local I would join. The facility is well equipped and CLEAN! The multifunctional racks are great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. If you're in town visiting, drop-in. If you're local, give Maximum Fitness a try. You won't be disappointed.

Only in town for a few days and was able to get a workout here using the company's guest pass policy (make sure you call ahead and go when they are staffed though). An excellent and clean facility with a great selection of Hammer Strength equipment and calibrated plates, bonus points for the sauna in the locker room. Will be back should I find myself in the area again

In the era ok Covid it could be scary thinking about going back in the gym but here I was worry free! The gym is at the top tier level of standards and cleanliness. There is such a professionalism and personal touch by the staff that I feel my experience and safety matters. All the equipment is of quality and state of the art and it really is just a wonderful gym experience. I am so pleased and so happy to now call Maximum Fitness my regular gym!!
