The facility is always clean, the equipment is well maintained, and there's a wide variety of machines and free weights to choose from. The staff at the gym are incredibly friendly, my review is only for the billing situation. I reached out to the Meridian team (and have not yet received a response) to inform them that their billing company ABC Fitness' system glitched and stopped charging my credit card, resetting it to a random number. I communicated with ABC multiple times to give them the correct number, but they never charged it. I escalated to the billing company's supervisor who said my correct information was entered as a secondary payment method and couldn't explain why it still hadn't been charged. They assured me they would reach back out with a resolution, but never did. ABC Fitness is the same billing company that is used by Planet Fitness, and I likely wouldn't have signed a contract at this more expensive gym if I had known they used the same shady billing company.

Their fitness center is cramped into an old office building . Way too small, no showers, no locker room, fitness equipment too close together. Poor ventilation. Over priced. They can’t afford a real gym so they devised this place which is laughable. No thanks !

A much better gym when it was in the now planet fitness space however the tiny space it is now is not worth what they charge. There’s no locker room either and no showers which makes it inconvenient for people who work. Not enough equipment however even if they had more there is nowhere to put it. Just not worth what they are charging. I’m being charging for a third of the amenities I used to have.

There price is ridiculously high now!!!! Not worth it! I was a member for years when it was World Gym. During COVID I had to cancel my membership. They didn't cancel it on the system and I was still being charged. They were kind enough to get this issue resolved. I wouldn't mind joining again, however, their rate under this new management is NOT reasonable. VERY PRICEY! Limited hours! Limited activities! Limited equipment!

I was double charged for months before I caught it and childcare charges were randomly started up again after I hadn’t used this service in over a year. I blocked future charges and when I tried to cancel membership, I was told it wouldn’t be cancelled until I paid the last month so it would just keep building up but that was on me. Long story short, I got an acknowledgement of the money I was over charged and a promise to put a check in the mail. A few months later, I have sent a few reminder emails and received reassurance of the nonexistent check. This has been a rough two years for everyone but to steal money from a family is low. Think twice before trusting this business.

You condisendingly told another reviewer to find another gym with the same amenities for cheaper. Customer service training is needed for their assistant manager never a great customer service experience like the rest of the staff. Never greeted just rude and wants you to yell across the desk instead of walk over and ask "How can I help you" I stop by to ask a few questions while I'm in town. First thing she says daycare is close, I wanted to asked a simple question about classes, she hands me the calendar and then says read the back of it. I also wanted to see what offers they provide when you move out of State. But I left with no information and I closed this account last year. So that being said we moved on to another gym, Lifetime treats us with respect and has a amazing spin class. My family and I enjoy our membership here.

I rarely ever use this gym since I am member at Waldorf World Gym. The times I have I had to sign a book and they will call waldorf to verify I am a member.
My latest experience will be my last. I entered into the gym. There was no one behind the counter. I could of just walked into the gym but I wanted to go through the proper procedure. I waited at the desk. The young lady was on the phone talking to someone and then got off. They had some free wellness check booth; they are always doing something extra with short staff by the way. two women go to the booth to sign in. She goes over the bootg and starts to serfe the two women. Now let me remind everyone to have me signed in takes about a one minute. As opposed to the 10 minutes she decided to do this side service for these two women. I am pacing back and forth waiting. A man comes into the building through the front door and she stops with the women and asks him: "do you need help with something sir?"

Ok so thats when I decided to leave. I came back in as soon as I left and decided to approach the lady. I had to say excuse me why haven't I been serviced yet? I see you ask that man if he needed help. What makes him different from me? She just smirked and asked: Do you need help with something in a sarca
stic way. I told her nevermind I am just going to my home gym. I was disgusted. She turns around and goes back to doing the wellness check. I sent a message to the owners and manager but no response yet. And from the reputation of this gym location I don't expect one. I know the reason why I wasnt helped but I be3n use to it my whole life. Even on a supposed MLK day this happened.

My favorite place to start the day! Staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and personable - even when I arrive at the crack of dawn, barely conscious myself… There is a wide selection of equipment, including ample cardio machines (rowers, treadmills, ellipticals, etc), weight machines, and free weights. I never have to wait for the equipment I desire (well, I might have had to wait a couple minutes ONCE, when I came during peak hours on a Saturday last year, but never since then).

They also offer many types of classes - most included free with membership, though a few (such as cardio barr) require a small fee. The space is large and well laid out, leaving plenty of room to maneuver without feeling cramped and running into fellow exercisers. There are plenty of stalls in the women's locker room with three showers (sometimes I do have to wait for these, particularly if I don't finish my workout before 7am) and a sauna (which, admittedly, I've never used, despite my desire to do so at some point), all typically clean and well stocked.

All in all, a fantastic facility for an incredibly affordable price!

Gym sends me an email saying my Feb dues will be covered, then I check my online banking and it was indeed charged. When I call gym, associate says the email was sent to everyone but doesn't apply to me, when I ask to speak to manager, she refused to get on the phone and he again insists that's it's because I'm military. Why send the email then? I regret signing an agreement for this gym. It's tiny and they don't stay open late like the Waldorf world gym which is open 24 hours.

This World Gym is now under NEW ownership and NEW management (as of June 2014)! The classes have been revamped entirely and are excellent - Les Mills Body Pump and Body Combat, excellent Yoga and excellent Zumba instructors! An awesome SPIN program. The gym is absolutely clean and fresh! Friendly front desk staff guide you through and welcome you. The Personal Training companies offer excellent training options for those that have special fitness needs or fitness goals! The Alloy training program is a favorite! This place has done a 360-degree turnaround and is the best gym IN TOWN!

I love World Gym. The location is perfect for me, I stop by, for now, 4 days a week, on my way home. Eventually, I will bump it up to 5 or more days a week. I like the small "Women's Only" side of the gym, for those of us who aren't perfect and can't stand the ones who think they are perfect gawking. I take 2 Zumba classes a week (Robbie is hands down, the best zumba instructor I've ever worked with). Robbie gets the class going, I've noticed more and more people participating in his class. He also helps with the Body Combat class, Lizzy is awesome (trust me, this girl will kick your butt in that class). I take the 2 classes simultaneously on Thursdays, when I get home, I'm exhausted but feel great at the same time. Every night when I walk into the gym, the staff at the front desk always greet me with a smile, and the ones who clearly recognize me acknowledge me when I walk in. Robbie always takes time to say hello and ask if you will be in his class "this week". So, all in all, yes, a few years ago, I had a membership there and cancelled, but not because of the staff or the gym itself. I cancelled because I wasn't motivated enough. I've been going to the gym this time around since August of 2014 and couldn't be happier. Each week, I notice the results of my hard work and dedication. I sprained my ankle during a zumba class, missed the week after it happened, then came back the following week to "modify" my zumba moves. I still participated, that's all that matters. So, those of you that cancelled a few years ago, give it another shot, you may find that you will like the upgrades, more classes, fantastic instructors and just all around good time you will have. Thanks again, Robbie and Lizzie, for accepting me in your classes (this is your favorite "I Love Lucy Episode Problem Child". You two are the best!! Oh, and I can't forget Susan, the Stability Ball instructor, she is really great too. Every week in her class, you can BYOB (bring your own ball!!!) and have a blast!! Thanks again all!
