I found Wendy of Motif In Movement Studio & Spa is a very warm, and her space welcoming. The ways she breaks down instruction was unique, and so super helpful to digest. As fairly new student dancer at the time I joined, it helped me feel supported, and encouraged me to go further with my hobby/fitness journey.

I've had several deep tissue massage sessions with Wendy. She has been instrumental in my recovering from shoulder surgery. In addition to her massage techniques to relieve soreness and pain in my shoulder, she also gave me excellent advice on at-home exercises to aid in my recovery. Highly recommend! Also her studio is very nice and relaxing. :)

Classes with Wendy at Motif and Movement Studio & Spa are the best! Wendy is knowledgeable in multiple yet connected areas and disciplines including Sports Medicine, Middle Eastern (MENHAT) Dances, Yoga and Ayurveda. She is actively learning new topics and revisits the knowledge of what she has mastered. I have taken many classes and workshops with Wendy over the years and always look forward to the next one. Wendy creates a warm, inviting, safe, space for everyone to come join in and feel welcome. Expect to feel comfortable, make new friends, and learn a lot at Motif in Movement as Wendy creates community with everyone who comes.

Wendy is the BEST! She is my favorite instructor in the DMV area. Incredibly knowledgeable, excellent at teaching. Engaging and encouraging, and a super fun person! You will always get more than what you pay for taking her classes. Highly recommend!!

Excellent studio and spa in a beautiful space. Wendy is a professional and very knowledgeable in all kinds of "Movement". I have always enjoyed yoga practice under her instruction. I can not wait to try Ayurveda spa treatment there!
