This company is full of lies, deceit, and ripping off their members of services. Not only are they closing this location, they will more than likely raise prices at the new one. Not to mention how they will cut out the grandfathered rates of long term members. They do not care about their members, and even less about the quality of their services.

Shawn the personal trainer is constantly targeting a select few of us, he approaches us and causes a scene constantly. Instead of taking it to someone higher up or speaking to us privately. I feel targeted, I finally reported it to the manager in charge who was extremely professional about the situation and helpful. Even though when I was trying to have a private conversation in her office with her Shawn barged in, and started making a scene again in front of the manager. Which left a very unprofessional opinion about him and some of the staff at the gym. The manager did a wonderful job though. I appreciate someone good in the gym finally after having jack there. She is the only reason I'm giving the gym 3 stars. Which would have been a definite 1 star with the lack of the sauna and dated gym equipment. So thank you for her.

Big spacious club with enough parking. Decently maintained. The new one at valley mall is superb with the pool, but i still prefer the older one since most of the crowd has moved to the new location leaving this one with zero wait times for all the equipments especially the free squat racks

I worked at OneLife Northern Ave for 8 months before transferring to the new location at Valley Mall. I've worked for MANY gyms over the past 10 years and there is really something special about OneLife. If you're looking for a gym with an excellent staff to help you reach your fitness goals and make you feel comfortable and confident, OneLife is the place to go! Northern Ave OLF offers a great variety of strength and cardio equipment, a ladies training area, functional training turf, cardio cinema, hydro massage, dry saunas, and tanning.

Overall pretty good, a few of the things like cable and benches could be fixed, when it's busy finding smaller dumbbell weight can be a challenge, and atmosphere is either chill or filled with obnoxious people. But those are the downs, the ups; it has a lot of space, majority of the time it has enough equipment for everyone, 4 squat racks, multiple benches, decline for dumbbells, child care( the best feature, a ton of stuff for the kids to do).

Good equipment and nice staff but facility and equipment is poorly maintained. Sauna in men's locker room has not worked for several months and finally they decided to just shut it down. Equipment in video room is loud and a couple control boards on elliptical's do not work - reported it but no response. They charge an annual maintenance fee yet the equipment continues to get worse. I think they are just waiting for the new location to open so they can shut this location down.

Place needs a serious update on ALL equipment and interior. I understand they are waiting for the New one at the Valley Mall. However, don't we need to take care and show our best appearance NOW. Taking over the Golds which was HORRIBLE! Now One Life comes in and we are reminded why the GOLDS GYM was HORRIBLE. Staff is friendly but they are limited to what they can do to please new customers.

It is a really good fitness facility. I joined for a small one time fee and a reasonable monthly payment. Has a place to keep your kids active and occupied while you work out and a fitness room just for women. It has several smaller workout spaces including a workout cinema, so you can watch a movie while you are pedalling, ellipiticizing, or treadmilling along. The downside is that the only local club is on the North eend of Hagerstown, but a Valley Mall location will open in the fall.

As someone who took the time to scout out local gyms equipped with a child care option, I can say that I am absolutely impressed with Onelife Fitness. Onelife Fitness offers quality child care with an amazing group of ladies. My two children love these ladies like they are family and enjoy going daily. Both my husband and myself were interested in personal training since we were amateurs at the gym. We were paired up with two trainers who have done a phenomenal job with assisting us in our healthy lifestyle endeavors. Chris and Shawn are two standup trainers who modify trainings to fit each individual's needs. My husband and I also attend the Intensity class taught by Chris which is an interval training class that offers high and low impact options to suit all needs. Chris demonstrates proper form execution for each station/ exercise and will provide individual instruction as needed. This class is one for the books - give it a shot! :) I look forward to going to Onelife on a nearly daily basis not only because of the services that are offered, but because it feels like my home away from home. Over the last several months, I have come to know more staff members and gym members alike, and these people have become close friends, warm acquaintances, and friendly faces that I look forward to seeing. Thank you, Onelife for helping to change my life.

Good equipment, but the gym and particularly the bathrooms could be cleaner. One life bought Golds o/a January, and the hours changed from 24x7 to less than 24x7 when that happened. There are no racquetball rooms and there is no pool. After work hours, i.e. 4pm to 8pm, the gym is unacceptably busy. I work out in the mornings when it is less crowded and there is a more friendly group working out. They are building up a section of the gym with cross training equipment. There are a number of aerobic classes including zumba and there is a separate cardio equipment area for women. They also have a theater room where they play older movies and you can use exercise bikes, treadmills and similar equipment.

The classes are great for all ages- and abilities.
Laura Barnes is one of the instructors that I have taken Body Pump from and she really made me feel comfortable when I was a beginner and didnβt know exactly what size weights to use.
She is also very energetic- and makes you want to come back the following week!!
I would recommend her class to anyone that wants a good workout- and also wants to have fun!!! :)

Used to be great. Recently got a membership here about a month or so ago. Now they are changing their hours from 24 hrs a day to closing at 8 on the weekends and 10 on Friday. They're still open until 12pm on weekdays. Its unfortunate. And the hours change is going to cause a lot of people to leave including myself. The new gym theyre building at the mall better be 24 hours or they are going to run their own business into the ground. No one should pay an arm and a leg for a membership to not even have the gym because 24hrs

Gold's gym (which is one life fitness now) is A pretty decent gym. I don't like that every time I turn around there is another fee coming out of my account. For example, an extra 60 can out of my account the other day and whe my husband called they said that it is a yearly members fee. We haven't even been members for a full year yet so I didn't understand that. I do like the ladies that work at the kids club in the morning. They are awesome and my daughter loves them.

Absolutely ridiculous service. Do not buy vip membership, i have come here for months now and had no problem with bringing a partner, and all of a sudden it is a problem to have a guest without a valid ID. they only have one person at night who usually doesn't pay attention to anything and maybe will do a trash run once in a while. My usual guest is now sitting down waiting for me to finish my workout because we drove all the way from Hagerstown. I used to love this place but recently it has gone down hill, and my friends and i may be taking our business elsewhere

What a disaster. Seems like they spent all of their money on the bathrooms instead of equipment. Terribly dissorganized, dumbbells everywhere around the way weight rack, instead of on the weight rack. And the the weights that were on the rack, were not in any type of order which made it hard for me to find the weights that I wanted. Same goes with the straight barbells and curved barbells. Also, terribly overpriced, $35 for one week membership... I pay $20 a month at my home gym, and that includes everything. I do not recommend

I received a one week pass to Gold's Gym in Hagerstown. My gym recently closed and I am looking to join another gym. I didn't like Gold's. I found it to be dirty and a lot of the equipment is also dirty and not in good shape. The instructors in the classes were very impersonal and did not even acknowledge me. They did NOT teach to the class, but seemed to be performing for their own benefit/workout. They did not stress form or teach what they were doing.

I belong to the Golds Gym in Waynesboro,PA which is less than 20 miles from this Hagerstown,MD location. I called the Hagerstown location asking if I could use their facility because Waynesboro closes early on sundays while Hagerstown is open 24 hours. The guy on the phone wasn't rude but he informed me that I would need to pay an additional $6 just to work out there for the day. I think this is incredibly ridiculous. I don't care if you are different franchises or not , have some other name if you aren't going to validate any membership. When I was recently traveling in Los Angeles, CA ( almost 3000 miles away) I was able to work out in several golds gyms for FREE with my current Golds Gym membership. For this I will never recommend Hagerstown Golds gym and really; step your game up.

The last manager, Lori Thomas, is gone for a while as I understand it. She was argumentative and not receptive to member feedback. Plus, it looked like she was running a doggie day care center in her office with baby gates across both office doors.
I like the new manager. However, when they replaced Kat with Diana Reyes to manage the GXX Class Schedule, many members became dissatisfied. Members attend classes because the scheduled time fits their personal schedules and they like the class. So, I don't understand why they constantly need to change the classes and times. You have to check the class schedule on a weekly basis to confirm the time and date.
The class scheduler is out of touch with the members. She is replacing classes like Body Pump and Pilates with classes that older members cannot physically perform. I understand the need to try new things but when you have a successful class attended by 25 - 30 people, why change it. Change a class that has minimal attendance.
