I've done a lot of classes here with a variety of coaches. Hannah is the head trainer and is awesome! Love the studio/gym set up and the service has always been excellent. It's really easy to use the app to sign up for classes as well.

I scheduled what was advertised as a free consultation at this gym, but was later charged a $30 no-show feeβsomething that was never disclosed upfront. There was no mention of this policy during the booking process, and I certainly wouldn't have agreed if Iβd known.
To make matters worse, I tried to call the facility to discuss the charge. The representative put me on hold and then hung up on me. When I called back, they simply refused to answer my calls. This kind of unprofessional and evasive behavior is incredibly frustrating and unacceptable from any business.
Itβs clear this gym is more interested in taking money than building trust or offering real service. If this is how they treat potential clients, I can only imagine what the long-term experience would be like. I strongly urge others to think twice before giving your timeβor moneyβto this place. There are plenty of gyms out there that value transparency and respect their clients.

They charged me for almost two years after i canceled. No contact. They refused to contact me back. I never received emails for two years. Yet they still charged me!!! Fraud for sure. Be careful of this studio. I left so many messages only to never be contacted back. Horrible ownership. I wouldnβt recommend

I love the community atmosphere and the positive energy at this location! Every coach that I have taken (Rafi, Elizabeth, Justin and Peju) is super helpful and makes every effort to ensure everyone in the class has a great workout no matter where they are in the fitness journey. Workouts made easy... just show up! I am a busy working mom and don't have time to put thought into what physical activity to do. I know staying active is important for my health, and Orangetheory makes it easy for me to get it done. This place may not be suitable for workout fanatics, but it's definitely a go-to for beginners and intermediate workout goers. Shout out to the trainers who keep the workouts energetic and motivating the clients!

My friend and I were looking for a workout class where we could spend time together while getting in a sweat. We show up to orangetheory 30 mins early for the tour of the facility and to review our goals along with any medical restrictions. Personally, I am recovering from a broken foot and sprained ankle but was cleared by my doctor to go, so I communicated this to the coach to inform her I may need modifications for some exercises. We also reviewed my goal of creating healthy habits (note, I am a larger woman and am purposefully not focusing on trying to lose weight).
During the workout, it was difficult to hear the instructor, but I continued to push on. As the workout progressed, I was in the red zone for 55/60 minutes yet did NOT feel like I was pushing myself to that point. The instructor continued to come by to ask if I was okay and suggested I take breaks to a point where I told her I think my band is not accurate. The instructor put so much concern on my inaccurate red zone to a point where she decreased my weight in the middle of a block of work without even talking to me about it.
At the end of the 60 minute workout, the instructor went around to review our stats and suggest what plan she recommends for us individually. When she reviewed my stats she said to not worry about the high red zone times and that the bands do not work for everyone (if so, then why did you put such an emphasis on it during our workout after I told you multiple times I think something is wrong with my band?). And she recommended the unlimited class per month program so I can "see results quickly." Interesting suggestion and statement considering my goal is to create healthy habits. I felt like this suggestion was assuming I wanted to lose weight, so why bother even disclosing our goals if you are just going to assume my goals for me?
Afterwards, I found out the front desk incorrectly put my birthday as 1960 instead of 1996, which is the reason why I was in the red zone so often.
I will not be going back to orangetheory because I felt ashamed to be in the red zone so much in my first class and the fact that the instructor put a negative stigma on being in the red zone for me to a point where she changed my weight in the middle of a block of work is unacceptable for me.
This coupled with completely bypassing my personal goals and just assuming I wanted to lose weight confirms this is not the right environment for anyone looking to better themselves beyond their appearance.
I am leaving orangetheory feeling like the environment is shallow and does not listen to your feedback nor personal goals. I would not recommend orangetheory, especially if you're overweight.

This was a fun workout! I like that I could work at a pace that was comfortable for me and at no time did the coach harass me for taking a break or slowing down. Camilla was encouraging throughout. The changing pace/activities also kept me from getting bored. I would definitely recommend.

The facility in itself is nice. There is a lack of explanation in regards to policies and expectations.
Ex: 1)I was not told that I would need to purchase or rent a heart rate monitor when I signed up in person
2) today I arrived in the door at the 5 min mark and was told that I had to be in position no later than 5 min so I would not be allowed into the studio.
I expressed that I was new member and I was not informed on the policy.
Mariah was very matter of fact, and unmoved. She had an obvious lack of empathy for myself as the consumer. She actually told me that it would be rude to the βpaidβ trainer for me to be late and that the policy was in the contract I signed (that I was not given a copy)
Policies are policies but they should be vocal about them. Everyone doesnβt thoroughly read and remember details in a contract, and it doesnβt help that they donβt give any literature

Clearly the lady have some attitude problem and organizational issues no call to confirm the class and they seemed least bothered. I was so excited to have my friends try the class with me we were late by 5-10mins and the lady on front desk was so rude soon after she saw us she said we are not taking u in so blunt and rude, the paper work would take less than 5mins being a member i know it. Get your front desk ppl attitude right. I wouldn't suggest anybody here for ppl there have a attitude problem

Yet to experience the class n staff but i went 10 mins early to my first session and i was denied as i didnt see my email to reach 30 mins early for first class. It takes 5 mins to be informative or 10 max if you want to be. I was made to fill the form and i filed in less than a min. I do understand their policy, i still feel i missed my tennis game and bike ride for this session and i was mad to not let me be part of it. And i didnt exercise enough for the day and im no novice if not any better. So overall not judging anyone but this could have been done after me signing my waivers n policies which is usually 5-10 mins.

It can be a great workout once you get use to the rhythm and flow of the workout. Every individual gets a heart monitor to keep track of their heart rate progression into the orange realm. Red zone means you're working too hard. Green you're almost in the orange. Blue means you arent working up to your heart rate.
The coach instructs each section of what to do and gives instructions to progress the workout. The main goal is to work hard to get your heart rate in the orange to burn enough calories throughout 24-48 hours. There are three sections in the gym. Row section, treadmill section and the weight/floor section.
Its hard to hear the coach sometimes due to the music and you have to focus and pay attention to what section the coach is giving instructions to. Orangetheory Fitness is like a highly dated. younger co-ed version of the Curves; a fitness center for beginner level, older women. I gave Orangetheory Fitness 3 stars due to boredom. I get bored easily and wouldn't want to pay over $100 in membership fees to attend the three section gym. Orangetheory Fitness does have other classes like weight training. -Anika

Don't be late!
I've been a member for a year and a half and have never been late. Today, I was 9 minutes late because of pouring rain. They wouldn't let me in and wouldn't give me my class back when there wasn't a wait list. Just as well. I don't feel safe working out here during COVID when few members wear masks and people aren't distanced far enough.

LOVE Orangetheory Fitness in Owings Mills. The workouts are different every class and the instructors are always so supportive. I was worried that I wouldn't be "fit enough" to keep up with this high intensity workout, but the instructors are always offering modified moves when needed, and honestly I realized I was a lot stronger then I thought!

This new Orangetheory Fitness location was a Godsend in my life.
I was traveling for 30 minutes to another location and now this location is less than 5 minutes away. I thoroughly enjoy the classes and the trainers are motivating me to obtain the best out of my workout. The staff is friendly and when I arrive I'm usually called by my name. This location has plenty of parking and I love it.

I was pretty excited about this gym coming to my neighborhood and was looking forward to trying out something new. They offer a free first session which is nice so you can try it out before committing. I sign up for my first class and get there about 5 minutes early and they tell me I had to be there a half an hour early to set me up. That would have been fine if the person I spoke to on the phone would have mentioned that. Ok, no big deal. The woman at the desk schedules me for another class the week after. I get there, and guess what.. she didnβt actually schedule me, and I wasnβt able to take the class despite coming a half hour early. So I wasted my time twice to go here and not take a class. Clearly they have some organizational issues and canβt seem to get it together. Pretty lame but Iβm definitely not going to waste my time for a third time π€·π»ββοΈ
