Also, sometimes the lazy staff / owners / managers don’t bother getting out of bed to open up. Big line outside at 6am bc no one showed up to work. I pay for the gym yet right now I don’t have access. So what am I paying for?

The showers in the ladies room have been closed for 3 weeks now. When I call to see if they are open , no one seems to know. It is a waste of time to come to this site to work out if I can't shower afterwards. I end up going to a 24 hr PF location. This is an inconvenience. I will transfer to Reisterstown.

This is my first time in this gym and unfortunately the experience has been very unpleasant. Aside from the AC not working, I arrived today at 6am and waited over 30 min for the location to open which posted on their door says 6am to 11pm. (Also side note the Google ad needs to be updated as they are no longer 24/7). If you have a busy schedule and need to get a workout done before your day starts DO NOT come to this location as you will be wasting your morning waiting in the parking lot for an employee to open the business. I never got to work out that day and I had to leave. 30 min of my day was wasted waiting. It is very annoying paying for services that 1)you can’t rely on and 2) utilize during its posted business hours.

Unlike the other Planet Fitness just up Reisterstown Road, this location has an incline chest machine, which is nice. I also like how there isn't cold air blowing down my neck on every machine, so the warmth that many people are complaining about is definitely a plus for me.

The only drawbacks for me would be that the dumbbells only go up to 60lbs, rather than the normal 75lbs at Planet Fitness locations, and that this location isn't open 24/7. Other than that, it’s really just a typical Planet Fitness that meets expectations.

Needs more staff!!!
The person that works at the front door is also the person that gives you a tour of the gym so if they are giving someone a tour, no one is working at the front door. Stood at the front for 15 minutes waiting for an employee and when he came back, he said he’s sorry he was giving someone a tour of the gym. I’m a black card member and after my workout, I wanted to sit in the massage chair, but I only had 15 minutes left before I had to leave the gym so that entire 15 minutes I stood waiting for an employee instead of using my privileges and sitting in the massage chair after my workout… pretty pissed about it.
All the other planet fitnesses have a calendar with a schedule and particular times for tours because during that time people were trying to purchase something people need help with signing in and some people can just walk in for free if they don’t have a membership because for 15 to 20 minutes, no one is at the front

I gave three starts because the staff members were amazing but there is only one air conditioner working on a hot summer day. The place is so hot I could not finish my workout.You collect 25$ monthly fees from members and you can’t even make the place conducive for people to workout.
Update day 2: I will continue updating till the Air Conditioning is fixed. We pay too much to be working out in a place hot as hell. Management should do their job and get it fixed. As the owner requested I spoke with the front desk and they said they have informed management about It. The place was empty on a weekday evening because people can’t stand the heat.

One of the worst gyms I’ve ever been too. Poorly managed, lazy employees. Consistently there is equipment where they don’t belong. Trash on the floor. Not to mention the bathroom and water fountain have been out of service for going on a month. A/C is never on and there are multiple leaked from the ceiling.

I’ll start with the positives. I really enjoy the staff. They’re friendly and helpful.

There’s a few things that do need to be addressed and I really hope this location does some type of remodel or overhaul because this place has great potential!

1. The mats are torn and raggedy.
2. The ceiling is always leaking. There are mini puddles all over the place.
3. The toilets don’t flush well and they’re always clogged and some of the stalls are out of order, leaving 1-2 messy stalls available with no toilet paper/covers.
4. It’s so hot in there. It’s like the a/c only cools one spot which is near the stair masters. Everywhere else is muggy.
5. The water fountain has been broken for too long for it to be as hot as it is in there. I have to drink more water because it’s hot so what I bring in my water bottle is not enough anymore.
6. Hip thrust machine and some others have been out of order for like a month or more.

When there are several negatives, small things feel like big things. The condition of this gym motivates me to go out of my way to go to another fresher, better maintained PF 20 mins away and I’ll do that until this one makes some much needed changes.

This is one of the most backwards run facilities ever. Such as shame young people do not know how to interact with the public. I have been with pf since they opened in Md.first in timonium. The location always needs repairs,closes early, and use to turn off the light prior to closing. What a way to treat clients. Recently the water fountain breaks. I was there and a young lady says we have to charge you for water. I told her they never did before. She states the water was working as if I had to make it up. Then a black member ask can he get a water, she says yes, he walk out.I am also and a La fitness and merrit. Let's do the math. A case of water retail is 399 which is under 20 cents for a service that is mandatory for one leasing a facility monthly.Not to mention a black card member.Teach your staff how to keep business not to lose it

Pros:
*Great friendly staff. Morgan especially deserves 5 stars for his friendly helpfulness.
*Paper towels and cleaning sprays are well stocked
Cons:
*Broken equipment (some are dangerously in disrepair). Please see pictures that I took in gym. Isn't it common sense for management to make sure that these things are taken care of? I've been a member at many gyms and I have worked at two gyms. These sorts of repairs are typically common sense, at least for well-trained management. If a gym member has to point these things out to the management then the ownership needs to either retrain the management or get new management.
*Layout of gym is difficult to navigate with some equipment poorly placed (ie too close to other peices of equipment)
*Not enough doubles of certain peices of equipment.
*Lots of missing attachments.
*Dirty bathroom (but this could be the members that are causing the issue rather than the staff)
*Dumbell racks are not set up from low to high (ie, low at the far left and high at the far right). Instead each individual rack seems to start over. Very confusing. I suspect that the reason most of the weights are out of order is because of this confusing configuration.
* Lots of things are in disrepair, from the lockers at the front to the equipment.

I’m brand new to Planet Fitness at the Reisterstown location and during my very first visit, I inadvertently left the water bottle I had just bought in the tanning room. When I realized I had left my water in the room, I poked my head in as it was being cleaned and asked the attendant if he had seen it. He gave me a shy smile and said “hold on, I’ll be right back”. As I followed him out to the lobby, I realized he was grabbing a new water bottle from the fridge and was using his own money to buy me a new water! I was so blown away at this absolute selfless act of kindness! I made sure to pay him back - my absentmindedness wasn’t his fault, yet without thinking twice this young man displayed more character, kindness and professionalism in five minutes than I’ve seen from most adults. Kudos to the Reisterstown Planet Fitness and the exceptional staff!

We love planet fitness. I have different locations I prefer for different specifics
but the Reisterstown location is our home gym has the machines we enjoy just wish they were 24hrs and the spa equipment was maintenance regularly. Always down and at this location certain late nights the staff is hard to locate
so the spa room is alway a hit or miss after a 10pm workout but whatever not a biggie ..but for the most part we get our money worth . All the locations we go to are always very clean . We like going when it’s less crowds later in the evening. So that determines which location we visit.

I’ve never been to this location, but decided to go workout while my children attended the library. Upon entering I approached the front desk, a gentleman with dreadlocks was standing at the counter. I proceeded to tell him I didn’t have the app and could I give him my number. He made a no gesture with his head. I then asked why couldn’t I use my number as I always do. He explained if i don’t have the app I can only use my home gym. This was weird to me because I use my number at serval locations ellicott city, greenbelt , etc. I’ve never been told this, so I asked was this just policy at this location. He said no all locations. His demeanor gave off that he didn’t feel like being bothered.

Location works when I can’t make it to my home gym but it doesn’t seem clean. The hand sanitizer stations are ALWAYS empty! When I walked to the front desk the very polite rep said he’s tried on multiple occasions with management to get sanitizer and unfortunately nothing! We matter! I’ve been to various locations and this one is the most unwelcoming NEVER AGAIN! I was hounded by a worker today, and you guys know when it’s not what you say but how you say it.. it was that type of situation. When the manager was brought to me he wasn’t nice either and I was literally in the middle of doing a workout I just got off the machine cleaned it and left. I felt so discouraged today by a simple misunderstanding. I wasn’t bothering anyone I wasn’t loud or causing a scene. Being followed by the employee had all eyes on us and I just gave up and left. I don’t like conflict so I put my pride aside changed my clothes and went to the another location to finish my workout for the day. They were so pleasant and I was told that what the lady scolded me for was rude & uncalled for and actually not even a rule. Goodness stay far away from them they don’t even greet you here they just stand around and glare. I didn’t appreciate a man trying to argue with me I would’ve rather a female manager take me to the side and talk to me privately so we don’t interrupt others. Planet fitness is usually my comfort spot, I will try other locations from now on! It’s not the company it’s just rude employees

this location is horrible. upon walking In i wasn't greeted properly I was immediately asked if I had a change in shoes(I came in my work clothes but had my gym bag in hand). it was extremely warm and the location had a smell to it. it doesn't smell like they clean often there. I tried to be a trooper and continue to the locker room to change and give it a try and the smell I was met with made me sick to my stomach. I immediately grabbed my things and drove over 38-40 mins to the location close to my home. I wish I could give it zero stars. idk if its because of the location or lack of staff but this location is neglected and needs change or it should be closed.

The staff at the information booth/concierge are friendly and helpful. They assisted me with my digital application. The gym is spacious with plenty of cardio machines. The bodybuilding machines and free weights are sturdy and great to use. There are also additional perks to enjoy. The parking space is big and safe. I can't wait to go back to this gym, I love it!

Horrible customer service. I have been a member for over a year. This location is new for me. After coming to this location for a week. I was notified my shoes were not safe. That’s perfectly fine and understandable. But dont wait a whole week to inform me when i have my routine going. And then tell me to go to another gym. Management is rude and the staff are useless. All though staff are friendly, this planet fitness is incredible dirty. The machines, the bathrooms, floors, floor boards, equipment, walls, etc. I've watched the "cleaning" of the machines and it's a duster with no cloth, cleaning solution or anything to clean the entire piece of equipment including cupholders, Phone holder, etc. I try to avoid using the women's bathroom because it's gross all the time. They need to hire professional cleaners and clean the entire gym properly for sanitary and health reasons.

Planet Fitness is really close to my house, so that's a plus. In addition to that, it serves my gym needs nicely. All I need are dumbbells, a cable system and a treadmill. All of that is at Planet Fitness. My only criticism is that the Planet Fitness in Baltimore is not open 24/7 anymore. It closes at 10pm on Fridas, and it's only open from 7am to 7pmbon Saturday and Sunday. I assume this has something to do with COVID-19, but that hasn't been a serious concern for a while now. In fact, I happen to know that Planet Fitness gyms in other states (Texas and North Carolina are locations that I know of) are open 24/7. There is NO INTELLIGENT REASON for Planet Fitness in Baltimore to keep the COVID-19 schedule.

Buyer Beware-
First off, let me state the irony of the fact I went to Planet fitness on 4/16 to downgrade my account. I no longer wanted to be in the PF black membership which charges $25 per month. Instead, I wanted to downgrade my membership to the $10/mo membership.

However, after speaking with Dale Henderson, I was told I had to cancel my membership completely. I complained and pointed out I really didn't want to cancel my membership but they have no way to change your membership.

So I received an email with cancellation details. My cancellation date is listed as 4/16. My last day to use the club is 4/17 but I just checked my checking account and got billed - $24.99 on 4/18. Effectively they are billing me after I can use the service they provide.
Further, the documentation says the request effective date is 5/16/2023. How can it take a whole month to process a cancellation?
Further, how can a company continue to charge after they no longer provide their clients access to the service they are charging for?
I am sure these are questions which have legal precedent and can be answered by a legal professional.
Again, the irony is I went to not cancel but to downgrade my membership.
When I called the local club, they said it is because I cancelled within a "10 day" period but that does not vibe with the 5/16 date seen on my documentation, again a full month after I cancelled.

When I asked about speaking with national customer service, they said, "you can google a number". When I found a number for national HQ, they say, "each club is a franchise that has its independent owner". So I guess that is their way of saying everyone makes their own rules.

I am going to continue to investigate this. Again, the irony is I was not trying to cancel and wanted to remain a member at $10/mo but that option was not offered. However, as I am getting the "run around" by customer service and being charged for a service I can no longer use, I am now feeling I may never be a planet fitness member again.

I plan to continue to investigate this and would like to be made whole by 1. either getting the most recent $25 refunded or allowing the final use date to reflect I just paid for another month of exercise 2. reaching out to national "planet fitness" to ensure this club's policies are in line with the national standards and 3. further pursuing investigation against this branch by consumer protection watch dog agencies

I really like this planet fitness they have a lot of good equipment I just wish they had some more barbell equipment as opposed to the Smith machines. Besides that staff is great and there's plenty of areas to get all kinds of creative workouts. The total body area is cool the massage chairs are great even though they don't work sometimes and the hydro massage lounges and chairs are pretty cool too although they also don't work sometimes.
