There have been multiple reports of employees taking pictures of naked showering women, as well as when they are changing. The management does nothing about it even though reports are made and an employee had to quit due to management telling him to do nothing when allegations are brought to his attention. Women stay on guard in this place please watch out for your privacy and safety. There is no customer support to talk to they do not have your best interest at heart.

I am down here at the Planet Fitness location on Patapsaco Avenue. Been here since around 7AM and, although the signage posted at the location lists its opening time at 7AM, no staff is present and I am unable to get in. When I arrived, two members were present. Also, several arrived later and left. At 7:52AM, I still stand here and staff still hasn't arrived. I pay membership fees for access. Given the current economy---stagnant wages, the specter of additional inflation as a result of US policy changes---I am contemplating canceling my membership. Often when I come here, the staff is not present at the desk and I have to look for someone to purchase Gatorade. I will say, that the staff is friendly and welcoming when they are visible. Planet fitness you need to understand that the dollars spent on fitness are discretionary, as the service you provide is not essential. In light of current economic trends and consumer sentiments, you need to be extremely mindful of your customer service. It is now 8:03AM, and no staff has arrived.

Arrived at 7:45am and the gym is not open. A window sign posted says open at 7am (which I thought this was a 24 hour gym when I signed up) many of us are still waiting. Not good when people have planned schedules for the day. This is not the first time.

Well they have roaches..😑 I normally come here to tan,over the past few weeks Ive had to wait extended amounts of time just be acknowledged by an employee. They either are in the lounge area with friends eating and carry on or not even in the gym... waited 15 minutes on day I even called the location while I was standing there😂.the girl comes wandering in 20 minutes later😒I went tanning 3 days in a row one week, the same opened used tanning lotion was in the room for 3 days. Soo that tells me enough that they don't clean the floors room or beds🫠. The nail salon next door has mice traps all over the place sooo I'm sure they have rats as well... Sanitize the equipment before each use,health hazard place

This Planet Fitness feels very middle-of-the-road — not bad, but not exceptionally great either. I’ve definitely been to better locations. When I say 3 out of 5, I mean that within the context of Planet Fitness gyms specifically. This one is on the smaller side. It has some nice pieces of equipment, but overall, there just isn’t a lot of volume. For example, 1 type of flat chest press machine, 1 pec fly for the whole gym, 3 smith machines only, etc etc….

That said, everything is pretty clean, and the staff is friendly. One thing worth mentioning is that a lot of the equipment here is updated. However, I actually don’t see that as a good thing. I believe the brand is Matrix — though don’t quote me that this is the new brand plant fitness chose.

It’s a downgrade compared to what Planet Fitness usually offers, which is typically Life Fitness or Hammer Strength.

This isn’t just about biomechanics or personal preference — I genuinely think the newer equipment is objectively worse. It’s not a deal-breaker for everyone, but for me and my goals, it's a big enough factor that I wouldn’t come to this location regularly. I’m just visiting, but this wouldn’t be my go-to gym.

You might really like the equipment, but for me, it’s a miss. The only upgrades I actually liked were in the adductor machine and glute machine. But the leg press, cable racks, leg extension, hamstring curls — most of it, I just don’t prefer.

I've been visiting this location for a while, and y'all still didn't make Steve a manager or anything yet. This guy has been here for years, and he's still on the same level, no move up. I'm a doctor at John Hopkins, and he's so helpful. Everyone I ask said he's the best, and we need to talk to someone about this because it's not right at all, and I'm so disappointed in this matter. Who can I talk to about this?

This is easily one of the worst gyms I've been too in my life. Half the machines are broken, the AC don't work in the men's room or the black card lounge I'm actively paying for, the music cuts in and out and the TVs don't work all the time. I never see any other employee outside of Skylar doing any actual work so if she's not there the drinks don't get refilled, the weights don't get put back, the napkins or sprays don't get her replaced. I have never once seen a manager in this place ever nor have I even heard of the place having one, we get double charged or charged extra fees that no one can explain. You would think a district manger or regional manager would get involved by now to help get the gym on track and stop Skylar who by the way is a part timer works 6 days a week and work doubles every weekend but apparently helping the staff isn't on the agenda for management. While I'm speaking on management, they don't even do the jobs that can be done remotely. I witness on a regular members getting upset over lack of ready available resources and it's up the the part timer to do the things management gets paid to do. I've also witnessed people cancel their membership over poor management. I think if Skylar was the manager this place would run alot better and would be rated more highly with better member retention rate but I guess planet fitness prefers mediocre performance over hard workers.

I joined PF BC it was close to my home and what I thought would be convenient but after 5 weeks and having visited 4 other PF bc my job, this one in the most inconvenient by far.. good luck finding something as single as a pin for the weights on the machine. Tanning Bed 1 don’t work, bed 2 face bulbs don’t work , stand up tanning 3 door don’t shut on machine, haven’t been in standup 4 yet.. I’ve never once written a review on Google but this is needed.. it’s been 5 weeks and it’s the same ole same one.. any other PF I’ve been in, never needed a pin, beds have worked.. for convenience I have to go to Pasadena when this PF is right around the corner

In the Baltimore area for work and visited this location. Walked in and there was no one at the front desk. Looking around noticed that the workout area was somewhat clean. Disinfectant bottles were empty. Finally noticed a PF employee sitting in a chair next to the desk with headphones on and on his phone. Some of the cable machines did not have a pin to set the weight. Also, multiple teens just sitting on machines for long periods of time and not putting their free weights back on the racks or cleaning the machines after they use them. Did a quick 30 min workout and left. Will look for another PF while I am here.

I think this is a good gym! I started going when they first opened, and still go to this gym! They do leave machines broken sometimes but they do end up being fixed. Bathroom/locker room is mostly always clean. Amy, I think her name is, she is very soft spoken and helpful with whatever I need help with. They are 24/7 tue-fri I believe.

Most important I love the staff here. Always smiling and positive attitudes. My husband and I been coming here for three years or more. Always a good experience. However, only issue is the equipment. Which needs to be upgraded or maintained. It seems like the manager puts in the work order but it takes a long time for equipment to be serviced. I travel across the country and I have been in dozens of Planet Fitness locations. I would not recommend this one to anyone. The parking lot was extremely full at midday. I would not recommend anyone driving a vehicle larger than a van come to this location. I was greeted by a pleasant male employee. Exercise equipment is in order, but there seems to be a lot of sketchy people in this location. My chief complaint is the ladies locker room is absolutely disgusting. Three out of four toilets completely out of order. I’ve seen cleaner bathrooms at a Circle K gas station.

Trying to resolve a billing error is very frustrating! My account is saying that I owe the annual fee when it was deducted from my bank account plus more! It's impossible to get a manager because they don't have 1. And when asked for a corporate phone number or point of contact's info to rectify the issue, they refused to provide the information.
Edit- so I've attempted several times to resolve this matter today and was unsuccessful. I've called the location again, called # ABC billing number that was provided to me just to be told they couldn't help me and I sent the email with my review comment. I decide to go into the location to cancel the membership entirely just to be told that I couldn't because I owe $49! So not only dont they know where my money is that they deducted from my checking and won't assist me in resolving, NOW they are saying I have to pay another $49 just to cancel! But they are still deducting the $10 for a membership that I can't use.
July 22nd update ..... On July 13th I sent over the account info requested by planet fitness, I received confirmation on July 14th that they received the information and would be looking into the situation. As of today, I haven't heard anything back from anyone. I've sent 2 follow-up emails inquiring about the situation and yet and still no one has reached back out to me.
Aug 13th - I have not received a call back and I'm extremely disappointed with customer service. Knowing that when I come into the location, you all have me scan my app to pull up the account info to see if the account is active and clearly saw that it showed there was an outstanding balance. And that you don't have any record of deducting $64 out of my account even though I've sent you documentation showing that it did deduct from my account. And I could not use the services. You used that as an opportunity to respond back to a dispute as if I was able to use the services and I couldn't! Highly unprofessional that after I sent over the documentation and follow up emails that I didn't get a response BUT received an email afterwards for a cancellation that I was told I couldn't do when I went into the location personally. But you refuse to acknowledge even with receipts that y'all took $64 from my account.

Love this gym... all the people who work there are friendly and personable. They recognize the regulars and will even have conversations. I love the atmosphere here. If the people know your goal(s) they are very encouraging! Hardly ever have an issue with cleanliness here the team there is on top of it and if they missed something and u tell them they are on it. The bathroom/lockerroom is spacious and clean the shower is phenomenal.... its like standing under a waterfall and best of all it has a door not a curtain. All in all I love this gym

Back at it again today and I ended up at this location. Though I’m not from the area, the gym was easy to find and there is ample parking.

Upon walking in, the young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and greeted me with a “Good Morning” as I scanned in and delivered a “Have a Great Workout” as I walked away from the desk. Understanding that I am big on service, that brief interaction really made me feel welcomed at this location. If I was in the market for a home gym, her delivery of service would have sold me on this location.

Getting to the equipment, this location isn’t as large as my home gym, however, they have all of the primary equipment. Along with having the primary equipment, they have a lot of it. This is a huge plus based on the understanding that the popular cardio equipment is usually all taken, this location has made an effort to ensure that there is almost always one available.

Overall, my time spent at this location was pleasant. I went. I hit the elliptical. I left. LoL!!! Oh yeah, I brought a Gatorade as well and that was a smooth transaction.

If you’re in the area and looking to hit the circuit, stop in.

Five stars. Wonderful new machines, treadmills, lots of weights. Extremely friendly staff. Sparkling clean bathrooms, never found trash on the floors. Several tv screens, huge ventilation fan, many lockers front and back. A relaxing room with massage beds and sofas. Though the gym is somewhat smaller than LA Fit, it is superior overall. Joined two months past and I am quite pleased. La fit many of their machines were broken, the floor and baths with litter, and often had to wait use some equipment and treadmills. Lastly, my monthly membership at PF is a fraction what I paid at laf.

Love this gym but I get very frustrated with the tanning beds. They are never clean when I go to use them. Apparently the staff do not clean them after people use and clean them themselves. I went in there just the other day and there were two damp napkins still laying on top the bed from the previous person who used it and sweat on the acrylic. Please clean these beds after every use. That is very unsanitary. Other than that the gym is awesome. Everyone is kind and the equipment is great.

My partner and I are traveling in our camper van across the u.s and been to countless Planet Fitnesses however this location is the most cleanest and most tidiest Planet Fitness we’ve ever been to. We have to give credit to Josue for keeping this gym so clean and tidy. He goes above and beyond in keeping this gym sparkling and organized. It’s too clean in my opinion. Right away he puts equipment away if he sees they are out of place and spends time in really cleaning the equipments. Decent PF with new equipment, rarely too busy to get anything done. Only issue is the employees seem to be very lazy. One worker i’ve never seen doing anything except taking a nap on the black couches. There is never anybody at the front desk so the “amenities” that the black card is for you can never actually use. As i write this, i’m sitting in the parking lot 30 minutes after open because nobody has come to open the gym up. And before i’m told to contact my “Club Manager” i’m pretty sure the manager is the one that posts up in the back for nap time.

Terrible, they keep charging me for months I payed, they dont do anything about it even if you show them proof that you already payed, steal your money.

This is by far my favorite PF. VERY CLEAN! All new machines... most of which compliment natural movement. Plenty of space between machines!!! This place is NOTHING like the Frederick location.
