The last four weeks it's been 80+ degress in this gym, I have no idea why. And I don't mean it's warm like how a regular gym gets warm when there's a lot of people in it, I mean the heater is on full blast at 2 in the afternoon. It'll be a beautiful 68 degress outside, and over 80 in this gym. How they've gone this long without sending someone to the hospital is beyond me. Just stay away.

The worst one in the city it’s so crazy that the mondawmin location is better than this location! I can’t wait to cancel my membership altogether they are rude and lazy (always hire young kids who don’t take the job serious) and never answer the phone you have to call over 10 times to reach someone even during non busy hours.. like what are yall even doing in there? The mondawmin location is full of college students and young adults and they still have excellent customer service and it’s always clean in there so it’s not about age! They just lack professionalism

This is my home gym that I signed up at. I've been there twice in the last 2 weeks and have been unable to tan because the staff cannot get the computer working. They took the stools out of the tanning beds rooms also so there's nowhere to hang or set your things you have to lay everything on the dirty floor. I realize they provide sanitizer for customers to use but it's as if every time I go in the beds are filthy I have to spend more time scrubbing down and then I lose tanning time. It's a great location but I wish they would do a little better

The machines are older than other locations. Also they have less hydro massage beds. The ellipticals and treadmills dont have fans or varying options as well. No personal trainers either. They do have purple tootsie candy!!

This is a nice place to work out, but I have a little complaint that I want the management to address. I registered for classes twice, and it wasn't clear whether they were online or in-person. I went to this particular location, but the staff were as confused as I was, and other people came for the same class, which none of us could attend.

I am very upset and disappointed with my recent experience at Planet Fitness. I scheduled an appointment with a trainer and received a confirmation that gave a physical location. I showed up expecting to meet with someone in person, only to be told by one staff member that they “don’t do that anymore,” and another said the appointment might not even be real.I was so confused and frustrated. I made this appointment in good faith, and not only was there no trainer, but the staff gave me conflicting answers. One even mentioned it was supposed to be virtual but nowhere in the confirmation did it say that.I wasted my time, and I felt very misled. If you’re no longer offering personal training the way you advertise, then don’t let people book it. It’s false advertising and extremely unprofessional. I expected better!

Decent gym but never any water. Also they use water in the spray bottles instead of actual cleaning solution. Not a great thing to cheap out on these days. If you're going to do that make hand sanitizer available throughout the gym. I'll be bringing my own sanitizing wipes next visit

This is the only gym in this neighborhood and I have to recommend it to my neighbors because it beats a blank, and the price is right. But the equipment is old and breaks frequently.. I want to use the Stairmaster and since 2020 they have been constantly broken down. Here's a photo with 3 of 4 out of commission. Several of the bikes are also unusable because the programming won't advance so you can't set them.

Update: eight months later, same old busted equipment and all 4 pieces broken. They stay broken more than they are fixed, These 4 stair masters have been constantly broken and on the blink since before the pandemic in 2020.

Something is always out of order. There are only 3 stairmasters (which are always in use) and for the past 3 weeks, they all have been out of order. They removed machines from the 30 minute workout area. And this gym is tiny.
I just drive the extra 5 minutes down to Pulaski Highway where they have at least 8 stair masters and that gym is much much bigger.

I would like to share an exp. I had with a Joseph Smith @ pf on Belair rd. I have found him to be is courteous, polite and extremely professional while interacting with myself and other people @ the gym. When ever I need something i look for him as I k ow he is eager to assist me. I am an older client & not good with cell phones. I frequently have issues with clocking in. Joseph will offer to help me & I feel comfortable asking him. I have also observed his interactions with other members. His interpersonal skills are by far exemplary. We are fortunate to have him as an employee. I appreciate him and look forward to coming to the gym. He is the bomb.com. He deserves a 10!!

It was so hard to cancel the memebership, even after going to the gym in-person. I went there yesterday and everyone was really friendly considering it was my first time at a gym and I'm also still in school so the whole free thing for scholars was really fortunate one of the stair masters I was on was a little unstable and I thought I was going to fall but other than that it was a vibe to there and I would still like to go even after summer everyone mostly has headphones in so it's quite quiet.

I have had really good experiences at every other planet fitness I’ve visited but this one is not the same :(. I upgraded from a classic membership to a black card membership so I could use another gym while I was on vacation. When I came home I tried to change back to my classic membership, and the staff do not know how to do that. Their manager is able to do this, but they are not allowed to give me their mangers contact info. The staff said their managers schedule is inconsistent and it could be weeks before he comes by. Ive given two different staff members my email to give to their manager and I haven’t heard anything (it’s been weeks). I contacted membership HQ at planet fitness and haven’t heard anything. I’ve already paid for an extra month of this more expensive membership simply because no one will get back to me about changing it and it seems like there’s no end in sight.

Once, I talked to a staff member on the phone who was really great! He said that he would be able to help me change my membership, and when I asked if he was the manager, he said “no, I just know how to do my job”. He told me to come to the gym within a time frame that he would be working, and when I showed up, he was not there.

I just don’t understand why the equipment is not updated, the stairclimbers have been broken for over 2 years ( if it’s not one then it’s another) all four are never working at the same time. In addition to not working, when walking in there’s barely a greeting from either one of the 2 young men sitting on the counter top on their phone, one with locks in his head , and one without. So this environment is clearly unsecured when there’s nobody paying attention to who’s walking through the door. At one point when there were young ladies at the front my son was turned away for wearing crocs, but this picture was just taken a few days ago.

Better equipment than other pfs in the area, but older lockers and the gym is always way too cold. No reason for a gym to be 60 degrees, it makes it uncomfortable to work out.
Edit: why is the gym 80+degrees in the winter? I can't even breathe in the gym. Please change how you handle temperature in the gym or people will leave.

My fault, I thought this was Towson. This one is ok but the lighting is too dark in the parking lots (front + back), the equipment was slowly updated and the staff change is extremely pleasant and courteous which is always good but I feel like the spacing for the equipment is off, especially in the freeweight section, which im noticing a lot more angst (two guys in a fit over how long he has the bench). Bathrooms are cool and I like the roll paper towels on the floor.. Big difference in cleanliness. To be frank, the biggest hurt is the hours, especially on weekends. A big draw for the community is later hours but that coupled with the later issues makes other clubs stand out, which hurts because you are closer to me and I like the environment. 🙏🏽

Today (Aug. 5, 2023), we visited this location. Upon arrival at 7:45 AM (Posted opening is 7 AM), the facility was locked and no employees anywhere in sight. There were four other vehicles parked in the lot, with people waiting for someone to open the gym. We did not stay, for there was no information posted as to what was going on. A person waiting in the parking lot stated that “this is the second time this happened this week.” We decided to visit another Planet Fitness. Please communicate with patrons as to any issues keeping the gym closed.

I wish I could give a zero star!! The staff at this gym had the audacity to call the POLICE on me and threaten to cancel my membership today because I did not want to put my SMALL backpack in their locker. I have been going to Planet Fitness for years and have never had a problem with KEEPING MY TINY BACKPACK ON MY OWN BACK while working out. Apparently they're having issues with people stealing their things, which is NOT my fault or business. They should hire smarter staff to better watch their inventory. My tiny little backpack keeps my face towels and sanitizers in it along with my ID and bank card. Who's to say the staff at the gym is to be trusted. They do have master keys to those lockers. I am NOT putting my personal items in there AND I even told them that I would be happy to open my bag for them on my way out, which I did. Also assuring them that I'd wear a fannypack going forever AND THEY STILL CALLED THE COPS! I could see if I were belligerent or something, but I was not. There is/was no notification of this policy change.Yet these ppl are harassing while I am working out, and the immense EMBARRASSMENT of having the cops called on me, what? I am appalled! This NEVER happens when I go to the Towson location. Trust, these people WILL BE HEARING FROM MY ATTORNEY. Please believe this is not a bluff!

This gym is poorly run. There was water leaking from the air conditioning system. It's often hot in the gym. One of the large fans is broken. A lot of the gym equipment is broken and out dated. The 30 minute circuit light fixture is broken. Some of the equipment do not have pad protection. 🙄 I called corporate, but nothing has been done. I went to Rosedale, they have new equipment, that had no broken equipment. I guess because of the location. I guess🙄
