I had an issues with my bank that said the payment went through and then was reversed for some reason beyond my control. I explained to the 2 helpful employees at the front but they needed further assistance they went and got someone named Neal who was NO HELP!! Didn’t care to even try and help all I wanted was my late fee waved. But due to his unwillingness to help me I have canceled my membership I don’t want to be any where where my time & hard earned money aren’t appreciated!

I love the atmosphere. I which they could clean the restrooms much better instead of having 2 to 3 persons on their phones, they could be productive cleaning the bathroom. Fix and clean the water fountain with some basic vinegar.
Fix alot of the broken lockers in the locker room. Fix the toilet tissue holder.
Overall great gym. Owner or manager need to walk the gym, you are dealing with people health.

I want to bring serious attention to a disturbing issue at this location. I believe that one of the managers here is engaging in inappropriate and predatory behavior toward potential clients. Based on my experience and what I’ve witnessed, this individual makes unwelcome sexual advances, and when those advances are rejected, he resorts to harassment, intimidation, and belittling comments through private messages.

This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable and creates a toxic and unsafe environment for clients. I strongly urge upper management or corporate to investigate this matter thoroughly and take the necessary steps to ensure all clients feel respected, protected, and safe while using this facility.

Everyone deserves to work out in a space free from harassment and abuse of power.

I want to give a shoutout to Mr. Darrell for always going above and beyond. One day, I came in without a water bottle and kept having to go to the fountain—he noticed and kindly offered me a bottle of water. That simple act of kindness really stuck with me.

He’s always working hard, keeping the area clean, and he’s consistently friendly and respectful to everyone. He greets people warmly and makes the environment feel safe and welcoming. On nights when I leave late and he’s still around, he even walks me to my car to make sure I get there safely.

Mr. Darrell is a great example of someone who truly cares about others and takes pride in what he does.

This PF location is the worst I've experienced in a long time. A lot of machines are out of order. The bathrooms are a mess. The only 2 urinals in the men's restroom are disabled. Toilet paper casing is ripped off in a stall. No seat covers in the dispenser. Trash filled to the brim. Not enough floor mats in the gym. Most of the staff just sit in the corner behind the front desk looking down at their phones.
This location can use a lot of improvement.

I have been going to this gym for about a consistent year now and the staff is excellent . Ahkeem knows all the customers by name. One morning, I had a medical emergency. He knew the movements of my workout and checked on me in which I couldn’t move. I didn’t want an ambulance, and this happened at his check off, he went and got my husband. He went above and beyond his duties. I’m grateful to this employee at planet. In addition, it’s always clean and smelling great. Ahkeem and other staff is always cleaning and moving equipment, cleaning the floors and mirrors. I come in the wee hours and the workers are making sure the gym 💪 is in excellent condition for the patrons.

DO NOT join ANY planet fitness, but specifically this one, under any circumstances! They lie to you about fees for students (16 years old), charge frivolous fees, and CONTINUE to charge fraudulent charges even after the membership has been cancelled SEVERAL TIMES! The gym manager is NEVER in, does NOT return calls, and corporate is impossible to contact. Avoid them like the plague. NEVER AGAIN.

In the mornings we need help or some kind of information and we never find it because the staff is always asleep and we spend up to more than 20 minutes waiting for them to wake up and it doesn't happen. This staff is not right, it is better for them to stay home sleeping. This has happened many times.

So I've been a member here for about 6 months, this morning while walking into the gym I was stopped because of my yeezy pods (shoes) by the manager
Neal claiming that his regional manager told him that he can't allow me to come in "with those". I have worn these shoes serval times, in this gym before. It doesn't state anything like that in the membership policy. At the minimum he could allowed me today,and asked me not to wear them again. That's terrible customer service. Great gym! I drive past a location closer to my home because the gym is clean (keeping in mind it’s an inexpensive gym), has great energy, and has finally updated so it has several Smith machines to make up for the lack of benches to do barbell presses on. If they upgraded their preset barbells to include weights more than 60 pounds, I think all members, men and women, would greatly appreciate it! Otherwise, it’s a pretty decent gym. Good staff. Not too crowded.

I read some of complaints when someone complains, stop telling them to talk to manager, by then it is too late. Someone complained about one of PF's employees attitudes, deal with your employees, how you speak to someone makes a world of difference, dont just shove your policy, (which is often confusing), down our throats, PF employees need to treat customers with respect or get fired, PERIOD.

The only reason I give two star is for the off chance a male staff is available to help. The men can retrieve items from the back and answer questions. Female staff are ornamental if you peek over the desk to see them. The female staff don’t want to get out of their seat let a lone assist someone. They don’t seem to actually serve a purpose. So today I went to the PF with my husband and the email was not right for the guest it is the second time that this happened, Linda assist but no how I think it was the right way she was loud so I did the same to her, so she change a bit and we ask her to help us she try but she is not patient at all and I said this because it was a few other guys that did not scan the barcode right and she acts like upset do it again. she try to change the email address like three times so I can go as a guest but for some reason did no go thru the email. So we decide to cancel the membership maybe we can start over because the email thing did not work so she said that she did cancel the membership and she sent the email receipt and still haven’t received for that reason I asked her to print the paper receipt she said she can not I asked her why she said I just can not do it I already cancel and I am able to go to the app and still open how is that if it is cancel? I just need my receipt that proves I cancel my membership

I can't stand this location. Only convenient sometimes, because it's one of the few that are actually open 24 hours. Outside of that the setup sucks...

1. People are in here with Crocs and slides all the time I mean did they pick and choose when they want to say something. No consistency at all.

2. The inside is too small especially in the back (it feels too congested and you don't have much space or room to do your own workouts)

3. They want you to give up an Drivers License or form of ID just to use "ropes" for cable tower????? 🤷🏾‍♂️

4. The men's bathroom has a dryer for your hands, that hasn't worked for at least the last 9 months (been like that each time I've come here), and a sink that has a weak water stream.

Planet Fitness is overall a great place to workout. Both locations in my area have been fine but I've had the same experiences at both places.The main thing I don't like is how people are allowed to linger an excessive amount of time in the ONE MINUTE total body workout (yellow) section. They sit there on their phones hogging the machines for over 20 mins at a time. That's not what that area is for and it's not being enforced at all.Also, at this (and the other) location there ALWAYS seems to be hydro-massage and Total Body Enhancement machines not working. There's already only two of each of them, so that's never good.

I WILL NEVER BE A MEMBER AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!! For the second time, I have been given the run around about canceling my membership. The biggest problem is if I wasn’t without a car due to car theft, I would still be a member. I went in person on 7/31 to cancel while I had a rental. They told me I was “too new” to cancel. My account hadn’t “synced in the system yet”, meaning they hadn’t charged me the $49 fee yet that came out the very next day. So today I call because I remembered the charge was due soon and now I’m without a vehicle. I explained to “Linda” at the District Heights location my situation about my car being stolen and I have no way to come in at this time. She stated I needed to “Mail in a certified letter to cancel because I could be anybody.” I asked was there any information I could give to verify that I am who I say I am after I informed her there was a note that was on my account concerning the same thing. I WAS HUNG UP ON. Never again! I will find a ride and fight for any money taken from me by this company.
