The location has really went down. Worn out seats on equipment, things take forever to get fixed and blasting music frommthe gyms speakers that will come through your headphones. They separated lighter dumbells from heavier ones which makes it a pain. The workers just chill and leave weights all over the place. The Eastover planet fitness is better than this location.

I've had a membership on and off at this specific location for over 10 years and have never had great consistent experiences here. The machines always have an out of order sign on them so it discourages you from going to the gym or to upgrade to a black card membership. There is little to no air circulation so you're literally getting cooked. I believe this location needs better management and should service the equipment more or people will start traveling to better gyms.

Don’t recommend going here if you have a high school pass, you will be stereotyped and treated poorly. I was told that I wasn’t supposed to wear crocs to the gym by an employee, I assumed it was a warning for next time because it wasn’t clarified I need to leave. Around 10 minutes later, what I’m assuming was a manager, an older, bigger, Caucasian lady, started screaming at me and telling me I was told to leave. I was trying to apologize and let her know that I thought it was just a warning and I was going to leaving, but then she started saying that they were canceling my membership. Then, randomly she brought up the fact that I had a high school membership and just began speaking negatively about high schoolers coming in and working out. Overall, I just feel like the way I was approached and reprimanded was completely unnecessary, unprofessional and humiliating. No one should be treated like that even members with the high school pass. This is my first time ever trying planet fitness and I am extremely disappointed and remember why I avoided this gym when I first began working out.

Planet Fitness really offers a unique workout experience — it’s like a scavenger hunt where the goal is to find a machine that actually works. Four broken machines (and counting), and apparently maintenance kicks in somewhere around the fifth... maybe sixth?
At this point, the real cardio is walking from one out-of-order sign to the next.
Perfect gym if you’re into minimalist training — as in, minimal equipment functioning. It's been 3 months and it's still the same.

Management is crazy uptight and enforces inconsequential rules, even in total disregard for customer privacy and health.

While I was showering, the cleanup crew told me that I could not leave clothes in the handicap stall. He insisted that I removed my clothes left on the stall. I told him that I had planned to used the handicap stall but could not because the dispenser was broken. I could have moved the clothes into changing room but saw that he was cleaning the changing rooms. He had previously saw me taking off my shoes but didn't say a single word but after stepping out briefly returned and peaked into my shower stall. I told him that I would be done showering within five minutes, but he threw a fit and told me to talk with the manager at the front desk.

Even as I was putting my clothes on, the day manager and the cleaning crew both unmasked cornered me and complained. Manager also insisted that both employees were not obligated to wear face covering, in total disregard for my health. I told the manager to wait for me at the front desk, but he refused and continued to berate me over an inconsequential rule, while I was changing in a small confined corner. No one uses the handicap shower, complete dry during noon hours, when gym is under-utilized.

I never saw myself being a planet fitness member and I toured other gyms in the area and made PF my last option although it’s closer to my home. What stands out is that it’s 24/7 and surprisingly…it’s not as busy which is great!! Other planet fitnesses are packed during peak hours and the peak hours at this location is very reasonable! I love the classes as well. I’ve only seen a couple machines out of service but they have plenty of other alternatives to use. I haven’t used the bathroom or showers yet but from what I’ve seen, it looks clean and maintained. Overall, I’m very impressed and satisfied.

1. Old machines are being replaced.
2. PF is affordable.
3. Staff is generally friendly and attentive.
4. The other patrons tend to be either friendly or just mind their own business and do their thing.
5. Very convenient location with plenty of parking.

Update: Seriously-why is it so hot? Is this intentional? I am considering a different gym because of this. I am not looking to sweat out and lose water weight every day. It is a gym, the thermostat doesn’t need to be set at 78.

Not good:
1. There is a bit of drug use in the parking lot. This sometimes translates to the inside of the gym smelling like weed.
2. Some people like to super set and monopolize machines while spending 10 minutes on their phones in between sets.
3. They keep the thermostat high. It is hot in there.

They was very rude when me and my friend walked in. I feel I have been discriminated against because I come here all the time and they treated me as if I was somebody that doesn’t have a membership and tried to embarrass me and had the man had to nerve to point his finger in my face when he could’ve just told me to check my friend in when I had no knowledge that had to be done. I visited the facility to inquire about a day pass. Unfortunately, my experience at the front desk was less than satisfactory. The staff appeared unwelcoming, standoffish, and dismissive. Their demeanor made me feel as though my request for information was unreasonable.

I was prepared to purchase the $20 day pass, but the staff's lack of enthusiasm and apparent disinterest in assisting me ultimately influenced my decision not to do so. A more welcoming and customer-oriented approach would have likely resulted in my patronage.

I believe there's room for improvement in customer service, particularly in creating a more inviting atmosphere for potential new clients. A friendly and helpful attitude could significantly enhance the experience for first-time visitors and potentially increase day pass sales.

The down sides are some older equipment need basic maintenance (grease the squeaky ab machine please) and massage chairs are coin operated with no heat function and no seat rollers.

This gym has filthy bathrooms and a huge drain fly problem. The showers and bathrooms seem like they’re never clean. The equipment is worn and torn up mats. They apparently got new equipment but it seems to only be the dumbbells and added stair master. I’ve reported the dirty bathrooms multiple times but no one does anything. I can’t going to this location because it’s so close to my house but now will be going to a further location.

The new equipment is wonderful and welcome. One little omission: THE BROKEN DEEP BAR HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED. It is sad because the deep bar is very popular, and many of us resent that no new one has been installed.

I truly enjoy the accessibility of this gym, the staff always does a great job keeping the place clean. On the behalf of the staff this review would be 5 stars.

However, I am rating it as 3 stars because of the New Equipment! Planet Fitness did not think about the heights of taller and larger people. The equipment looks cute and all but really small and not as sturdy as the previous equipment. Honestly the New equipment just looks cheap! Now unfortunately all I will be able to do is Strength training at this gym!

I couldn’t take it anymore!!!! I have been meaning to write a review for months, but just kept getting busy! Today, I witnessed one of the staff members cleaning the pedals of the stationary bikes! Who cleans the pedals??? But that’s not it… On a regular basis, I see them move the treadmills and vacuum under them. The bathrooms are always clean! The staff is always nice, helpful and greet you with a smile! The classes always start on time! I have been a member of numerous gyms and have never seen cleaning practices as good as this one… this gym is by far the cleanest!

The manager, Rick has done such an amazing job of cultivating an environment conducive to training and friendliness, so much so that even the members have clearly adopted it! Everyone wants to see each other win! If you don’t want to be in a clean, friendly and healthy environment, Steer clear from here!!!!!

This star is not for the gym & staff, but because of the report I made about being followed from the gym on several occasions. I reported it to the manager at the gym & was told there was nothing that could be done after I leave the inside of the gym where they keep it safe...I asked if the issue could be reported to the owners to ensure security & every suggestion I made was met with, essentially, you are on your own once you leave the gym or call the police. It saddened me that not one sentence was simply, at least, "I will report it!" So, gym goers, especially ladies, be careful of being followed up close or at a distance once you depart the gym...even being followed upon arrival. If you care about your members, Planet Fitness, then you would quickly request security in the parking lot...for the rest of the staff or all of the staff for that matter, they are exceptionally delightful & friendly & the gym is what it is for 10 bucks a month...and after reading comments, I do see the gym taking them seriously & making the changes where needed. I can appreciate that, but who wants to come to a gym where you are being tagged & followed from the parking lot...from break-ins, violence to human trafficking, it is a scary thought. I removed the race/ethnicity comment in my initial review because it was just unfair in my heart, but it is the truth...we should be careful to be watchful & alert no matter the race/ethnicity & gender, but that has been my experience, to my chagrin to report. If ever followed, take pictures of the vehicle & tags the safest way you can & don't drive to your home...find a safe place, even if you drive to a police station. Thank you.

I feel like Planet Fitness is sabotaging itself. I’ve gone to several of their gyms and, for some reason, for about the last 6 months, they keep the gyms hot. Even in the winter time, sometimes the gym was unbearable within 5 mins of working out. I’ve spoke to mangers and, during the winter, their excuse was that they don’t control the temperature but will make notifications. I complained almost every day and nothing was done.

Now in the summer, they just keep the gyms cool…not cold enough for a gym. I’m overheating within 5 mins of working out. Their excuses is either the same “we don’t control the temperature but will make notifications” or the AC is broken.

In some of the gyms, they have big fans that keep the air circulating so it is bearable. In others, they have the big fan going so slow that it makes no difference and some of the small fans don’t even work.

I used to enjoy and looked forward to working out…I still work out but it’s just hard keeping up since it’s so hot in the gym

I’ve been coming to this gym for a few years and over the years the gym has been rapidly declining. The gym equipment is old and outdated when you compare to the other planet fitness in the area. The equipment and gym just feels dirty, the trash is always running over. The equipment needs to be cleaned (REPLACED WOULD BE BETTER). The restroom need to be cleaned more often.

Half the machines are broke, they barely have any benches, the bars on the smith machines are always loose, barely any equipment, and the men’s bathroom is nasty. If you are serious about building muscle don’t waste your time with this gym.

The white assistant manager was very rude and uninformative. I have been a black card member for over 10years. She made it extremely hard to access the gym when the site was not working. If she would have been polite and not rude with 2 minors ai would have paid for an another black card. I would like action taken against her. If cameras are rolled back, for Jan 24 3:15pm, it will show her mocking me as I walk away. That is not a professional way to run a business nor act towards what I assumed to be a valuable member. I frequent this gym quite often. I have never received such nasty and impolite help, not even from the younger employees. I would like for action to be taken and to be reached out to. Thank-you.

I started going here a few years ago before the redesign and stopped going because of work/poor decisions on my part. In June 2021 I started going back. The club is ALWAYS clean and the entire staff is ALWAYS professional and personable. Regardless if I go during the early afternoon during the week, later in the evening or super early in the morning in the weekend, I've never had any issues. The employees make you feel welcome and answer any questions I may have.

I live across the st. and this gym has been closed for 3 days now due to "plumbing issues" this is kind of ridiculous excuse. 95% of the folks that use the gym don't even use the bathroom and the gym was open for a year after covid with 0 water faucet. is there something going on with management here? did employees abruptly quit? time is $ - we need answers planet fitness
