The gym is generally clean and well-maintained, and I appreciate the staff’s effort to keep it that way. However, I can’t give it five stars because almost every night there’s a strong body odor in the gym from one particular member. It makes the workout experience unpleasant at times. Hopefully, management can address this issue so the environment stays as fresh as it looks.

This Planet Fitness is one of the better locations in PG County, with the Seat Pleasant location coming in a close second. Most of the staff (mostly the manager) always greets and says goodbye. The machines and locker rooms are constantly being cleaned. This PF should get more equipment and hopefully it does later down the line.

Honestly I hate planet fitness. They do stuff no other gym does like charge a late fee. Just up your prices instead of trying to sneak money from people. I went to both Laurel and Greenbelt, and I can say the Greenbelt staff are friendlier and more polite than the Laurel staff. At Greenbelt, most of the team welcome you with a smile, which makes the atmosphere very pleasant. Not everyone, of course, but the majority do. The girls, however, tend to smile less than the guys—just a small observation.🤔🫣🤭

Another thing I noticed: the space between the Smith Machines is too narrow. I’ve actually hit my head three times, and although I mentioned it to two staff members, the spacing has not been adjusted yet.

The staff some are very nice! Asked about something for the bathroom but they haven’t put it for us to be able to put the soap. I like to go here but there’s a machine that’s been out of service for almost a month now and this location is not that big to have only one machine of those working. Please fix this little things! The staff at this location is OUTSTANDING! They are always welcoming and seem to always be cleaning. My only complaint is the equipment layout and the lack of doubles of certain major machines like the free weight leg press, preacher curl, and chest butterfly machines. There is always a long wait, but there is plenty space for the additions.

I’ve been coming here for a year, and this gym really sucks. The employees are younger and they’re rude. You can’t ask them a simple question without them feeling the need to correct you. If you ask them to do their job they get snappy. Also, there are way too many high school boys, and they are disturbing. They get in your space, ignore you when you say “excuse me”, and they gather together in groups. When my membership ends, I won’t be renewing with planet fitness. This gym is officially garbage.

I have to give significant props to Andrew and Rudy. They always stand out to me regarding being VERY welcoming to the point of me feeling as if I know them. Ive been coming for a long while and all welcomes are NOT equal! They are awesome! I feel like im seeing old friends or family when I see them!.... Also, I remember when there was a significant period where there were a lot of thorough cleaning and Hunter was hustling and appeared to get all the creases, etc. Lol.

Disappointed I brought in a person that I take care of who is mentally challenged and was turned away be he doesn't have a email or do not have ID with him. I have membership that allows me to bring a guest and I have to give up all their information just to get into the place. Ridiculous. I was so disappointed and I drove 30 minutes just to come. How can a business expect to grow if it fails to treat its customers well? Aren't we supposed to help generate customers?

Today, I visited the Landover location, which I had been going to for nearly two months, but I was denied entry. A staff member informed me that my gym in Greenbelt had been reopened for almost three weeks. My question is: what information did you provide to your current members when you finally opened? I did not receive any email notifying me of this change. It was incredibly disappointing to walk into the Landover location only to be told I couldn’t use the gym unless I paid. Honestly, who carries a card to the gym at 4 a.m.?

To make matters worse, they called a police officer to escort me out. I am very disappointed and would like to receive an apology from the front desk associate, V, and the manager in Greenbelt. I can’t help but feel that if I were of different race this situation would have been handled very differently.

Dear owner and stakeholders
After seven years of coming to this location, it’s time to revamp and refresh the Greenbelt, MD, location. The gym floor desperately needs to be replaced. The machines need to be restored or replaced. Attention to detail in cleaning all around. Dust, dirt, and grime are unacceptable. Greenbelts and adjacent areas are becoming popular, and the community deserves a planet fitness that sets the example for surrounding ones. PF in Ponce, Puerto Rico, is by far the cleanest and best-kept PF. Give them a call for advice ;).

This place is a dump. Definitely my top three dirtiest nastiest planet fitness is that I've been to in the country (over 100) Nothing in this place is clean at all. The locker room and restrooms are disgusting. Every part of the floor has got a hole in it or peeling up. Some of the dust and dirt have been on these machines for weeks. Half the clientele does not wipe down their machines. I will definitely try to find another planet while I'm in town.

I love coming here. There’s no need to be perfect. When I enter, I’m always greeted by the staff, with a smile. Anytime, I have a question about anything, they’re very polite and attentive. I love the work out equipment (once I learn how to properly use them 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣) The staff is always ready and willing to assist you. They’re not lazy, always working hard to make sure, your workouts go smoothly. I have started to get into a few classes and, I must say that Brandon does a great job, he’s very passionate about teaching us the proper ways of a safe workout. He’s always patient and, encouraging. One of my favorite gyms, I normally stay about 45 minutes. I stretch for 5 minutes, get on treadmill for 25 minutes, relax on massage chair, then 10 min on hydro bed. Return in two days.

I have my grievances with this location but I’m not even writing my review based on that. My review is based on the fact that I was charged 5.00 today by a staff member named Carmen because this is no longer my home gym. What is strange is I have been to this location about 3 times before (after changing home gym) today and was never charged. When asked why this rule wasn’t always enforced her only response was “it should be.” If we are going to enforce rules, ALL team members should be informed and enforce said rules. When I told her she should inform her coworkers, since they were clearly unaware of this rule at their place of work, she replied that she would and went back to using her phone. Let’s get it together plant fitness greenbelt :), I know you can do better.

This place is so filthy. I have been to many Planet Fitness clubs and this one may be the dirtiest. Dust, debris, trash, buckets with old water from ceiling leaks, busted equipment, floor coming apart and bubbling up in many places which is a serious tripping hazard. Avoid this club if you can.

I’m a regular at this location. The staff are some of the friendliest that I’ve come across, and there is a nice sense of community that you see coming multiple times a week. With that being said, I have three concerns.

- this location is very crammed compared to others (little to do about that)
- The restrooms are less clean than at other locations
- For many months, four out of the five stair stepper machines have been out of order. There is often a line to use the single available one, which is frustrating

but here I come because it is the closest to my work but it is a shame how a company as big as planet fitness has maintained a place like this since last year there is a bad smell in the bathrooms of urine that is never removed then there are machines that They damage and do not fix the water filter several times last year I found it with the red light which is a sign that it needs to be changed and they do it until I don't know but it lasted many days so it is a shame as I said it such a company big like planet fitness and from what I see the staff does not clean it is very strange to see them cleaning and they have arrived at different times of the day and it is not seen that they clean hopefully one day they will have some staff who do care about the image and hygiene for the people who We visited this place,🤬🤬

Terrible gym. Terrible location. This PF is too small for the amount of people who populate this area. Good luck trying to attend during January as the resolutioners will overrun this place in conjunction with the regulars that go here. The machines will give you muscular imbalances. Poor mechanical function. Dumbbells have next to no knurl on them. Dumbbells will roll on the ground once you place them down because the flooring is literally lifted up off the ground and no one cared enough to fix it. Bathrooms are gross. The entire place smells weird. Zero effort for sanitation, low quality paper towels. Two smith machines that you will never be able to use unless you're the first to arrive or like working out at 3AM.
No squat racks, or deadlift platforms, so you just look like an idiot performing them on the smith machines there. Smallest calisthenics area I've ever seen. Everyone hogs the dip/pull up station. There's at least 1-2 machines out of service Everytime I go. 85% of the place is just full of cardio machines. The Spa/message area is a baron wasteland with poorly functioning equipment in there as well. Don't go here if you're serious about lifting. Invest more in yourself if you care.

This is the worst club I have seen in the country. I am a long distance driver and drive a van. I arrived at night and parked to go training in the morning. At 7 in the morning the club security guard woke me up and said: I wrote down your plate numbers, you can’t park here anymore. I asked why? I have a club membership and would like to train. He could not explain the reason for the ban. Terrible place, terrible people.

I was at the mall before opening time to order breakfast from a restaurant nearby who did not have a restroom.

This place was the nearest to use the restroom so I went in and politely ask if I can use the restroom. The response was that I needed a pass to use their bathroom

For the most part the bathroom is my least favorite because the showers are filthy and the changing room is filthy. The floors are sticky. Just tried to work out at 2:30am (11/15/23) and the dude Que (if that’s really his name) told me I looked to feminine and the account wasn’t mine. I didn’t want to explain my transitioning but he kept pushing me to that point and I broke down and explained. He then told me I was lying and yelled at me that he would cancel my account. Great gymn. The Centrex equipment is the best. 3 smith machines and they all have straight rather then slanted tracks. I prefer the straight track. No barbells, but I actually get better results with dumbell bench presses then barbell bench presses. Lockers out in the open which is more secure. The only thing they lack is a scale to weigh yourself.A scale would be nice. Friendly staff.
