This is honestly one of the nicest Planet Fitness locations I’ve been to—and a great gym overall. The variety of equipment is impressive, and it’s very well-organized for the space. It’s not huge, but they make excellent use of what they have. Everything was clean and well-maintained, with no rusty or outdated machines like I’ve seen elsewhere.

My only minor issue was the bathroom, which had a strong urine smell. Aside from that, no complaints—definitely deserves five stars.

I started going here fairly recently to not only restart my fitness journey but also shower as I have recently lost my housing and am living out of my car. I worked later on Saturday and didn't realize that this location is not open 24 hours. I finished my work out at 8:55 and was about to go shower when I was told by the attendant that they'd be closing shortly after. I only have a regular membership and currently don't have the funds to upgrade to Black Card. A little disappointed but I don't really have a choice but to continue going here but will have to adjust the days I come in.

Ive been going to this gym on and off for 8 years. Recently the district manager Paul has came in since a number of staff changes.(My first time seeing him) Ive been jumping rope here and there but for some reason I was approached when nobody was around me about jumping rope being prohibited after Ive jumped rope in this gym before numerous times. In front of staff with no issue. Supposedly it was a rule for the last 12 years but Ive never heard of it from any staff. I felt targeted especially since I wasn't bothering anyone or near anyone and Paul stopped cleaning to run and tell me this after I was on my second set of jump ropes. It was 2am in the morning. When I asked for the reason is was a generic response that sounded more like a ego trip. I hate to say farewell to this gym but my time has run its course. I will say it is always clean and big shoutout to Malachi and the other staff for accommodating there members.

This is a good location. The staff, overall was consistently engaged and friendly. The place was relatively clean, the machines in good condition. It also helped that the members here are mostly "my gang" folks associated with the military/Intelligence Community- so everyone is polite and engaged in what they are doing. We have none of the tight pants "Influencer" type with their ring camera's and posturing.

I like that every time I check in, I am told to have a good workout. I like that there are people there but it isn’t usually too packed. I like the hydro massage but love the chair massage. I like being able to use weights without men bothering me. I love walking my 2 miles on a treadmill and especially the free WiFi! I really think the people at the front desk are great because not everyone is pleasant at 4:30am, but they are! I only wish that employees needed to wear name tags so that I could use their names in my reviews of how great they are! *edited to add that their names are Stephanie and Malachi. Awesome people!!

The staff is so great at PF Ft. Meade. They really care about their patrons and their safety. They don't hesitate to make sure that all people feel welcome in the space. The facility is clean and spacious. You hardly ever feel like you're on top of anyone. There's plenty of spaces and machines for people to work out, and it hardly ever feels "busy." The only issue I'd ever warn people about is the location, since it's in a shopping center with a smaller parking lot. Otherwise, I've been to a LOT of gyms of all types and this is easily the most welcoming!

I was very surprised when I got there. The staff was very/extremely nice and polite. I have heard so much negative things about PL, and it made me not want to go. But I am so GLAD that I experienced it.Not only that they are clean, respectful and kind, I am very comfortable not being the size I want to be and working towards my goals without anyone looking down at you.This has just been a wonderful experience. Speaking about the COLUMBIA, MARYLAND location.I'm glad to see the diversity in regards to color, race, sexual orientation, and more.Planet Fitness will make you feel that YES, we all can get along and with everyone having one goal in mind, it's just been wonderful, for me.I have the plan that I can go to anyone of the PLs. I have been trying to cancel my membership for over 6months now, but they make it impossible! I called several months ago, was told it was handled, but it still got withdrawn for the next 2 months. sent a letter like their website said, it was ignored. I even paid one of the 3rd party cancellation services to try and cancel but I still pay 25 bucks every month, even though I only agreed to pay 19!!!!! I am currently deployed to the Middle East and can’t spend time fighting them to just stop stealing my money. I’ll try the BBB next, see if they can get these scam artists to stop stealing from me.

The good: Staff are generally friendly and this location tends to not be as busy as others as well as pretty clean for the most part.

The bad: People steal and break machines and I feel as if management has no urge to fix or replace items if a weights that are missing which can be very inconvenient for regulars especially since the dumbbells only go up to 60 lbs. Somehow the ceiling is always leaking and the floors are soaked. Members of ALL ages are too busy playing on their phones while “using” very popular machines such as the smith machine again making it inconvenient for those who want to work out.

Overall, it’s functional for the average to below average gym goer but I will eventually be seeking other options.

Men’s bathroom is pretty clean but can get really smelly around the toilets. The “30min workout” area seems like mostly wasted space- I doubt anyone actually uses it for it’s intended purpose. The gym could use another pec deck/rear deltoid machine. It is always taken.

Overall good, but they should move the stairmasters so the back is facing a wall. I was waiting for the lat pulldown machine, but the old man sitting there was staring at a girl’s behind (she was on the stairmaster) for like 10 minutes, not working out lol.

There are way too many clients sitting on machines and staring at their phones instead of working put. They just sit on a machine for ten minutes, either talking or swiping their phones, not exercising. The free weights are limited and often not available because of not being put back or because two or three different weights are being hogged by a client who can only use one weight at a time even if they are using both hands. One day, a bloke had the 15lb, 20lb, and 25lb in front of him while he......swiped on his phone. I would rather pay more at a smaller facility than use this place. My cancelation is coming soon.

I've tried several other PF gyms in the area, but I keep coming back to this one. First and foremost, this facility is consistently clean. What really sets this Planet Fitness apart is the equipment. They have Hammer Strength and Life Fitness plate loaded machines that are far superior to the Precor equipment found elsewhere. These machines are not only more effective but also more comfortable to use. For anyone serious about their workouts, this gym is a no-brainer. Highly recommend! Would be 5 stars if you get a hack squat :)

This PF has new equipment and is generally clean both on the floor and in the (men's) locker room. Friendly staff greets you on the way in and usually on the way out. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a 5 star is the fact that PF (as a whole) uses (or wastes) a lot of paper towels although they want to give you the impression of being environmentally friendly (hand driers with signs stating how much waste there is in paper towels). Parking at this location can be difficult at peak hours (busy shopping center).

The gym was fine. The problem is that Planet Fitness. They require a bank account number to sign-up. You can only cancel at your local branch. On top of this, calling our bank to try and put a stop payment, the rep told us that this was a common problem. If we paid the $30 to stop payment, PF would just change their name slightly and still put it through. She told us people literally had to close their accounts because of the problems with PF. Please do not sign up with this company, you will regret it!

Went to Planet Fitness, Hanover Maryland location 12:15- 12:30 AM Monday given they are supposed to be open 24 hours Mon- Thursday. Me and several others eventually drove away.

Apparently Hawaii timezone they operate under, SMH.

I recently joined a Planet Fitness gym due to its convenient location, but unfortunately, I found that it can get extremely busy during peak hours. Specifically, from 6 to 8 in the morning and again after 6 pm until closing time, the gym becomes overcrowded, making it quite challenging to find available equipment and weights.

I haven’t gone to PF since July of 2022 and have been charged up to June 2023. They told me the money they took away could not be refunded and that i could not cancel my membership over the phone. upon going up there to cancel it, the representative was not a all understanding and told me i owed a balance for a previous month. i didn’t even go to PF during that whole month. There is no live customer service number. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
