Fell asleep on the 🌊 water 🛏️ and was awakened by a young man by the name of Weston tapping my leg. He then assigns the bed to someone else when there are 2 other empty beds. I get up and move to an empty 🛏️. Just came from the hospital from a back injury and the doctor prescribed for me to lay flat to straighten my spine. This bed had saved my body. I ignore him cause I do have a membership. He then announced that I'm trespassing. I say I have a membership and if he likes he can cancel it. He then walks away on his tippy toes... Stay tuned...

This is the absolute worst Planet Fitness I have ever been to. The equipment is old and dirty. The floor mats are old and torn. The flooring itself is need of replacement. There are literal bulges and rips in the floor. It is very evident that they do not invest back into this location. Most other locations have machines that will count your reps... not here. The patrons also do not clean behind themselves. I will just drive to Clinton for a much better experience.

i saw a very unfortunate encounter the other day when i was there. one of the employees refused to let a woman make a day pass and work out. he was very rude and aggressive, even calling the police on her. the police saw nothing wrong and left, but she was still denied that pass. very unprofessional, i will not be coming back to this gym.

“I was working out normally at this Planet Fitness location and, without any real reason, I was asked to leave. I did not receive a clear explanation or professional treatment from the staff. I find this unfair because I was respecting the gym rules. A place that claims to promote inclusion and comfort should not treat its members this way. Very disappointing experience.

I really enjoy working out at this Planet fitness. What make it even more special is the early morning team especially Steven. You can tell when he is there and the new guy who works with him. They don't just sit around at the desk. Steven keeps that gym clean and organized in the early hours of the gym being open. He does this while still monitoring the front desk and watch the other functions/activities as well. He does a really good job from mopping the floors, picking up after the customers, to putting all the equipment weights back in there place. I can always tell when he is there. The gym even smell better. He's also super polite and always smiling. Thank you Steven for the great job you do!!😊

This gym is truly a 1-star gym, but two things made me add one more star to my rating. First, it is VERY close to the Sports and Learning Complex while being open 24 hours, which means it is great as a backup gym. Second, the staff are friendly.

That said, this gym leaves much to be desired. It is really, really filthy - not only do people leave their trash around (plastic water bottles, used paper towels for wiping equipment), it seems the staff don't really clean as well. I wasn't at all surprised, for example, that there was a cockroach out in the open on the floor one night. Relatedly, I dread and avoid going to the bathrooms here because they are very darkly lit, with black toilets and are also constantly in need of some amount of cleaning.

The equipment is another mess. The Planet Fitness mats are oddly non-durable and it can be hard to find one to use. They also don't replace equipment, so after the large Swiss ball was damaged by a patron for example they did not get another one. Some of the machines are super wonky, on top of which the layout doesn't make any sense. For example, there are dumbbell locations in at least 4 different areas, which makes it extra frustrating when people don't re-rack their weights properly (a common occurrence) and you have to hunt through multiple spots for something.

The icing on the cake is that the gym has gotten noticeably louder the past few weeks. It's gotten to the point where I'm genuinely uncertain if even $10 a month is worth spending for a membership because of how much of a bad experience actually working out here can be.

I am completely disappointed with Planet Fitness of Landover Maryland. It has the worst service when it comes to missing items. On July 12, My car was stolen from their parking lot. They let in a person who doesn’t have an accurate identification into the gym. The man stole items from people’s lockers and mine. He stole my car keys. Planet fitness workers didn’t even claim responsibility for their part in the theft. The lockers are meant to be safe.

Planet Fitness Headquarters needs to address this security issue quickly.

I and the other victims planned to sue the gym but we are waiting to see if something will be done regarding this issue.

This is, unfortunately, one of the least impressive Planet Fitness locations I’ve visited. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of maintenance—many of the machines are outdated or broken, and there’s an overwhelming number of treadmills compared to a limited selection of weight machines. While the Bowie location is farther for me, I’d much rather make the drive than continue wasting time here. To add to the experience, the facility has a persistent and unpleasant odor that sets it apart in a bad way from other PF gyms.

Planet Fitness HQ, please speak to this franchise operator in Landover, MD. This is location is in one of the worst shapes of any in the nearby area. The Planet Fitness in Bowie is beautifully maintained and updated and it’s only 15 minutes further. The Landover location is closest to my home but I absolutely loathe working out there. These pictures speak volumes of the negligent state this location is. Machines need to be repaired, updated, and maintained! Please Planet Fitness HQ, do something about this! It’s a full shame that it looks like this considering how CLOSE it is to the Commander’s stadium. Just because it’s in a broke-down shopping center doesn’t mean it should look like this. Have some pride!

I been going to this gym since its beginnings. I moved back to this area early this year and I go to this gym because is right down the street from where I live. However this gym has quite of few machines out of order, restrooms stalls out of service for months but what really grinds my gear is the staff members. They don't greet nor speak to Anybody that comes in and out of their doors. They are more concern with people not scanning and using the restroom. I'm sorry its customer service 101 when guest comes to your establishment, you greet them, when they leaving, it doesn't hurt to say goodbye, have a nice day. The staff be on the phone, sitting on top of the counter on their phones(Are you at home or work?) #Shitty customer service #ShameOnYou!!!

I have to give a shoutout to Key at this location. She was truly helpful in helping to close my account. Because my account was from out of state, she was unable to close it on her end. She ended up speaking to representative on my behalf and get the account transferred and terminated for me. I'd estimate that this took over 20 minutes for her and was quite a hassle, but she did it with a smile. I can't say enough nice things about this location. An additional shoutout to Quentin. He always called me "Jim" and my wife "Pam" like in the show "The Office.

Excellent facility. Have yet to experience any equipment not working, which is a plus. Afternoon times are great for this location. Clean , ventilated, well maintained, and a great variety of machines to choose from. I do recommend this 👌 location.
Update This location has been and still is well maintained. Excellent place to come in and workout. Could use a few more weight training machines. Other than that place is still or par with its competitors.

Lots of equipment but no designated ab space like I have seen in other PFs. It is very hard to do any floor exercises at this location compared to the Bowie or Seat Pleasant ones. Also, for months there were no adequate mats. I have seen a recent improvement but it is very hard to do certain aspects of my routine.

I enjoy this location, it's always clean never too packed a d the staff is nice. I have a black card and recently I used the hydro bed and it smelled like a *modly water when it turned one. The stitch was horrible. I hope they fix that. Till then I will use the new massage chairs they have.

Very clean gym, staff is great and their trainers are very informative. Of course to many treadmills and cardio machines, but they have cycles, stairs, row machines as many as your heart desires. The space is large and they have a lot of lifting equipment 6 Smith machines, 5 areas for cable flies or push or pull workouts, so even if it's crowded there's always room for a good workout. Including this location is actually 24hours. Free weights are also a plus they have the main area and then 3 areas with bar bell/easy curl bar weights and a lot of kettle bell ball weights. For a planet fitness this one is pretty stacked of course there are machines I wish they had but for a solid workout or making gains in general this location is definitely top tier what they don't have definitely doesn't matter much because of what they DO have

My initial review was several months ago (perhaps a year). This location had not undergone renovations during my first visit. I returned and it’s like night and day. This location has been updated. The gym is well lit, new machines (this is major) and working hydrobeds!!! They have working row machines and bikes similar to the peloton.

I recently started using the smith machine and this location has several! It’s easier to get one and they offer a pad for the bar (There were many pads).
This PF location is well lit and I felt safe. The staff has always been friendly and helpful (this alone is 5 stars). The bathrooms were clean. The music was not blaring (unlike the Central Avenue location). I will return, because of the location, non-blasting music (I could hear my own music and my ears didn’t hurt). This gym is in a great location and there is great lighting at night.

I was at the gym today, wearing my Yeezy foam runner shoes, and a team member named Chris asked me to take them off because the gym's policy didn't allow them. I went back to my car to get my tennis shoes. While inside, I saw several people wearing Crocs shoes and his friend I approached Chris and asked if the gym's policy applied only to me. He responded rudely, telling me to shut up and leave. I don't know who he is. Chris is clearly a racist; he doesn't know how to talk to gym members. He's impolite, mean, and rude. I was just shocked.
