I had a very bad experience at this Planet Fitness location. The staff was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Instead of being welcoming and helpful, the employee was rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. A gym should be a supportive and friendly environment, but unfortunately this was the opposite. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a positive fitness experience. it doesn’t deserve even the one star.

Nice gym, very convenient but managers should really run more of a tight ship when it comes to their personal trainer. The personal trainer name starts with a D and he could be very loud & annoying in the gym sometimes that makes me not even want to come to this gym anymore. Also can be a bit in appropriate… people want to work with personal trainers to actually hit goals.. not play around like this is a high school.

Came in at approximately 1:20 am on 3/25/25 to get a membership but my phone was dead. Was told by the overnight cashier that I couldn’t charge my phone to get enough power to get the membership. Yesterday (February 19th, 2024) I went into this location to do a transfer and cancel. Thank God for Crystal because my location in NC had her on hold for 30 mins. If she hadn't called from a different phone, we would probably still be waiting lol. She was so kind and patient, I decided not to cancel at all and get my behind back in the gym. All the staff there yesterday seemed nice. It was clean. Music was good. Definitely a vibe. Ask for Crystal 💪🏾.

I should of been gave them a one star when someone stole my phone but I didn’t want to dislike my home gym based on my mishap, but as of today this gym face alot of problems, for one the rules are different base on either who is here or the relationship, I have saw kids of all ages at this gym, but today I decided to bring my son who is 11 to come to the gym to do a little running at the gym, the “Manager” states no he can’t today, he had to be 13, now when my son came before they let him, I brought my son at the time I know it’s slow plus I have a child who is 5’9 at 11 and 180lbs so I only wanted him active based on what I have witnessed here but obviously I learned this gym is not wired that way, I have had other misfortune here but today was a day I felt was unfair and I hope moving forward that the management tells everyone to be the same when he is not here. Bad business…. By the way I understand the policy but if I’m here everyday and exception would be made slight but I learned they don’t hire professional healthy employees only people that need a job! Health is wealth

This PF is fairly accessible given its location to both PG and NE/SE DC. It’s also cleaner than most gyms I’ve ever visited. The downside is that given the large community it serves, there are only three smith machines. If you understand planet fitness, this machine is the only one in the gym that allows for bench press, squats, deadlifts, hip thrust and a host of other push/pull exercises. It’s literally a waste of time trying to utilize the gym because nine times out of ten, all three of the smith machines are in use with people waiting to get to them. To add insult to injury, the free weight area only accommodates four benches, and the dumbbells are never actually on the racks. I want to like this gym, but its central use only works if you’re in for cardio— otherwise, look elsewhere for fitness needs. I’d advise management to evaluate space and get additional equipment to accommodate the traffic/high use machinery and remove machines under-utilized.

So, a little about me. If you were to look at my history of check-ins you would see I come very early around 1, 2, or 3am. I am neurodivergent but an extremely high functioning autistic so I am by no means stupid otherwise I wouldn't have made it to at least medical school although I did flunk out. With that being said I come early at those times because it allows me to get out my anxiety and stimming behavior and not disturb others because during those hours people are not there most of the time. It allows me to listen to my music through my headphones and look like a version of the singer Joe Cocker from the 1960s.

At times I can be sensitive to environments, energies, and demeanors. The past month I do not feel good about the gym environment there. It was only a few short months ago but you had regularly rotating night staff at the gym, and it was awesome seeing the staff clean the gym while I would be working out. It was refreshing to not have to see the same staff for the night shift reeking of the smelly terpenes caryophyllene and myrcene the most common terpenes found in chemdog and OG diesel.

But now it seems as if you are under new management or ownership. I have started noticing the climber's hooks used to swap out different types of handles near the cable fly machines are slowly disappearing. I'm noticing the changing stalls in the locker rooms seem to have someone sleeping in one of them. The music not that I listened to it; has changed to more hip-hop which tends to carry more bass and is breaking through the noise cancelling barrier of my headphones which causes me to lose focus on working out. I asked the staff if they could turn it down on two separate occasions on the same night and it didn't seem to really get turned down despite the staff claiming they did. At one point of the same night around 3:45 am the music went very loud to the point another gym patron asked it to be turned down.

It seems as though the gym is not being swept or mopped regularly anymore. Hopefully, I will be able to upload some pictures of the purple paint flecks coming from the machines and the hairball on the floor and the water stains from water bottles. Also, when was the last time someone ran a dust mop along the walls? I have a picture of the dust building up on the walls if you zoom in on the picture.

What can I do as a customer to help the new management get themselves together?

Pretty regularly use the circuit training due to time constraints. On multiple occasions a "trainer" has been conducting sessions in the circuit area with no warning. They aren't following the timer, and their clients sit on machines for indeterminate amounts of time between sets. Actual other members are more courteous and polite about working in together. To make matters worse they are using machines in the circuit area that have an available counterpart in the general gym.

Super frustrating to not be able to make the most out of my time here. And there isn't even a schedule for me to avoid training times. It makes the area unusable. Staff has told me the trainers can do whatever they want which basically is flirt and waste people's time.

Nevermind the fact that the bathrooms are perpetually filthy. I once has to call the front desk because a stall was out of toilet paper on both sides of the dispenser indicating it had not been checked in some time.

Misleading high reviews. I've been to over 7 planet fitness locations in different states. This is by far the most poorly managed and maintained location. Of the 4 row machines, only 1 is in full working condition, be it because of a broken strap, a broken pace monitor, etc. The calf machine has been in disrepair for over a month with no apparent repair in sight. Weights are often dispersed throughout the gym, with any one patron using more than 4 dumbbells at once. Policies, such as their jump roping policy are enforced inconsistently. Restrooms are poorly maintained. It's really a shame considering this location has more minority patrons, which begs the question of why corporations do not respect minority patrons enough to provide them with excellent service, even though these patrons pay the same membership fees as others elsewhere.

If something goes wrong or someone locker is clipped in the locker room who can you blame if you don't know who was in the gym?

I go early in the morning and this location is clean. This could be a great location if the management team updated the equipment. The row machines don’t work (compared to the location on Silver Hill Road). The men are usually using the smith machines, so it’s hard to get one. Women want strength training too.
The music is always really loud, but my ears are saved due to my noise canceling AirPods. If you can’t handle piercing loud music (good music, just too loud) get AirPods.
I like going here because it’s close to my house and I can get my workout in early. But the outdated equipment and crazy hours (not open 24 hours as advertised, unless this has been a new change), is a definite deterrent.

Saturday, September 23. The gym is scheduled to open at 6am. A parking lot full of patrons waited and waited AND waited for them to open. Disgusted, frustrated and irritated, I finally left at 7am. Management MUST be responsible and take accountability if they do not reliable staff who can report to work on time. If we can come out in the rain to workout, they can come out in the rain to work. UNACCEPTABLE!

I have been a member here for 6 years but had to stop coming due to life and my forever changing schedule. I just returned to make sure my account was still active and to sign my son up for the High School Summer Pass. We were greeted at the door with promptness from a young man (on Father's Day 6/19/23) who was ready to assist. He got us signed up in no time. The center was near closing but he still allowed us to workout until that time. While completed our workout I was able to see the equipment and front doors being cleaned and wipe down and that all machines were powered off. This location is the closest to me and this is the only location I will use. Thanks guys!

Every time I come to Planet Fitness, there is someone cleaning. This place stays clean and I love that. It could be the time of day I come (night time) but regardless I appreciate clean facilities. Please check the monthly transactions as this particular planet fitness starts over charging the money without informing you. Also, I closed my bank account and this particular gym got my credit card information from their sources (without my permission) and strated charging $40/- a month every 21-25th of the month. When I called, a rude lady told me that it's the late fee. During the conversation, she told me that it's the annual fee and as I told her that the annual fee of 39 will be deducted in May, she changed her statement. I asked if the gym ever sent me a notification of no payment/late payment? If the gym ever ask my permission to use my credit card? If they are charging the credit card without my permission for the last 3 months, then why are they charging late fee? I haven't been to the gym from July 2022 due to an injury. I kept the membership in a hope to join it back. I am going to sue this branch and all the authorities to access and use my credit card without my permission. That lady told me that her GM will call me. Nobody called as the lady was rude and she was yelling on me and i am sure, she hadnt even passed the information. This lady was muting me during the call, she was intrupting me and not listening at all. I am going to talk corporate and consumer department as well. They can not rob the people like this. My money was stolen at this gym and I want to warn everyone to keep an eye on their transactions. This gym is a trash. 90% of the time their equipments are out of order and the so called trainers never help you as they sit like the couch potatoes at the reception. The massagers are always broke. I got the injury in that gym but I never complaint about it. But I will not tolerate if they steal money from my credit card without my permission. I need my money back from January till now as they started charging $40/- WITHOUT my permission. Without my consent. And WITHOUT sending me a notification.

I've had a membership here since 2020 and the service has not changed. The staff has changed periodically, but there's never been a time I've attended and I've had a negative experience. This is my favorite of all PF locations (and I've gone to a ton) and generally the best gym in the area (compared to my time at Gold's and LA).

The gym is always clean and everyone here actually racks their weights when they're done ...shocking. The staff is also super nice and seems to remember just about everyone that goes on a regular basis. 10/10.

This was my first time at this location and eventhough it's a little farther from my home, I'm really glad that I went. The facility was clean, restroom was clean and stocked, cleaning stations was well stocked. The facility atmosphere was calm and peaceful. I loved it. No one was holding up the machines by being on their phones and not using the machines. This has caused me to go other locations where I can go get my workout complete and leave. Not sure if this is because if the holidays but will try it again after the holidays. If atmosphere is still the same I think I've found a new workout gym. I dont mind the travel time for a clean, calm and respectful gym. Thank you staff I really enjoyed my workout there.

This specific Planet Fitness is VERY well maintained and clean everytime I visit. The Black Card membership is currently $24/monthly. You can bring a guest and you will have access to the massage chair area. All of the machines are operational and everyone wipes their equipment after use. This location is definitely the best in the area.
