Even after this remodel, the place remains to be absolutely disgusting.

They refuse to clean the bathrooms, constantly being forced to use the seat covers as TP becuase they can’t be bothered to get off their phones in the mornings from behind the desk. Weights are always a mess and nothing ever gets wiped down/

The gym was fine before the recent renovation aside from the toilets being broken all the time. Now, the layout doesn't make sense. Everything is everywhere. The machines are scattered around with no orginazation, and way too close together. The guy on a machine in front of me was practically sitting on my lap. I think they've got competition coming to town and they are trying to hard to compete. A disorganized mess. A little reorganizing would go a long way

I don’t normally leave reviews, but they added an unexpected surprise after reopening. Waiting a month for reopening was worth it for sure! I had to leave a 5 star review… 3 squat racks with dead lift platforms! It’s like an early Christmas present. I was very excited to see that! Absolutely beautiful addition to the gym. Officially the best gym for the best price in Westminster hands down. I know because I’ve hopped from gym to gym. The rest are poorly managed with outdated equipment… only good thing they had over planet fitness before the renovations was squat racks and deadlift platforms. NOT ANYMORE! there is no reason to go anywhere else now. Planet fitness is where I’ll stay for good.

Tried to bring a friend in using my black card membership and was judged sharply by the person at the desk (this was late at night), they wouldnt allow my guest in and told me ‘since you go so little why dont you just cancel your membership’, truly awful feeling. Not planning on going back here ever, and did end up cancelling my membership.

To be judged and criticized for going to the gym only sometimes and then turning away a guest is the worst hospitality ive ever received, especially from someone who is essentially supposed to be a greeter.

Faculty appears clean and offers a decent selection of equipment.
Some staff are nice and level headed, while others truly enjoy a position with bit of power. Like alpha males, but it’s mostly the women staff. They were rude and embarrassing in front of other patrons.

Harassed me for not wanting to take a photo of my own membership. That I signed for on the app crazy… and I got denied for all my black card membership benefits. Highly recommended bringing your ID would’ve been better if they told me to just bring it next time then refuse me completely… do better I hope to hear back from corporate I’m planning on canceling after that experience

This is such a well-managed location. Colleen is wonderful...from her positive energy to her kindness and her professionalism. I am always impressed with how clean and well-maintained everything is. It is a bright and large gym with a lot of equipment. The front desk employees are AMAZING!!! They are always friendly and upbeat, which makes me smile and helps motivate me before my workout. This gym is my second home. The front desk employees truly are like my second family. I LOVE it here!!!

For context: I am from out of town visiting family, and PF is not my usual gym. On the positive, the gym is very clean and the equipment is well maintained (no crazy ripping on the benches or anything). Everything is decently spaced out so it doesn’t feel too congested. The two negatives I have to mention: the day pass is $20 which is absolutely insane. For reference, Onelife’s day pass fee is $16, and they are unequivocally a higher-end gym. You could also go to another PF location and get a day pass for free, but this location does not offer that for whatever reason. My other issue was that the heat was BLASTING in the weight area. It was very noticeably cooler in the treadmill and stretching areas.
I wouldn’t recommend this PF if you’re looking for somewhere to go while out of town.

Clean, simple, focused. Their political giving is... problematic, making me reconsider my membership (how much of that giving is the result of my giving them membership money? Am I funding, indirectly, my own civic demise by funding Planet Fitness? Sadly the right question to ask). If only there were -5 stars! The customer service is so lacking at Planet Fitness. My wife has been very ill and in and out of the hospital for several months. She clearly hasn’t been thinking about her gym membership and the monthly payment wasn’t a big deal. Today she gets slapped with a $49 annual fee which of course grabbed our attention. When she called to cancel her membership and ask for a refund they refused. It’s been a few months since we were able to go because of her recent chronic illness and because of her non existent immune system she can’t be around many people so the gym is a no go. It’s pretty disgusting that they are taking advantage of people like this. We are canceling our memberships immediately and strongly urge you to ask about the hidden fees when they’re running a special. There are quite a few gyms in the area so don’t fall for the sneaky money grabbing tactics here!

Equipment seems nice, I'm glad they have the "Hammer Strength" machines. Just seems kinda unkept. The locker room has gotten progressively worse over the last month. Both urinals now broken, smells like straight urine, and I wouldn't ever consider showering here. Just seems like management has gotten lazy with things. The clock has been wrong/dead for the entire month I've been coming here as well as the water filter hasnt been changed and the water is kinda warm unfortunately.

Update, 4 weeks later. Water fountain still shows "maintenance required". Clock on wall battery still not changed. Urinals working but leaking. Bathroom still smells the same. Showers still broken.

Customer service is really good, and the employees there are super helpful and kind, but it’s impossible to get a refund. Not only that, but i’m not much of a fan of how you can’t cancel a membership online. I live a decent ways away and have to drive all the way over there just to cancel it. I asked for a manager between the time i was recommended to ask, and there wasn’t one. Aside from that, everything has been great and i greatly appreciate the fast responses and helpfulness from the employees.

Ran poorly. More or less a hangout/cardio gym all the weight machines are taken and sat at while people have hangouts at them. There isn’t nearly enough weight training equipment. Kids are running around all over the place in groups. While the price is good and fair I’d rather pay more somewhere more professional

This health fitness center is one the best club I have visited in the past few years. The staff at this location are amazingly friendly and helpful. I have been going here for a little over a year now, and this is a great gym. Both the staff and members are respectful and friendly. No matter what time of the day or night you go the place is always clean and the equipment is in great shape. I have accomplished many fitness goals I set out to do. Planet Fitness is a great value. I'm not sure how they can operate with most members only paying $10 a month but I'm not complaining. I get all the necessary equipment to fit my needs. At this point in life (60 years young) I'm not trying to build huge muscles. My goal is to stay fit, maintain a healthy weight, and keep my blood pressure in a good range. What I really would love is access to a pool but that's asking a lot for $10 a month. As far as the facility, they keep it very clean! They are constantly cleaning the areas as I am working out. I do find it rather wasteful that rolls of paper towels are used to clean the equipment each time someone finish using a machine. That's a lot of trees going to the landfill. An alternative would be to supply clean cotton towels to each member when they check in so that they can continue to use the same towel with the supplied sanitizer and then deposit it in a bin to be laundered later. I would think it cost much more to purchase all those rolls of paper towels than to reuse cotton handtowels.

The bathroom is always filthy- Trash cans overflowing, water all over the sinks, the soap and sanitizer dispensers always out of order, hair in the sink drains, little to no water pressure, and broken faucets . There were 4 employees hanging out behind the front desk playing on their phones. The bathroom was wrecked before I started my 1.5hr workout and still just as dirty when I was finished. And the employees were in their same spots playing on their phones.
I know people can be gross to locker rooms but it doesn’t get this bad in a few hours. And it is this bad every time I come in.

Planet Fitness Westminster, The staff is amazing, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Which they would have received five stars because of that alone. However, I live in Westminster, Maryland. I signed up for my BLACK CARD MEMBERSHIP at the Westminster Maryland Planet Fitness. But due to the ROACHES, HORRIBLE PARKING, NO DESIGNATED SITTING AREA for BLACK CARD MEMBERS, REPAIRS NOT DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER Therefore, I must go to the other Planet Fitnesses: Ellicott City, Reisterstown (which is STILL under construction), Columbia and many others. This is absolutely unacceptable. I shouldn't have to travel the globe to go to Planet Fitness; unless I choose to. We need a NEW LOCATION IMMEDIATELY in Westminster, Maryland!!!!! I love our Planet Fitness. But , my family and friends won't be coming back to Planet Fitness Westminster Maryland until there's a new location. Better parking, more spaces available, ROACH/BUG FREE( I'm not interested in taking any ROACHES home. Disgusting!!!) New updated women's locker rooms. That are conducive for getting showered and dressed after working out to go to work. The BLACK CARD MEMBERS sitting room is non-existent in Westminster. That must change. We should also have a nice sitting area off in the corner with sofa, loveseat, oversized chairs, end tables, coffee table, 60 plus inch flat screen tv, loaded fire stick with ALL the APPS!! BLACK CARD MEMBERS should be able to have access to the tv remote to adjust volume and change the television stations, a couple of charging stations similar to the library and cafeteria at Carroll Community College. Where all the different cords are available to BLACK CARD MEMBERS. Fast charger cords: iPad, iPhone, Android, etc
to charge their devices. These areas for ALL PLANET FITNESSES should be made much more users friendly and inviting for BLACK CARD MEMBERS.
I want to be able to go to MY OWN LOCAL PLANET FITNESS and enjoy the experience. I encourage you to do surveys of other Planet Fitnesses Members on how to improve OUR GYM & their suggestions, especially BLACK CARD MEMBERS. I can't wait to see OUR NEW PLANET FITNESS WESTMINSTER, MARYLAND LOCATION

I reached my weight goal in 4 months & then started working on muscle tone & the selection of equipment is so large that I’ve switched out some pieces I decided I didn’t like using ( you get bored) & now use something else. If I could leave negative stars i would. I informed the employees that the bathroom and showers needed cleaned, next day still disgusting wasn’t cleaned. Hair tie still in the same spot, atleast the used tampon got picked up. Called and spoke to management requested my membership to be cancelled was assured it would be, it wasn’t. Two months later still getting charged as well as getting charged $50 for annual fee, was told that they gave me a month free and would not refund me. If you’re debating on signing up for planet fitness do not go to this one. Thank you Destiny, for not helping or following thru.
