It was great. A super hard workout I loved it. I would love it if the music were a little less loud and she didn’t use the microphone. There were only four people in the class and I think we could’ve heard just fine without it if the music were less loud and she spoke. But she was great and I really really enjoyed a great workout.

I used to attend this studio, but despite the many positive reviews, my experience was disappointing. I often felt disrespected and disregarded by staff, and on several occasions overheard front desk employees talking about me, which was both unprofessional and uncomfortable. There was also unequal treatment of clients — I was turned away for being a minute or two late, while others were allowed in. For a business that presents itself as high-end, I expected much better professionalism and consistency.

After weeks of admiring my teacher colleague Ms. Kemp (whose body is bodying in the best way—thank you for the recommendation, Ms. Kemp!!!), I finally took the plunge and joined my very first Barre class—and WOW. I’m officially obsessed!
My instructor, Kathryn, was everything you could want and more—vivacious, funny, kind, supportive, helpful, encouraging, and so incredibly knowledgeable. She created such a welcoming and empowering atmosphere that made me, a total newbie, feel right at home. Her energy is absolutely contagious, and she made even the toughest parts of class feel achievable (and dare I say, fun?).
I walked out of the studio feeling strong, uplifted, and already looking forward to my next session. This is just the beginning of my Barre journey, and I couldn’t be more excited to make it a regular part of my self-care and fitness routine.

I've never done Barre before but this studio is very welcoming. They have a nice range of classes depending on the workout style you like (strength focused, traditional barre, cardio etc.) Kathryn is a really good instructor because she is friendly and gives live and helpful feedback to make sure you do the exercises properly. Since joining I've definitely improved my core, hip, and overall joint strength.

I’m fairly new to Pure Barre. I just had a Pure Barre Classic class with Sarah and she was so awesome! She was very engaged from the time that she greeted me when I walked into the studio and throughout the class. She acknowledged each class participant (by name) for their efforts during the class, and also provided encouragement. I truly appreciate her ability to recognize and correct our form when needed. I love this studio, my mom and I come here to work out frequently. I wanted to give a shout out to Heather, who works at the front desk. She’s very kind and has helped me out on multiple occasions. In addition, I recommend trying Sarah C’s classes, she has excellent form and is a great teacher. if you were looking for improved strength, and stability definitely check this studio out.

Took a free class with them in November, the class was a bit difficult and I told them I would need more time to think about doing another one and work to build my strength. I told them I would call and schedule when I was ready. That was in November of 2024. It is now January of 2025 and they have been calling and texting incessantly! I replied STOP to the text messages but that did not stop the calls and voicemails, I repeatedly asked for them to stop calling me. This threw me off from ever booking a class with them again. Today I spoke to Heather and yet again asked her to stop calling me, she responded with “well you could’ve just asked” and I said “I DID ask, multiple times”. She finally took me off the list and I hope to never be bothered again. The free class was good though, I would recommend. Just beware that they use harassment tactics to get you to come back

I love these classes, and am trying to convert everyone I know! This location is so inclusive, and great no matter where your fitness level is. I love Loren and Ashley’s instruction style, and I feel challenged every class in some new way. Pure Barre Roland Park is THE place to be!! They offer four different class formats to meet all of your fitness needs and help you accomplish your goals. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and all-around amazing at what they do. Every exercise is modifiable as well, making it very safe and accessible for all, no matter your age, shape, or size including those recovering from injury and during/after pregnancy! They offer a class called "Engage" a few times a week that is designed for first-timers to get introduced to the technique in a personalized small group setting before attending a regular class. I love Pure Barre Roland Park! I've been a member here since I moved to Baltimore about 9 months ago, but I'd previously dropped in to take classes when I was in the area visiting. The instructors are great and helpful. I always feel like I get a great workout, but also like that I get to have some "me" time. I love that I am so in the moment in class that my mind doesn't wander and think about all the other things going on. I also have gotten so much stronger and feel better, both physically AND mentally. I would recommend attending a class here to anyone!

I've been working out here since March 2017, and I'm in the best shape I've ever been in. I have a really hard time pacing myself so group exercise classes are the best option for me, and these are the only classes I have ever been able to stick with long-term that have been challenging enough to make me noticeable stronger. The exercise is difficult but fun, and there are enough classes offered that I can go 3-5 times a week.The teachers are all professional, positive, and encouraging.

I love Pure Barre Roland Park! I go to classes 3-5 times a week and I would go more if I could! I started as a complete novice and the instructors were patient and willing to help me with my poses so that I could get the most out of the workouts. Everyone is so nice; instructors and check-in desk ladies learn your name after only a couple of weeks, which I appreciated a lot! Classes provided are a great workout! You will definitely feel the burn in each muscle this workout targets, which basically encompasses your entire body. The managers are very helpful. I especially love that with the 12 month membership you can take classes in Roland Park or at the Harborside studio. This is my second week doing Pure Barre and I absolutely love it. It is a great way to have a challenging workout, in a short period of time, where you are really encouraged to push yourself as far as you can. The teachers are devoted to making sure you are doing the positions correctly to have the most beneficial workout experience.

This is one of my all time favorite workouts!!! I started Pure Barre in September and I am so happy with my results so far! I love that the classes are high intensity, but still heavily focus on form and posture. All of the Pure Barre teachers at Roland Park are so helpful and care about you and your workout! Pure Barre is the perfect escape for college students looking to get into shape! Take take take Pure Barre at Roland Park!
