I have been almost 2 years with this gym and so far I like everything they offer, clean environment, nice staff, overall everything is good and my daughter loves it too. Can’t wait for them to open back again.

Do not recommend, avoid. Gym is basic, not well-maintained & understaffed. I left because of those issues and Retro did not bother to properly cancel my membership despite cancelling in person at the front desk. I cancelled my membership on 2/25, paid out the fees, and they are still charging me on 3/19... Had to file a complaint with better BBB about ABC financial, which is their company that collects dues, it's basically a shady payday loan company, avoid at all costs. Would be awesome if somebody at Retro could check the email account and bother to write anything back. Poor customer service for sure, and that carries over to the gym maintenance and quality. Terrible experience having to keep following up on $20 to avoid debt collection referral.

Seriously? They've got an ad for this location on loop instead of music. The men's locker is currently 96 degrees, they constantly have equipment and facilities down.

Took three months for them to correct my membership that they entered incorrectly. If it wasn't the only gym in the area I'd be going elsewhere.

Walked in and as soon as i did, felt a great environment, also the personal was great on informing me on everything that pertain to the membership and any question i had. Retro fitness located in Lanham is my favorite gym anytime I visit Maryland. it’s packed with lots of activities/classes and state of the art gym equipment such as the cardio movie theater. Super cool!!!
The Zumba class is my favorite class and yes, i also enjoy buying smoothies at the retro blends smoothie bar after classes. How refreshing?
I highly recommend to all fitness buffs, locals and tourists

It was an awesome gym before the new manager took over and decided to take everyone who paid monthly and add them to an annual subscription. I called there twice and both times he wasn’t available. He was either on the gym floor dispensing advice to people who didn’t ask or laying game on married chicks. First hand experience on that one so y advice would be to find a different gym or piece together a home gym. If you don’t you’ll have a bill go to collections.

Try cancelling your membership, they make sure theres no easy way possible to do so. Went to the gym numerous times and each time it was a different story, from having to call somewhere, email someobody or speak to a specific manager that by magic isnt in at that time. Have racked up on +$100 and still cannot get the monthly charges to go away. Sent to collections now and still don't know how to cancel here. Stay away from this monthly robbery

I just joined and so far I'm unimpressed. The gym is always a mess. Weights, gym bags, and book bags are all over the floor. No one ever re-racks after use and just leave the equipment wherever it was used which means you have to go searching for barbells and dumbbells you need. The friendly staff and the smoothie bar are the best things going so far.

Low pressure gym, slow about repairing equipment, Basic gym no frills. Can’t seem to keep WiFi or cable working. They have at least 4 pieces of equipment that have been down for about a year or more. I’m trying to hold on as it is really close to my home. They cannot just compete on price they need to up their game!

I ended my contract early because i was no longer able to go to this gym. They continued to auto-deduct amount form my credit card and would not stop. You can cancel your subcription but they will continue to charge you over 60days. Not a happy customer.

They are too corrupt They took money from my account for no reason .They Have a very bad customer service.They did not give me a worth explanation about the money taken from my account.after all that I decide to finish with them. So I said to one of their employees that I wanted to cancel my membership, he said that the mananger was responsible for that. Manager pretended to have a meeting late at night where nobody was there.I know They were playing with me...That was very disrespectful from them( They went even far They insulted me). This place is a very disorganize bussines everytime you want to cancel your membership the person at the front desk tells you they can't do it because the manager is not available and he's the only one that has access to the system what type of a bussines hires a manager that's never around also in the daycare they have a guy watching your children wich I tottaly disapprove, when they first opened this place the cleaning use to get done often now they rarely do any maintenance to the gym, they charge to much money and give you very poor service it seems to me like the owner of this place is stashing all the money cause they're personel is being changed very often.

Nice gym, daycare, classes, staff. I think class instructors are treated unfairly so you might lose a good class. No matter your age, weight, etc, you can feel comfortable there.

i had a very bad experience with one of the employee. when i try to talk to her about my bill.
she called her self to be the manager and next day i found out she was just an assistant
she was very nasty and rude to my friends just because they didnt speak English. When i spoke with her on the phone she was very nasty as well. the day i was able to go pay my bill she was there very nice at first but as we went alone she remember me and went back to be rude. she was on the phone all the time with her headphones around her neck witch i found very unprofessional for a "manager" when we was wrapping up she told me i had a very nasty attitude!!!!! i have never in my life see a manager saying such thing to a costumer. if thats the way she treats complicated costumers she needs to b reevaluate and check if she really deserve to have the position she said she has because im pretty sure im not the 1st or last complicated costumer she is going to have
and if i was nasty and rude to her was because she was rude to us! i have referee many people to them but with people like her around i doubt i'll ever refereed anyone else
i love the ppl there she just needs to get her attitude together and learn how to deal with complicated costumers

Employees each lack knowledge of their own gym policies and are horrible at identifying their own problems within their staff. Asked multiple employees about the cancellation policy and each responded with "I don't know I'll ask the guy that does the cancellations here" or something which led to a demonstration of no understanding of how their gym operates. Could not even cancel my membership without exhibition of bad service

I like the Gym, and the location. But It was disturbing and shocked to see 2 guys been disrespected by the manager while am working out at this location.
first I assumed that its was some kind of show or prank . But when I saw the manager yelling and run into them like he want to punch the 2 guys.
I didn’t believed what my eyes seeing at that time.

If he treats those 2 guys with disrespect, god knows what he do for other customers. No one deserves to be treated that way. I never seen Manager created a scene like that in my life but I also won't stand to see people disrespected and treated the way that man treated those 2 guys.
He should be the rude and former manager, not the new manager.

Staff isn't very friendly. Membership Rep lied and told me my membership was month to month like Planet Fitness - when I tried to cancel they told me I could not do that and I had a 1 year membership. - Needless to say I went back to Planet Fitness in Greenbelt.

New for now! Clean for now! Most members still do not clean after themselves even though they provide you with wipes to clean your machines. Staff is ok. Personal Training Division is very discriminating and Prejudice. Watch out, they target only those who they can get to. They are rude and unfriendly to the ones that don't need their services.
