The classes were good. I dropped in for a few months for work and decided to try this gym because I love rowing. The front desk girl Rose(who needs chapstick) made my time here miserable. I informed her that I wanted unlimited as I would be coming in 4/5 days a week. She tried to get me to sign up for 8 classes at a higher price because "I might forget to cancel" I should've walked out right then and there but I really wanted to try this gym. After I signed up she did everything she could to try and get me to quit with her micro aggression attitude and tampering with my user permissions on the app and blocked me from signing up for classes. She told me I would need to call in for every class I wanted to join. At this point Id had enough and I canceled my membership after 45 days. Also other than the Asian lady, who also helped in my decision, the coaches were top notch, friendly and welcoming.

I could not imagine my life without Row House! Rowing is a low impact, total body exercise that is so important at this stage of my life. Row House makes it fun - a variety of classes with great music, community, and most importantly coaches (who are friendly, motivating and incredibly helpful)!

Love! My new obsession! Honestly, I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I do. I go into class with the weight of the day on my shoulders, But when I leave... I'm glowing and in such a better head space. The instructors are so great and the energy from the class is so uplifting. I highly recommend taking a few classes and then making a decision. It only took me one class to fall in love but 4 classes confirmed it.

This is the first time in my life that I have stayed with a fitness routine and have been committed to myself fully. I love that the Row House offers different types of classes and times so that I always have an option based on my schedule. Every coach is amazing in their own way. They motivate, support and uplift my spirits every week and I really can’t imagine not having Row House in my life now. Shout out to Coach Sarah for always making me feel like I can do anything. She pushes me to step out of my comfort zone and she inspires me to keep going. Lauren and Rose have also been so sweet and kind to me. You can’t help but feel welcomed there. Best workout in Southern Maryland! The staff could not be more welcoming and inclusive. Wouldn’t miss the Monday morning Restore class with Coach Cara. She always has a great playlist and her floor exercises are just what I need to stay flexible and strong. My fellow rowers are becoming great friends and are also very supportive.

I went to Row House SOMD for the first time this past Tuesday, and it was such a wonderful experience. The front of house staff were so supportive and thorough with the program and membership explanations. They gave me water and set me up at my rower. My coach, Annette, was fantastic and high energy, and great for feedback and positive affirmations. The entire class felt like a team, and everyone was so supportive of each other— Needless to say, I absolutely loved it. I signed up for my once a week membership and will be back next week!

SOMD Row House is a great place to workout. I’ve been a member for about 6 weeks now and my workout continues to improve with each class. All of the coaches get you motivated and energize you. It’s tough to pick 1 coach but my best workouts have been with Coach Gretchen. The atmosphere is nice, people are friendly and song choices are great too!

I was one of the initial members of rowhouse when it first opened here and absolutely loved it. Life intervened and I stop going. That was 2 years ago. Friday was my first class back and I'm seriously kicking myself for leaving. I love everything about this place, the employees, coaches and other members. Anyone who needs effective, low impact exercise, this is the place to go!

Is by far one of my favorite fitness studios. Lauren was so kind and helpful in enrolling me. I attended the theme row class recently and let me just say…. Roland brought the energy! Loved every second of it. The coaches, front desk staff, and members are all a joy to be around. Their positive attitude truly makes my day and makes the workout more enjoyable. The classes are fun and lively. This is perfect for beginners and experienced rowers. I always look forward to it. They have many different classes that support busy schedules. Great place to help reach your fitness goals and challenge yourself!

One of the best decisions I have made in steps to bettering my health. Way better than any regular gym. The best most inclusive environment for any one of any age. Staff and coaches are so supportive no matter your level of fitness and push you to do whatever you can to get in the groove of building a good routine. Absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new or is too shy to go to a regular gym!!!! You will not regret the decision

I started Row House earlier this year with many health problems. I'm not used to being around people but this was different. It was welcoming, the only competition is from comradery with the other rowers to achieve the best for ourselves and the class. 7mo later my health is incredibly better and I thank a friend for the recommendation.

Row House SoMD is the best! The coaches, the music, the studio, the classes…..the absolute best! I took a long break after moving 30 minutes North of the studio while managing a crazy work schedule. I just came back and man it feels good to be home! Same erg (you know, I have my favorite spot), new faces, new coach Erin was fantastic! I can’t forget to mention Lauren….manager extraordinaire! I was greeted warmly and the instructor, Gretchen, took the time to explain everything to me. As someone new to fitness I expected the process to be intimidating but it wasn't! Everyone was so incredibly nice and Cara was an energetic, attentive and encouraging instructor. It was my first time doing a group row class anywhere, but she and the rest of the group made me feel at ease and pumped me up the whole time. I got a great workout and was super proud of myself.... And it was fun! There were a couple moments in the bit of floor work we did where it veered into yoga a bit and that was a bit surprising and I just kinda had to not do those parts that were not just simple stretches, since that conflicts with my Christian faith, BUT, other than that, it was fantastic. I would definitely go back. I just have to figure out if the cost works for me since it's the same price for 4 classes a month as it is for my previous gym membership I had that included use of all the equipment, classes, sauna, water massage and more. I'm now trying to decide if I should just buy my own machine for home.

When I first walked in I was greeted by Lauren and she was very friendly. She took me to my machine and showed me how to use it.

Recently, I went to a restore class at Rowhouse. Everyone there was upbeat and supportive. My instructor, Erin gave me a thorough explanation of the how’s and why’s of the machine and technique. It was a challenging class, but is very doable. Thanks to Erin’s motivational teaching and the music, this older lady is happy to say I made it through the class and looking forward to the next one!

I have a hard time motivating myself to work out. At Row House, all you have to do is show up, and the coaches take care of the rest. They are so motivating and fun, and the workouts are challenging. Good mix of cardio, weights, and stretching. I've been a member for a year and I love it!

The RESTORE class was exactly what I needed as sort of an intro to Row House. I had only experienced Row House one other time and that was with a group through Wounded Warrior Project. I will say that if you arrive feeling demotivated or anxious in the least, the music alone will get you Pumped!!! You can't help but be READY!

Rowing is an amazing exercise for the entire body! It can be very physically challenging (depending on how hard I push myself) without being overly intimidating. Classes and instructors vary, so I can pick what works for me. Intervals and Warrior are my favorite classes because half the class is core work off the rower and strength/endurance on the rower. There are only a few daily classes and they can book up quickly.

I absolutely love being a member at Row House. From the coaches, to the other members, to the staff at the front desk, everyone at Row House makes you feel welcome to be there and everyone is excited for you and the progress you make there. There is no better feeling than walking into a class and being greeted, by name, by your coaches and the other class participants. This studio is the first place that has ever made me enjoy working out. I legitimately look forward to my 5am classes and starting the day with Row. So glad to be part of this community!

I’m 72 and just started. Instructor is wonderful, as is the staff. Felt right at home by everyone. I was apprehensive of the impact rowing would have on my previously crushed knee. Left the class feeling wonderful and woke up next day and my knee felt better than it has in a very long time. Somehow I rowed nearly 4500 meters. Best Christmas gift ever.

My first introductory class answered any hesitancy I had to make a commitment. I’m very out of shape and the class I took allows me to progress until I’m able to participate in stronger workouts. The staff I met are all so pleasant and patient. The class participants/members are pleasant without being overwhelming. I’ve never really used classes in the past so it’s a different workout format for me. I feel the support I need to get past this awkward stage of feeling unfit. Will definitely be attending classes regularly! Thank you, Row House!

I started Row House (SOMD) January 13, 2021. It has been nonstop since then! I love everything about the Row House!! It’s a full body workout to awesome music and great coaches!! This week we are doing ROWVEMBER and it has been soooooo much fun!! The classes have been anywhere from Relays to Awesome Games (Darts, Fish game, Golf and many many more) on the ERG!! Row House has been a great way to exercise with low impact but challenging cardio and strength training. All ages and fitness levels are welcomed. Being part of a "crew" during class, putting out your best effort to achieve personal and class goals are fun. Celebrating our meter milestones keep me motivated to keep working and coming back. Every instructor, front desk staff, and the manager Lauryn are there to encourage us and add special personal touches like messaging. It's a real family and team atmosphere and I always try to get others to come try it out!

Great place to workout and challenge yourself! I was bored with my previous workout routine so decided to try Row House after seeing some of my coworkers attending classes there. They walked me through everything I needed to know to be successful my first class and thereafter. Multiple class structures available, wide variety of times to choose from, always clean and have not had a bad coach yet. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

My first class was so much fun! Gretchen was the trainer - somehow she kept us motivated no matter how tired we got. They have a set up that enabled her to see everyone’s stats, so she could call us by name to encourage us. If you like stats and metrics, this kind of workout is for you!

The price isn’t cheap, but it’s not expensive, either. It’s been fairly easy for me to acquire a spot in my preferred class, even from the waitlist. The equipment works great and there’s plenty of space for everyone. I’ve only taken instructor Claudia’s classes and she’s very skilled at encouraging group members to aim for both individual and group PR and other personal improvements. She’s great at keeping the class in rhythm.

I went to my first "free" class on Monday...it was great. Both Erin and Taylor were super nice and informative about the class and how to use the row machine. I haven't exercised in months so I was concerned that I would not be able to keep up ( they picked a great class for me to start) but was able to for the most part. I love this place! It’s the perfect low (almost none) impact and high intensity to work on cardio. I HATE cardio but I want to better my endurance and rowing classes may just be the perfect thing for me!!!

She is always providing good feedback before, during, and after the class. I've also taken a few of the other coaches and you honestly can't go wrong. The Row House is a refreshing change of pace. From the moment you walk in the door sometimes greets you by name. The Coaches definitely care about each rower, guiding you in how to row safely but effectively. If you need to just have an easy row after a tiring day, no pressure. Let me start off by saying WOW! I do not work out what so ever, but was invited to try the class. I figured sure you should try everything once. The class was really fun and welcoming. Even though when they closed the doors I wanted to run away. After pushing through and having a few days of pain from never working out, i feel amazing...I wouldn't mind doing it again.

I absolutely love, love the Row House. When you enter the Row House, the staff always makes you feel welcomed, and take time to explain everything to you. I can't say enough about the Coaches they are terrific. Even when in a class with other clients, they are able to give you some personal attention, if needed or wanted. They keep you motivated and on track. The floor exercises are good for me. Especially when working on balance.
The Row House is just what I need, low impact, and aerobic workout.
I would recommend the Row House for young and old alike. There are a number of clients that come with their spouse, and children. In addition they offer Personal Training. A highlight for me is that I can now get down on the floor with my grandchildren and get back up without help. CBS

The only gym I will wake up at 6am for! I have been working out with Rowhouse since February and love the environment here. I have taken classes with all of the coaches here; they are all very upbeat and do an excellent job keeping the class motivated and fun (see my 6am comment) while keeping it challenging. I also appreciate that they all know how to tailor the workouts to the individual, meaning that everyone, ranging from first workout ever to lifelong athlete, can enjoy themselves and get a good workout. All of your fellow classmates are also very encouraging; it feels like a big crew and there is never any feeling of someone trying to outshine the other. A lot of the gyms I have gone to in the past aren't able to create this type of environment; if you aren't already very fit, you leave feeling discouraged and demotivated. You will not have this problem at Rowhouse. The front desk staff is also absolutely phenomenal. They make the effort to greet everyone by name and are always smiling! I have only had one administrative issue and they fixed it within 2 minutes, which I fully appreciate how quickly they resolved it. I would absolutely recommend SOMD Rowhouse to anyone!

The idea of rowing class is something that is funny to me, because you’re rowing a boat without water…once you get into the class the instructor makes it fun and a fantastic workout. That’s why we are here right? To enjoy working out…this place truly gives me both, and I’m sore in places not typically used during a normal workout. This is a great exercise to add into your routine weekly or biweekly.

The coaches and front desk staff are all great! They are knowledgeable, professional, friendly and are always there to help you!! I really like the different workout programs to choose from. I also have to mention the interactive app! It’s so quick and easy to select the time, program and spot. It provides a email reminder an hour prior. You even get a workout summary of your performance before you even get to your car!! I’ll never go back to a regular gym!

The gym is clean and is equipped with extremely friendly front desk staff. With a variety of classes along with different coaches, I guarantee you will find a favorite. Fellow rowers are easy to chat with; the music helps you find your rowing rhythm along with your coaches' cues; the change in gym lighting is fun. My husband and I have been going to the Row House for nearly a year. What started out as a “let’s just see if we like it” to absolutely loving it. What makes Row House different from other gyms is Lauren and Taylor, who are the first impression you get from walking through the front door of the Row House. Their smiles and warm personalities make you feel welcome each and every time you walk through the door. If it’s your first time, they make sure you’re set-up and comfortable on the rower, and also make sure the coach know it’s your first time. I’ve observed every age and fitness level in my classes, from 18-80+. The coaches (shout out to Gretchen, Roland, and Deanna!!) are motivating, and encouraging and they makes us look forward to the next class. If you haven’t ever experienced a row class, you must try the Row House. Your health is worth it!!

I always liked rowing on a ERG so I decided to do the free class when they first opened. I could tell from the beginning of the class, that this place was awesome. Aside from having a variety of classes and times that fit any schedule, they are very member focused and cheer you on when you reach a milestone. This isn’t a place that you will get judged for not being in the best shape, and you get a sense of belonging. Speaking of Fitness, this place will get you in shape, keep you in shape, and make you better the more you come. Check out the different types of classes they have. I guarantee you there is one for you to get your workout on. This place is constantly changing things up to make it exciting and break the monotony of just rowing. From the music, the coaches, and the crew, this place has been amazing and I am proud to be apart of this SOMD Crew. 10/10 would recommend.
