This is THE place to get back in shape. For me, I was looking for help to get through the tough 3 months back into training after a back surgery a little over a year ago. Not only did I get the help and support necessary to be consistent and accountable, but Jake turns out to be expert at navigating the little problems I have as leftovers from nerve damage and arthritis. We push a little bit every week and my growth over a period of three months has been miraculous. Lost an inch and maybe 3 pounds, but gained tons of strength and endurance. Ready for my dream surf trip back to Costa Rica next week!! Woooo!
**Update: 189 workouts later, over a year and a half, I’ve put on muscle, lost bodyfat and am more limber. Three successful surf trips under my belt. My tricep re-attachment (from a work injury) has healed completely and I’m able to do bench press and overhead press again. Jake has been immensely helpful in guiding me through the whole process. Feels great!

I came to SITP with a goal of becoming stronger and fitter. I have never been in a strength or fitness program before in my now 5 plus decades of life so Jake had his work cut out for him. He created a program that was challenging and fun and he was there with me with for every movement I made for two months of personal training 2-3 times/week teaching me how to use my body correctly. During this time I slowly started to meet my goals but never got hurt. I now attend classes with a great group of people that never judge and are always encouraging. My horse riding has significantly improved and my body has more definition. If you are looking for quality training with educated professionals Jake and Mallory’s gym is for you. If you want the big box approach go somewhere else.
