I have been to this gym 2x. Once for mommy and me pre-covid and once to attempt to have my child in the Comets. This gym is woefully understaffed and make no attempt at customer service to assist children in feeling comfortable and excited about attending gymnastics class. My mommy and me instructor was being "trained" but was not shown how to spot the children on the gym equipment and certainly were not shown how to engage with children on a recreational level. They have no office staff on Saturdays and the two coaches present today looked miserable. My childr was feeling anxious about starting something new and not one person introduced themself to him or us or attempted to make him feel like he belonged. They walked on the floor and did nothing. Never again.

Wanted to ask questions about the summer camp but they dont pick up the phone. I went in person and the front desk wasn't busy with any other customers. If I needed to get ahold of them during the camp I probably wouldn't be able to. So I'm going to bring my daughter somewhere else where communication won't be an issue.

It was a waste of money. My daughter is intermediate level and she told us she was bored doing cart wheels and not challenging her. She missed one class and we asked for a make up class and they said it should be within the same week she was absent (maybe is a rule i didn't read, and they might be right at this). I think this is more of a day care and birthday place than a place that prepares athletes. Two stars because facility is nice.

Our daughter has been going to the Little Stars class (18 months through 3 years with adult participation) since she was 18 months and absolutely loves it. It's amazing to watch a child practice a skill and become better at it with time. Coach Alexa has been wonderful with the kids, she figures out how to challenge them at their level, still keep it fun, and somehow manage to focus them (as much as toddlers can focus). Growing up as a dancer from age 10, I understand how these early developmental classes are for the development of a person (not only the physical, but also the mental and life management skills) and I am glad we found Silver Stars Gymnastics to give our daughter something exciting to look forward to each week.

My daughter was registered for a gymnastics class but then everything was shut down due to pandemic. The shut down happened before the class even started. Every sport my daughter was registered for that had to shut down due to the pandemic has given customers back their refund. However, Silver Stars Gymnastics has refused to give me a refund telling me they can give me a credit for another class. I don't need a credit for another class because my daugther can't take gymnastics this summer because we already had summer plans. I make my schedules ahead of time, so if a company has to cancel the activity for the date I selected then I expect m money back for a service you didn't provide. I should not be forced to just take another class whenever you decide to offer it! My daughter participates with three other companies for sports, all refunded their customers since they didn't provide the service, EXCEPT for this money hungry company, maybe if you didn't spend the money your customers pay you, before you even provide the service, it wouldn't be an issue giving them their money back. I want my$190.00

This will make a full year for me and my daughter. She started a few months before she turned 2. She looks forward to coming and tells everyone about her class. The instructors are awesome and incorporate small things like colors and counting into the routines. We go mainly for enrichment, to help with confidence, listening, and following directions. They have made us feel like part of the family in the year that we've been there.

My daughter has been coming here for 2 years and the coaches are lazy. We rotate between tumbling and comets. Her current coach sits on her butt while yelling at the kids to do their routines. She seems uninstrested and lazy and always on her Bluetooth. This will be our last session here.

We first learned about Silver Stars Gymnastics in Bowie when I was on maternity leave with my daughter. They offer daily β€œopen gyms” where children can come and play on the equipment. It is free for babies who are not walking, and I used it to get out of the house and socialize with other parents. It is a 20-minute drive from our home, so I signed my daughter up at a gym closer to our home for weekly classes when she turned three. I felt disconnected at the other gym, as I didn’t know the coaches names and the other parents didn’t interact during the classes. I missed the community at Silver Stars, and so we signed up for the next session of Twinkling Stars. I loved the small class size and she liked the individualized attention from her coaches. The coaches greet my children by name and with genuine affection.

Scheduling classes at Silver Stars is very convenient and flexible for busy schedules. I am able to arrange classes for my 7 year old and 4 year old at the same time, giving me a few minutes to enjoy watching them learn and grow through the large observation windows. The other parents are very friendly, and I usually spend the entire time socializing. My son enjoys playing with other siblings or Mr. Charles from Castle Laser Tag next door, while waiting for his class to start.

Ms. Tiffany, the manager, has gone above and beyond to make us feel like part of the Silver Stars family. She sets high expectations for her instructors/coaches and makes an effort to get to know each family. Ms. Tiffany is at the gym just about every night, ready to responds to parental concerns quickly and professionally. She worked hard to arrange my son’s birthday party on short notice, and even allowed him to help choose the activities that would be available.

After 7 years of open gym, birthday parties, camps, classes, and Kid’s Night Out, this is a second home to my children. Ms. Tiffany and her amazing coaches create a safe and welcoming environment for children and their parents. I highly recommend Silver Stars in Bowie to any family with young children. There is something for everyone.

If I had one suggestion, it would be for the coaches to introduce themselves to the parents at the beginning of each session. I had to be outgoing to get to know them, and they are fantastic!

Silver Stars Bowie has been the best decision I've made for my daughter. She started at 18 months as shy and fearful little one. She is now 2.5 and has become more confident in her physical abilities and is very outgoing. She very much enjoys our weekly classes. Her teacher Tiffany is amazing with her --understanding her moods and adding new configurations to challenge and grow her abilities. They are also very flexible adapting to sleep schedules, and offering make up classes. I can highly recommend this gym to any parent.

We used Silver Stars for my son's 5th birthday party. This was an absolutely flawless and wonderful experience. The setup, execution and cleanup was entirely taken care of by the wonderful staff at Silver Stars. My 5 year old son and his friends had a wonderful time, running, bouncing, swinging, jumping and tumbling during the party. We used the pizza option as refreshments, brought our own cake, and then silver Stars provided to-go goodie cups for the kids. It was the easiest party we've ever had for our son and I would do it over exactly the same way 1000%.

My daughter and I have had a wonderful experience with Silver Stars Gymnastics in Bowie. We started when she was 18 months old as a way to help her burn some energy and socialize with other children and adults. I was nervous at first because she was still very much in the "stranger-danger" phase of babyhood, and wouldn't let go of me without crying. Tiffany, our teacher, made both of us feel welcome right away and has worked diligently to develop a relationship with my daughter that goes well beyond just teaching physical skills. My daughter has been in class with Tiffany for six months and has not only improved on her physical dexterity, but now willingly gives a high-five at the end of class and interacts with Tiffany and the other participants in the class. I am also impressed with the flexibility and willingness to work with my daughter's ever-changing schedule. We love Silver Stars and plan to continue classes with Miss Tiffany as long as she'll put up with us!

I have brought my child here for a couple of years now but last summer and this summer, our experience with the staff is not so good at all. When we went to attend the open gym, the staff was rude to me and my child. My child was so anxious on the trampoline so I stayed nearby, and then the staff told me off that parents should not be on any equipment. I explained to her that I was trying to get my child comfortable that I'm only near her and will pick her up if she is not really comfortable. She still rudely answered me that it's their policy. When my other son played with the ponies, he was told off that they should not mess them up. we were so annoyed and disappointed with the attitude of the staff there that we decided not to come back last summer. When we visited last week, we were told that my son won't get admitted on open gym because it's only for preschool. My child is 8 years old and we didn't know that open gym is now just for preschool. My child was really looking forward to play and he almost cried when we were told that only preschool children will be accepted. The staff didn't even said anything and just sat there staring at us in a "don't care attitude". The gym must be filled with staff who care about children and has good manners and customer service and not rude or unpleasant. The front desk staff and the gym staff should be more pleasant and caring to the customers. We don't know what we are going to do with the remaining slots on our open gym account if they have rude staff and a policy that won't allow my child to play :(

So this is a review of a meet they ran. There were maybe 50 kids total, from only two teams. The meet took FIVE HOURS. It was so terrifyingly terrible. It is December, and honest to God the grass was growing more quickly then the meet was progressing. Some poor kid turned 13, had her Bat Mitzvah, did the chair dance, and got a gift card to Amazon because the meet took so long. Another kid grew a mustache. He was a spectator, but I'm pretty sure when we came in he was still only 11. It was that terrible. I did the comps on how long it would take an ideal meet to be run. Figure four stations, 2 minutes per kid, max of 15 kids in any one station. That's 30 minutes * 4. So I admit, perfect efficiency is impossible. Two perfect hours to three well run hours, that's professional. Three well run hours to four plodding hours, that's life. But four life hours to five death hours where the parents, the kids, and new babies that were born during the trauma are all crying uncle, that's just terrible. So yeah, one star. Do not ever go to a meet here if you can help it.

It was okay. Not much supervision for the summer program. My child was beat up in the corner by another child and none of the adults knew nor did they take any disciplinary actions. HORRIBLE!

My daughter attends classes here. Her teacher is fine, but I wished they would challenge the older toddlers more. I love their Kids Night Out that occurs every first Saturday of the month. I always try to invite my friends to drop there kids off there when my daughter participates. They also have day, winter, spring, and summer camps. The most convenient thing ever! The day camps take place on those random days that students have off from school, but you still have to go to work. I take full advantage of there services. :-) I'll do another review after we host my daughter's birthday party there.
