From the second you walk through the doors here you feel like part of the family. From advice, to equipment and the facility, to personal training, everything about Smitty's is top notch.

You can expect to be greeted with a smile not only from Kenny and Flo, but the entire community/environment that they have fostered in the gym. By far the most welcoming gym environment and community that I have found in MD, over 3 years that has remained constant. If you want a place to achieve your fitness goals (at any level), this is the place to be.

The ONLY reason I cancelled is because I moved away from the area in 2021. When I moved back a month ago and needed to re-up at a gym, Kenny's place was my first and only stop. I was thrilled to see the place was still just as I remembered it but with some additional equipment and was now open 24 hours.

What you'll get here: a good lift, equipment variety, great company, clean facilities, 24-hour access, and a fair price. Kenny and his wife Flo are honest and want nothing more than to help the public stay and get in shape while providing the tools to do so. They're not interested in ripping you off or pinching your wallet; his price was pretty much the exact same as it was when I left the area in 2020 which was awesome.

What you won't get here: Mega-gym style amenities like a dirty pool, overpriced shakes, ridiculous fees/prices, and excessive crowds.

You want a no-nonsense gym and welcoming environment to pump some iron, get the blood flowing, and shoot the breeze with the homies? This is your place. Thanks Kenny and Flo for not selling out!

Best gym I’ve been to since moving to Maryland in 2022. Owner is a very hospitable guy and their equipment is state of the art. For the price, no other gym in the local area can compete with the quality Smitty’s Gym provides. This will be my home gym for years to come - no regrets!

I love Ken and Florence. They are a great couple who run an awesome..old school gym all the way. So if you into texting and being on your phone this isn't the place for you! Workout or get out! No bull and everyone is family so we help each other to make gains..be better people physically and mentally. A gym fam is what they are!! They are my family for sure!!!!

This is an incredible gym! Definitely a family environment. I come pretty much every day and the owners are always there and willing to help. I don't know much about gyms or the equipment but they always make sure that they explain how I can improve my form. They challenge me every single week to add more weight to my exercises and I definitely see the transformation that's happening in my body. I am much stronger now as a result of coming here!
