Once upon a time, I brought AntiGravity fitness (Aerial sling) to the Fit room. It's a shame that this room isn't actually kept clean as all my contracts with The City stated it would be. Maybe ok for classes where you can keep your shoes on and only walk on the floors, but no good for Aerial Fitness as this room is used for parties and rarely properly cleaned afterwards. One time, a party set off a fire extinguisher everywhere and even though the city knew about this mess, they didn't bother to tell me or my students before we all showed up for class. My students have had to put their hands in dried soda spilled on the floor, just to give you an idea.
I'm currently recovering from an injury and hope to resume classes in another space after my recovery. The city has essentially given my business to another person from a different county - they lied to me about it, telling me the program would not continue while I was injured. This instructor has almost no experience and shouldn't be teaching full classes yet, for the safety of students.
After reading all of that- If you wish to support the city of Hagerstown parks and rec -or thankfully more so the contractor instructors who make the classes- you can see my attached photo which is a screen shot from before they really started to show their greed & mistreatment of local fitness entrepreneurs.
It is my hope to continue teaching in the Hagerstown area in a *clean* space with better registration options when I am physically able, or by helping a LOCAL instructor become certified. Be well, citizens of Hagerstown. ✨🙏✨
