I love the Pilates Place. I love going to class because everyone there is so friendly and supportive. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable but are able to make the classes fun and keep them from being boring - never the same old thing. I have to say that my flexibility has really improved which, in turn, has helped my arthritis. I have more good things to say but I’m
leaving for my class right now.

The Pilates Place provides a workout experience like no other.

Danielle- The owner, the atmosphere, all the instructors, the clients, the music, the equipment it's all 5 star.

The Pilates Place, to sum it up
In 2 words, is fun and happy.

All the while you use the reformer to get strong, mobile, flexible and balanced .
I encourage you to join to really understand all the benefits for your mind and body. Just too many to mention .

I would never give this up until maybe I'm 95.

Love this studio! I had no experience with Pilates when I started almost 2 years ago. I had a couple of great private sessions with Danielle to get familiar with it and then started taking classes. The instructors are wonderful (shout out to Nancy!), the studio space itself is a calm environment, and the people are friendly. Highly recommend!!

Every class feels like a celebration of what your body can do versus what it can’t. The instructors cater to all levels. Nancy is my favorite! She’s engaging and ensures everyone in class receives the attention they deserve. She also gives adjustments to make moves easier or more challenging - which I love! Everyone I’ve encountered in class is so kind too. A great community and I’m so glad I found this place earlier this year!

I absolutely love the Pilates Place!!! I live 45 mins away and I make the hike to come here because it is that great! Every instructor I have had so far has been knowledgable, friendly, attentive, and very considerate of your level and abilities. Nancy stands out as one of my favorites, although they honestly are ALL amazing! Do not hesitate to book a class here!!

My husband and I started coming to The Pilates Place late last summer. We started in private classes as neither of us had taken Pilates previously. I never, ever thought I would be able to handle it physically and certainly never anticipated sticking to it. Before too long, we both joined classes, together and individually and now, at 3 days a week, we love it. I have had a number of different teachers and they are all fantastic. It has been life changing, which sounds dramatic but that is how I feel. I am stronger, more fit and since my family has a history of longevity, I can now hope to stay that way for years to come. All instructors give modifications for physical limitations, though after these months, I rarely need to take the modifications. Amazing, since I have had back and shoulder surgeries and various other injuries.
For those who think Pilates is “just a little stretching”, try coming to The Pilates Place and see what happens. I turn 70 this year and feel pretty great!

The Pilates Place is the best studio for pilates. I have enjoyed every instructor I have had. They all are different and equally challenging and allow for modifications if you need/ want them. The atmosphere is positive and a great start or end to your day. I am so glad I have found this gem.

I absolutely love The Pilates Place! Every workout leaves me feeling amazing—stronger, energized, and refreshed. The instructors are fantastic—knowledgeable, encouraging, and always attentive, making sure you get the most out of every session. The boutique-style studio has such a welcoming and supportive community that makes coming to class my favorite part of my day. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, this is the perfect place to build strength, improve flexibility, and feel your best. Highly recommend! ✨

Don't think twice about giving The Pilates Place a try!!! Pilates is truly a form of exercise for everyone and The Pilates Place makes that a central focus of their ethos. I've taken many classes where to the left of me is someone in their 20's and to the right is someone in their 80's. If you hate exercise or feel completely out of shape this is the perfect place to start.

I highly recommend The Pilates Place over the various chain studios in the area. TPP instructors have a healthy and relaxed approach to their education. There's no toxic 'bikini body by summer' etc. messaging here. You will gain real strength and feel more confident inside and out!

As someone with both scoliosis and osteoporosis, I had been told repeatedly that Pilates would be beneficial for me, but I was too intimidated to try it. Well, starting reformer Pilates classes is one of the best things I have ever done for myself! I feel stronger, have improved my posture, and am more flexible. The Pilates Place instructors are welcoming and encouraging no matter your skill level. They make the classes challenging but fun in a relaxed atmosphere. My only regret is not starting sooner.

Before I discovered The Pilates Place, I was coming to terms with adult onset scoliosis, and the challenges it poses. I chose The Pilates Place because they have an instructor, Emily, who has taken an intensive course of instruction in Scolio-Pilates. Since taking weekly private lessons with Emily, my form is greatly improved, and I am finding I can modify my practice to suit my body-this has been invaluable. What would you say to someone who was thinking about trying a class? I highly recommend The Pilates Place to anyone thinking about a great studio, and especially to those who are dealing with scoliosis.

About a year ago, I was trying to find a way to get back into exercising. I was in my early 40s, had a 4-year-old and had not taken an exercise class since before my daughter was born. I had never felt so unfit; I wanted to feel stronger, healthier and do something new. I had always been intimidated by reformer classes but at the same time I was intrigued by them and thought if I could find the right one, I might really love it. Enter The Pilates Place: from the unassuming studio to the down-to-earth but incredibly knowledgeable instructors, this place is Baltimore's best-kept secret in my opinion. The classes are just the right size so the instructor can call out modifications when needed and guide everyone so that their form is correct. They are focused on making sure you get the most from each exercise and every class I learn something new or feel a muscle in my body I never knew I had. I always leave feeling stronger and mentally better than when I walked in. Unfortunately, I have very little free time these days but whenever I get a free hour I wasn't expecting, the first thing I think of is, 'oh great, maybe I can fit a class in.' Everyone in class is approachable and it just is a really friendly and supportive environment overall. There is a wide age range from probably 20-70+, and to see the benefits that this sort of practice can have on people as they age is really inspiring as well. If you are on the fence about taking a class, definitely give it a shot, you won't regret it!

I love taking classes at the Pilates Place! Everyone is warm and welcoming. Instructors are the perfect mix of friendly and professional. If a class says all levels are welcomed, believe it, as the instructors work hard to meet everyone where they are... they make adjustments for some and offer challenges to others. Every class is a positive experience and the benefits include but are not limited to, core strength, balance and posture. You always feel better at the end of a class than you do at the beginning!

This studio has such a positive environment. I hadn't worked out since before Covid so I was initially nervous to start my health journey again, but I felt right at home with so many different ages, levels of experience and body types at The Pilates Place. The clients and teachers are so welcoming and helpful! I actually look forward to working out because the teachers are always reminding us to go at our own pace and showing us modifications so everyone can feel successful. I'm so happy that I found this studio and just had to leave a review!

Loving this place! Instructors are super knowledgeable and the space is clean and beautiful. The strength work has helped me stabilize my SI joint and I have significant (if not total) relief of pain! I feel better in my body after each class. As a dancer, yogi, and trainer, I recommend all my clients, friends and family come here!

It matters not your age, body type or ability level, The Pilates Place will provide you with the best professional encouragement and knowledge to maximize your physical health via these "reformers" (sort of resembles a bed or rack of pullies, straps and springs). Class sizes do not exceed 8-10 people max and the offer of private, beginner and intermediate sessions provides the personal attention needed to preform the exercises appropriately so that you gain strength and functionality. The instructors are amazing in that they utilize the every minute of the full 50 minutes sessions by working multiple parts of your body and the sessions have never repeated themselves. Each instructor provides each person with gentle tweaks of a position so that the benefits are plentiful, motivating everyone to reach their potential and beyond. They connect with you outside of the class to check in on your well-being which is pretty much unheard of in this day and age.
Don't be afraid to give it a try, there are people recovering from body part replacements, diseases, just having had babies, along with those that are just looking for strengthening and flexibility opportunities. You will immediately feel welcomed and comfortable with the entire process. This program was recommended by my Physical Therapist as another way to strengthen my back after surgery. Haven't found the need to go back to my PT since beginning this Reformers Pilates with Danielle and her carefully hired instructors. Thank you Danielle for providing a much needed service in a clean convenient location.

The Pilates Place is a great studio. The classes are small, so the instructors can make adjustments for you as needed and are able to really watch/adjust each student. I've taken a few different classes with different instructors and enjoyed them all. The other students also make the studio friendly and welcoming. As far as facilities, the bathrooms and equipment are clean and maintained, so no worries there.

Such a great studio. I almost don't want to post a great review, because more people may want to join! A few things that make the studio wonderful are the small class sizes, the excellent cuing from the instructors, it's clean, bright and everyone is encouraging. Looking forward to more!
