Can you guys please get mulch and fix the broken play climber (triangle rope stairs) that’s been broken for YEARS. We’ve brought this to the Y attention on multiple occasions and it is a hazard at this point. The ground is muddy even days after the rain. We’ve been asking since June for more mulch. CPSC recommends a 12 inch depth and it is currently at 0, this is beyond ridiculous. The community loves to use this play space but it needs to be maintained. How can the community support this?

Hello Waverly Y
Im newbie family member. I toke a lot to convince my family to join the Y.
We love the newly renovated gym and pool we haven't tried it yet. We planning on enrolling my grandson in swimming lessons.

Y- Equipment-
I did noticed that 3 of the gliders needs to rebalanced the move all over the area. This unsafe for the user. A member and i both reported this to the short older lady who is the front manager.

Today I took my daughter inside to use the restroom and was told by the 2 women staff sitting at the front that we cannot use their facilities w/o a membership. I said I would sign up for the trial and they wanted my ID before my child could use the restroom. They guard their restrooms!

33rd Review:
The pool is nasty. I was getting into the lap lane, and the floor was full of crusty dust particles. I saw black dots on the ground, and it was in the pool. I felt so disgusted that I had to get out. But when I did, I had to swim to the shallow part first, where it looked a bit cleaner. I wanted to take a shower after my swim, and then I got in, and I saw little gnats flying. The ground looked dirty once again, and I could smell a faint odor.

Towson review:

I was in the pool again in the lap lane. I was on the far right side, swimming very slowly. (Due to foot pain) I also had my younger brother in the same lane doing laps. Out of nowhere, an employee yelled that I had to get out of the lane because I was too slow. But that is understandable, but I had to supervise my younger brother to make sure he is okay and won't drown or anything. I said this, and she kept being rude as hell. This is absurd. I pay for my membership, so I expect to be treated with respect and not bothered while I am trying to work out. Train your employees how to address members with kindness!!!

Swimming pool is always clean, gyms is spacious providing more availability and my personal favorite.....THE SAUNA 🧖🏾‍♀️. You have rock climbing 🧗🏾‍♂️ for the little ones or even if you're on the fun and adventurous side like myself. I go there to RELAX and UNWIND. Get the membership if you don't already have one and explore this location or any Y near you🥰. I've attended Zumba classes, Mixxfit classes, Yoga and have been with them for years and don't have any reason to stop now. There are many other classes that may intrigue you such as water fitness etc... Then grab your shower shoes and let that weekly stress of work or just life go down the drain, leaving there fresh and refreshed 😌. Sidenote: They do have soap dispensers but if you're like me you might want to bring your own.

Absolutely incredible gym!!! This is the best YMCA I’ve ever been to. It’s very high quality everything is brand new and customer service is great. All their facilities are great the bathroom showers. Everything is brand new the gym equipment. Everything is brand new the amount of amenities that they have at this gym is just mine blowing the gym is absolutely huge. It’s like the size of a freaking football stadium. I love this company. Beyond the facilities, a couple things I really like about the culture at the Y—people hold the door open for each other and always thank the person who held it open for them. The climbing wall is always busy with kids who are encouraged and coached by staff and one time I saw kids cheering on their mom who was trying out the wall.

The YMCA Waverly is a great gym. They have plenty of activities to keep my 6 year old engaged. I love the community outreach events as well as how professional the staff is. The YMCA is a little outside of my budget but because of the support it gives to the community i had to show my appreciation. My first day at the YMCA when I inquired about the gym I was told they had a book fair going on. Me and my daughter went to the book fair and got free books plus was able to get a lot of information on volunteering opportunities. The higher rates are worth it.
