So lucky to have found this yoga studio in the beautiful and unbeatable Takoma Park! The mentors are great, and it's a wonderful community of learners. Plus, the location is incredibly convenient: easy parking, and the Metro is only three blocks away. There's always something to do on the weekends, too, with street markets, festivals, and great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!

I am new to the area and was searching for a yoga studio that aligns with my practice. This is a yoga studio that keeps traditional yoga principles alive, which can be hard to find these days. It's an absolute gem. Every teacher that I've had here has been absolutely amazing and I am so happy to be a part of this studio!

Willow Street Yoga is a great studio. The teachers give you personal attention and know their stuff. I have done a lot of yoga on line but classes here are on a different level. Try it out!

My body is not built for yoga. But Willow Street Yoga has shown me with their hearts and their expert instruction that a 74-year-old woman with aching bones everywhere can excel in this community. Cost of membership is inexpensive; the cost of what I am learning is priceless! My body moves and that touches my soul.

Whether you're a newbie or an experienced practitioner, WSY is the place for you. The variety of offerings -- both in-person and online -- is excellent. All the teachers are expert, experienced, and caring. They also offer interesting in-depth workshops. They've been in business over 30 years, and really know what they're doing.

I’ve been taking classes at Willow Street for years, and it’s an amazing studio. I’ve never found a place with more knowledgeable and engaging teachers, or with as wide a variety of offerings, including on line. It’s a gem that we’re lucky to have!

Willow Street Yoga is a staple in Takoma! I’m lucky enough to be a work study here and I truly enjoy the atmosphere, expertise, and environment here at Willow Street. The classes emphasize elements of the deeper practice of yoga not just the physical. I leave every class feeling grounded and with tools that I can take with me off the mat. I especially love Yoga II on Saturdays and Balance and Flow on Mondays. Highly recommend!

I've been to numerous yoga studios throughout my many years practicing, but I have never stumbled into a studio that has felt so healing to the soul. It makes sense that a studio such as Willow Street has been around for over 30 years. The traditional practices, the teachers who are so passionate about what they do, the unique workshop offerings, and the community provided, is really truly remarkable. I look forward to practicing with this studio for many more years to come.

One of the first classes I took at Willow Street Yoga was with Joe Miller. and I knew right away that this studio was unlike any other. The teachers practice careful alignment, incorporate breath and meditation seamlessly, creating a space that allows for steadiness and ease, on and off the mat.

Willow Street Yoga provided a beautiful hybrid class for our employees at our Wellness Fair. It was easy to follow the instruction and the instructor offered plenty of support.

It would be helpful if one could sign up for notifications when the center isnt open, without any promotions. If there was was an email posted I would have used that.

No question in my mind: Best yoga studio in the region! The first time I attended a class at Willow Street, the teacher knew my name and dialogued with me about my flow, with a friendly balance of challenge and support. Joe connected our work "on the mat" to the rest of lives and I left thinking "THIS is the yoga I've been looking for for the last decade!" That was 2013, WSY has evolved and keeps delivering the very best. Highly recommend.

For anyone who understands the philosophy of yoga beyond asana’s, and who wishes to delve into pantajali’s 8 limbs of yoga, this is the place to practice.Though it is more pricey than most yoga studios, the philosophy of yoga is respected here. It goes beyond stretching, beyond the body, into the soul of yoga, as a union of body, mind, and spirit. Yoga tradition is honored here, and not distorted like many yoga studios do.

Their classes are easy to follow and challenging. The instructors are very patient and warm towards you. I started as a visitor and I was in bad shape. After a few months and a few sessions, I am feeling a lot better and can handle stress better. The breathing techniques have helped me with public speaking. The restorative yoga is the best and now I am able to sleep for six hours or more each night. Willow Street Yoga is the best yoga studio in the area. They have two studios, one in Takoma Park and another in Silver Spring, MD. Both studios are large, clean, and easy to get too. The only caveat is parking which during certain times of the day may be limited. However, you will have a good and close parking spot. Oh yeah, now I am an everyday practice member and 20 lbs lighter. Try it out.

Willow Street is a historically relevant, formerly Anusara aligned (still influenced by that pedigree) institution, so you're less likely to get hurt. Some real masters of Western yoga (knowhatimsayin) amongst faculty alums, and all solid teachers otherwise. Also a fairly major operation with 2 local campuses with several studios at each location. Full slate of classes much of the day everyday. Not a pop-yoga pop-up. Your teacher probably won't be 22 or say like a lot.
