I’m glad I gave this gym a try! I’ve been doing small group personal training sessions here for a few months, and Donald consistently delivers excellent workouts. Each session is just 30 minutes—perfect for my schedule—but don’t let the length fool you. Donald knows how to push you to tap into your full potential. When you feel like you can’t finish those last reps, he doesn’t give you an easy out. Instead, he keeps you motivated and focused until you power through. Even though I complain, groan, and threaten to quit mid-set, I always leave saying, “See you next time.”

I've been attending this gym for a couple of months now, focusing on the small group class taught by Darnell. This is perfect for someone who wants a super challenging but efficient workout! I recently joined and have just had my third group workout session with Donald at his gym, and I don't think I've ever worked out this hard in my life lol. I didn't know what to expect when I first signed up, but I am pleased with my decision to join the gym and Donald's group training sessions. The sessions are the most challenging 30 minutes of my life each week lol. Unfortunately due to my schedule, I can only attend one day a week but he offers his group sessions Monday through Thursday at various times during the day, but even at just going once a week, I already feel a difference not just in my body but in my mental state as well. The workouts have been different each time which doesn't allow room to be bored with the switch up and exposes me to new and different ways of exercising. The workouts are challenging, in a good way. Donald is very supportive and professional and makes the work outs painfully enjoyable! He shows me how to modify the workouts due to a knee injury I have and he knows when to push and when to ease up so as not to overwhelm you, but pushes you just enough to keep going to make it through the end of the session even when you feel like giving up! I can imagine getting in shape here would happen fast with consistency and his workouts. I appreciate the cozy size of the gym, there are two bathrooms, easy parking, and I like that the gym is secured and there is a key card to get in, and even more impressed that it is open 24/7. I joined Planet Fitness for a while, but personally, I was uninspired there and rarely ever went, but here, the environment is so supportive that I can see myself coming regularly under Donald's instruction. He knows what he's doing and does it well, regardless if you are a beginner to the gym or not. This is a no-frills gym and the folks here are kind and it has such a pleasant atmosphere, that I don't feel as intimidated as I normally would in other larger commercial gyms. As someone who is new to being in a gym environment, (because again, I barely went to PF when I was a member lol) I really appreciate this place and Donald is very warm, funny, kind, and yet motivating! I am looking forward to seeing my progress of his group training sessions and it's inspiring to be amongst a group of people at different levels and ages, all aiming for the same goal of self-improvement. As someone who lives in DC, I find it to be worth the trip every session and I highly recommend Donald's gym to anyone who needs to be inspired to be the best version of yourself!

If you are looking to get FIT, Coach Jones is definitely for you! This man will NOT let you down. He’s going to push you until you reach your limit and support you. He’s very knowledgeable and knows exactly what he’s doing. 10/10 recommend!! Donald is a great fitness trainer. He is well informed about exercise techniques, shows you what to do, how to do it, what not to do and why, which is just as important. He is encouraging, motivating, and also supportive of any limitations you may have by shows you alternate ways of doing the exercise. The group classes are fun and never boring but best believe they are also challenging at the same time. I was always motivated to workout and actually looked forward to it! I attended the 16 Week Fitness Challenge and had successfully fitness journey. Not only did I lose weight, I gained strength, had more energy, and received many compliments of how well I looked from family and friends!

Donald is a reliable trainer-his style and method is very effective and helped me to refocus my energies and complete some goals during the 15 day challenge. He stands on motivation and accountability. While I’d like to continue training with Donald, he only offers a group training package including 2 days per week and I want 4 days per week. If he should decide to add as an option, a group training for 4 days a week, I am definitely running back to him!

I really enjoyed the trial period 15 days. It is an smaller independent gym and appears to have its core dedicated members whom are always there. My experience was brief but fruitful but unfortunately classes (bootcamps) are not accommodating to my schedule.

Donald is an amazing trainer. He helps you reach your goal, pushes you to your full potential and he also has modified versions of his workouts for people with different abilities (plus size, bad knees,bad back ect). He is encouraging when I say " I can'tdo it" . It is a real workout, full body, I leave sweating as if I was working out for 2hrs instead of 30min. I really enjoy training with him.

Donald is a great personal trainer. I had worked with various different coaches in the past. His methods are different, and definitely pushes you in the right direction. I’ve never done a bootcamp before but honestly I am quite pleased with the program thus far. Thanks to Year 20 Fit, 16 week challenge, I’ve lost 7 lbs so far and have gained more confidence in myself. I am truly grateful to have the support of Donald and the other gym members. Throughout my fitness journey, Donald has been very encouraging and informative by providing me with necessary dietary information as well as guidance when using the equipment and during group workouts. I HATE THIS GUY!!! I wanted to be lazy and find excuses to not do the work. This guy makes me WANT to do the work. I caught myself awake at 4am bored with Netflix and went to the gym for 2 hours. I'm even doing Ab exercises durring commercials in my living room. Donald brainwashed me!! He makes me sick! In two months I've had to donate clothes that are too big and update my wardrobe. Now I'm walking around all proud of my progress and feeling good about myself. WTH?
Bottom line, if you don't want to get fit then leave this guy alone. He's motivational, professional, and dedicated to you and the process. If you like boring, then stay away because Don always brings something new to the workouts.

This is a nice gym that is open 24 hours with a variety of exercise equipment. I was nervous at first when I signed up for the fitness classes; however, the owner is a great trainer, and he makes each class fun. The trainer Donald Jones is superb n his group training classes. He keeps u motivated & encouraged no matter what ur age, from teens to seniors. If u have a disability & can't do the exercise the way that he specifically demonstrates it to U, then he will modify the exercise so that ur still moving, getting exercise in, & working on that same group of muscles.If u need to get n shape, head on down to Beltsville Year20fit, 4741 Selman Rd, in back of Shell Station, across the street from Costco. U will lose fat, & gain muscle, while also eating healthy.

So I am excited about this fitness experience! Working with Donald is a great balance of rigorous workouts and encouragement! He gets right to the point, ensuring that we are following COVID-19 procedures and maintaining great form. Working out with a mask on is a challenge, but even then Donald gives advice on how to be safe and breathe clearly! Donald is my 3rd trainer and I believe I have finally found the right one for me!

The owner of this gym (Donald) is one of the best trainers I have ever had. He is very patient, kind and pushes me to my limit. I would definitely recommend Year20Fit to anyone looking for a gym home.

I joined Year20Fit in January 2016. I do personal training sessions with the owner "Donald" and he is great. I was looking for a warm and welcoming atmosphere and truly found the right spot at Year20Fit. Donald is very flexible and accommodating with his schedule. His workout routines are challenging and fun. He keeps me fully accountable during my lazy spells🤣. If I say I can't come on a scheduled day, he quickly let's me know the next day is available. The fees are comparable and Donald is always willing to work with you. He is no non-sense when it comes to running his business, but in no way is he rude. Great gym to work out!!

It's been two months that Mr. D help me achieved my goal, he is very patient on teaching me how to to do it right and keeping track , as a new member it's been a pleasure to have this gym, very friendly environment, willing to work beyond, text me and email me of the tools I need to grow such as diet and regimens. Training was really great, I had Mr Donald as my personal trainer, I'm happy , see positive change and have more confident with myself. Mr Donald, the owner is always very encouraging and has vasts knowledge of his profession. I would recommend year20fit in a heartbeat💪👍😀🏋🏻♀️🤸🏻♀️👏👌☝️

The owner of this gym has a very brutish demeanor. I held off joining for a year for that very reason. Then finally gave in because it’s so conveniently close to work. A decision I soon came to regret. This guy made me very uncomfortable. His customer service skills really stink. However I did appreciate my time training with Keith, the equipment is decent and the price is fair. Hence the 2 stars. Yet, I’m glad I found a better/healthier atmosphere to workout in.
