So sad to see the only awesome gym closing not sure what this area would become I took great pleasure working out and have seen results while attending The spin class, glute and core class, cardio kickboxing that no other affordable Gym offers and always thought they need a bigger and better facility in the same area. This gym has gone downhill since I joined 3 years ago. The staff consistently changes. Most of the times they congregate at the main entrance desk chatting. I shared with one of the staff member that a piece of equipment was broken. Two weeks later it is still broken. I observed a staff member wiping down the equipment with a spray bottle and a rag never switching out the rag for a cleaner one. So he is spreading germs from one piece of equipment to another. The ceiling vents are filthy. It appears they have never been cleaned. Today there is a guy working out without a shirt on. Is this in violation of some sort of dress code? Mmmm. Also noticed everyone does not follow rule of wiping down equipment. I am searching for another gym to workout at. I like the location of YouFit which is why I come here. But the conditions of this gym suck. Upper management should inspect their gyms and take notice of the conditions. This gym is not very well maintained to me.

I've been a member since October of 2015. It looks like it's time to move on. I can't even come to life in the morning without a station being occupied but barely used. I'm WAY too old to even consider fighting for or causing a scene about a workout station. This new management has removed good stations and replaced with new, but not remotely improved equipment. Now, I can't even use that. I'd rather pay a higher price at a gym I can have access to than be stuck here. I used to love this gym. But this gym no longer love me. πΆπΎπΆπΎπΆπΎπΆπΎπΆπΎπΆπΎπΆπΎ

I signed up for membership, for some personal reasons I went back the following day to cancel my membership, which upon registration I was told that I can cancel within 3 days and also the agreement states that but thatβs very Untrue. Because my cancellation became a tug of war with so much frustration and back and forth.
I did all that was required of me to enable the cancellation but they kept pushing me around like is a must to keep their membership which was a sign of a very poor brand, because even in the groceries stores you buy and return items even after weeks and you get a full refund. So I donβt understand why Youfit Gym cancellation is a struggle on the second day after signing up, just to take my money for services I didnβt use.
The staff are so unprofessional, no administrative structure, I regretted every walking in and will never recommend.

I just attended Kukuwa Fitness African Dance. Disclaimer: This review is really about the class at the gym, not the gym.
African Dance was fun. All paces are welcomed, I see. I was slowing it down and speeding it up. The music was right and atmosphere fun and sweaty. Great workout and very friendly instructions for me to follow.

I am going to keep this short and brief. I cancelled my membership, after many years going here itβs horrible, I forgave them for the homeless lady sleeping in the sauna on multiple occasions, I forgave them for specific equipment being out of service more than 7x, ceilings leaking, air not working, dirtiness of the facility etc.
That was because they had an amazing staff prior to the new manager 2024.
Only thing I like is their sauna, but I have to put me first π cause no.

Iβve been going to this gym for 4 years now, I really seen it decline in customer service and cleanliness. They had some great staff, friendly and efficient. They now have two new managers or what was said; absolutely horrible. The gym never has paper towels, the ceiling leaks, and the locker rooms are a breeding ground for any type of bacteria you can think.
The beginning of this year from March to April I called to see if the sauna was open it was not. Only for me to arrive and the young lady to inform me the previous person probably didnβt feel like turning it on or have a key.

Letβs move into the financial aspect of the gym, horrendous. Hidden fees everywhere and if you want to pause because of work or medical, you canβt. At least thatβs what I was told. You have to pay for cancellation and wait until itβs approved but in the interim youβre still being charged.
Upside β¬οΈ they have great classes, cycling, yoga, etc. might as well pay for them out of pocket and save a heart ache.

My husband and I closed our membership at this gym early during the pandemic (Winter of 2020) when we found out we were being charged for a closed gym. The managerβs response was, βWe have to pay the employees.β
We also had to struggle to get proof that we canceled our membership, as they also tried to then charge us separately for two memberships when we originally signed up for a joint membership.
So, we joined LA Fitness through my husbandβs job and decided to have nothing to do with this gym. Imagine my surprise yesterday, four years later, when we started the process of buying our first home, and the lender said we had a collections report from an account opened in October of 2022 for YouFit.
I contacted the gym because we were mid-move, over an hour away, when this alleged account was opened. So unless my husband decided to stop unpacking, drive back to Randallstown, and open an account, it was fraud.
The gym then tells me he doesn't have a balance. But I do, and it was for double the amount than his collections account. Mine was an account opened in July of 2022, the very month I found out we were expecting and on a date when I wasn't in town. So, even though we already had a membership at another gym and I wasn't in town, I somehow made it there and thought, βThe best cure for pregnancy nausea is starting a gym membership,β and opened an account. Separate from my husband, who allegedly started an account while assembling the crib.
So, I asked the manager for a copy of the proof that my husband doesn't have a balance. I was told he couldn't email it to me. He could print it out, but he couldn't scan it and send it. When I explained how it doesn't make sense that he can print something out but not e-mail it, I was given the email address to corporate. This was a similar issue I had before, where I had to come to the gym to get physical proof of cancelation. But now I'm even further away with a toddler. Also, there is no easily accessible contact number for corporate, so trying to talk to them directly to get the proof wasn't happening.
The only good thing about this place was the people we met at the gym, some employees, and the holdovers from the old gym. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
YouFit works hard to earn that BBB rating of D-. If you are on the fence, just join another, more reputable gym, even if the commute is a bit longer.

The equipment is great and it's never too busy or over crowded like Planet Fitness.

I'm starting to get very disappointed with the change of some of the equipment being brought into the gym. Both the incline and flat bench press equipment are very uncomfortable and much
narrower than what was there.
The same with some of the leg machines. The gym is starting to look more like planet fitness than youfit. Many of the members are already looking at other gyms to go to.

Perfect for my purposes! I was looking for a gym that gave power and strength training as much of a focus as classes. I found the perfect fit for me at the perfect price in YouFit Randallstown....Every type of weight and bench and cable one might need and want. What I love too is that all types and ages of people come to train and everyone is cordial. And just doing the thing! I think the coaches coach well and as far as out of shape as one reviewer said....the trainers I see are strong and professional...My only complaint? Sometimes Members don't re=rack the weights they use.... Great experience!

I love my gym. The only problem is the current management. Almost as soon as she arrived, she fired the hardest working employee there. Miss Jane. Since her dismissal, the gym is now dirty most of the time. When Jane was there, she constantly and consistently cleaned the place from top to bottom without a single complaint. This is the mostly poorly managed gym Iβve been too. From the equipment constantly broken, to lack of cleaning supplies to be able to clean the machines after usage. If you have questions about the machines you have to go searching for someone as most times they are in some back room and if itβs the manager himself good luck! He acts as if he is so busy. I asked for help and he told me to give him a minute, he never came to assist me. I ended up asking another member. On top of that there are never any trainers actually on site. They take your money but honestly they donβt give much. If you have no expectations THIS is the gym for you.

My husband bought me a membership,I think the gym is very nice. There is a large variety of equipment to use and the design is very attractive . I noticed it normally be really warm in this gym but tonight the air was on so it felt much better. I also think its a little expensive if it wasn't bought for me I would not have purchased membership myself. Overall I get a full workout and my body is looking better already. I used to be a member of you fit up until I relocated. Then during this Christmas holiday, I was around and I came to do something really early around the same place as the youfit gym. I was really pressed and needed to pee real bad. I came into youfit and asked if they could please let me use their ladies(restroom) that itβs urgent. I explained that my bladder was about to burst open if I didnβt pee soon. I even showed them my ID card and my work iDβs as well. I was properly dressed, didnβt look homeless and had my valid nursing ID card on me. But guess what I was told by the lady at the desk, she said she could not help me out that I canβt use their bathrooms and gave the most pathetic excuse. I was so shocked and could not believe my ears. She is an elderly lady, a supposed mother, without any care or emotions towards the needs of others, God bless her. She plainly told me, she will let me use the bathroom only if I became a member and then gave me quotes on becoming a member. But guess what, I will never again be a member of such a horrible organization and I just got some of my friends and family to withdraw their membership. That lady is really very unfeeling, and from today henceforth, no one I know will ever become a youfit member. Keep your gym and amenities to yourselves, thank you.

Energy Fitness Randallstown Gym does not have state-of-the-art equipment. No one is ever around to assist you. The gym personnel are too busy working out, on their cell phones to pay attention to the gym members. Iβve signed up for a 3 years contract and cancelled in the summer. They continued to take money out of my account even an additional $5 because they said I canceled too soon. I went in the office and personally stated βI do not want to renew my contract when it ends.β The gym associate stated that she would take care of it. When I was charged erroneously, I called and told them my story, they said you have to cancel 30 days BEFORE your contract ends. I stated βWell, why wasnβt I told this when I came in to cancel.β ENERGY FITNESS HAVE SNEAKY AND UNETHICAL CONTRACT LOOP HOLES THAT WILL COST YOU MONEY ONCE YOU GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER THEY WILL KEEP ON DEDUCTING AFTER YOUR CONTRACT HAS ENDEDβ¦..DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM !

Everything about this gym is great. Great equipment, staff, location, hours, etc.
My only issues come from how YouFit is run from a business perspective.
1. The fee is supposed to be $10 and instead of pausing all member accounts during the covid pandemic where no one can use the facility, you not only continue charging your members but increase the fee from $10 to $12 without any formal notice or agreement from said members!
2. When you go to cancel your membership, you are charged a cancellation fee! The reasoning from YouFit is that you are allowed to use the facility for that month or something like that, but my thing is, if you are canceling your membership, you're either unsatisfied with something about the gym, relocating, or have already joined another gym. So what benefit does being allowed to come to the facility have? NONE! It's just a slimy way of taking additional money from you which is wrong on all levels and speaks to the character of the YouFit organization as a whole.
I have been a member at this location for years without any major issues from the gym itself, but it's business practices have left a sour taste in my mouth and I can never recommend this place to anyone.

Was really disappointed and offended Friday when the lights were actually turned off while I was still working out. That was dangerous. Myself and others could've injured ourselves in the dark trying to make it to the lockers and while fumbling around in the dark while in the locker room. The problem stemmed from the closing time of 10pm that's listed on the front door was not in agreement with their unstated true closing time of 8pm. I just signed up for the gym a little over a week ago and no one at all informed me that the closing times on the front door were not accurate. Very unprofessional of them. And in spite of this being their fault to actually turn out the lights while 4 other patrons and myself were still using the equipment was dangerous. Outrageous. The young employee who did this did make a announcement that they were about to close in 3 minutes but myself and the others thought that he was either joking or mistaken because the written- posted closing time on the entrance door is 10pm, not 8pm. Someone could've been injured in the dark. And the young employee unequivocally knew that we were on the floor still working out. Very, very bad thing to do.

I felt compelled to write to you about my experience at one of your locations in Randallstown MD.
I stopped in to purchase a membership for my son. Things were moving along quite nicely. After entering my payment information, I was then informed there would be a $39.00 signup fee. I asked if they could explain what the fee was for, they could not. I was then told I would be charged another $49.00 60 days in as a yearly fee. Once again, AFTER I had already set this up. Poor customer service, not disclosing all fees up front and not knowing what the $39.00 fee was for.
I was looking online and low and behold an ad to join YouFit popped up. I clicked and saw that the plan I signed up for stated the enrollment fee was only $19.00. I called the club to see why I was charged $39.00. Lady at the desk could not tell me. I am not even sure if the people working there even want to be there.
This is not very professional in my opinion. Not disclosing upfront fees, or other fees being charged 60 days after sign up. Financials are extremely important to people at this time. Perhaps some proper training for the people that work in the YouFit gyms would be beneficial.

Youfit is a great gym to workout at, employee does a find work of keeping the place clean, and a find work over there. They do take the covid safety precaution very serious, I think that is a good thing.

Please dont go here i cancelled due to covid and they are still charging me. The customer service over the phone is very rude when i tried to resolve me issue. Tell me if i paid the cancellation fee why am i still being charged a monthly fee...

I am so disappointed by your services because first, of all you did not even bother to write the email when the business closed to explain to the customs what to expect. Second, we have not been using the the gym for over 3 months now , and every month you remove monthly fee and yesterday you remove annual fee...what in the world is this? if your business is closed, we are also straggling to met every month bills for the things we need most or cannot do without. I do not see the reason why I you should be cutting annual fee at this this time. I would like to close this account immediately i cannot afford continue paying this kind of money.

Great gym for the price. Most staff members give great customer service. Others are either too busy talking to their colleagues, or they're on their phones. The locker rooms are well maintained since getting the current staff. Overall, I am happy with the gym

Need more cleaning supplies on hand for members.. like paper towels, working spray bottles, etc. Also, need to have better upkeep on machines when they start to get wear and tear (e.i. rips in cushioning and things of that sort).

Terrible customer service. Their membership canceling process is a joke . You can only come in person to cancel it. I had to come in after 1 month of training to cancel my membership and have been waiting to be helped for over an hour. It's currently 747 PM and I just want to see my kids before I leave for a 10 month deployment starting tomorrow afternoon. I told the lady my situation and her response was "I promise I'll get to you by tomorrow". Never again will I come to this place.

I thought about joining this week but after my experience today, I am now very apprehensive about it. I went to the gym around 4:09pm today and I told the young gentleman that I wanted to pay for the day. He tells me that it's $10. I said ok. I had my headphones on but he said something else. He walks away but then turns around and asked me if I am good and I said yes, I just want to pay for the day. He says it's $10 dollars. I said ok, I want to pay. From a distance, he says ok, you can just give the money to me and you can just go work out, that is what I was saying. He walks closer to me and I told him that I don't have cash but I am paying with a card. He says oh, as if he was surprised or disappointed. At this point I was irritated because he kept leaving the desk and talking to me from afar. I said, that's ok. Thank you. It was a very weird interaction and what I took from it is that he was going to take my $10 and pocket it. I don't want to assume that but what else could I gather from it. When I said that I didn't have cash, he says oh but paused for a second. Not once did he say, it's fine, let me go ahead and take care of the transaction for you. Plus, he seemed more interested in the fitness floor antics than a potential member. I don't want to join a gym with dishonest employees. I really want to give it another go because this gym is walking distance, but I am going to pass. I will go and seek out other health facilities.

YouFit isn't and won't be able to have my membership ever again. The Operational Manager plus the General Manager aren't doing anything good for the club, therefore, making all of these "rules" to the point that it makes others (such as myself) uncomfortable. The second thing, they ALWAYS have the AIR CONDITIONER running even during the WINTER TIME. Many members/clients continue to ask the question, why are they still running the air conditioner during the WINTER TIME? The only REAL LEADERSHIP at YouFit Health Clubs LLC in Randallstown, MD is Larry and nothing more. The current staff @ YouFit continue to have conversations about there's no leadership from the General Manager (Ian) and Operational Manager (Nick) whatsoever. Between these two, they continue to do individuals wrong (staff & members/clients).

I am a forner member of the Mount Clair Location. Let me start my saying the staff at this location was A1, always helpful, friendly and willing to answer workout question...questions about the machines..etc so my issues are not with the staff. My issues began when the corporate office changed the club hours and re-located the entire training staff to other locations. Corporate made the hours so restrictive that many clients were forced to cancel their memberships because you could only workout from 10 am to 5 or 6 pm on most weekdays. Sat/Sun hours were changed to 10 am to 3 pm and even the staff were not happy as this cut their work (pay) hours. I contacted Corporate (through the gym club Manager) inquiring as to why the change was necessary and was bluntly told in an email response (which I still have) that the decision was made based on their corporate needs (NOT) the clients needs and if I was unhappy then they would cancel my membership. I stayed because the location was 5 minutes from the downtown are that I live in and because I am was told in that same email that the location was NOT CLOSING. Then, on Saturday, Dec 22, 2018 I went for my workout only to find that the Mount Claire location had been closed!! Mind you, I had just been to workout at this gym 3 days prior and the club was in business...fully staffed and all! Youfit...without any notice to their clients, had closed the location! When I got there on Dec 22nd, Corporate was removing the equipment and the representative from Corporate who did not identify himself told me, and I quote: βThis location is now closed, all contracts have been cancelled and you will receive a refund.β It is now, Jan 7, 2019 and I am still waiting for my refund. I have contacted the two remainig clubs in my area to find out when I could expect my refund, and have been given the run around!! I will NEVER use Youfit gym clubs again, and I certainly do not recomment Youfit to anyone!!!
